Fashion to Figure was founded in New York, New York, in 2002 by two great grandsons of Lena Bryant, Michael and Nicholas Kaplan. These brothers wanted to create another plus sized women’s clothing store. The name comes from a quote from their great grandmother, who once said in an interview that women should not change their figures to suit fashion, but should bring fashion to the figure.
The company operates a chain of plus sized women and teenage girls clothing, sizes 12 to 26. As of late 2016, the company has 26 locations and secures their inventory from more than 100 fashion vendors. Current CEO Michael Kapalan says that the company feels that a wide array of vendors can offer their clients more choices.
Fashion to Figure has readily available sales associates, which help customers in choosing the correct style and designer for their shape. The company offers dresses, swimsuits, jeans, footwear and active wear.
As of March 29, 2021, Fashion to Figure stores has reported that it had to let 263 employees go due to store closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To Whom It May Concern,
I placed my order o4952933184 on 10/7/2021 totaling $186.55 from Fashion to Figure. Their return policy states “For online purchases made after October 6, 2020, if for any reason you are not satisfied with any item purchased, simply return it within 45 days of the order date to receive a refund at the net price (after coupons and/or discounts).”
I sorted through my online returns on 11/19/2021 & triple checked the dates of my orders to ensure I was still within the window of 45 days. For this order, November 21st would be the last day I would have to return my items, so I immediately packed & dropped them off at my local post office that same day.
I received an email on 11/21/2021 for both separate orders stating that my return is in transit. On 12/8/2021 I only received one email stating my return has been processed for only one order. I sent an email on 12/14/2021 in regards to missing a refund on the other order I sent back. I received a response from Queen Angel on 12/16/2021 stating exactly as it says in the return policy “To stay new and fresh, we ask that all merchandise be returned within 45 days from the date originally ordered” and offered a discount on my next order. I replied with the fact that my order was returned on the 43rd day so I am still within reason to receive a refund.
I got a response from Arvie John on 12/17/2021 that my order was received by the warehouse on the 50th day on 11/26/2021… NO where in the return policy does it state that the warehouse must receive the returned items by the 45th day, it simply says “return within 45 days.” Old Navy has the exact same return policy & I chatted with their customer service for clarification & they state that items do NOT have to be received by the return date, a label must simply be created by then.
FTF does NOT specify in their return policy that the warehouse must receive returns by the 45th day to receive your refund, so I am still waiting for my refund.
I have filed complaints to the BBB and FTC as well.
I look forward to receiving a response soon.

FTF customer service has really dropped the ball on me more than once. I am extremely angry and displeased with my experiences. On 5/31 I placed an order for two items. On 6/1 I received a message that the items shipped separately. The top arrived but not the bottom. I chatted live with customer service to check the status of the 2nd item so that it would arrive in time for my flight. I was told that my 2nd item would arrive 6/2 however that was very far from the truth. My 2nd item was not only the WRONG item but it did not arrive until 6/4 although I paid for OVERNIGHT Shipping. Again, I reached out to customer service who refunded my shipping and informed me that I should receive the pants to my set. I went on vacation without the items purchased. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! When I returned to open the package, I received another top INSTEAD of the bottom. I immediately mailed the item back so that I could simply receive the correct items that I ordered on 5/31. I was told the pants that I ordered will arrive in approximately 4 days. Once again displeased with my experiences I reached out to customer service by phone. After being on hold for 50 minutes and asking to speak to a supervisor four times I was hung up on. I immediately called back and spoke to a supervisor. The supervisor informed me that once the 2nd top is received I will receive a refund and a discount on my next purchase because the pants are NO LONGER IN STOCK. I NEVER received a refund or the PANTS I originally ordered on 5/31. On 6/22 I contacted FTF Customer Services yet again. I was placed on hold 40 minutes to wait to speak to a supervisor. I was then told someone would call me back. NO ONE EVER CALLED!!!! This has been such a terrible terrible experience. The customer service does not match the quality of the clothing. The only thing I am requesting is the Lina Striped Wide Leg pants (size 3 or size 4) that I originally ordered on 5/31.

I love FTF! I travel from NC to Atl every other month to shop there. If not I shop at the one in NY.
I just shopped again Monday Feb 10th the associate who was the closing manager was being very spiteful so of course she killed my excitement and I just had to leave with just a few things. I travel too far for that kind of treatment. I enjoy leaving FTF with a small wardrobe. I would like to speak to someone in coorperate

I am so disappointed. I was at Fashion to Figures at Pg Mall and brought a body shape vest during my process I was informed that I could make payments in the store before 30 days of the purchase which would have need to be paid by June 2nd, between May 30th or 31st I paid for the merchandise during that time i asked to close the credit card and was informed by supervisor Tay that I needed to call customer service, I received a bill in the mail stating that I missed a payment and I had a bill for $136.00 I don’t understand I paid the bill on the store for $71.68, why am I getting bill to pay a difference, I called the store to call Tay and was informed she could do without a receipt, I informed her that if she could look my transaction up and was told my transaction was not found in the system or any information containing the card, I am for a investigation on this matter and hope to resolve it. If someone could contact me it would be great fully appreciated.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am a disappointed customer of the Fashion to Figure store located in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. On 03/30/19, I purchased a $76.00 shapewear. I did not try the item on. After finally trying the item on a home a few days later, I discovered I would need a larger size. I attempted to return it on 04/06 and was met by much resistance from manager, Nikki. She stated the item could not be returned nor exchanged despite all tags remaining attached. I asked for the Store Manager who was not available.
I also clearly pointed out there were no signs posted in store nor was that non-returned policy verbalized to me at the time of the purchase. Nikki clearly disregarded this information. I asked for Corporate Office and/or the District Manager’s information. I was provided a first name of Cheryl with only a dead end phone number of 1 800 723 5333 which does not address complaints nor customer service which appears to be non-existence at ALL levels.
Therefore, I have been reduced to putting my complaint and hopes of a resolution being put into an email in hopes of my issue to be resolved.
This morning as a last ditch prior to my email, I was able to contact Store Manager Maha who also lacks customer service etiquette as she directed me to the back of the receipt for the return policy. This of course still argues my point that the return policy needs to be visible in store or verbalized during the purchase because if I’m reading the receipt at this time I’m stuck with items that I could have prevented purchasing.
I am trying to remain hopeful that a company as large as Fashion to Figure connected with NY&C would do the right thing and keep a customer.
