Ellen G. White, the founder of the 7th Day Adventist Church, gave her church in Battle Creek, Michigan, the task of building a hospital, called the Western Health Reform Institute.
Over the years, other “sanitariums” as they were called, were constructed. In 1983, the company rebranded itself as AdventHealth.

AdventHealth is “extending the healing ministry of Christ”. It adheres to a faith-based model called CREATION Health.
AdventHealth currently operates 45 hospitals with more than 8,200 licensed beds in nine states, 15 skilled nursing facilities, and 36 urgent care locations; serves more than five million patients annually in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room visits; and employs more than 80,000 people.

In May 2020, due to the coronavirus, AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida, received millions of dollars in federal aid.
In June 2020, the company purchased 22 acres in Tampa, Florida, to build another hospital and medical offices.

AdventHealth maintains a corporate office in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

If you apply for a position in nursing, there is no follow up after the initial interview from anyone. It is extremely unprofessional and unchristian to not communicate as promised.
Whether or not you get an offer, someone should reach out with the decision. It makes the candidate demeaned.
I totally agree with you 👍
I feel the hospital needs to have a patient advocate available to review the home situation to make sure the person going home is capable of caring for the sick person and totally understands all instructions ! My Mother ended up back in hospital 8 days later because of all the mistakes that happened , oxygen, nebulizer , was not delivered on time . Issues with her medicine , could not use inhaler for a week because of not being shown how to open etc. All of this is un called for !!!

Advent health is the worst !!! The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.. Their billing department is the worst I have ever dealt with. It is very confusing as you have Advent Health, Advent Health Medical group and the bills come from 2 different places NONE of which ever have the same account number on them. I have been fighting with their billing office since September as everyone I speak with says its not their offices problem !
I m having an awful time with a doctor that submitted 3 blood tests without proper codes to medacare for $350. They are not doing anything to get this resolved. Medacare wants more information from this incapable and abusive doctor he has done nothing.
Two years ago I gave birth to my son Sebastian in your Ocala FL location. I received a grey fuzzy blanket with your logo on it. Which has turned out to be his favorite blanket. He takes it everywhere. We have missed placed it. Please help me find another one. Help me be his hero. I have contacted the Ocala location and was informed that they no longer carry it. I’m begging you to help. He ask for it daily and multiple times a day!! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
We are considering moving to Lakeland, Fl. Can you tell me why Lakeland has no Advent Health Multi-Specialty Center, to address the various needs of the residents there? We are patients with Advent Health, and currently go to the Wesley Chapel location for tests/surgeries. I see lakeland has plenty OB/GYN locations in the area, but outside of an Advent Health urgent care facility, this doesn’t address other specific and various health needs people have. This is critical. The ONLY “hospital” is Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, and it was given 2.5 stars. Not at all comforting, nor is it good! Lakeland can do better than this, so why isn’t it? It needs a great hospital to take care of its people, such as an Advent Health Mulit-Specialty center. Please advise. Thank you.
