Lolly Wolly Doodle was founded in 2010 in Lexington, North Carolina, by current owner and CEO Brandi Temple. The company designs and sews women’s and girl’s clothing.

Temple began sewing clothing for her own daughters, but after making some extra clothing out of left over fabric, she was surprised at how fast it sold on eBay. Using a spare room, then later most of the house, she found that she sold clothing more quickly on Facebook than any other platform.

Today, the company designs and sews all it’s clothing in North Carolina. There are 4 brick and mortar stores, but the majority of the company incomes still comes from Facebook. Lolly Wolly Doodle is one of the largest and most successful stores on social media today.

Three Dots Corporate Office

Three Dots was founded by current CEO Sharon Lebon in Garden Grove, California in 1995. Lebon wanted to make a women’s clothing line that included fashionable items for modern day women, not just teens, after being unable to find a simple T-shirt that fit well.

The company is unique in that 95 percent of their clothing is made in America at the factory in California. Besides being sold at their eCommerce site, products are sold at most upscale department stores, such as Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, and 6 PM, as well as online retailers like Amazon and Zappos.

Three Dots operates showrooms in New York, New York; Los Angeles and Garden Grove, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Dallas, Texas; Woburn, Massachusetts; Centennial, Colorado; Seattle, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Toronto, Canada; Tokyo, Japan; Milano, Italy; and Victoria, Australia.

The company’s focus is more on staples and basics, such as tops, skirts, and jeans, rather than following fashion trends. Three Dots has recently introduced a clothing line for men as well.

Company headquarters were located in Garden Grove, California.

Go Jane Corporate Office

GoJane was founded in 1998 by current CEO Tony Pang. The company operates an eCommerce store, which offers young women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. The company is especially known for its stylish shoes.

As of November of 2012, the company operates as a subsidiary of Aeropostale. GoJane has filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy proceedings in May of 2016. It is unknown if Aeropostale will sell off GoJane or if they will simply reorganize the debts of their subsidiary.

Val Surf Corporate Office

Val Surf was founded in Valley Village, California, in 1962 by brothers Mark, Kurt, and Eric Richards. The brothers loved everything about the ocean and surfing, but found they could only find gear at beach side stores. The Richards decided to try their luck and, with the help of Hobie Surfboards, they opened their own landlocked surf store.

Today, the company has 4 locations, none of them on the beach. In addition to selling surfing equipment, the company also provides rentals, repairs, ski gear, shoes, wetsuits, swimwear, and other beach apparel. The company also designs and manufactures their own snowboards and skateboards.

Although the company has been approached by realtors for beach city properties or questioned about pop ups, the Richards family, currently, is happy with their land-locked store locations.

Eloquii Corporate Office

Eloquii was founded in 2011, as a part of The Limited Group. The company operates a chain of designer plus size women’s clothing stores. While under the Limited, clothing was available only in a few selected outlets.

Sun Capital Partners, who owns The Limited, decided to close out Eloquii after only 18 months. Investor John Auerbach and former Eloquii investors purchased the brand and reopened stores in 2014. Demand for fashionable plus sized clothing has grown dramatically over the past decade. Auerbach’s plan for the company is to introduce new designs and styles every two to three weeks.

Eloquii offers women’s clothing in sizes 14 to 26, as well as accessories, shoes, and jackets. Models for the company include Bree Warren and French model Clementine Desseaux.
