Zoox Corporate Office

Zoox is an autonomous vehicle company founded in 2014 by Tim Kentley-Klay and Jesse Levinson.

The company has created a completely new type of autonomous vehicle that is designed to operate as a taxi service. Rather than a unique vehicle, the company can retrofit older models. In June 2020, Amazon purchased Zoox for $1.3 billion. Two shareholders have sued Zoox in August 2020, stating that there were better offers on the table that would have benefitted shareholders.

Even some employees of Zoox were not happy about the sale, threatening to quit.

Zoox released a video of its car in action, maneuvering through heavy downtown San Francisco traffic in April 2020.

Brad Ruoho and his wife Mistaya sold their online information company to spend more time with their three daughters. Noting that their daughters were glued more to their iPads than each other, the couple decided to create and find toys that were more interactive and encouraged family time.

The first Legacy Toys location was in their hometown of Ely, Minnesota. Later, the company expanded to include Duluth, Minnesota. Today, Legacy Toys has 7 locations.

The company was hit hard when it was forced to close in March 2020 due to the coronavirus, but Brad knew that parents would need toys more than ever to entertain house-bound children. A new website with online ordering capabilities was created and the company rebounded with more sales than before COVID.

The company says it can’t say when or even if stores will open again, but online sales are more than making up for lost sales.

Fat Dog’s Grille and Pub was founded in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 2003. The company is known for its wide variety of unique foods, including vegetarian hot dogs and VooDoo Dip, a dipping sauce.

It’s interesting to note that the Chef behind some of Fat Dog’s unique food creations, Brandon Kasten, is a vegetarian. Kasten is the creator of the restaurant’s vegetarian burger and hot dog, as well as the creative side dishes.

In April 2017, the company moved to its current location on Spring Garden Street. This larger location allowed the company to build its own on-site brewery, called Bark Brewing Company.

This neighborhood style bar and grill has a very large menu, along with a huge selection of craft, import, and domestic beers as well as full service bar. Best known for the chicken wings and secret recipe sauces not available anywhere else.
