Skip Scooters Corporate Office

Skip Scooter logo

Founded in 2017, Skip is the latest electric scooter company to enter the market. Skip stands out from the competition by offering an online safety class, as well as free helmets that can be ordered online.

Shalin Mantri, formerly of Uber, designed the scooters, which come with rear-facing cameras, a retractable lock, and a battery that can be swapped out, so there is no downtime for charging. Renters do not have access to the camera, it is designed to keep records so Skip can monitor parking compliance and learn about rider behavior.

Skip Scooter 1 CEO Sanjay Dastoor hopes the retractable lock will help stop the theft of scooters, which has been a problem for other companies. The company has also made their scooter a bit sturdier in hopes that they last longer since some scooter companies have reported that, with frequent use, scooters have worn out within 2 months.

Skip Scooters Skip is currently the only scooter company that hasn’t been hit with a cease and desist order, according to CEO Sanjay Dastoor. The scooters are currently being used in San Francisco and Washington, D. C.

Originally called Waybots, Skip executives worked with city officials, rather than dumping scooters on city streets than asking for forgiveness. By learning from the mistakes of other scooter companies, such as Bird and Lime, Skip hopes to take over the scooter market.

The corporate office for Skip is located in San Francisco, California.

Citing discrimination on dating sites such as Tinder and Bumble, Christy Lawton decided to start her own dating app platform. Launched in late 2018, the app is slightly different than others in that women must initiate the conversation and men are not only expected to pay for the first date, but women are encouraged to report them on the app if they don’t.

Righter App on Cell Phone  Like most dating apps, a swipe left means you are not interested in a persons profile and a swipe right means that you are. Many profiles on Righter include the person’s personal and political views, as well as their pertinent information.

Righter Founder The app is very new, but some people have talked about how few people appear to be using the site. Founder and CEO Christy Lawton stated that there are thousands of users and she expected the selection of profiles to grow tremendously by the end of 2019.

Company headquarters are located in Jackson, Wyoming.

Tinder was founded by Sean Rad, Jonathan Badeen, Justin Mateen, Joe Munoz, Alexa Mateen, Dinesh Moorjani, and Whitney Wolfe. Wolfe later left the company to start her own dating app, Bumble.

The app was originally designed as a chat device but most people today use it as a dating app. By swiping to the right, a user “likes” another user’s profile. When both parties “like” each other, they are able to chat. A swipe to the left is a “dislike”.  The app has proved to be so popular that within two years, the company stated it was registering 1 million swipes each day. Tinder is one of the first apps to use the swiping motion.

Tinder Advertising In 2013, the company won the Best New App award by online site TechCrunch.   The company stated that they had 10 million users as of 2014 and had an estimated annual revenue in 2018 of $800 million.

Since it’s inception in 2012, the app has been downloaded more than 100 million times. An estimated 79% of users are millennials.

The company introduced new emojis for 2019, which included people in wheelchairs, interracial couples, and people with service dogs.

Tinder app on cell phone Company headquarters are located in West Hollywood, California, however, recent reports state that the company has plans to move to the Silicon Valley sometimes in 2019.

Foodie Call Corporate Office

Foodie Call Logo 2

Ana Mehra worked in corporate offices for years and became so frustrated with the lack of restaurant delivery services to business that she decided to go into business for herself. She founded Foodie Call in 2010 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mehra says that the company is more than just a delivery service, but a restaurant advertising firm as well. The company is one of the few to use insulated “hot” bags to deliver food, keeping it as warm as possible. The website uses cute lines to promote food, such as ” I’m saucy and you get to pick whether I’m dressed in ranch or bleu cheese. I’m usually pretty spicy but I can also be mild and sometimes a little sweet if that’s what you like. If you like wings, you’ll like me!”

Foodie Call was once limited to Charlotte and outlying areas, but after being acquired by Bite Squad in late 2017, the company now delivers almost everywhere Bite Squad does.

Company headquarters remain in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Rover Corporate Office

Rover Logo 2

Rover is an online app that offers pet services, such as dog walking. Founders Greg Gottesman, Aaron Easterly, & Philip Kimmey came up with the idea and won an app startup contest in 2011. The company launched its mobile app later that same year.

Rover App on Android

The company began by creating a marketplace for dog sitting and boarding services. Over the next four years, they expanded to offer dog walking, doggy daycare, and drop-in visits. Every sitter on the platform is an independent contractor and is not an employee of Rover.com.  In 2017  Rover.com began its Quick Match dog walking service, enabling owners to instantly book a dog walker.

The company earns money by taking a percentage of each booking made on its site, which is generally from 15-20% for dog sitting/boarding services up to 40% for its Quick Match walking service.

Thousands of millennials are taking advantage of this carefree way of earning cash without keeping regular hours or having to deal with bosses or co-workers, with some people saying they earn more than $3,000 a month using the app.

Rover App on Iphone Clients for the company have more than doubled in the past two years, even though there was one report of the accidental death of a disabled dog.

Rover states that it hires only trusted personnel but at least 6 people have claimed that their dogs died or went missing after using Rover services.

Headquarters for Rover.Com continue to operate out of Seattle, Washington.
