After Reading all these comments it’s crazy I thought it was just me but I also had several charges made on my card and once I called the number I was told my money would be reimbursed but then the next day it was denied, the store that was using my card I called and talked with the manager and she let me know it was a very fast transaction, and clearly not me making the purchase, 55$ was used then right after they went to another store a vitamin shop and tried to make a 100$ purchase but I shut the card off. the manager of the number I called said I would have to file a police report because he thought it was me but in all this mess the store in question is 4 1/2 hrs away from me. I was told by a representative at the location in san Jose to make better choices and I should have locked my card from the beginning, and that’s so discerning because I thought my account / money was safe.

Somehow someone cloned my debit card an was used in a town 1.5 hours away from where I was at when two fraudulent charges appeared on my account. My debit card was never out of my possession and I provided video evidence of my whereabouts at the time of the transactions. I called to dispute them the moment I saw them show in my pending transactions. I also would’ve had to driven 178mph to get to my business from the time the second transaction occurred, I also provided a police report amongst other evidence to prove that I did not authorize these transactions nor did I give my card to anyone. They have no officially denied my dispute a fourth time. These charges occurred on June 16th abd they have yet to contact the merchant and have flat out done nothing to look into the issue.
Chime is a crooked bank and could careless about their customers. I will be reporting them to the BBB, Federal Trade Commission, The Attorney General of my state and I hope they get forced to shut down. From reading other comments on here it sounds like they’ve gotten pretty good at screwing people over. At least send a complimentary bottle of lube when someone signs up for an account.

I have all proof of my location July 24, 2022 (when it happened), and they continuously claim “No error has occurred.” Just like you my card never left my possession. I will be doing the same.

Thank you for your post. I have decided to cut my losses and give up the quest to retrieve the money that was stolen from my account. I have luckily been able to move what was left of my money to another account. Chime can keep the $0.27 that I left in their possession. I hope those people choke on it. I have moved all of my deposits and turned off the cards. They’ll close it eventually. I don’t care.
As for Chime, I will never ever place another dime in their hands. They can’t be trusted. My personal opinion is that the very people who are making decisions regarding our disputes, are the same ones hacking our accounts and stealing our money. Why else would they refuse to return charges that we dispute and prove without a doubt to be at the very least suspicious? They have no intention of returning that money. It’s how they get paid. I also believe the “credit builder” account was made to make it even easier to get at our money. No PIN.
Goodbye Chime! I’ll be spreading the word far and wide as to what you are. Your playbook works both ways. You denied my dispute and refused to prove that I ever made these charges.

After sending that email (a few back and forth) – the mistakenly advise that all was settled and account be closed. Therefore, with this confirmation, I gave them the ok to close account. It turns out (though I followed-up 2 more times to ask “are they sure”?) it was not the case. My ACH bounced and my money was placed back into my Chime account and my account was blocked. After spending over an hour on the phone and some back and forth email with their fraud team, they were able to unblock my account so I can do the ACH transfer. I had to provide them with legal ID to “re-open” the account to do this since they close much sooner than they should have. With this, I then proceeded to ACH out my balance again. I waited a few days to ensure the ACH would “settle” this time and not rely on Chime. I then asked them to send my residual interest of having my money for the following time periods:
Interest should be, not including compounded daily interest:
$20, 667.66 for 13 days of June or $3.68 in interest at 0.50% APY.
$10,000 for 21 days of June= $2.87.
$2,500 for 28 days = $0.96 cents.
Total, of at least, $7.51 due in interest not including any residual compounding daily interest.
They refuse to provide me any interest as they stated that I had closed the account and I could not get this interest. Long and short – this bank had my money of the dollar amounts above for those amount of days and gave me no interest whatsoever as they, again, are stating I requested to close down the account. This is true AFTER Chime stated incorrectly that it was settled; it wasn’t. This is fraud!

On Saturday 5/21 I received text notifications from CHIME asking if I attempted to use my debit card at a cafe in HOUSTON TX. I live in CA. I denied the transaction 3 times at which point I checked my account, by that time it had already been cleared out of all my funds. I was left with $5.10. I opened a dispute with CHIME and the next morning it was denied they claim to have evidence that I in fact made those charges. I asked to reopen the disputes, they told me I needed to provide “ more i formation” so I contacted all the merchants, got addresses (ship to addresses that were used), I filed a police report as they suggested and the next morning ( Monday 5/23) it was agin denied.
They do not want to refund my money. I will be obtaining legal counsel and filing complaints with the FDIC and BBB.
When I agreed to using the CHIME service, I was assured my money would be insured and safe and that is not the case.

This is the most unprofessional company. I have ever dealt with. I received a return from a merchant on my account 3 times and my account has been locked for a week plus. I keep receiving the same emails which aren’t providing me any help. Customer service on the phone is no help. But this has me in a outrage based on the fact I can’t get access to my account to feed my child. This has been the worst situation and chime seems unable to provide me with assistance to fix this problem. This is just ridiculous. They want me to provide receipt for returns from 3 weeks ago which is insane why would I have receipts for things I returned weeks ago. They are also asking me to go the merchant which I can’t do if I can’t get gas money from my account to get there. I can’t believe how long I have been doing this is issue and it be unresolved.

I’m dealing with the exact same thing. I woke up to an alert on my account saying my card was declined. I logged in and seen there was online purchases made for Lowes which I did not make. I went back and forth with Chime Support on the phone and emails. Safe to say I’m pretty much screwed out of my money. My balance is $0. I couldn’t file a dispute because the charges were “pending” which I don’t understand how Chime could not stop payment. Their response was “we are not a bank.” After they let the scammers purchase go through now I can file a dispute. They sent an email saying they’ll make their decision by August 3. I wish I would have read the reviews before I signed up with this joke of a bank.

I was assured last night that this would be expedited so that I could access my money. Your company has control of my money and as you can see in the notes on my account, I’ve had everything I own stolen. I spent 6 months in jail and was released on 1-6-2022. Upon arriving at my house I discovered that it has been completely destroyed and my belongings were gone. I have no other place to live, which is why it is a critical situation and need for access to my account. I was told 5 days ago that your company policy/procedure was to wait 24-48 hours. Again last night I was told the same thing, however I was also told that due to the situation not being handled properly by your company that the necessary changes to the account would be updated and I would have access this morning.
I’m not sure what else your member services department is going to come up with for another excuse as to why it has taken so long to update information. I’m a 45 year old woman with medical issues as well as some mental illness. As of 5 days ago, I have been homeless, on the streets which is not beneficial to my health. I’m unable to eat and sleep while your company has made me jump through hoops to regain control of my account. As a result, I am experiencing the symptoms of a stroke or heart attack. The person/people that stole from me have used my money the whole time I was in jail. Why does your security policies not apply to them?? I’ve given my ID verification 3 or 4 times and each time I’m told to wait another 24-48 hours.
I have been left no choice but to file a legal complaint with Better Business Bureau, your corporate office, as well as going to the media. This will be more negative publicity for Chime Bank. All because of your inability to treat a customer of 5 years with compassion, understanding, and allowing me to be able to use my hard earned money even though I have complied with everything asked of me to the best of my current abilities.

I accidentally logged out of my account from my own phone and when I tried to log back in i was locked out of my own account. I have never logged in from a different device. I called customer service and this fools wants me to send them photo of my driver license front and back, a picture of me holding my id with a written note of today’s date with my social security number. Wtf are they thinking. If u ask me they are trying to extort me for my own money. How is logging out and logging back in from the same phone my account is on deemed suspicious activity. When I inquired about what happened they could not give me an answer. It’s a stupid system they got going. I will never do business with chime. I had two direct deposit going in with chime. Thanks to cashapp I am transferring my direct deposit to them. Never chime with chime again.

Has anyone ever had issues where they called customer service and the agent could not pull the account up using one of the last 5 settled transactions? Chime bank is a joke. I have been with them for a few years and have not had issues until recently. Someone hacked my account on Sunday and since then I have been on the phone with chime probably 30+ times. My account was recently “suspended” and when I call them the agents are unable to pull my account up no matter what transactions I give to them. Has anyone experienced this issue? I have no idea what is going on with my account and I am freaking out.

Chime took $100 sent to me after suggesting I open account with a different number other than mines because my number was used prior. I opened account and sure enough my first payment went to someone else. I was found in fought even though I proved my number was absolutely mines. To change my number took so many emails I became frustrated being ask to send what I previously sent. So I called and the representative said ‘oh I see it’. I felt degraded dealing with their reps plus treated unfairly and when I ask to speak with someone over the supervisor they said they basically don’t have any nor information to contact anyone. So basically if your not happy with how they treat you. Who cares? I just wanted to be treated fairly and listened to properly without feeling brushed off or feeling like I’m wasting someone’s time. I’m a independent business owner and I don’t want my money given away and basically your money is not insured so please be careful and watch every step while dealing with Chime. I literally gave up trying to get my refund and hoping my number updates 50 emails and 10 phone calls later. I just wanted someone to look through the emails I had to send to see was I treated unfairly. I felt violated and very mistreated. Hoping for better communication will update at a later time.

Chime “Bank” is absolutely the most horrendous financial institution out there. First of all, they outsource ALL of their Customer “Service” agents to some 3rd World country to save a few bucks, and you can barely understand anyone. I submitted a fraud claim regarding 63 transactions that occurred in The U.K. (I live in The U.S.A.), almost $850 in fraudulent transactions, they said a provisional credit would be applied within 10 business days if the claim wasn’t finalized by then.
They never did.
I had to call them back to figure out what the hell was going on, they “escalated” the claim and told me to wait another 3 business days to get the provisional credit, meaning someone LITERALLY wasn’t doing their job. 3 business days later, they denied my claim and said it was closed, however the individual transactions say “Still working on it” with a Closed claim status via the Chime App. Oh, also, they want you, the customer, to print out and fill out by hand all the transactions and charges being disputed/submitted as fraudulent. What the hell year are we in, 1993?
I tried to get a hold of the claims dept, and got transferred about 3 times until I finally got a Customer Service “Manager,” she was EXTREMELY rude and kept talking over me and cutting me off, never gave me an answer to my question of “If the provisional credit was supposed to be issued within 10 business days, then why was it never issued?” I even asked her to put me on hold and go talk to someone in the claims dept, because apparently they literally don’t have phones in that dept (at least, that’s what she told me) and no communication is available via telephone between customer or employees to the claims dept.
What an absolute joke of a “bank,” STAY AWAY! I’m filing a police report and possibly contacting a local news station to shed some light on these scamming pieces of s**t

I’m extremely pissed off! My account closed due to savings account problems at the end of April. I requested for my check to be sent to my address on May 16. I’ve been regularly checking in on my check and everything was fine until a member told me i had to provide proof AGAIN to get my check sent to said address! At that time it was June 4, i was told on June 6th that they canceled and resent my check without my consent!! Why would you do something so dumb if it takes up to 20 days??? & I’ve been persistent with emails of how urgent i needed that check. Now it’s June 16 as of today and it’s STILL NOT PROCESSED AND I STILL DONT HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER!! I just just disputed $140.61 through Chime. My card has been Fraudulently used by someone from Stockton, California. When I reside in Michigan. Chime has that transaction pending. Which should be incorrect. I made the phone call to Apple.com and spoke to Candice about this fraudulently transaction. Apple is now aware. That purchase was made in California and delivery was stopped. Red flagged. However “Chime” did not make an effort to contact The Apple company. Chime couldn’t make any attempt to resolve this Dispute. I was pi**ed. Then finding out from Alberto from Texas doesn’t work in the Corporate office when he just works at a Call Center for Disputes.

Yes I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Chimes Dispute section all the miss information I received from them I could not believe all the different answers I received, My account was compromised back in February I took out a withdrawal from a local ATM less than a hour later 120 miles away 2 more withdrawals were made cleaning out my account I instantly called Chime they said they could do nothing till they have cleared well they cleared I contacted Chime and filled out the paperwork and sent it back, well guess what DENIED 580.00 gone I contacted Chime again they told me that I need to wait till I receive the paperwork in the mail FIRST LIE never received anything called again then they said it had only been 9 days if I didn’t receive it after the weekend call back, still nothing, my job keeps me very busy sometimes late at night I get off hard to make phone calls. Got in contact with them again they said that they said no such thing that it would be in the mail it would be in email so I looked nothing I called again they tell me they need to send it again, finally received it called to find out how i escalate it and they tell me it was closed SECOND LIE I asked the first time if they closed it and they said they would not close it. So I am out 580.00 and I even gave them the name and address of the ATM it was taken out at so they could get the tapes so they could prosecute the real crooks but no they would rather steal it from me, they are insured for it I am not I lost my car because of Chime I am still fighting but I also filed a complaint with the FDIC and I hope they get to pay fines but I doubt it the rich getting away with anything they want.

The stimulus funds were sent to banks on Friday, March 12th and Chime posted many on Friday, Saturday, and a few early Sunday. That was until The IRS wanted funds to post on Wednesday, March 17th. All banks are posting today, except Chime, Cash App, WMN, and other Bancorp and Meta Bank prepaid cardholders Social Security, SSI, and other Social Security paid individuals are in the batch posting, especially if they have the previous stimulus checks as well. The Treasury Secretary, The Federal Reserve Ceo, and NACHA have said it as well. Very few on social security have posted unless they filed taxes for dependents or rebate credits for the previous stimulus not received. Chime is closing accounts after receipt of funds in some accounts, and requesting verification from people that have received before and are on social security. My mother has died and im about to lose the car and place to live, especially because her death was related to conditions in my home. she was in hospice and i live in The Mayors rented property. THE OIG is involved because of medicafe fraud, hospice fraud, and law enforcement retaliation, so post the funds before i file another suit from a tent in the woods.

I’ve been with Chime for a little over 2 years. Here recently my card was charged for $458.00 by a hotel that I’ve never even been to nor do I know the location. So I immediately notified chime that these were not approved charges. Literally 1 day later I get a message from chime saying nothing was wrong and my money would not be placed back in my acct so I requested documentation that they obtained from said hotel. So all because the hotel said I was there and booked 2 rooms for the SAME dates that I automatically was there even though I wasn’t! I went back and forth with chime even sending screenshots of my Google location for said dates and I still have been fighting with them!
2 days after all this crap happened I get another email from chime saying my account was picked for a random audit and that all my funds where on hold until further notice. Well goodbye Christmas for my kids because chime the POS bank they are have taken about a 1000 bucks from me and suspended my account!!!

I definitely think a class action suit is in order. I started receiving emails from them that I had opened an account, but I never did. I received another saying they sent deposit verifications to my account. I don’t know if someone fraudulently opened it in my name or if this company is trying to obtain my information. I’ve been trying to reach a person for four days now – I finally got a message from support saying they needed a copy of my government ID and social security number. No way am I sending that when I’ve never opened an account with them. I just filed a report with the FTC, not sure what else to do at this point. There has been no money taken from my accounts, I’m keeping a close watch, but this is still a major concern.

On May 12,2021 at 2:50 pm I got an alert that I did an ATM withdrawal and then right after a transaction was declined in Mexico city but I was at work in CA and I had my card on me. I contacted chime and was told I had to wait till the transaction posted I immediately changed my PIN and my password on the app.i called and they said that a dispute will be open 2 days later I got the email that the dispute was closed and denied my money gone I immediately transfer all my money into my other bank and deleted my information. I made a police report filed a complaint and reported them to the BBB. I called them today and told they need to to properly investigate because there is no way I did that transaction because the transaction that they denied was in Mexico City and I was at work in California with my card on me so how does that make any sense

My account was compromised at around 7:14 am as $400.00 vanished before my eyes as I was going over my account online. I immediately contacted chime support and informed them that my account was compromised as someone transferred the money from my account to another. I informed customer service to closed the account and give me new account. The representative said they could not do this. Needless to say the returned the money back to my account and the money again was transferred to the same person, and two other persons had transferred money out of my account as well. They changed the password to my online account and I was never able to access it again. Member services should have simply closed the account and issued me a new one. After disputes and police reports filed and I closed the account myself, they said they would send me a check for my 400.00 instead I got an email later telling they concluded their investigation and saw no error on their end and said they would not be returning me my $400.00. This is by far the most despicable conduct from a banking institution who says they care about their customers they basically robed me of my SSN money did not care I had bills to pay and on a fixed income. Any other bank would have closed the bank account once I told them my personal information and banking information was compromised not put the money back in the same account for thieves to do it again. Chime needs to return my money back to me, as this robbery no different than the low lives who transferred money out of my account illegally. Chime conducted its just like a common thief and their customer services reps or whatever they are called were incompetent and experienced and lie, when they do not know something. Lies Lies Lies and they cannot speak proper English WTF! Chime I want my money returned to me by check in the mail. Or I will be filling a civil action against you the grave emotional distress that has been inflicted upon me. I called Bancorp to see if I could get information from them and they put in an investigation to get me details! I would like to know exactly why my account was closed without prior notification or anything? I want to know when my money will be returned to me? I want to know how a company just closes your bank account where you have your payroll check directly deposited every two weeks faithfully, my veterans disability benefits directly deposited every month and my state benefits as well? All of my finances go to my bank account and with COVID-19 going on I need every dime I have and now $600 just gone!! What type of company would do this to someone? I have been with chime almost 3 years never had a problem with any deposits or anything! How do you not let someone get their money out of their account before you close it for no real reason! I’m in a hotel and now have no idea if chime is going to allow the transaction to go through or not when I check out in a couple days!!! I’m freaking out because there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why my account should be closed! I even asked what do I need to do to get it back open, and they emailed me saying reference section 9!!! That’s not an answer!!! I need clarity and understanding and my money!!!

I have a claim dispute and they denied it because they couldn’t contact the merchant. If I could contact the merchant don’t you think I would’ve gotten my money from them? I used chimes mobile check deposit feature. It says on my app and the website before and after i processed the mobile check that I would have my money in full by wed Jan 28th. I have not received a dime and now they say I will maybe get $200 tomorrow and the rest of my check could take up to 9 business days. They had absolutely no solution for me. Trying to upload my economic stimulus check to my chime spending account has been a complete nightmare. I tried up loading my check Tuesday night when I got off work, the next morning I woke up to a message telling me it was rejected. The email I received advised me that I hadn’t endorsed my check correctly. Under my signature I had to put “for chime deposit only”. I wrote that on the back of my check, took another picture, less than 3 hrs later I received a message telling me that the lighting wasn’t bright enough and my check couldn’t be made out. I proceeded to take another picture with different lightening and a different surface, but this time I screen shot the picture of my check the exact same way that you guys would receive it, before I sent it. It was a perfect picture. About 17 hrs later I received the exact same message telling me that the check was rejected again due to the lightening issues, by this time I was completely pissed. I called and asked to speak with a supervisor, the supervisor Johnathon was a big help, he looked through his notes and told me the check kept getting rejected because they need to verify that I was actually eligible for a stimulus check. This information wasn’t disclosed to me through email at all. If I would’ve never called and spoken to a supervisor I would’ve still been getting rejected because of a lightening issue. How could you all completely lie to your customers? You guys had me thinking it was the lightening and surface issue. Once Johnathon escalate the issue over to the proper department with documents that showed I filed my taxes and then boom 20 minutes later I get a message telling me that my check was accepted. It’s funny that I didn’t even have to send in another picture of my check ( I thought it was rejected due to bad lighting issues). They used the exact same check that I sent 17 hours ago. I want to speak to the corporate office because I don’t think it’s fair for you all to treat your customers like this at all. It’s a damn shame and I’m still upset about this. We are going through a crisis right now and you all don’t even care to make sure you customers are taken care of properly.

Your app has constant problems. I have every intention to me chim eonce I received my deposit this month. There are constant outages. My ability to see my income, handle everyday transactions, and do things smoothly is impossible. Aside from that, I have been with you long enough that by now I should have received an update to my overdraft for spot me. Some people are getting them every week, others go up one week, and down the next. There is no rhyme or reason to what you do, and your customer service representatives are not very knowledgeable. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL BEWARE!! As far as the “no fee” banking goes it is true in some regard and they do give you direct deposits 1-2 days early which is nice, but the good stops there. If you have ANY type of issue with this bank you are utterly screwed because all you will get is repeated hours long sessions to outsourced call centers in India with representatives who cannot even answer basic things. I had a dispute and ended literally wasting at least 45 hours on multiple calls, faxing and e mailing documents and still have not received any help. You can FORGET trying to reach anyone in the corporate office because they make certain that they make nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get that real address or phone number. I can only assume that this is because they do not want to be bothered by the many customers who I am sure are very angry. So, while the two college students who started this mess enjoy all the profits, their concern ends there and it shows. I have sent letters to three different addresses in California, ZERO response. I sent messages for the CEO on Linkedin Twitter, and FB – ZERO response. It is clear you will not get any help. And by the way, this “fee free” bank will charge you $4.95 to deposit YOUR OWN MONEY by the Green Dot service. So you have to pay to give them your money. No thanks. I think if any of their executives cared at all they would work to change the reputation Chime has but clearly as long as the money is rolling in and there are people who cannot get a bank account any other way, they do not care about who is unhappy as long as they aren’t.

This is BS!! I was referred by a friend for the chime card. I am a single mom and am only able to work part time. My paychecks are NOT more than $200 in one check because I get paid weekly! When I first set up my Chime account, I called customer service to ask if the $200 for you to be eligible for the referral bonus has to be direct deposited in one transaction…I was told BY CUSTOMER SERVICE that it DID NOT have to be in one direct deposit as long as you have $200 direct deposited within 45 days of opening your account. Now they are saying that I don’t qualify for the referral bonus because I didn’t have a single direct deposit of $200 or more! That’s bulls**t! Misinformation, poor customer service, AND FALSE ADVERTISING!! NOWHERE on the website or the app does it specify that it has to be in ONE direct deposit!!

They call themselves a bank but they are far from it. I recently opened a a bank account with them and set up a direct deposit. While waiting for forever for my card to come I tried to get $5 transferred over to my boyfriend accounts who also has a chime account. Because I didn’t have my card yet I had to send my ID, social, the amount requested, and email address to the support team to have the funds transferred electronically my boyfriend had to do the same. We both sent what was requested from the support people and didn’t hear anything back from anybody. So we call customers support to find out what’s going on. The first gentleman we had to repeat ourselves several times just for him to understand what we were trying to do finally when he understood he came back saying they didn’t receive the information when both of us had service support numbers. When asked to speak to manager she confirmed that they received all the information that was needed but now he had to wait for the support team to verify information when she just said everything was verified. When I asked her to get in contact with whoever could help us her response was they can only communicate through email. When asked to speak to her manager she said their was no way they could help with the process and it would take 24 hours. Never informed by anyone that it would take that long now I have funds that I can’t access because I have to wait for somebody who member services can’t get in contact with to verify the information they already verified just to get $5 transferred. A normal bank if you want to deposit money into someone accounts you don’t need them with you or their ID or their social you need their account number and the funds. If you call in the first thing they ask for is you name, birthdate, last four of social, and a recent transition on the account to verify your identity. If that isn’t enough verification to transfer $5 to another chime account, Chime may want to reconsider the inconvenience they are creating for people because they have most definently lost two customers. And the customer service was horrible both managers I spoke to was rude the first one even threatened not to help and I wouldn’t get anything done.

Chime.is holding my money after I went to market paid 55$ for food and ask for cash back. These people charged my card 3 times!! And didnt even give money baxk! BROKE entire weekend! Put hold on my account and says wait 7 days, even though I sent in like 50 copies of my receipt. This is a scam! Closing account soon as my money is freaking returned. This is a joke, as well as customer service, sent 50 copies, to get MY money back! These people are criminal!
Thos is why traditional banks will never fear these people. Messed up transaction, they fix same day! This chime bank is a joke. I will NO longer deal with them! BROKE for days while they sitting on my hard earned money!

The same has happened to me and I’ve been fighting for weeks to get my money back. They had the nerve to send me an email asking me to contact the person who stole the money to ask for my money back as if I knew who these people were! Contact the FTC and have your attorney contact them which is what I’m doing and I’m filing a suit.

I have a problem accessing my funds. I have ordered a card twice also tried to get my money transferred 3 times to another chime account! I know your policy states up to 24 hours but it has been 3 days of the consecutive run around. Its getting annoying and I’m losing trust in Chime. I lloved, and i mean past tense this bank. Recently the whole bank system went down and we were not able to have anything coming in or going out, the debit cards were just cut off and back on. I had a payment due that day and it was due to the system errors that it did not go thru. Now i have to pay full price, and most of it up front. I cant afford this being i am the only one working in my household. Chime will not even write a letter stating that the system went down.
i mean and that is not the only problem. I also never got any referell bonus. Then someone stole and used my card to pay for a phone bill. I have total wirelss and the bill paid was straight talk, and they still say its not enuff evidence to make a decision on whether i did it or not, so there fore, they have not give me back my money. Where can we turn for help.

Customer Service is non-existent. Check deposit feature on the app was not activated until I made several phone calls and emails, and then personal checks were always rejected with no notice or explanation. Customer service responses are all scripted or form letters, seldom responsive to the issue. It appears that the only department in the company which works well is their advertising crew. The only reason I gave them even one star is that zero was not an option.

They are horrible. They either returned my direct deposit to my employer on the 18th or the 19th depending on who I talk to. No one can you me a straight answer and after 30 minutes on the phone earlier trying to talk to a supervisor they hung up on me

I TOTALLY AGREE on all the negative comments!! I have been dealing with a credit dispute for over a month and even the merchant spoke to them and put it in WRITING the charge was incorrect and they still have not removed it. I have wasted hours on the phone with customer service who are not even in the USA and can barely understand what you are telling them much less help you resolve anything!! If you want to try to locate the corporate information GOOD LUCK. Chime PURPOSELY makes it almost impossible to get a good address for anyone at the executive level or based in the US because they know how many people are angry with the poor service!! They may not charge fees but trust me do yourself a favor and switch to Ally or Aspiration – both charge zero fees and you can actually reach someone in the same country you are in who will help you. I have mailed letters to several different addresses trying to get the right corporate one and it is a joke. Mr Britt you may be smart and had a good concept, but you should be ashamed of yourself and what you deem customer service. People deserve better meaning a good account and GOOD customer service not no fees but you have to go through hell to get help with anything! TERRIBLE! I CAN’T WAIT TO SWITCH AND WISH I WOULD HAVE SIGNED UP FOR ALLY IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Chime is a darn joke!!! I do not recommend this bank to anyone! Now, I am dealing with a lawyer and this place can kiss my darn butt! The reason why is because I am a contractor for Uber where I have to make quarterly payments to the IRS. But the IRS never received any quarterly payments and now it’s lost and this darn company will not do anything to help me. Thus, this has been going on for more than a year that I am dealing with these people! I’m just not getting any satisfaction!

I’ve been dealing with a dispute since April 2019 and the merchant received the documentation from chime and responded back to then stating to give me my money back here we are in july and the merchant responded in may and chime has taken the money from the merchant and have yet to place the funds back in my account so i have hired. An attorney and that $400 dollar dispute will be costing them way more than the dispute if i where you guys and your having this issue or similar issues please contact an attorney as soon as possible.They have so many lawsuits from what my attorney showed me from taking people’s money they just had to pay a guy almost $5000 from a $140 dispute.

I deposited 450 dollars in card and not even 30 minutes after deposit I went to pay my bills and they f^^^ closed my account I spent 4 freaking hours emailing back and forth with incompetent employees who have done nothing. Never had a complaint about Chime until today!!! ATT did a reverse payment for $515.08.. I called Chime the day ATT returned the payment. I was told to wait 3-5 days.. Well today is the 5th day and nothing. I have been on the phone all day between Chime and ATT. ATT emailed me the confirmation in regards to this matter.. Well all that Chime could tell me is wait till the end of the or dispute it… I asked them to call ATT with myself on the line. According to their so called “customer service” they don’t do that. I told them that it’s not ATT’s fault since they sent me all the documentations. I told Chime I don’t have time to be waiting for no dispute. Of course they said “there’s nothing we can do” FU YES U CAN!! I thought Netspend was bad!! Hell

I am very f-ing pi**ed off with Chime. I’ve been a Chime user for over two years. I currently lost my identification card and got a new phone in which I was locked out of all apps. My phone got wiped clean. I contacted Chime to help me reset my Chime app password they required me to email them back-and-forth with my ID card in order for me to Reset my password. Mind you for days I was trying to call and get in contact with an actual Chime member. So I finally contacted Chime member and they tell me there’s nothing they can do to give me access to see my account because I don’t have my ID which is understandable but you have my social my phone number my address my date of birth and all I’m asking is for a password reset so I can have access to see me spending my money thats in your bank. And you guys have all of these stupid procedures in place when someone simply needs to change their password to the app the only way they have access to their account They can’t help.
I have to wait three weeks for my ID to come in the mail so they’re telling me for another three weeks I won’t have access to see my account because they can’t help me reset my password that’s f-ing ridiculous. On top of that I needed them to transfer the money from my savings into my checking‘s because I don’t have access to do it without the app and they said to manually do that they would have to close my savings for a whole 90 days before can be reopened. I am so done with Chime run for the hills stick to your general city banks

I have an unresolved dispute on a few transactions. I sent in all the proper documentations to my claim as far as my claim actually being true. I have not received the proper or professional feedback when I called I have a voice call recording to verify that I am like a step away from going to the media with those recordings from representatives in the department to supervisors that also treated me with such disrespect and actually laughed in my face when I questioned my account ..the visa zero policy states that I should have gotten provisioned credit on my account within 10 business days since the transactions was unauthorized and I provided evidence that my account was being used against my permission… I am wondering if this bank is legit now especially since the representatives cant explain why the policy is not being upheld its like false advertising
