Wawa began in 1803 as a dairy farm. George Wood imported cows and sold “sanitary” milk to school children, who used to become sick from raw milk. Wood had doctors “approve” his milk as safe, which convinced many parents to buy his milk for their families.
The company grew rapidly as demand for dairy products increased.
In the 1960s, consumers began to buy milk from grocery stores, so Wawa transitioned to a convenience store in order to sell their own milk. In 1964, Wood opened his first convenience store in Folsom, Pennsylvania.
By 1989, there were 400 Wawa stores.
In 2003, the company began to construct a new distribution center in Carney’s Point, NJ.
Wawa launched its own line of soda in 2007.
Wawa was among the first convenience stores to implement self-service computerized touch-screen menus for food orders, in an attempt to improve order accuracy.
Wawa provides surcharge-free ATMs, the result of a partnership with PNC Bank, which started this program back in 1985. The company implemented this program in stores in 1996. In 2010, Wawa surpassed 1 billion transactions under the PNC brand.
There are currently nearly 750 Wawa locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida.
In 2022, the company announced that it would be opening its first stores in Georgia by the end of 2024.
The name WaWa comes from the city where the corporate office is located. Wawa is the Ojibwe word for the Canadian Goose, which is the store symbol.
In September 2022, WaWa asked House candidate Matt Jenkins to stop using their goose logo as his campaign logo, stating that it was a copyright infringement.

Hello,
I am writing to you regarding John McGlynn, he was the assistant manager at store 216 in Bridgeport, PA
It has come to my attention that he was terminated because of a comment he made not to a customer, but to himself aloud that unfortunately the customer did hear. The comment by my standards seems very trivial, something like “religion is stupid” which he apologized to the customer for when he realized that it had upset them. He didn’t single out a particular religion or even swear in his comment. If you ask me, it’s his opinion or should I say belief, isn’t that what the first amendment is all about?
I have been coming to your stores for decades and John’s store in particular because of the clean and efficient manner he has kept them. He is always pleasant to talk to and very helpful not only to customers but the fellow employees as well helping them in every aspect including driving them home or to work on many occasions. From my understanding he has reassigned to various store in order to teach them the high standards he has always tried to work by, isn’t that the type of employee every company dreams about?
It saddens and disturbs me that 20+ years of dedication to your company can be destroyed by a non-threating comment or opinion, I believe you have made an egregious error by terminating John from your company. I will be commenting more about this on my social media site to see if others agree with me on this matter.
I don’t know if I can continue to patronize your stores knowing John will not be there to help, serve, and at many times make laugh. I truly hope you will reconsider your decision and reinstate John back to his position, It would be the right choice, “in my opinion”.
Sincerely
Matt Glisson

I visited a WaWa location today (7/23/22) at 8:30am to order 5 breakfast sandwiches. There weren’t any of the turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwiches in the hot area so I ordered them. I was told that I should go to walmart buy the eggs and sausages and make my own sandwich. I spoke to the manager Cedric and told him what was happening in his store to his customers. I ended up not buying anything from the store and honestly was going to let this rude incident go until I got in the car and saw 3 hungry small faces. If you are running around early in the morning and you have your babies with you, you want to grab them a quick bite to eat DON’T visit 1300 N Laburnum Ave. Richmond VA 23223

This is a public health hazzard to customers and employees.Iwent to the wawa on street rd it was the same.Iwas dissapointed in wawas lack of precautions.

Excuse me sir?? Why don’t we start by returning to the 2nd grade where we first learned Grammer, punctuation and how to spell?? Second, we’ll take a trip down memory lane to the 5th year of your life where you learned how to be grateful for things because there are people in this world who are way less fortunate than you are who would have done some pretty unsavory things just to have a chance to eat the bowl full of hardly any stuffing or sweet potatoes and NO TURKEY!! BTW George…. what exactly was in the bowl if there was hardly any stuffing or sweet potatoes and no turkey?? What was it… a bowl full of cranberry sauce?? Anyway, let’s start being thankful for the things that we do have instead of griping and complaining about EVERYTHING that we don’t have because the is always someone out there who has it way worse than we do!! Thx……. ✌

John, I was on the WaWa website tonight, 3/22/2022, and came across your response to George Beadling. Wow! Mr. Beadling started his comment by saying he was “disabled” – did you happen to read that? Did it mean anything to you to be so hurtful in your response. Maybe it is a mental handicap, or the result of head trauma or a stroke???? Maybe his hands are not as agile as yours and typing is very difficult. He was unhappy with his meal, and had every right to be. Maybe the employees at WaWa are the ones you should be concerned with.
Why would anyone be so disrespectful and hurtful to ANYONE, let alone someone who admits to being disabled? Maybe your 2nd grade / 5th grade education is the one that needs revisiting. Probably even your education level today as well. Be kind. Life is too short and too many people are hurting. I hope you never find yourself “disabled” and someone hurts you.

On September 12, 2019, at approximately 1:49 PM, I checked out of the WaWa location at 668-682 South Salisbury Blvd Salisbury, Maryland. I purchased for lunch a prepared salad with an extra dressing. Upon returning to my place of business just one street over, I was ready to eat. Although I had wanted to eat right away, when I finally did get to my salad, I noticed that there was a live, and flying fly in my salad! Yes! Alive and FLYING! Inside the bowl!!!!! I immediately became ill! This is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen!!!!!
I called to speak to someone at Wawa about this and Robbie answered the phone. In his attempt to be courteous, while also being very ill equipped to handle such a situation, Robbie determined that I needed to speak to the manager. In turn, he defers to Michael, who was the manager on duty. Michael was certainly even worse at his job then Robbie! Not once did he empathize or sympathize with me on this issue. In fact, his behavior was the polar opposite of descent and compassionate customer service. So much so, that I became even more perplexed as to whether he would be able to resolve the issue to my satisfaction at all.
As a local business owner of more than 25 years, just one street over from this Wawa location, I have patronized this establishment, the entire time it’s been here. Due to its convenience in proximity to my hair salon, I have often walked over as many as 3 to 4 times in one day, encouraging my clients to do the same and have never experienced anything so revolting! This is clearly a health code violation and I will be escalating this to the Health Department and the BBB.
I really wanted to submit the video and pic of my salad and Michael but it would not allow me to ?
As for the behavior of the management staff, as a suggestion, it may be in WaWa’s best interest to get someone in that store who is better trained and is also more customer service driven to actually support the customers since Michael is so nonchalant and arrogant about attending to their needs. It was very disappointing to have such a thing happen, after all the many years I have been coming to this location. But to be disregarded and treated like it was no big deal infuriates me. Based on Michael’s response, this apparently happens often??? WaWa should be ashamed of not only selling a product with bugs in it, but to also have management staff that makes the customer feel they are one who is wrong for bringing the item back and asking for their money! Instead he offered another salad??? Who would want another salad, especially after being treated this way! And to add insult to injury, he apologized meekly with a mumbled under the breath apology, as I was leaving. This almost unheard statement came a little too late to matter.
In closing, I am very displeased with what I experienced and will not hesitate to make all of my clients, friends and family aware of what I have experienced at Wawa.

DO NOT USE CREDIT AT WAWA THEY ARE FRAUDULENTLY SKIMMING MONEY FROM PEOPLE ON A REGULAR BASIS! IT HAS TO BE AN INSIDE JOB AS MUCH AS IT HAPPENS AND AS INCOOPERTIVE AS THEY ARE WHEN IT DOES. IF THEY WERE NOT INVOLVED YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD GO OUT OF THEIR WAY – ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ASSIST THEIR LOTAL CUSTOMERS AND TRYING TO PUT A STOP TO THE FRAUD AND ABUSE INSTEAD THEY DO NOTHING TO HELP YS AND CHOOSE TO DRAG THEIR FEET AND TALE THE ENTIRE 45 DAYS THEY ARE ALLOWED BY LAW TO RESPOND SO THEY CAN COLLECT THE INSTREST ON ALL THE MONEY THEY HAVE STOLEN BEFORE GIVING IT BACK. ITS THE ONLY LOGICAL EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THE REFUSE TO ASSIST YOU WHRN YOU REACH OUT TO THEM OR WHY THEY REFUSE TO COOPERATE WITH YOUR BANK OR PROVIDE YOU WITH A WAY TO HELP YOURSELF PROVE THE CHARGES WERENT MADE BY YOU. PLUSE WHAT COMPANY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD ALLOW MULTIPLE HUNDRED DOLLAR TRANSACTIONS ONE RIGHT AFTER ANOTHER AT A PUMP AND THEN GET CASH BACK ON THE SAME CARD SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT AND ITS A SHAME IA A SINGLE MOM AND THEY BASICALLY STOLE FROM MY KIDS MY LIGHTS ARE GETTING SHUT OFF IN 2 DAYS AND I CANT FEED MY KIDS AND ALL THEY KEEP SAYING IS WE HAVE 45 DAYS TO RESPOND AND THEN THE BITCH ON THE PHONE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT CORPORATE GETS NASTY WITH ME AND WANTS TO CATCH AN ATTITUDE THEY ARE DEFINITELY INVOLVED TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE UNLESS YOU JUST HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY AND THIS COMES FROM A VERY LOTAL CUSTOMER WHO WAS AT WAWA MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY…MY MISTAKE

They obviously have no one in their company who even reads these posts. If they do, then they have horrible customer service because there has not been one response or apology to any of theee people and some of these experiences are just horrible. I never imagined my favorite go to for coffee as such a horrible place ran by corporate greed, their only interest is in the almighty dollar and to hell with treating people with respect and kindness. The original owners are probably turning over in their graves ot haunting the hell out of the offices – disgusted by what their legacy has become. I know I would be. When I first moved to Florida from Philly, the thing I was going to miss the most was WaWa. Me and my husband were actually joking around and throwing the idea out there for about a year, saying we should open a WaWa down here, people would LOVE it! The next thing we know they started popping up all over the place. Obviously other transplants had the same idea. The only thing is ….it’s NOTHING like WAWA the customer service is horrible they have one register open in the morning during rush hour while 5 employees stand around doing nothing and a like out the door with people trying to get to work. The people behind the counter are rude, disgusting and you think how did they even get hired?? I actually had a lady eating with one hand and cashing me out at the same time, with food in here mouth and everything. And it doesn’t matter what store you go to, it’s the same st all of them in the Orlando area. And then you risk the chance of getting robbed or skimmed or whatever scam they have going on. Every single person I know who has ever paid with credit at the pump at a WAWA here has been skimmed. Some people multiple times because they don’t learn their lesson. And yet WAWA DOES NOTHING to HELP or TRY TO PUT A STOP TO IT. Their simple response is oh so sorry you lost all your money because our employees are too stupid to notice multiple $100 transactions minutes apart but we have 45 days to respond and we’ll take that entire 45 days because it’s not our money, not hurting our family or our pockets and because the longer we keep it the more jnterest we can earn before we have to give it back. It’s bullshit…especially when I am calling you, telling you that my electric is about to get turned off and what can I do personally to prove it was not Me who made those charges…never been to this store and I was at work that day at that time…please let me help speed up this process?? Their response …NO we have 45 days you have to wait for us to reply to your bank. Is there anything else I can do for you now? The bitch was sooooo rude..I’ve nevr in my life commented on one of these things before but this has me so upset that I really just want everyone to know what kind of company this REALLY is we are giving our money to and next time maybe we should all think twice and drive right by to the Starbucks or McDs or anywhere but here…the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

This was s going to bring down your wawa store there and if it does good cause it’s going down hill now with these teens in there and going as they please. I like wawa but I do not like this one . They allow too much and too many teens at once and allowed to take what they want . What the heck . It’s bringing down the neighborhood . Sorry but I see it .

FRIED IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY COMBATIVE. I WAS PROMISED HER BOSS WOULD CONTACT ME I BELIEVE HER NAME IS DEBBIE FLETCHER. MS. FLETCHER TRIED ONCE BY PHONE AND LEFT NO MESSAGE OR CONTACT NUMBER. EVEN MORE UNPROFESSIONAL. OVER A $7.54 SAID I AM AN EX WAS A SHOPPER. I SHOULD SAY WITH 30 YEARS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF I HANDLED THINGS THIS WAY I WOULD BE FIRED. I WILL MISS ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE I HAVE COME TO LIKE AT 464. BUT ROYAL FARMS IS PRETTY GOOD.

I have been a committed and loyal customer for over 20 years. Wawa runs a spotlessly clean group of stores that are seldom out of what I want to buy. I get my breakfast there almost every morning. And my breakfast is not a breakfast sandwich. It is usually a Wawa soup.
But I have a suggestion. Normally in the morning until about 11 am, the only soup available apparently by corporate edict is Chicken Noodle. Of all of Wawa’s soups, this is my least favorite.
I think that Wawa is not aware of people who do not eat on a normal schedule or as what is expected of them to eat. I love their New England Clam Chowder, I like their Chicken Corn Chowder, Potato & Bacon, Broccoli Cheddar and several other of their great soup line. I like their latest Tomato Basil Soup but don;t get any on you. That stuff stains any clothing it touches. I did like their old Tomato Soup recipe. The best Tomato Soup I ever had was on the old Pennsylvania Railroad Dining Cars and that recipe was exactly like the original Wawa recipe. It did not stain clothes either and I know since ZI generally eat my breakfast driving my car on the way to work every morning.
However, and Sales listen up, you can’t sell a product if you ain’t got it up and ready to go. There are people who have mid-day breaks and get off work at times that do NOT coincide with a regular lunch hour from 12 to 1 pm. If you put more soups up, I will bet that your soup sales increase. You have the space in your hot meal area so use it. If I go in a Wawa before 11 am, and they only have Chicken Noodle available, I am not a happy camper.
Now here is the reason that I love Wawa. Their staffs are personable, remember their customers and do a great job. I have built up a little friendship with employees at a certain Wawa location and I can call them early in the morning and ask what soupo they have ready. And they tell me. I ask them to drop a bag of New England Clam Chowder and they never turn me down as long as I wait an hour or so to go ad pick it up to give the soup time to heat up. That is great customer service and, guess what Sales, I never leave the store without buying something to drink and to snack on that day at work.
So what would it cost to have a minimum of 3 soups available as early as 6 am?
I also suggest that you consider offering Meatloaf (albeit without the dreaded Green Peppers) with Sides and in Sandwiches. Personally I hate Green Peppers but I love Red Peppers. Meatloaf is universally loved and would sell. A Sandwich made with a half-inch slice of Meatloaf would get chosen before almost anything else.
Thanks for listening.

On April 6, 2018, my husband lost his bank card at the North Cape May store #980. It was turned into the manager, Ellie. When my husband came in the following day to ask if his card was left there, she stated, with a smirk on her face, that she destroyed the card. I called the district manager, Blake, who explained the policy was to lock the card in the safe and wait approximately 2-3 days before destroying the card. Blake assured me that this manager would be addressed, and hopefully, he will follow through. He did a good job dealing with my complaint, and even offered to supply me with a WaWa gift card, but I declined. This is not about money.
This manager worked in the Rio Grande store, where my husband was previously employed. I believe that due to an unknown problem that this manager has with my husband, that she destroyed his bank card with malice. My husband was fired from his job at WaWa for being physically attacked by another employee last June. He absolutely loved his job at WaWa, and still to this day doesn’t understand why he was fired for being assaulted. I personally believe that this manager, Ellie, has had some kind of issue with my husband from the get go. She was always messing with his schedule to accommodate other employees, but despite all of these things, he still loved his job.
That is absolutely unacceptable behavior by any employee, but especially a manager. Some type of follow-up needs to be done by corporate. This manager needs to be written up, if for no other reason, than for not following policy. She should also have to attend some type of extra training to help her realize what type of behavior is expected of a manager. I’m sure there are many other employees willing to fill her management position. Many of them possessing the willingness and ability to do a much better job.

Thought I would share this about my Wawa experience today… I went to Wawa at the end of my school day to get some lunch I had gotten ashes for Ash Wednesday just before I got there I ordered my food and went up to the counter to pay as I’m standing there a women preceded to make comments about my ashes to the cashier and then turned around and told me wipe them off. I told that’s my religion respect it . Do you mind, to stop bothering me .. yet she then kept on badgering me about wiping that stuff off my forehead, the cashier just stood there and said nothing. I then slammed my receipt down and said forget it and started to walk out the manager came over and asked me about what happened and when I said another customer was berating me about my religion she said well not our concern since it wasn’t an employee. Well it’s good to know that Wawa condones religious intolerance by their customers and stands by quietly while its being done. Oh did I happen to mention this was the Wawa on 34 in old bridge! Thanks a bunch can’t believe that it happened tomorrow I will be going to anywhere else .

My names Amber. I’m a Christian too. I work for wawa and religious intolerance is almost as bad as any other intolerance. I’m sorry that occurred at our stores and it should’ve been corrected on the spot. Unfortunately the cashier didn’t know what to do. You should contact the call center and let them know; that way they can inform the management team and the manger that talked to you can informed of proper procedure. We like all our customers to feel accepted and safe in our stores. Give this number a call 1-800-444-9292 tell them where this happened the managers name if you can remember it so they can get back to you and hopefully resolve this issue. Then prevent it from happening again.
Thank you and I’m terrible sorry that this occurred.

I frequent the WaWa in Laplata Maryland daily and had thought since a new manager was rotated in there that all of the existing problems would be resolved but that has definitely not been the case. They somehow managed to find a manager who is like a ticking time bomb. He is constantly kicking and hitting things in the store in front of client view. He treats his staff clearly by favoritism of who will cover his screwups not the quality of their work. So basically if you are not a yes person to him he dismisses you. When you can go in on a daily basis at breakfast time and his deli staff can’t evwn remember to put cream chip beef on the toast and sends it out that way it is sad. And when the regular person who does the breakfast sandwiches is off you can’t eat them because they’d are over cooked. And not available. That is a direct reflection of management. And the coffee bar is always a mess. Yet the ones who are working hard get new recognition. The manager is giving leads to people who have no business being on those positions. For that matter he has no business running a WaWa the way he does.

The parking and access to the store at 132 Oxford Valley Rd is completely out of control. Every weekday morning there are up to 15-20 EA HOLDING vans getting gas and illegally parking throughout the facility to the point where you cannot get in or out of the lot. They now have decided that rearranging their cargo in the vans in your parking lot is acceptable. They line up along the curbs and you can even negotiate in the lot. The drivers are rude and don’t care. While I understand they are customers too, they can’t all be there at one time. This goes on from 7-9 am. Speaking with other customers we are to the point where we’ll just have to go elsewhere. Even your vendors cannot get in the lot and complain as well. Something has to be done. It’s to the point where your gas sales to this company are costing you regular customers. It’s also causing traffic issues on Oxford Valley Rd. I guess the local police may have to get involved if they haven’t already.

Wawa came to town. However, I am about done with this Wawa(rt 27 and Hooks rd ) in Clermont Fl. Every time I order a sandwich I get less and less meat. I just brought home a 6″ ham and cheese hoagie. It has 2 pieces of provolone cheese and probably 3 pieces of ham the rest mostly lettuce. There were 2 pieces of pickle per half of sandwich. For the price I can make my own.

I cannot understand where all the compassion has gone in the world. I arrived at this WaWa at 1031 Dunlawton to get a coffee my wife and I. We have been on a mission these past few days to deliver circulars for my grandsons fundraising event. He is in need of a kidney transplant . I decided to take one circular into this store and ask if we can post it. The general manager waited on us as we checked out and we mentioned the circular and my grandson who is in need of a kidney and we are trying to cover future expenses, and having a fundraising event for him.We felt there was no compassion on her part ,there was no words like “I wish him well” or “How is he doing” she just stated she cannot accept the flyer or anything that is not corporate sponsored and for us to “drive safe” Even though she(the general manager) could not support the flyer, she could of at least wish our grandson well! Although the other employees at this location are great, I do not know if I will frequent wawa stores again .I take this as a insult towards my grandson. Have some compassion ,we are talking about a 24 year olds life! We are just looking for help and understanding in this hard time in our life ,we did not ask for donations ,only to post the circular! In the future maybe take some time and treat your customers as family ,not just a number that walks threw the door .Thanks

Today about 2:00 pm I went to the wawa store #688 on Butler Rd. In Fredericksburg Va. I had went in to use the ATM machine and buy some items. I used the ATM which is a P&C bank machine. The transaction worked on the machine except one thing, it didn’t dispense and money, but said transaction complete, at which I received a text message saying it was deducted from my account. At this point I’m highly pissed off. I went to a worker of wawa and this person was like we can’t do nothing about it, and basically had no idea of how to help me,and really seemed like she didn’t want to. I said you need to put an out of order sign on the machine, her reply was oh we can’t do that. So you gonna let someone else use it and screw their money up also. I left the store after saying a few choice words. I went to a P&C bank that was close by and they were just as bad, but at least she said I needed to call my bank and dispute the transaction, ok so in the mean time I’m without money. I called my bank and thank god the agent knew what to do. The machine did do a reverse transaction because it did realize it had not dispensed any money, but I had no way of knowing that. I would suggest you train your employees to know what to do in this situation, because there might be someone who would explode. I understand wawa may not own the ATM and it is a vender( I’m not sure) but it is in your store and your people need to know how to handel the problems with it. After an hour and half wasted time and my unwanted anxiety level to the max, my banks agent and myself resolved my issue without any much needed assistance from your employees. As a loyal customer for years Sheetz is starting to look really good. Thank you for your time.

It’s WAWA not pnc , why would wawa workers know anything bout pnc ? That’s not in their job title
It’s nothing for them to learn just because it’s in their store that’s not their problem so you should feel real low for those ” choice words ” for no reason smh #knowsomethingbeforedoingthemost

Former employee of that particular store here.
I remember that issue with the ATM, we dealt with a lot of unhappy customers that day. Truth is, the partnership between Wawa and PNC that allows their ATMs in-store doesn’t mean Wawa actually has anything to do with the ATMs themselves, PNC has their own staff to come and handle ATM related issues. Wawa is completely hands-off on them to the extent that they AREN’T allowed to put out of order signs up.

Just before 9am this morning, I stopped at wawa for breakfast. I ordered my own breakfast and frapuccino from the kiosk. I then went over to the donut case & grabbed a box to fill with donuts for my coworkers. I selected 6 donuts, considering which would be most likely to be eaten since I didn’t know what my coworkers specifically liked. There is no place to sit the box down, so I crouched down and put the box on my knees to close it. I then grabbed my belongings that I had to put on the floor and proceeded toward the line. An employee who was apparently waiting behind me for the donuts ripped the door open, grabbed a muffin, and then made it into the line ahead of me somehow. I switched to the other line so I could grab a few hash browns for my coworkers as well. I then proceeded around the island to grab my drink and wait for my food to be done. While standing there, the employee who had been behind me when I left the donut case (a tall blonde woman) was loudly ranting to the gentleman preparing the food as she stood there waiting for her own bagel. She was apparently upset about losing time for her break, as I guess she had already clocked out. She practically shouted that she “got stuck waiting for the donut case for 10 minutes” and that her wait in the line was too long as well. I was standing right behind her and honestly felt incredibly embarrassed at this and looked around to see if any of the many people waiting for food recognized me as the person who apparently took too long to get her donuts and was ruining this woman’s break. I was completely insulted because I could not have spent more than 2 minutes selecting my 6 donuts, but the fact of the matter is that I, as the customer, should not be made to stand there and feel guilty about how long I spent looking at donuts. This woman was blatantly complaining about a customer in front of a store packed with customers. The person she was complaining about was literally standing right behind her, so I suppose she actually paid as little attention to melt appearance as she waited as she did To the amount of time she spent waiting. She didn’t notice that she was insulting me and clearly did not care that there were customers all around her. She walked away as my number was called, and I just snatched my bagel and walked out before I had a chance to ask her name. I’m completely furious with this experience as I am a frequent customer of the West Deptford location, store # 480, and I do not deserve to be treated that way by an impatient and inconsiderate employee.
Liz Gimbutas says
I wanted to update my experience. Yesterday I called the West Deptford store and spoke to a manager named Jared. He was very understanding and felt that the situation should not have occurred and that it needed to be dealt with. He told me they would cover my purchase the next time I went to the store for a frappucino. Today, I went in and spoke to the manager he had directed me to speak with. Her name was Melissa, and she not only took care of my frappucino order but my lunch order as well. She was extremely kind and sympathetic to my situation and assured me that the issue had been addressed with the employee and thanked me for letting them know what had occurred. I am completely satisfied and impressed with how they handled the situation and will continue to visit their store.

TWO MINUTES to pick 6 donuts!?!?!? Yet another “in the way person”. I bet it takes you at least 5 minutes to use an ATM or fish through your purse for the exact change at a cash register. People probably celebrate birthdays while they wait for you to pull out of a parking lot or, God forbid, make a left turn.
You walk, no crawl, through life complaining about how rude everyone has become. I can see you there, in your blissfully ignorant bubble of self-centered discourtesy, taking your time to find the 6 most perfect doughnuts. You’re completely unaware of the person behind you waiting and that every moment you spend on your quest is burning precious time off of the short break from the thankless job she has serving people like you.
It’s a good thing you gave a good description of the employee… If you’re lucky, maybe she’ll lose that job that I’m sure she needs more than she wants it. All in a day’s work for you while you selflessly sacrifice your time picking up snacks for your coworkers.
Get over yourself, Mother Theresa, and realize that there are other people in the world and that it doesn’t revolve around you.
But, hey, you got the freebie you were fishing for… Kudos to you!

My husband and I visit WAWA daily. Sometimes even more than once a day, as we have two stores less than 1/4 mile from our home. THis happened at WAWA # 953. Today being July 4th, we wanted to get a light sandwich, the one with egg white on rye topped with spinach and some cheese. The sales clerk told my husband that these were not available after 11 am. I want to know WHY? I thought we would be able to order ANYTHING we wanted, as a custom sandwich too, from the kiosk.
This is one of our favorite sandwiches, can you tell us why this is not available after 11 am, why is there a cutoff time? This is not right and if you are going to stop offering certain foods by a time cutoff, we are going to stop buying our food at WAWA! My husband was there jsut a little bit before 1 pm.
Sincerely,
Catherine and Cornell Pogorzelski

Visited your Westminster, Md location on Leidy Rd. today at 1:00 pm. Bought $20 of gas and then went into the store to get a drink. Went to the only register that was open, I was fifth in line. The line continued to grow, till there was 12 in line. Line wasn’t hardly moving, I had only moved up to fourth. Finally another cashier came over to open, which was 180 degrees around the island. And of course instead of taking next in line customers, the rear of the line take this new register. So the customers waiting the longest, get waited on Last. Except for me, I left what I WAS going to purchase there at the counter and walked out. By the way, I was STILL in fourth spot.
Called the store after leaving, asked for manager, Ken I believe, explained what just happened, his reply, “sorry for your experience “. Well it wasn’t just MY experience, it was also the SAME experience that numbers 2- 12 went thru with the lower numbers having the worst experience! He needed to own up to the Fact that He, the manager allowed this to occur and that his reply should have been something like “Sorry, I messed up ” or along those lines.
The original single line shouldn’t have been allowed to grow that long in the first place, and then it should have been handled so that the Next people in line were helped before the End of the customers!
Very unhappy “experience ” customer,

I have a picture of the receipt to back up my part of the story, doesn’t seem to be a way to attach it to this email.

We worked together when I was development director at northern children’s services. Wawa was such an amazing supporter of that institution. Just wanted to tell you I was at the Grand Opening in West Palm Beach this morning. Thanks for the free coffee. The place was TEAMING with people. SOOOO excited you’re here. Hope it’s wildly successful.

I’ll start by saying I’m about as big of a wawa fan as there is. And I’m pleased that you are collecting for the Delaware State Trooper that was murdered. But I am beyond perplexed and dismayed that you sell a product called Righteous Felon. There is never a reason for a family friendly store to sell such a product. Felons are criminals and far from righteous.
Can you attempt to explain?

I wanted to make you aware of a situation that occurred few weeks ago at my local wawa store.. For 10 years daily I have been going into this store , in fact all of the mangers and workers know me .. a few yrs back i made arrangements with a night shift manager to pickup 5 papers at 11:30 pm, BEFORE he tossed them into the dumpsters out back so i didnt have to climb in to get them.. one night i went to pickup my flyers and noticed they hired a new manager , this man was verbally rude to me and obnoxious and made me feel very uncomfortable even being in there . I left and spoke to the manger above him and explained the situation to him only to find out now i am no longer aloud to come and pickup the papers before they are trashed . I am writing so that you are aware of this sistuation and to also let you know i will no longer be going into this store again (whether it matters or not ) you company has now lost a great daily customer who is now very unpleased with the person they hired .. I believe this manager shouldnt be in the position he is in because of the way he treats the public . thankyou

On Wednesday May 24th 2017, 2 WAWA employees in uniform and three of their friends pounded on my door at 10:30 PM wanting to fight my daughter. I was awoke from sleep as were my 3 grandchildren who live with me. These employees were still in uniform. They were upset because I made a complaint against them about a month ago. These employees are a couple (boyfriend and girlfriend). The store number is 252 in Philadelphia,Pa. After the initial complaint I spoke with Scott, the area manager and was assured the issue would be addressed. Now I have them coming to my home at night and beating on my door. I called the police and have a report. I also called and made another complaint and was told I would be contacted within 24 hours. As of this time (Friday 25 May 2017 9:40 PM) I still have not heard back from anyone at WAWA. My family and I have been going to this store since 2000 when we moved into the neighborhood. We go almost every morning and evening for coffee and snacks for the grand kids. Now we have to watch our backs whenever these employees are working. This is ridiculous!
Have tried to contact someone from the corporate office but no one seems to care or be bothered to address this situation

I just wanted to comment on a recent experience at the Wawa in Philly on Broad St. Me and my family were spending Mother’s Day in Philly and decided to eat there for lunch. At that time we also purchased 4 2-pack pretzels. When my kids are them, they commented that they were hard and dry. They were indeed stale. I was too far to return to the store. I have never had a bad experience at any of your locations until now. Actually, Wawa is my kids favorite place, but having food items that were clearly not monitored as to their freshness is concerning .

New location in Norristown/Plymouth Meeting/Conshohocken Pa at Ridge Pike & Fairfield Road. I am very disappointed with the service and disorganized interior (specifically the signage) in this store. Much improvement is needed in order to provide customer satisfaction. I was in this store 8:10pm and waited over twenty minutes with others served before me for a simple frozen cappuccino. So sorry to say a very poor first impression was made in this brand new store.

On April 28th, 2017 my family and I stopped in a WAWA store located in West Chester, PA. After spending almost $100.00 on gas and food, I walked back into the store to grab some napkins. While leaving the store I was completely appalled, and surprised that your GENERAL MANAGER, a gentleman by the name of JOSHUA TROUT yelled across the parking lot in front of several customers who were pumping gas, in the parking lot eating, or walking into the store, “HEY MY MAN, AM I GOING TO HAVE TO CALL THE COPS ON YOU?” Needless to say this was very embarrassing for myself, for my family, and people who witnessed the incident felt embarrassed for me. I removed nothing from your store that I didn’t pay for. After looking around to see who he was even talking to, I turned to him to show all I took were some napkins…his response was, “YOU’RE OKAY.” It was not until I went back into the store and found JOSHUA that I got (what was supposed to be) an explanation/apology. I was told someone told him that I left with something. Even if that was the case, to run out of the store and yell across a crowded parking lot was not the way to handle the situation. My family and I were sitting there eating, he could have come to the car and asked me what took place, or if anything took place for that matter. What your GENERAL MANAGER did was extremely embarrassing for me, and my wife. Not to mention my children who got to witness their very hard working father accused of stealing. This matter is of special concern to me because I’m a Dir. of Security for a high profile art services company in the Philadelphia, Delaware, and NYC area. I’m responsible for billions of dollars of artwork, and antiques on a daily basis. I’m also a Security consultant. I’m a fan of your establishments but not enough to steal anything. I think JOSHUA could use some training on how to better handle situations like this. I could show him how to properly view video recordings and any other tools you guys have on hand to properly approach and/or catch someone stealing. In the meantime, after being a loyal customer for several years. Myself and my family will not spend another penny in your establishments. I hope this letter ends up in the right hands. I will continue to send this letter to your corporation until I am sure of this. Thank you.

My question to Wawa is, why are there men protesting in front of their store being built at Cedar Crest Blvd & Hamilton Bypass? I pass this store everyday on my way to taking my grandson to school. He asks me why are those men with the sign saying ” Shame on Wawa “. My question is why are they there? We visit Wawa’s often with my grandchildren. I don’t know if he’s upset with this, but I’d like to answer truthfully. So is there a local labor issue? Sorry for the question.

Was at the wawa on Thanksgiving gay 2016. Route 73, Berlin NJ. As I arrived a woman was dousing herself with gasoline from the pump, as I approached her she took out a cigarette lighter and tried to set herself on fire. I managed to wrestle the lighter out of her hand before she could set herself on fire. I handed the manager Maggie the lighter and dealt with the situation until the police and firemen arrived. After giving a police report Maggie took my name and number and was told that she would contact me. A couple weeks had passed and I saw the manager on duty Cory and she mentioned that Wawa had given a Thank You basket and a car detailing to the person who saved a woman’s life on Thanksgiving day. I told her that I was that individual and that no one had help me during that situation? I then asked her if she spoke with Maggie, looked at the video surveillance or saw the police report? She replied that she had, but had no reason for rewarding that individual. She then appologized, asked for my name and nunber and told me a Thank You basket would be sent to me from Wawa. Weeks passed and I saw the managers Maggie and Cory again. They once again, appologized and asked for my name and number and assured me the Wawa Thank you basket will arrive and they will call. Needless to say weeks passed and I eventually saw the manager Cory. She appologized again and once again asked for my name and number? She now seemed to be trying to explain herself off in a agitated way. Once again I gave her my information. Funny thing is, now when I walk in this Wawa the managers Cory or Maggie (whoever is on duty) quickly go to the managers office aND remail there unail after I leave. Wawa and these two managers should be ashamed of themselves. The sad part is they promise their customers stuff on behalf of Wawa and just don’t live up to it and then decide to sneak away like it just didn’t happen. My company and I have patronized this Wawa for years. Experiencing these management actions daily at this Wawa is a joke. I just can’t patronize this Wawa anymore. Upper management at Wawa should be aware of what’s going on and to whom their Thank You baskets are being given to.

I recently had my ex husband pass away and there was an issue with someone driving around with his license plates which is consider ficicious tags. This person started coming in my Wawa with comments about truck regardless of the fact I asked over and over to turn tags in. He’s now claiming her say that I said something a out him to his Co worker. My punishment was he decided to put physical violent threats to me and my family bc I went to the authorities with it . My boss backed me up but not his boss. Instead she’s making me wait on him when I asked to buzz someone for my safety. She relayed to my boss I will treat him like any other customer. I am on the verge of a breakdown but I’m a single mom who son just lost his father. I’m scared for my life bc of threats being made and I never once been asked my side of story from my district manager. So I guess it’s time to talk to a lawyer and see what rights I have been stricten of all bc I tried to take care of my sons dead father’s affairs in the proper way. Hello Wawa, Today I visited your store at 816 Old York Rd, Jenkintown, PA 19046 at approximately 2:45 pm. The store was jammed packed to say the least, there were 2 registers open and both lines were heading out the door. The manager goes to a 3rd register and announces that she’s now open for the next customer in line. I quickly leave the line I was in and walk over to her register, 4 to 5 people who weren’t in line jump in line at her register. So now I’m in a line longer than the line I was initally in. I said to her that I didn’t appreciate her excepting to wait on customers who weren’t in line and her not speaking up for me when she saw me leaving the line to come over to her register. She replied, I have no control over what customers do. I said to her that you have to use your authority and tell the line jumpers that this person was in line ahead of you so I have to wait on him 1st. She replied that she couldn’t do that and she was sorry. I thought I was on another planet! I tried explaining to her that her announcement was very clear and simple! I’ll take the next person in line over here! After saying and explaining AGAIN that you said I’ll take the next person in line. She still stood firm that she can’t control what customers do in the store. I thought I was talking to a wall and started getting annoyed by her lack of comprehension. So I then asked to speak to the manager. Come to find out, she was the manager. I couldn’t believe the manager of the store had such low comprehension skills and LACK OF LEADERSHIP! I can’t promise you that next time I’ll take line jumping so humbly. I hope that in Wawa’s near future that you have peolpe with leadership, communication and customer service skills and NOT 5TH GRADE LEVEL MANAGERS!

I keep having horrible experiences at the 1300 E. Erie Ave in Philly. This is the 4th time in 2 weeks my order was wrong and we (as a company) order our lunch there everyday. I havent said anything cause I dont want to be a complaining customer but today after returning from the store TWICE with the incorrect order, I called the manager at the store. He didnt want to tell me his name, very unprofessional and clearly had no management skills. He was rude and I will never go back there again.

I stopped by this morning around 9:30am and ordered the ‘Turkey sausage, egg white and cheese” bagel. This was the worst experience I’ve had in the 15 years or so that I’ve used WAWA in both PA and FL. The bagel being stale doesn’t describe the ruined breakfast sandwich. I will no longer be buying these breakfast sandwiches anymore because this was not a product that I need to eat in the morning. I have food at home and will take my time and enjoy it.

To Whom It May Concern:
Hello, I am a frequent Wawa customer, I travel up and down I-95 from New York City to North Carolina very often, at least 2-3 times a month. As always, I stop by a wawa or two on the way. I usually have great experiences when visiting these stores. Last night, on my way back from NY, I stopped at a Wawa in Virginia, this particular Wawa experience was very different from any that I have ever had. The cashier walked away from as I approached the register and then as my friend walked beside me and bought our order ticket, the cashier then turned around and said “oh, y’all ready to ckeckout?” We politely said yes, I gave my friend a look of confusion because as she began to ring my order up she was throwing my items into a bag as if she could care less, my friend then walked away to wait on our food order. She finished the transaction and asked me would I like my receipt, I replied, yes, thank you i would. She rolled her eyes at me and as I held my hand out to get the receipt she threw it in the bag and slid the bag across the counter. I then walked over to the sandwich section with my friend as he was waiting for our food order and I spoke with the manager on duty about the cashiers attitude and the service I had just received. The manager stated he would speak with her and proceeded to work, two of the other employees walked to me and advised me that she is like this with every other customer unless it’s a male that’s smiling in her face, they stated that she has a rude demeanor towards them as well one male one female. I stated to them that its unacceptable and she should probably consider another line of business if customer service isn’t her forte.

I went to wawa in glen burnie MD on Ritchie hwy today to buy a pack of cigarettes. I was in line behind 1 man and 1 lady both if them purchased cigarettes the cashier Elaine didn’t ask either 1 of them for id but once I got to the register the first thing she ask for is my id when I asked why she didn’t ask the prior customers for their ID she got an attitude and says I’m not doing this with you. I asked her again then she says will you like to talk to my manager? I said well I was talking to you she yells WELL IM NOT THE MANAGER! As she gets on her walkie talkie and calls for the manager Donna. She eventually comes out the office to speak with me and she says wawa policy is if you LOOK under 30 how you SOUND or WHAT Your wearing it at our cashiers aggression to card. Now I’m 30 years old I was wearing a NY fitted hat and a T-shirt so that’s the reason why I was asked for ID and not the other customers before me. I don’t know about anyone else but that sounds like discrimination to me. Your giving your employees the right to discriminate and profile your own customers. If your buying tobacco products now matter how you look or dressed you should be required to show proof of age.

As I was in the Roslyn PA Wawa tonight, the cashier was very disrespectful and lied to me about a policy. My fiancé and I were checking out, and he asked for a pack of dutches. He got asked for ID, which he took out immediately, then the clerk, Jimmy, asked for my id when I was not the one purchasing the product and told me it was a policy. We came in together, and he asked for them not myself. I didn’t bring my wallet.. Note- I live 2 blocks away and we were only going to get some food so there was no reason for me to bring cash or anything.
I’ve experienced past negative check outs with him, purposely spilling milkshakes which got on my pants, and as soon as I walk in the store I get dirty looks and stared down until I leave!!! The disrespect and inconvinence I received from Jimmy was unacceptable. I’m sure I’m not the only one he’s doing it to.

I worked for wawa in NJ and loved loved loved my job, so when wawa opened in Florida I waited 10 years for it to come to my town and I got hired .i worked 8 months everything was going well they gave me 2 raises and 1 day I was fired on the spot no warnings no writes just fired. ( because I did a customer survey ). Really Florida policy sucks and you need to get out of Florida because I’ve been reading these comments and Florida is gonna run wawa done. I’ve not visited wawa since and I truly loved the company

I go to the Wawa on Bensalem Blvd. in Bensalem PA for the last 5 yrs. And it has gotten worse instead of better. The milk case is absolutely disgusting I don’t think the case has been cleaned since they remodeled 2 yrs. Ago, the smell of sour milk turns your stomach when you open the door. The hot chocolate machine is always filthy when you mention it to the employees they just shrug their shoulders or look at you like your crazy. When you go in there after 8 in the evening you better like loud music, some nights it; so loud the person on the register can’t hear what your asking for, I for one won’t go back to this store I’ll go out of my way to another one. 5 yrs of this is more than enough.

There’s a manager at the wawas in Frederick,md named Ivan. He works at the store located on ballenger creek pike. I constantly see him touching a female employee every time i walk into the store. They have been doing this for quite some time now. It is unprofessional for that kind of sexual behavior to be happening in such a wonderful work place. I don’t like walking into wawas and seeing sexual behavior. Ivan is also a very rude manager to me and a lot of my friends I’ve seen him yell at all the other employees except for the girl he continuously is rubbing up on he needs to be fired his unprofessionalism is going to make me and MANY of my friends and family stop using wawas as our store

The WAWA in Shamong, NJ is a staple for my daily routine. However, I am reconsidering due to the condition and personnel over the past year . Today, I again visited and found that the automatic specialty coffee machine is malfunctioning again, there is broken glass on the ledge of the outside front window with butts in them, the cans are full, the entry way is looking like a, well badly. As a business owner I find that the employees are very young and seem not to put the effort in..its just a job anyway attitude….That is not WAWA’s fault it’s the generation but WAWA needs to find a manager who can impress upon the employees that there is respect in doing a job correctly and with a smile. I enjoy the business but do not need the business and will find another source if this is not corrected. FYI, I have been wanting to send such an email for a long time but today was the proverbial straw. Thank you for your time in reading this and hopefully to take a close look at this store location.

Hi Wawa; My name is Jose G Echevarria of Tampa, Florida and I would like to know what kind of rocket science must I possess in order for myself to get hired as a customer associate for one of your stores here in Tampa, Florida. I have over 30 years of customer service experience, which includes cashier, stocking shelves, cooking food, prepping food, cleaning, interacting with customers, and troubleshooting issues with customers among other experiences. I’ve applied to various Wawa stores I get a first interview and I never hear from any hiring managers after the initial interview let alone a job offer. This is so baffling to me and my family as I have begun to believe that I’m being discriminated by your managers and General managers here in the Tampa area. All I’m asking is for an opportunity because I have the asset to being a great employee to the Wawa family.

At age 11 I walked in to my first waves in Palmyra NJ. Loved Wawa ever since- even took one out by McGuire AFB as a second job in 2000-2002. Behind the scene as many other businesses- horrible PERIOD. So….I quit with class. Still remained a very loyal Wawa customer until this past week namely tonight. Not only will I no longer EVER utilize a Wawa neither will 12 of my family and friends from NJ -VA. That may not hurt Wawa’s bank account but those business dollars will surely advance a different business in their profit income. It is obvious that ther has been a MAJOR change somewhere in the corporate chain which I will begin to research tomorrow. Tonight was my last experience in your stores. Sometimes QUALITY MUST superseed QUANTITY. You need undercover boss REAL bad in your south jersey stores. They have become pathetic. Wake up CEO.

when wawa put it’s new policy of anyone hurt on job, must have drug test within so many hours, my son was an employee there. He got cut and the manager insisted he go to hospital, although he did not want to. He was drug tested and marijuana was found in his system, prior to test he informed his managers that he had smoked pot and this would happen, after the positive marijuana result came in nothing was done for 3 months, then 1 day he goes to work and is told “you can’t work here anymore, and we don’t know why” a few months went by and he reapplied and was hired at another wawa store, upon that store wanting to promote him to shift-runner he was then told again he could not work at this wawa, and they stated he lied on his application because he did not tell Wawa, that Wawa fired him for positive marijuana, when we called corporate office, we were told that my son “has a wrongful termination case, and he was eligible to file a law suit”. He did not persue that because he doesn’t was to sue anyone, he just wants to work. First of all no drug test is required to get hired, second of all although there was marijuana in his system, there is no way he could have been impaired when he cut his hand on a knife 7 hours and 15 minutes after his shift started, even if he came to work stoned. We were told he was the 1st in the region for this to happen to, and we understand policies are put in place for reasons as well, but at what point can we reapply to your company, and if hired, (which DID happen), guarantee there will not be any termination due to something that happened close to 4 years ago?

I have been to varies Wawa Stores Egg Harbor City NJ, Galloway NJ, Egg Harbor Twp. NJ, Buena NJ, and Lakeland Fl. I have encountered the same problem to different degrees either the lids don’t fit correctly, and I wear your coffee; or the cup is paper thin and collapses in on itself same result I wear the coffee. Since, I’ve had the unpleasant experience of being burnt or wearing your coffee I’m very diligent when securing, choosing, and notifying your stores of incidents. I don’t believe your company would intentionally want to burn or ruin your patrons clothing so, I’m going to take the high road and say you have a quality issue with your cup/lid provider.
I have submitted complaints before and one Galloway NJ Wawa store was kind enough to give me a $25.00 gift card the Egg Harbor City NJ Wawa gave me a free coffee. The feeling I’m getting is that your company isn’t listening and nothing is being rectified as I still wear or get burnt! PLEASE GET A BETTER QUALITY CUP/LIDS!!!!

Good morning. I visited my local Wawa, Store #125, geared up to get what I consider a healthy breakfast of soup. I ordered a small Chicken Noodle soup. I get to work a few minutes from the Corporate Headquarters (Wawa, PA) which I pass everyday. Surprise, I have a container of what appears to be liquid cheese. So much for breakfast. I wasted $2.69 and have to find an alternative for breakfast. There appears to be a problem with this store now that another local Wawa was closed. They have triple the amount of customers to serve now. This isn’t the first time I have had a problem with getting soup from this store. The managers aren’t keeping up with programming the kiosks efficiently either. Can anybody at Corporate look into the performance of this Wawa? This will be my 4th time encountering problems with ordering soup. Now I have to take back this cheese goop. What a waste of time and money. Why go to a Wawa? I have ordered and paid for products just to find out that they were programmed but the product wasn’t on hand. This isn’t the only Wawa, but Store #125 is presenting the most problems.

I have been going to this Wawa, since I was a kid. which is in Philadelphia on Bustleton Avenue. The cashier didn’t ring up my pay slip, and I should have notice but I didn’t. Anyway after I paid for my food I went back to the deli to pick up my sand witch and while reaching for my order I accidentally knocked over the basket with two slips inside. I picked up the basket afterwards and the worker asked me “What my problem was?” I apologized for knocking over the basket, and she accused me of slamming things around and being rude. I said I was sorry again, and was ignored. I am naturally a clumsy person. I was pissed and went to complain, and found out that the worker is actually the general manager. I told the cashier that i have been coming there longer than that “so called manager” worked there, and won’t be returning. I will be going to the one on Tyson from now on if I decide to go to Wawa at all anymore

On 6/30/16, I went to get coffee at:
Store #5179
919 West SR 436
Altamonte Springs, FL32714-2931
(407) 389-4281
There was a gentleman before me filling up two extra large thermos with coffee.
I waited my turn patiently and observed him leaving the store without paying.
In addition, when I went to pump my cup with coffee, the coffee dispenser was empty.
I ended up getting a cup of hot chocolate.
When I checked out, I asked for the manager and questioned why this customer was not stopped and asked to pay? Mr. Nick stated that Wawa’s corporate policy is for their employees not to play the role of security and put their lives in danger. I stated to Mr. Nick taking this “I do not care” attitude would encourage more patrons to steal and not pay! I was very discouraged by this store manager’s response in front of my thirteen year old daughter, who had witnessed the patron stealing coffee. I had to explain to her that stealing is wrong and eventually if this store continues to allow this behavior, prices will go up for the paying customers. I told my daughter I would report this incident because it was wrong for both the patron to steal and the manager not to care about theft in his store. Please follow up with this manager and ask him to be vigilant and not allow this type of behavior to be unnoticed.
Thank you.

Is the Patriot was so concerned in front of his daughter you could have took his cell phone call the police would you want the manager to endanger his self or his family just as you did nothing as a customer and still there while people are stealing items and coffee as a tractor-trailer driver I see it everywhere even the truck stops truck drivers get their coffee in the morning walk out the door with that I don’t care attitude even everyday people driving their cars come get gas still coffee hot dogs the sad part about it is the honest people in the world pay for it is Corporate America is not going to lose so they hiked the prices of a few pennies on every item and we paid for was stolen

Today I visited store 00257 which is located on 215 W Lancaster Ave Wayne Pa 19087, it was by far the worst and emotional experiences I have ever had at any wawa. Well I came into the store today to purchase lunch on my break, I had decided to get a sandwich but stood at the counter for a brief moment to decide what kind. I finally decided what I had wanted, I completed my order but noticed it was on shortie left in the case when one of the women behind the counter reached into the oven to put more hot, fresh rolls out. Before I proceeded to go pay for my shortie I asked the woman if it was possible to get a roll that just came out. In front of everyone behind the counter, and near the deli she looked at me and asked if I was paying for my food with an EBT card. I was so taken back I said stood there and stared at her then walked away. Walking around the store I felt myself getting angrier and angrier, I got in line and the next person I was approached by was Martina who I asked was it their job to ask customers how they are paying for their food. She said no and asked why and I told her that the woman at the deli asked me was I paying for my food with ebt because I asked for a hot roll that just came out and I repeated I did not ask for toasted I asked for I hot roll that just came out the oven. Her eyes lite up and she said no omg who said that she turned and looked over at the deli and I said the lady because they both had on hats and I did not feel comfortable saying the white one. She told me that I should report it and that I could speak to her manager if I wanted to and I said yes, she walked off and indeed she came back with her manager. It was the woman who had insulted me and she had the nerve to ask me why was I upset. I asked her did she ask the rest of the people in line where they paying with ebt and she said no. I asked her then why would she ask me that she said because I asked for a warm roll and I yelled at her that what you guys are known for your warm fresh rolls how dare she assume that I had an ebt card. She tried to talk back to me and I told her I’m reporting her to corporate and she shrugged her shoulders and said ok. When I asked her for her last name she told me she wasn’t giving me anything, and I said I’m sure shes the only Eileen who was the fresh food manager at their store and she ok with a smerk on her face. I paid for my food walked back to the deli and asked the two young ladies who happened to be black do they ask their customers how they are paying for their food and they both said no so I asked are the fresh warm rolls for sertain customers and they said no after that I walked away angry pissed and never wanting to eat at wawa’s again. I will make sure I let everyone know about the horrible experience even if it does not make a difference I will still be heard!!!!

I am a very very frequent visitor of Wawa locations for some reason everytime I go to this store for breakfast they never have anything for breakfast on hand they are always late to have breakfast out sometimes as late as 6 o’clock or have nothing on hand durring the breakfast rush. Or even when its slow.u dont wait to run out before you even start to prepare more(common sence) for this to happen once twice even three times might be excused but for it to happen on a regular and consistent basis is ridiculous. you either need to have more people working or you need to replace the incompetent people you have with better trained employees I spend way too much money and haveWasted far too much time to be treated this way .I don’t understand why its so hard to keep something on handthat is can be so quick to prepare .the worst part is any time I’ve asked questcoupons out the status iv received nothing but attitude and snide looks and or comments.if I did my job in this fashion I would be fired. This message is to the WaWa headquarters.
I was in the store the other day and observed a woman throwing out eight or ten breakfast sandwiches because they were past the time allowed out. When I questioned her, she said that’s the rule even though she didn’t agree with it. How can Wawa say their goal is to help feed the hungry. With all of the stores, I can’t imagine all of the wasted food that could feed many hungry people. One would think Wawa could come up with something to help the hungry rather than waste all of that food everyday by throwing it in the garbage.
It left a really bad taste in my mouth and I’ll have to look elsewhere for my morning coffee. I look forward to hearing from someone on how this could be changed.
John Collins says
America has no need to have starving people on its own shores – some of us have known that for years but few are willing to do anything about it other than complain.
That not new for many food retailers – 7-Eleven throws away perfectly good food that has gone past a certain time during the day – CICI’s Pizza throws away perfectly good food just before closing , KFC throws away tons of good chicken that could be going to a homeless shelter but when I asked the managers about this from time to time, they all said about the same thing.
Health regulations prevent them from giving it away because someone could get sick and sue them. Of course, I say what if someone bought it and got sick wouldn’t your liability still be the same? 2) Excuse two was that they have no way to store it so they say its cheaper for them to throw it away.
But they WILL NOT give to you to take to a shelter – I’ve tried but maybe you can work with your local shelter managers and fast food chain managers to work out some sort of deal on the side. They all know it is waste but they are not willing to lose their jobs over it.
The question is would you, Dawn, be willing to show up about closing time to take the extra food that was being thrown away and drive it over to a shelter?

I went to wawa on May 9 2016 in Yarldey PA , I had ordered a turkey sandwich. When I recived my hoggie I was not happy with it. It had one piece of cheese and one piece of turkey on it. I took it back and asked for something better because I did not want to eat just bread, the manager of the place was very rude and not helpful. Instead of making me an entirely new sandwich they just added turkey too it and the sandwich appreal made it look gross. I enjoy getting food from wawa but this time I was not very pleased with either the quality and the workers. This is not how a business should be run, if a customer has an issue with the food instead of fixing the original product, the worker should make a whole new product for the customer.

But this manager is very RUDE to his employees I never seen a manager walk around and constantly complains about everything he sees. I was checking out and he is yelling about trash! he should have had just did it himself! The way he treats the hard working employees he has is very unacceptable, how he became a manager is unbelievable. I NEVER seen a manager like this for him to do all that complaining and yelling in front of the customers is very unprofessional. Something I really did not need first thing in the morning. I went into wawa yesterday and purchased a sausage gravy breakfast bowl. When I got to work I started to eat it to then find that there was a bluish/green tint to it which looked like mold on the biscuit. I have filed my complaint on the wawa website, but the response I received was that they are sorry for my purchase of a protein pack and that the grapes were up to my standards. Because I said nothing about grapes leads me to believe that they are not taking customers issues seriously nor are they reading the information that is in front of them. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with wawa at this point. This is a food establishment that is selling food without looking at it first. I could have gotten sick from eating mold and to me it doesn’t seem like they are taking my complaint seriously. I have email them back 3 times and I have yet to receive a response.

To whom it may concern,
It is rare for me to buy breakfast products at Wawa. With a change in my work schedule this week I decided to pick up a breakfast bowl while having my vehicle serviced with fuel. I ordered a breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, beef cheese steak, bacon, sautéed onions and roasted red peppers with a side of buttered rye toast.
When I opened my meal at work I found that the rye toast wasn’t toasted. It was just buttered bread. They also failed to put the sautéed onions and roasted red peppers on my breakfast bowl. I was disappointed but reasoned that the person making my breakfast was having a bad day. So be it.
This morning I decided to use a gift card from Wawa that’s been sitting on my desk for three years and purchase a breakfast bowl and a sandwich for lunch. Low and behold when I opened my breakfast bowl it didn’t have the sautéed onions and roasted red peppers and the buttered rye toast was not toast but buttered bread again.
This was two major screw ups in the matter of three days. I’m afraid to check the hoagie that I also purchased for my lunch in fear that that order was also screwed up.
I’m a simple guy that lives a simple life. I don’t have disposable income to eat my meals out on a regular basis. If I didn’t have a $10 gift card I wouldn’t have stopped today to buy my breakfast and lunch at Wawa.
Due to my resent experience with Wawa I vowed to never step foot in a Wawa store for the rest of my life. You lost a customer for life.
The store that I attended is on the airport circle in Egg Harbor Twp New Jersey.

I stop in several wawa’s through out the Delaware PA and Nj area and the one in Elsmere De is the worst one I have been to and it just so happens I live close to this one and frequent daily. The customer service is childish. The employees would prefer to talk to each other in some cases than take care of customers. They allow the parents of the Catholic school to park in there lot during pickup time so there is no parking for customers. On many occasions the line for the register wrapes around the register in to the isles before they call for assistance. On to many occasions I have gone there to get a sandwich or soup and am told we don’t have that ready or am not able to make it at this time yet its on the menu. If there was still a 7-11 around I would go there but in the mean I will be checking out the new Royal Farms in our area.

Just left the WaWa on 202 in Readington Twp., NJ. As a regular WaWa patron, i frequent this store often am used to the ebb and flow. The staff is always courteous and even traffic is heavy in the store, lines move. Today was the exception. In addition to someone must have put out a call for all coffee and sandwich drinkers in the area, a travel convoy of two vans stopped in. And only one cashier, Rome, was on the register. Oh, and the delivery truck was outside unloading products. Scene for chaos. The line for the register was around the store and nearly out the door on the other side. When I walked in and saw, I shook my head. But even as people huffed and shifted in impatience, all stayed. Because this young man, Rome, worked that line with no complaint. He rang, made coffee and moved that line with such a smile and speed, I had to commend him face to face and make note here. He had every reason to be short, and harried. Even as more people came in, and saw the line, people already in line said, ‘oh it’s moving, he’s good’. So he even preserved revenue. He smiled to all, was gracious and kind, which was more impressive under the cirXXXXstances. And while some may say that is his job, its worth noting to be caught doing something right and well. Thank you Rome!

I frequent Wawa’s EVERY DAY…..sometimes 2 or 3 times a day…and for the most part I am satisfied with every one I go to. However I am so disgusted with one location I had to vent. The Wawa on New Falls Rd and Wister Rd in Levittown, PA should be ashamed. This store recently opened and should be one of the cleanest in town. The women’s bathroom is ALWAYS disgusting. Overall it’s the women that use it that make it that way and they should be ashamed of themselves for not having more class then to throw stuff on the floor or wipe the seat or flush the toilet when they are done but also if it was being cleaned and checked every couple of hours it would not look this way either. It’s not fair to the women who have respect to clean up after themselves to have to use a bathroom that clearly management has given up on because some women are slobs. Also the handicapped parking on the one side near the pumps is farthest away from the door? This makes no sense whatsoever???? And don’t even get me started on the layout of the store. When you are waiting for a sandwich there are so many people hovering in that area it is hard to get to the cash registers. Whoever designed the layout of this store failed. Other Wawa’s have enough room away from the registers to get around. Not this one. It’s a total cluster…….few improvements here and all could be well. EMILY is the reason I keep going to this one. Hands down the nicest cashier you could come across. Always pleasant and friendly.

I was at the Popes Mass yesterday 9/27/2015. I wish to thank your Corporation for supplying the thousands of cases of bottled water for the people who came to Philadelphia. .My aunt was a Poor Clare Nun for over 74 years and died at 94 nine years ago.
I am sure that she is praying especially for the Employees of Wawa.
I only wish that other companies had supplied assistance for this once in a lifetime event.
If there were others may God bless them also, however I walked several blocks in center city Philadelphia. I did not see any other help from other corporations.
I am retired and worked for a major Bank in Quality Control for the past 5 years.
Your company in my estimation deserves a round of applause for everything you do in stores on your day to day operations.
I worked opened and ran a competing convenience store for 5 years. At Ridge & Walnut Lane in Roxborough. in Philadelphia. I know we cannot make everybody happy with service.
I only wish that there were more positive comments, as to your employees going the extra mile for customers, which I am sure happens every hour of every day you are in operation. And with the community as evidenced by by supplying water for everyone who needed at the Popes Visit to Philadelphia 9/27/2015. And i will make sure the Pope knows about it, if he does not already know.. .

I went to the wawa store #809 located at Carpenter Rd. Wilmington Delaware on 8/19/2015 to purchase a half gallon of iced tea. I handed the cashier[Jose] a 20$ bill and he handed me back 16.20 when i should’ve got back 17.91, I believe this was intentional as i saw him put in 18.29 on the display in front of me, that’s the last time I’ll be in that store again.

Today I went into store number 532- to purchase a pack of cigarettes and soda. I purchased the soda and rang the cigarettes up separately. Dan the cashier at the time took my coupon and rather then doing the math to correctly ring up my product he chose to do it the easy and lazy way and just subtracted 5$ off the total. Well the coupon was for a pack of cigarettes for 2$ plus tax. Because originally including tax they come out to 7.42. Well this time in particular the total should be 2$ plus taxafter receiving the discounted rate from the coupon which should come out to 2.12$ I explained this to him but because he rang them up the ” lazy way” he just decided to subtract 5$ from the total. When I tried to explain to him that he over charged me he told me I was wrong without even listening to my explanation. Then told me sales tax was more then six percent I asked him how much it was then and he said he didn’t even know. Well if your sure it’s not 6% you should know what the proper sales tax should be then….. So long story short I was charged the sales tax on seven dollars when the total was 2 $ plus tax. But he didn’t want to be bothered with my explanation or the time to show him the proper math. And considering I brought only the exact change necessary I didn’t have enough money for his mistake which was very very embarrassing. The nice lady behind me in line gave me the change thankfully because I wouldn’t have got them otherwise and considering it was his mistake not mine I’m very unhappy with the turn out of the whole situation. I was under the impression the customer was/is always right anyway. Well I was made to look like a fool and almost didn’t get what I came all the way for. I’m a frequent shopper at that store and have never been pleased with Dan’s attitude and don’t like him personally but now I have more reason not to. His customer service skills are sub par at best. I’ve lived by this wawa 25 years and even worked there myself for almost 4 years. I’ve been told I wad client of the year before due to how often I’m in there. So to be made to look like a fool was very embarrassing like I said considering everyone in the area knows who I am. I didn’t want to make a scene but this type of thing seems to always happen with this customer service associate in particular. I believe he is even running shift at times and if they’d how he leads what are the employees underneath him to think? Very very unhappy with my wawa today. Never had this type of problem before and even though it’s a matter of a few cents I believe the principal of the situation id’s what’s important in my story today. I hope someone I’m corporate reads this and the proper disciplinary actions are taken because I’m not going to be made to look like a fool in my home town there is two other convenience stores very close by and I won’t hesitate to take my business elsewhere.

As a Wawa Shift Manager in VA, I encourage you to please speak to the General Manager regarding this particular employee, especially as this seems to be an ongoing customer service issue. Our number one concern is that our customers are always satisfied to the best of our ability and happy when they leave our stores.
Annoni says
Even with a coupon, you have to pay the sales tax of the entire purchase. Sales tax is not exempt just because you have a coupon. If you buy $10 worth of items, and have a $5 off coupon, you still have to pay the tax on the entire $10 worth of items. This is normal everywhere, in every state, at every store.

Wawa usually has great customer service but recently I feel like the quality of the service had just plummeted. I recently had a similar problem and it is very annoying. Don’t work somewhere your not prepared to at least look like your enjoying yourself and yes people are going to ask questions about the food they are purchasing, that’s their right!! If you cannot do your ONE job maybe you should consider working somewhere not in customer service. I used to work at wawa and I’m a frequent customer. So it’s great to see the company growing but if you have to sacrifice the quality the quantity of new customers is going to go way down and then what was the point in growing the business. They need to remember that they are not the only convenience store/ sub shop around!!!

I would just like to know if WAWA uses tap water for thier coffee and other drinks. If so then WAWA is willfully and knowingly poisoning its customers with floride that is added to our drinking water.we as americans have a RIGHT to know any and all ingrediants in our food and beverages and this includes the ingrediants that are contained in the ingrediants added to the ingrediants used to make whatever it is we are being served for consumption. Posioning is a MAJOR lawsuit and human beings DO NOT deserved to be posioned just so a corperation can make money.

I stopped my card, contacted bank and Loos prevention at WAWA, ref # 5073576. I want my money back my credit union is Suncoast Credit Union, 800-999-5887. I filed a claim for the return of the money. After years of coming to this wawa it’s bad when they can’t get it right before the six flags season opens but awful when great adventure opens. The coffee bar was overstocked and tons of damage goods which is a loss prevention issue it’s like stealing no reason for that much damage. The coffee bar was sticky with old coffee and old milk spills, wrappers and even by the soda bar there were lids on floor which is a safety hazzard . If someone steps on that goes sliding and falls you have lawsuit. There should be security here during great adventure season the people act crazy disrespectful and cursing and violence with children around. It’s inexcusable behavior that is tolerated. When will they hire someone to just take care of soda slurp cold coffee bar, coffee bar, milkshake bar and coffee station. Start workers as Drinks runner only, separate worker for sandwich and cold foods bar yogurts salads pickles pudding fruit cheese meat bar,the sizzler station only, then upgrade them to deli. As well two cashiers at all times if not but fill and front the store. This is the only way I feel the store will run smooth and effectively . Out season it’s busy due to three major rds 195,537,571 that brings in truckers and customers constantly. This store needs constant supervision by district or mystery shopper. Due to the nasty coffee bar both myself and child is sticky up forearm and elbow and on hand. We had to wash up after being rung up just to expose our drink to the many germs of the disgusting bathroom. Again adults and kids act animalistic in there.

The Wawa in East Windsor, NJ is one I go to literally every day! Today I went and saw a sign twice that said f’real milkshakes $1.99 (5/4-5/31). The cashier gave his friend from high school that price, but I had to pay $2.79. I went home to call the manager Jen and she yelled at me for interrupting her busy work and also told me they were $2.79, but yet the sign said $1.99. I’m very upset

My daughter was still waiting I had finished putting gas in my car, I came back inside the store asking the lady “what was taking so long” when she replied with “here take your order, cranky” I don’t appreciate the attitude she gave me, and your staff seems to be used to saying bad words infront other customers and not just me.Tell your wawa staff of Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway Winter Garden, Florida to have some more respect with customers. I also will not be going to this wawa anymore. I was tired and stressed from finishing work at Walt Disneyworld Resort, working in the company for over 20 years, and I do not treat my guest like that, so I’m pretty sure if you came out of work and walked into a different gas station with employees like that, you would do something about it too. Store #955 in Howell, NJ fired one of their most loyal and dedicated employees this past week because of a customer who claimed “sexual harassment” because he was cleaning the mirrors with a cute and innocent toy. That single customer of yours obviously doesn’t know what sexual harassment is and neither does your management team. That offends me. Where’s the loyalty to your team? Your store has lost a lot of business from the community in Howell because of their support for this very well respected man. The least WAWA corporate can do is issue an apology to Mr. Michael Cuzzo, because at this point, he should not return to an establishment that did him dirty like you did. In order to gain the respect and continue business within the Howell NJ Community, a public apology, at the least, is in order. Otherwise, your business will continue to decrease in sales numbers and the new Quikcheck will be opening up very soon. We have a new BJ’s in the area with the cheapest gas and we have LukOil and 7-11. All sell gas, cigarettes and food. Management and Corporate better act quickly or deal with the consequences of monetary loss from the community that stands behind your ex-employee. Your response to the media a few days ago was weak and pitiful.

I have applied to Wawa on several occasions and have been turned down for several reasons.. I have been recently told they are going another way. Well four days after that comment I go in to the store at 8pm on a Saturday (known as one of the busiest days of the week). I found only three employees, who are normally a joy, but were very angry that they were left like that. Now if that was my company, I would fire the person who gave me the forty-nine year old who want to work, a strong look at. Personally at this point I feel it is my age why I am not being hired. I emailed corporate and have not heard back as of yet, but I’m sure my attorney contacts them it will be a different story. I am tired of kids telling me I cannot work, (especially when all they do is sit around) I have made many friends at store 218 and they all seem to agree with me.. After reading all of these testimonials its a wonder I keep going back to Wawa. So for all my fellow Wawa patrons, good luck in your quest, hopefully one day I will be waiting on you with professionalism, from days long gone… Guarantee you will be greeted the way you expect, receive a receipt , I hope to hear from Wawa…

I go to the Wawa in Dundalk on North point blvd daily since I work close by. I had done a survey about their croissants for breakfast. I had wrote that the sandwiches were always burnt. After doing the survey, the sandwiches were not burnt and are very delicious. I didn’t think they would read my comments on the survey but they did so I’m very happy about that. Just know that if there is a problem then do a survey and they will get better.

As of last night i am unemployed again. I was hired on because store 266 was remodeling. Where all their employees they had previously went was my first question but hey I had a job and was not about to complain.
Early on it dawned on me that the managers LOVE to play favorites. Little did I realize no matter how hard I worked, so long as I wasn’t part of their little group I wasn’t going to last. I’ve been the pack mule from day one doing more work around the store than at least 50% of the other employees and a few managers at that. That’s not just me blowing my own horn, I’ve had a several people tell me how impressed they were with how much i did around the store. And every time I was “not good enough” I adapted and made due. I realized there isn’t going to be any light at the end of the tunnel, they will always find something that I’m “not doing right”. So now I’M the one out of a job because i did not work hard enough or because i didn’t brown nose my way into a higher position. My favorite part was trying to find the number for Human Resources. Whenever I asked any manager they would eventually point me to the Wawa website or the employee website, which of course yielded no results when searched. Had no complaints from customers (that I know of), most of the other employees seemed to like me (as far as i know). Ultimately I quit because it is too frustrating doing what I’m told (and then some), only to get the shaft because the General manager simply doesn’t like me.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing because I am a daily customer at Wawa and would like to continue shopping at your stores. I frequent the Philadelphia, PA location at Shefield and Frankford Avenue and spend a lot of money there. I am a single female, so I do not cook often. Instead, I purchase the same sandwich daily, as well as, a beverage, cigarettes, and five hour energy drinks. I also stop in every morning to purchase a coffee and a tastycake. I estimate I spend about 20-30 dollars daily in your store. That may not be a lot of money in the scheme of things, however, in this economy and in good business, I think every customer should be appreciated and their opinions should matter. I say all of this because a situation occurred today that really frustrated me. I purchased five packs of cigarettes at a wawa store this afternoon in Philadelphia on red lion road. I only used this wawa because I passed it on my route home. When I got home, I realized that the cashier from that store had given me the wrong cigarettes (100’s instead of shorts). I went back to wawa at Shefield and Frankford to exchange the cigarettes and was told they would not do it without a receipt. This angered me for two reasons. First, I have never received a receipt any wawa when I pay cash. I do receive one when I purchase on debit , but only when I am asked if I would like one and say yes. Since I was not given a receipt I do not think this was fair. Secondly, I shop in this store daily. For this fact alone, I feel wawa should have accommodated me. I am extremely frustrated and I would like for someone to contact me with an explanation for why this occurred. I don’t think I should have to purchase five new packs of cigarettes. I have all five packs, unopened, and I would like to have them exchanged or receive a credit for future purchases. I typically do not complain, but this upset me because I am a loyal wawa customer and have been for many years. I love wawa. I have had nothing but good experiences and the staff is very friendly. Maybe that is why this surprised me so much. In addition, I suggest all customers paying cash OR debit at any wawa should receive receipts. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Kelly Straughn

I would like to start off by saying that I go to 2 different Wawa stores frequently. My daughter works the night shift at store 8032 in Palmer Twsp. PA. I work EMS and have donen ao for many years. I understand that you policy is to only give the Ploice dept. free coffee. I don’t drink it anyhow. On one occasion I jad the chance to stop in and see my daughter. I ordered a Sizzlie and wanted extra sausage put on it. When the guy who made it handed it to me, he advised me to tell the cashier to wiring up the code he wrote on it. So I did. Well she apparently didn’t know what she’s doing because she just looked at me. So I explained it to her again. So she rang me up and then got on the head set and told everyone that I tried stealing the sizzlie. My daughter heard her announcement and was mortified. She came out to Stella (cashier) and told her that I was her mother and I didnt try to steal. She just didn’t ring it up right. My daughter puts a lot of hours for your company. Not because ahe has too, but because she loves her job.I do NOT appreciate r huh is woman bad mouthing me like that. When I see her working, I go to another register. If no one else is there, I do not purchase anything. Its sad that a woman like that could prevent people from coming in to do business.

Your Wawa located at 67 Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne PA 19050 is having problems with servicing it’s customer. Over the thanksgiving holiday, they’ve repeatedly run out of cup carriers. When I would normally have picked up 4 coffees, without a cup carrier I would only by 1, how much business did you lose during the busy holiday week.
Today I go in to that location at 5:45am, and there’s no regular coffee, all 5 canisters are empty. The others with flavored coffee are full, but no regular coffee, how can that be. Aren’t you getting ready for the work day. I left and went to Dunkin Donuts.
There has been a recent change in managers to that location. Maybe that is the issue.

Unfortunately I’ll probably lose the vehicle soon because I wasn’t valued as a good employee. I tried my best each day to greet customers and executed exceptional service at a respectable pace. I completely understand why it may seem like I do drugs simply because I am always in a wonderful mood, I was even willing to bleed for wawa to prove I am no addict. As I witnessed my manager with crushed up pills I wondered if they were xanax and she says don’t worry. Next thing I hear from her is “we need YOU to go take a blood test” . In which I told her no problem, next day I have off. She made that impossible wanted it done immediately after I had worked my shift, tired, injured, crutches in the office, sorry I quit. On August 23rd 2013 I was terminated for lateness by my Gm Rich Finn accompanied by another manager, Alan Arnold. During this period of time I was working 3rd shift for nearly 1 1/2 year out of the 9 hardworking years I put into that job. It wasn’t just a job,but a second home. Prior to being fired I had been written up for my lateness’s, however I confided in Alan and rich of my problems at home and there only concerns were to leave your problems at the door and be on time. Easy to say but they knew my mindset was becoming altered. I was prescribed alprazolam for sleep and occasssional anxiety. One night it was apparent I wasn’t able to function and God bless the Angels that got me to work unharmed as well as unharming another person. At this point there were 4 emplyees in the store at about 12am discussing I go home and Alan stay so rich was caled in. Making him an extra person to mediate the situation. I told him I had trouble sleeping and at 7pm I took a sleeping pill. Unknowingly how groggy I would be as I was unfamiliar with the effects in such a short period of time. Quite frankly I was amazed at the way rich degraded me but more so he sent me home with no escort after seeing what condition I was in and how far I lived. Sadly I had hit a parked car and gave a report to the police of that incident. I did not tell anyone at the store out of embarrassment because that was not who I am. I’m a hard worker, I put ever inch of effort into that job. After most of the management changed and Scott white and Brion Kot were transferred I felt like the new shift supervisors didn’t care to get to know me. The fresh food manager Trevor said hi to me less times than I can count on one hand, but he was quick to find reasons to put down my work when I made that Wawa look spectacular almost every morning. im an introvert and I take in the negative and breath it out because I knew 100% in my heart he couldn’t do half the work I did on 3rd every night.
I now work for starbucks, in all respects a good company, but before that management change at Wawa I was so committed to persevere and work my way up. Though under RIchs authority I was denied again and again over an incident in which I had to talk to his boss about how he unfairly treated me and denied my transfer requests.
If I could have another chance at another store starting out part time I would prove to this company I was a valuable asset. It’s been a year now and my heart still bleeds for this job. It’s where I met the love of my life, where I made great friends, where I intervened in a suicide attemp of an associate and instead convinced him to go to rehab. Now he’s been 3 years sober and if I hadnt been there at his rock bottom he could have left a wonderful family and great coworkers who cared behind. He confided in me later that he told 2 other coworkers but they said nor did nothing.
My life was Wawa. I was a superstar in that deli….during a lunch rush my body moved as if making hoagies was a dance. I not only had been told my numerous customers how fast I was but they also commented how perfect the sandwich was. The compliments from customers always made my night.
I didn’t deserve to be fired, I should have been offered help as Wawa prides themselves on helping there associates with a variety of issues, but like I said rich wanted no part so he said leave it at the door. To me that meant leave it to yourself go do your work and don’t bother me with your silly problems. If only he didn’t deny me all the transfers I requested I’d still be doing what I was meant to do. Be a Wawa superstar. Hopefully I’ll have that opportunity as I applied but so far have yet to get an answer after a manager is truly interested it always seems as if something or someone changes there mind. Too bad because they could of had a great employee.
I almost forgot to mention the cellulitis I contracted by being bitten by what I assumed was a spider while making a hoagie. The next day my leg was so swollen and Rich yelled at me for not reporting an incident report the day before (I thought at the time I was fine and symptoms didn’t occur til the next night. I mean honestly who write an incident report on a bug bite). Well since it got serious I filled out a workmans compensation form and an incident report and saw the specialist Wawa had me see. Since this occurred this staph infection has reoccurred almost every 3 months. Even after being fired…isn’t that still a workmans comp case. Thankfully I’m meticulous with my medical information and costs. All I’m saying is I suffered a horrible condition months before I was fired and my boss treated it like poison ivy. I want so badly to work again but I feel sorry for anyone who gets hired by him bc he’s can be nice to your face but shut the door and fury breaks loose. I was stuck. With out his approval of a transfer , whom he did for two other employees while I was there, I couldn’t get out. I could have never contracted this infection that affects my life til this day.

I currently work at wawa but I use to work at store 153. The manager that is there was there 9 1/2 years ago when I was there. When he got to that store he ruined it! I really loved working there until he started cutting everybody’s hours including mine. I had to transfer to another store. I know for a fact he is having an affair with one of the employees. Why is wawa still letting him work there? The affair has been going on for 9 years?

so i worked at the wawa in limerick store 8038. i was working there for just under 4 months and then i had to look for another job. they were very unorganized, rude, some were unfriendly, and the managers were NOT managers at all! my GM would come in multiple mornings in a row smelling of marijuana and eyes blood shot red! i liked my job but i hated the store i was in. i busted my butt working and doing doubles n coverage and was resulted in a 18 cent raise. wanted a shift runner position and still was not able to get it and then my hours started gettin cut. after i asked questions and nothing happened i had to begin looking for further employment. then my infant daughter and i were both sick and called out for 3 days and on tht sunday i didnt know i was scheduled and didnt show so i was terminated! i called multiple times to speak with my manager to try to get my job back or a letter and she denied me ignored me and will not even respond to me so i could atleast get a termination letter. now im still trying to get one and NOTHING and its been a month since she terminated me!

Your new store at Egypt Road and US422 in Oaks, PA need a lot of help. I’m there every morning on my way to work at 6am and everyday it’s the same thing, always out of coffee and one register open with at least 12 people in line, with 5 or 6 workers standing behind the deli talking away, why did you close the old wawa, service was great and coffee was always fresh……Turkey Hill and 7-11 are looking a lot better since you opened your new store

Hello my name is Sherriece Jones I was recently contacted by one of your recruiters by the Name of Craig. Our first initial conversation was great! We talked about diversity in establishments and being able to provide different comfort foods for all walks of life including my previous employer its an awesome way to increase sales and game revenue.. After the conversation I felt great. He scheduled me my first phone interview for a couple of days later . The interview was going so I thought he asked me questions pertaining to my previous job I answers them actually and honesty. While we were in conversation I told him about one job I had that closed down because it was constantly being robbed I also that some of us were held at gun point. We also talked about others misfortunes iv had in my career in retail were talking over 25 years. I been spit on, cursed out and maced. He then expresses to me that the areas that Wawa’s are in are somewhat of a different atmosphere than Trenton NJ and Princeton because are the places I’ve been employed also he asked me not to harp on diversity because it may seem to the employer that I’m bitter because I once written a proposal to a company in reference to look outside the traditional family and aim more twords international foods and it was not taken into consideration although he brought it up.
In any event he proceeded to tell me my answer were to strong but he could see that I truly was passionate about what I do however in so many words the hiring manager may see me as plan old ghetto or the cause of my own disrespect which is far from the truth. When I hung up my phone I sat and thought about it and got instantly offended. Do I think this man is racist ? Most certainly not ,do I think he judged me off questions he asked and I answered honesty ? Yes I do if an employer judges you off were you come from and where you’ve been and is still able to work in retail without loosing you mind and or freedom maybe this is not a company I wish to employed by. No hard feelings against Craig maybe he thought it was good sound advice but I definitely have some for him. Trenton, NY, California, Florida ,Canada whereever you go wherever you live ignorance is alive. I believe applicants should be honest ! No an employer doesn’t need to know your whole life story however they should know that the person is honest and trust worthy.P.S.DONT ASK QUESTIONS YOU DON’T WANT HONEST ANSWERS TO AND DONT JUDGE PEOPLE FROM ANY AREA THEY MAY LIVE IN.
Thank you….

I frequent store 201 in Chester Springs, PA or should I say used to. There is one associate there that has some kind of sinus condition where he is constantly snorting, sniffing like he’s got a perpetual runny nose. That in itself is rather disgusting but the worst part is he works in the deli. How appetizing is that? He’s making food while snorting his cooties!!! THIS IS GROSS!!!! Not to mention that I’ve been to other stores and it seems that Wawa has a requirement on their job applications where their associates can’t have a full set of teeth or even teeth that are in good shape!

Marisa show me how big the pizza was and how to order from your order terminal. I would like to say “thumbs up”! Marisa made Buffalo Chicken Focaccia Pizza perfect and she did it with a great smile. Great job Marisa! Pizza was delicious. You guys at Wawa Store #233 Rock!

Store 811 in Delaware is a horrible place to work. A lot of back stabbing employees Emily and Cara are just a few. The GM Dan is just a kid 26 or 28 and favors his employees. The store is very dirty . Tom the new AGM is an ass. I don’t recommended this store to work at . I was a great employee I’ve been told but when I needed help they terminated me and gave me a care card to call and get help. I did abandoned my shift but found someone to cover and AGM Tom said no .So when I showed up for work I couldn’t handle my problems and left tks 811 for caring .Now I really have problems way to help your employee

I am royally pissed that I drove out of my way to get 2 for $3 Sizzli sandwiches only to get to the office and find them both (croissants) burnt to a crisp. I don’t mean a bit “well done” I mean burnt til they smelt and taste burnt. Not one, two and I did even get them from the same case. This was the Wawa station in Hopewell VA. Always something “special” with that Hopewell Wawa. This last strike is the cure. No more Wawa for me.

I hope you all realize what a GREAT asset she is to your store.Lately she has not been there and either have I. Again that place is NEVER the same without her being there. Hi, Yesterday I was teminated from store muber #8300 for something that was simply not my fault. For the last few month my GM has had an issue with me for reason I cant explain. I was involved in an incident I simply could not prevent or fix. The only reason I stayed employed for this long is because my fuel manager would stick up for me because he knew I was a hard worker. So while my manager was on vacation my GM just so happened to let me go. There has been a few time were I would see the GM let another associate slide because she favored him while I got terminated because a women drove off on my island while I was on a different island finishing up with another customer. There were also times were assistant manages would transfer because they felt the store was poorly ran. I had two co-workers that day that werent aware that this just happened..I hope someone ca
n help me further my career with Wawa by reading this. I would of been employed for a year October 5th and in this time I never called out, never was late, never disobeyed an order I was giving, NEVER had an issue with fellow co-workers and NEVER had a single customer complaint

I am currently a Wawa employee and I am completely dissatisfied with my manager who uses intimidation and favoritism in our store she doesn’t abide by our core values and throws her weight in the company around so no one will stand up to her and she puts on an innocent face when she even suspects that something could be happening several ex employees and/or employees that were transferred can vouch for me and i can get at least two people from every shift to do the same. I believe entirely in the company and can’t believe that this has happened for so long I would personally like to speak with Chris Gheyesen and some of the other top level people in our private corporation and after this post and or within two weeks from now i can assure you I will no longer be working for this company

Currently, there is a manager-in-training at the Hockessin, DE store. He treats the employees terribly – one minute he’s up & happy, next minute, he is extremely angry. Very scary – makes me think of someone who would go into a store & shoot everyone. Does the corporate office take a look at some of these scary personalities that are put in as managers? Someone who is supposed to be a manager should treat their employees decently – not use harrassment & nastiness such as this. What I have seen there makes me really concerned.

Store number 352 of Collingswood, NJ is typically the one I love going to, but one of its employees, the pregnant black woman jasmine or janelle is by far the rudest employee to represent Wawa as a company. Every time I go to this store, she is unpleasant to all the customers, never greets you or even gives you the idea that you’re welcome to this store or your business is appreciated. She is a miserable person who makes me not want to go to my hometown wawa. Someone needs to explain to her what it takes to be a wawa employee and not some grunge ignorant woman who obviously hates her job and takes it out on the customers with her negative vibes.

I have been going to the souderton, PA store everyday for the past several years. Today on monday august 25 at 6am I stopped there as usual to get gas. I went inside and paid with a $100 bill. I went outside to pump my gas as I was aproched by a wawa employee saying that I need to come inside. She told me that the 100 bill I gave her was fake. So I got another $100 from my pocket and she said that was fake as well. She asked me how I was going to pay for the gas that I already pumped. I said with the money that I gave you!! So she got the assistant manager and she said she was gonna call the cops on me. So I found enough money in small bills to pay for the gas. So I left to go to work. I was embarrassed and harassed. While I was at work I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I left and went back to the bank where I got the money from. They told me that the bills were not fake and gave me new ones. It ruined my whole day. Thinking that I had fake money and how I was going to pay my bills. So I think they need a better system to identify fake money

The 20 oz plastic Cups that can be purchased need to be redesigned. The bottoms are to narrow to stay in the Car cup holders. As a result they tip out of the holders onto the floor.
Please redesign. They are dangerous. When a driver tries to catch the cup he can lose control of the wheel. Removing coffee and milk from the carpet is not what you want as Wawa Company.
Please contact me as I believe I know part of the solution.

As I walk up to the counter with my order slip, Pepsi soda and bag of chips. I turn around and notice a woman with black curly hair, dark glasses, and black outfit with sandals. This woman was very demanding to your staff behind the counter, uncooperative, and not listening regarding chicken noodle soup. I would like to say please give customer service recognition award to Amanda, and her two associates (do not know there names, one wearing black hat with wawa pins and glasses) for there professional manners, customer service leadership skills, helping and assisting, and job well done. They kept their composure, team work, and helping each other defused a situation. Also like to say, Amanda, Customer service associate, was very polite, professional, helpful, multi task orders, and great customer service with a smile. I never seen someone make hoagies at a fast pace and make a chicken parmesan sandwich perfect. Amanda desires the fastest hoagie making award. Last month (July 20th), I wrote a letter to Wawa Corp regarding Asst. Mgr. Meghan for her dedication, leadership skills and devolution to her job at Wawa. I shop at Wawa every night after work. I would like to say these men and woman that work at wawa#223 are the best. Been a customer every day since the opening. Very pleasant experience.
Recently encountered dishonest practices when receiving change from gas attendants
and inside cashiers. Gave a $ 50 and received change for a $ 20. “I punched in $ 20.
Shorted a $ 1.00 at gas pump. “Oh sorry the bill got stuck on counter”.
There doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge to talk to. It seems that a few dishonest
workers feel that they can try to cheat and probably are successful in some of their attempts. A few such workers can turn customers away .Thanks for your attention.

I sold over 100 wawa tickets for shortie hoagies. I went into the WAWA at Frankford and Linden Ave and order a classic hoagie and went to cashier to pay and they would not except ticket and upgrade me. They said I was not allowed to do that. I spoke to the general manager Tyrone and said no and made me pay full price for a classic hoagie????
I sold these tickets in good faith and can not believe your store or stores will not honor them. Either you have not trained your managers correctly or you are not true to your word, which I find very hard to believe. I really need this problem fixed.

Meghan look at the can of coke and on the side of the can had the words, “Share a coke with a friend”. I was very impress; happy, bought tears to my eyes because of all the Wawa stores I go to, none of your employees has ever ask that question about what’s written on a side of a soda can. I was having bad morning. I said to Megan “I would be happy to share a coke soda with you any time”! Meghan made me laugh. She said “I’m a Pepsi gal, I don’t drink Coke”! Meghan did that with a smile. I said to her “I’m a Pepsi guy; I just need a coke soda to wake up”! We draw up a small conversation & Meghan said “Have a pleasant day, come back soon”! When Meghan said that, my morning went from bad to a great day! I am writing this letter because customer service is a big part in the retail industry. Without great customer service skills, the retail industry would not survive. Customers would go somewhere else to shop. Please give Meghan, Asst. Mgr. a Customer Service Recognition Award for her customer service and professional leadership skills. She deserves it! You need more employees like Meghan. When I need a newspaper, cigarettes, hoagie, soda, etc, I know what store to go to. Store# 223, Woodlyn, PA.

I visit the WAWA at 6800 Risingsun & Longshore daily. I purchase gas for two cars, buy coffee and food on these daily visits. I also spend hundreds of dollars per week playing the lottery machine in this WAWA store. I attempted to cash a $250.00 lottery ticket on Saturday 7/12/14, and was told by the General Manager (Mr. Mahmud) that he could not cash my ticket because WAWA has a $100.00 limit or policy on the amount paid out on lottery tickets regardless of the fact that I was a regular customer. I informed the General Manager that the previous General Manager had cashed a ticket for a higher amount. Mr. Mahmud responded in a very nasty and most unprofessional manner, “I don’t care what the other GM did.” At this very moment, I decided to take my business across the street to the Sunoco. When I did, this store manager had not problem cashing my ticket; therefore, I purchased $50.00 worth of gas from the Sunoco and decided to take my business across the street for good. I refuse to spend my money where I am not treated with respect and extended the common courteously a paying customer deserves. WAWA lost three good customers this day as my wife, son and I used this store for more than 6 Years. The old GM needs to be sent back to this WAWA as the old GM was very nice, professional and pleasant to all of his customers.

I recently went to a Wawa a few days ago in New Castle #840 on Memorial Drive on third shift and I would like to talk about her. The manager on duty Kenisha handled a very bad situation very well with a very vulgar customer. She always has smiles when I come in and makes sure my experience at Wawa is well satisfying. She has great customer service and makes me want to come back every night. These young ladies on this shift have it rough at night. But from my experiences at being at Wawa Kenisha has held it together for them and never has made my wait longer than 5 minutes. Besides the fact that the young lady disrespected her and the whole store Kenisha held it together so the customers like me wouldn’t see the craziness going on in there. She is doing a good job and I will come back every night as long as she is there.

I applied at a wawa store because I was really interested learning there management because I’ve heard nothing but great things about your company, so I took on part time with your company since then I’ve left the company because I’ve never been treated so bad by an employer in my life. The management at the store in frazer on planebrook and 30 is the worst. They allow co-workers to have food fights and curse with customers around and have customers hangout in store talking with them. Plus when you go there at night they allow kids to sit beside the store or behind the store hanging out which doesn’t look good on a business. It’s a shame that store and the magament team makes me think differently.

1. Please make meatless hoagies.
2. The sodium content with meat and the heat is dangerous for people with high blood pressure. Yes, I know you can not please everyone, just thought I’d mention.
3. Suggestions for next year: fruit, salads, bar-b-que, etc.

His words exactly, “if it’s not rolled, I’m not XXXXXing taking it.” Money is money & should be taken in all forms. Yet, according to this very rude cashier, he disagreed. She was lazy and rude of not giving me any customer service. She told me that there was a walmart and a wegmans Go there! She’s talking to her co workers while the line was getting bigger. Like I said, only bad experience. I love WAWA and continue to shop WAWA but there needs to be some management changes in this store. You blow 7-11 away, they look the same as they did 30 years ago. And Royal Farm, really no competition. Maybe Sheetz? I still give you first place over Sheetz. Thanks for listening.

As I read thru all of these negative stories I just had to put my 2 sense in. I stop at the store on Lincoln Ave Prospect Park, Pa Daily couldn’t find a better group of employees always smiling always polite always cleaning and refilling coffee supplies top notch crew and top notch store. I also frequent your new gas station / store on Swarthmore Ave in Folsom / Ridley Twshp., also a great group of people and a meticulously clean store Don’t know what all these people complain about but in all my travels through the Mid Atlantic states I have never found any Wawa store other than exceptional in quality and service

I have been a customer of Wawa store# 673 at Iron Bridge and Cogbill Rd. Richmond VA since it opened. I stop there every morning on my way to work between 5:30-5:45 am Mon-Fri. Typically, I’m not one to make a big deal out of things but it is becoming an ongoing issue that this store never has enough cashiers at this busy time of morning. There are usually several employees in the food prep area but not enough cashiers. In addition there has often been times when there were no sizzlers ready. You advertise selling them from 5 am – 11 am. This morning I came in and got my coffee then headed to get a sizzler and there were none. This was at 5:35 am. In addition it was a very long line of people waiting to check out and there was only one cashier. There are times when it is two cashiers or someone from the food area will come over and assist but too many times as is the case of this morning where there is one cashier and nobody assisting and no sandwiches made. I stood in line for 10 minutes. I love the store and it’s products and the staff is generally great but service during the 5:00-6:00 am hour is not very good.

Tried to send this via the “Get in Touch” page on your web site, but there’s no confirmation that it was sent. I bought a tank of gas Wednesday morning at the Wawa on Del. 202, in Talleyville. It cost $3.659 per gallon. When I exited I-95 South at Del. 141 south and passed the new Wawa on West Basin Road and Commons Blvd., the price was $3.469. Same county, not terribly far apart. Why the huge difference in cost per gallon? Gas is pricey enough as it is.
Thanks.

Nearly 3 months ago, I applied to work at Wawa #155, I had previously worked at Wawa #155, and never had a major problem with anyone while working there. I received Goose Bumps numerous times, and received positive reviews from my general manager during my biannual reviews. After applying, I went to Wawa #155 and spoke with the new general manager, Aimee, who I’d never worked with before. I informed her I had applied and would like to work over the summer while I was home from college. Aimee then told me that she’d give me a phone interview the next day. Assuming that Aimee was honest and professional, I did not apply anywhere else. However, the next day, my phone interview never came. Assuming she was busy I waited a week and called the store while I was away at school to see what was going on.
Over the course of the next 6 weeks, I called the store about 8 times, and every time I talked to Aimee, she had another excuse of why she couldn’t do my phone interview at that moment. One excuse was “it’s the lunch hour right now, I’m busy, call back at 3”. When she told me to call her back at 3, I did, and came to find out that Aimee had already left for the day. About two weeks later, I called Wawa #155 and talked to Aimee over the phone. I informed her that I was coming home for the weekend and would be available for a face to face interview if she’d be available as well. Aimee told me she was working that Saturday morning, and to come in before the lunch hour to see her. When I arrived at Wawa #155, that morning, Aimee told me she could not find my application in the application pool, and to call me back at 3pm when she’d be able to check again. I called back at 3, and Aimee told me she still couldn’t find my application, and provided a number for me to call to see if there was a problem with my application submission. Immediately after talking to Aimee, I called the Wawa corporate number to ask them if there was an issue with my application, and was informed that nothing was wrong and she had been able to see my application the whole time. It was at this moment that I decided to ask Aimee if there were any concerns she had about hiring me.
I called Aimee in mid April and asked her what was going on, and she informed me that she did have concerns about hiring me. When asked what these concerns were, she told me that associates I’d worked with before from 1st shift (4am-3pm) told her that it was a bad idea to hire me. I informed Aimee that I was not interested in working 1st shift, so any problems people working 1st shift had with me, would not be an issue since they’d never have to work at the same time I would be working. Aimee then informed me that another associate I had worked with before had come back to work over the previous summer while he was home from college, and he was a lazy and unmotivated worker. Regardless, the person she was referring to was not me, and therefore this anecdote did not apply to my situation. Aimee then told me that members of her managerial staff had a problem with her hiring me, which was surprising, considering none of the current managerial staff at Wawa #155 had worked with me before, including herself. Truthfully, all of this came as a surprise to me, as I had previously spoken with numerous associates I’d worked with before who were still at Wawa #155, and their consensus was that I should reapply to work over the summer.
After discussing these concerns at length with Aimee, she then told me that she was willing to give me an interview, and to work with me on whatever concerns she had. I was happy with this agreement, and I felt that Aimee was actually willing to do the things she said. Aimee did not give me an exact date for our interview, but told me to call her before I came home from school to set up a date.
Today, I called Aimee to inform her that I’d be coming home for the summer this weekend, and to set up a date for my interview. After getting on the phone, Aimee proceeded to tell me that she was not giving me an interview, as she had filled all the positions she needed. I was shocked and infuriated. After 3 months of being promised interviews followed by empty excuses, I wasn’t even being given an interview.
Aimee’s unprofessional handling of my application is what has led me to file this complaint. As a former Wawa employee, I expected to be respected and treated fairly, not lied to and ignored. Additionally, as a dean’s list and honors university student, I felt I was certainly qualified for the position of a customer service associate which I’d applied for. Throughout the entire 3 months, Aimee had lied to me numerous times, both to my face and over the phone, and had allowed biased non-managerial associates to play a role in my hiring process. Personally, I’d like to see something done about this situation; whether it be Aimee being reprimanded, or me receiving a job at a different location in my area.
Regardless, Aimee’s deceptive and unprofessional actions were appalling, and completely go against the Wawa core values, particularly those of valuing people, doing things right, and doing the right thing. Over the course of this encounter, Aimee did not value me at even the lowest level of being a living, breathing, and able-bodied person, let alone being a competent and qualified applicant. Furthermore, Aimee did not do things right. If she did not intend to hire me, she could have told me much earlier than 3 months later, and did not have to lie to me to my face and over the phone. Lastly, Aimee did not do the right thing. She handled my application process in a matter that was extremely unprofessional, deluding, and deceptive. In short, Aimee did not uphold any of the applicable Wawa core values, but rather chose to lie to me, make excuses, and ignore my application.
I am prepared to bring any necessary legal or media action against Aimee and Wawa if this complaint is not handled properly. I am shocked that such an outstanding company would allow someone as unprofessional as Aimee to hold a managerial position, and hope that you are as shocked at her actions as I was. Thank you for your time, and I hope the resolution of this complaint can help to further my belief in Wawa as a strong, morally-sound corporation.
Sincerely,
John

I stopped at your new store in st. Petersburg fl this morning as I do every morning since they opened and tried to get regular coffee and they were out. The gentleman that was mopping the floor said ” we just got here”. Don’t you think when leaving a shift you should make sure coffee is ready? That’s really the only thing I can complain about. I love your stores and will continue to stop there. But please make sure you have coffee at 4 am. Thanks!

Last week on 4/24/2014 I stopped at the Bethlehem broad Street store and ordered 2 chicken cheesesteaks, and after paying I was made to wait 20 mins because the person behind the counter decided to clean both ovens at the same time, and it took this long for them to warm back up. I was upset but I left it go. I decided to take a chance again tonight 5/2/2014 and once again I ordered 2 chicken cheesesteaks, prepaid and waited 20 mins only to be told that they were out of chicken. I then asked for beef instead, but was told that was out as well, I asked how things could be empty on a Friday, and all I got was rude comments. I asked to speak to a manager, but little did I know I was speaking to her (Cassie). I’m very disappointed 2 times in a row now. I never had this problem when (Nick) was running the night shift. If this continues I will be taking my business elsewhere. You are not the only 24hr business in this area.
Extremely Disappointed,

I stopped in today about 1045-11am apx Pulled in, ran to the atm for $40 cash pulled into the not extreamly busy gas station , waited waited and watched several people who came after me get waited on My boyfriend rolled down the window and said to the black man (name unknown) does someone work on this side? Nothing was the response finally a smaller guy named (Eddie) walked over I asked for $40 regular he said sure punched it in, put the pump in the car and walked off to the booth where he met up with the black guy who wanted to make faced, talk trash and whatnot so my boyfriend opened the door and said “excuse me do you have something you wanna say” this guy wanted to get all ghetto and smart a**ed with him he stood infront of my car im 99% positive his knees were touching my lisence plate that how close he wasand he was screaming F*** you and a bunch of other stuff my boyfriend was on his way out the car because this employee was off the hook!
The smalled guy Eddie was at this point at my pump and the taller guy said “mother fumer something or other came to my pump tried to rip the pump out of my car (he didnt even shut the pump off so it was flowing all over the side of my car and the ground so at this point now I get out of the car because it is my car and now its being treated with disrespect I work extremely hard for my money to have a nice car and for this jerk to do that now I have an issue , so has on my car and all over the ground (pulling pumps out of the car while still on im 99.9% positive thats a safety violation)
I told Eddie to get a manager NOW and I wasnt playing I got loud and I was 110% furious so he called a manager out, I told the manager what happened and told him he neded to go watch the surveillance tapes to see how his employee just acted and treated us … he said that guy was his best employee (id hate to see his worse employee) and I said there is gas all pver my car and the ground and im not paying for gas I didnt get this employee still stood there infront of the manager talking trash to us..the manaher said tje gas was on him and I proceeded to the dunkin donuts across the street for a cup of coffee (because after that I refused to walk into that wawa for coffee) when I left dunkin and drove past wawa I saw the employee that just caused this big a** fight …. I want to know why wawa thinks its okay to keep employees on who do that? And why wawa thinks $40 in has or actually less cuz some is on the ground is a solution? Im going to be taking my car to the auto body shop and let them check out the paint fom the gas and I will be re contacting wawa..I cant believe I was called a mother f***er and heard f*** you about 6 times from a gas attendant. .. im in the customer service industry (hotel) and I would never talk to my customers like that im a supervisor and I would never allow my employees to talk to my customers like that… I would appreciate a call from someone in the corporate office regarding this matter .. I always tell anyonei talk to how I would rather shop and visit XXXXberland county stores walmart, tractor supply, wawa, etc because the customer service and people are better then the stores and such in atlantic county (where im from) but im rethinking that because ive never been treated like that or anything close to that esp.for no good reason in atlantic county I think ill start getti g my gas at lukoil (ive never had a problem with them) and im sure you will read this and not car big businesses usually dont … but I will make sure I comment on any and all forums about this incident because ITS WRONG …

I come into store 337 a lot and I find it to have a very rude and nasty manager named Terri don’t ask her a question or for anything you will just get and nasty response or she will talk very sarcastic or aggravated to the point you feel stupid for asking for help. The store is also always out of something especially during lunch. Its always simple stuff that in my opinion should never be out of ketchup, mustard, mayo, sugar, soup, coffee carrier, meatballs, chicken salad ect. anyway think someone should have a conversation about the way certain people speak to customers and maybe to the people ordering. the store is close to my job and most of the time employees are very helpful Kelley Annie Donna all employees I see on a daily and enjoy seeing…. They could use more help though I do notice that they always seem to be working as if they are short handed .

I stopped at the new Wawa on Route 27 in Clermont FL. and my complaint is that I received change for a hundred in five dollar bills because the manager said that a $5.00 bill is the largest they have in the register, so now I feel rich having 19, five dollar bills.
I hope they will be pleased that the next time I come in to pay for a purchase, I’ll pay in change because I don’t carry anything larger that a quarter. I hoope they aren’t real busy.
Melissa says
I would like to state that it is true, the largest denomination that Wawa employees have in their register at all times is a five dollar bill. When the lines become busy, and they acXXXXulate a lot of the larger bills such as twenties and tens, they are forced to drop them into the safe. As many people have witnessed, the person on the register would be in the middle of dropping cash and state, “I’ll be with you in just a moment.” I’m sure that by the time you were in line with your $100 bill, the person on the register had just finished dropping their big bills. Not to sound rude on this next part, but why didn’t you have the original large bill broken down into twenties at the bank in the first place? Most of the time, when making a small purchase at a convenience store, one doesn’t try to use a large bill for this exact reason. As you stated above, next time you’ll pay with change? Either way, money is money and it all spends the same. Perhaps you should have a different outlook on things.

I have become increasingly more and more disappointed with the customer service. I went to the Wawa on Sicklerville Road, right next to the route 42 entrance and attempted to order 3 croissant sandwiches without meat in them. Everytime I tried to ask someone on sandwich making side, they rudely cut me off and pointed me to someone else. When I asked again, I was cut off and then told that they were out but, by that time I didn’t want to order anything else and said nevermind and was leaving. Then the girl began loudly talking about me. I came back and asked her what she was saying and she says, “what do you want me to do?! I can’t do anything.” When I complained to the manager,Eric, about their rudeness, all he says is, “thanks for letting me know.” I never received an apology. I keep seeing rude customer service at many different Wawas and it I am going to be spending less money if any at all from now on. I’m really considering not going to Wawa anymore period.

My nephew had applied online for a job this summer.
He was so eager and excited to work his first year at Wawa.
Unfortunately when taking the online test my daughter messed around with his test while
he was out of the room.
His test results came back as failed and he can’t reapply for 90 days.
Unfortunately this is too late into the summer and Wawa will no longer need him.
Is there a way to override this so he can reapply and go for an interview.

Why does the manager (Brian) of your store (4300 Richmond st. 19137 # 252) neglect the Gillingham st side of your property. It’s been an eyesore for years, people dump trash there all the time. I’m talking about bags and boxes of trash. Right now the manager’s car is parked on top of a pile of cardboard that someone dumped there on Saturday(4 days ago), is he lazy or is it that WAWA doesn’t give a crap about the neighborhood? I have sent an email before and about the side of the building but of course it was directed to the manager (the real problem) and nothing is done, it’s actually getting worse. Cars drive over the sidewalk to exit your lot because of the congestion and that’s how the grass got destroyed in the first place. NONE EVER CLEANS THE LOT ANYMORE. 20 years this store has been here and it just gets dirtier and trashier each year. If someone actually cares and reads this please please help us get this corrected.

I love WaWa but the only thing that really annoys me is letting people pull up at the gas pump, giving the guy his order for gas then getting out and going in the store. Next gas customer has to sit and wait for that person to come out of the store and move their car away from the pump. Why does WaWa allow this??? Put up signs that read “Stay with your car”.

The store is filthy and run down inside and out, I could load a pickup full of garbage with in a 50 foot radius outside the store. the bank by the creek is disgusting and apallling. I have been a very loyal customer to your Brookhaven location, but I will start going elsewhere for the things I need to purchase. Since the new “structure”, from new management down to employees is horrible and most of the time on the second shift it leaves a bad experience for customers. It is pretty bad when one employee (coffee and sandwiches) asked another (deli) to call up front and ask them to have someone come back to get the sandwiches because she has drink orders and the other employee (deli) gives her an attitude, loudly saying “THEY ARE BUSY UP FRONT!” Then starts slamming oven doors, rude remarks and stating and I quote “I am not dealing with this attitude” Mind you she was the one with an attitude. All I can say is “Wow wawa you really dropped the ball with this new “structure”. Rude employees and management. (mind you not this who have been there for years).

I work over at store #811. This is a great store but there are too many things wrong at this Wawa (staff wise). One of my managers Alfred is a bipolar, pompous, mean-spirited person. First off, he talks to me like i’m a piece of you know what. He tells the regular customers that i:m afraid of him so I won’t “backtalk” him. Seriously?! In the middle of our conversation he rudely interrupts saying “Whatever” or “I don’t believe you”. It’s apparent that him & a couple of other employees harass & torture other associates in order to get them to quit or get terminated. As I recall, this is not company guidelines & is very disturbing. I think someone should to a thorough investigation on this specific store staff. I actually have one specific regular customer who let me know that she didn’t appreciate the way the managers spoke to me & that if I went to corporate, she would support it 100%. There is plenty more of this.I would rather speak to someone regarding this, but I couldn’t resist letting everyone know about this corrupt business.

They didn’t even have the decency to cut ot with a knife. It was discusting and I threw it out!
I tried to contact Wawa on the website but it looks like I couldn’t enter the date and time correctly. This is even after I copied and pasted your example.

GOOD MORNING,
FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO TELL YOU, OUR FAMILY LOVES OUR WAWA! WE LIVE FOR THEM AND WHEN WE TRAVEL WE TRUELY MISS THEM! OUR SON’S BOTH WERE MARINES. THE OLDEST FOR SIX YEARS AND THE YOUNGEST FOR SEVEN. WE USED TO SEND THEM WAWA COFFEE AND COFFEE MUGS FOR CHRISTMAS AND THEIR BIRTHDAY’S TO SHARE WITH THEIR UNITS.
MY HUSBAND AND I EAT BREAKFAST AT OUR WAWA’S QUITE OFTEN, AS WE ARE RUNNING OUR ERRANDS. I HAVE LIVED ON MY 64 OZ COFFEE FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS! ONE THING I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT WAS I WANTED TO PURCHASE A NEW 64 OZ MUG BUT I’M TOLD THAT THEY AREN’T AVAILABLE ANY MORE. UGH…
OK NEXT SMALL PROBLEM I HAVE IS I ORDER THE SAME BREAKFAST SANDWHICH EVERY MORNING.. EGG WHITE WITH AMERICAN CHEESE ON ENGLISH MUFFIN. SOMETIMES I DON’T GET THE CHEESE I JUST ORDER THE EGGWHITE ON THE MUFFIN. OF COURSE I HAVE TO SPECIAL ORDER IT, WHEN I GO TO PAY FOR IT I LET THE CASHIER KNOW THAT I HAVE THE EGGWHIT AND CHEES ON MUFFIN.. I AM OFTEN TOLD IT DOESN’T MATTER. THEY RING IT UP FOR A HAM, EGG WHITE, CHEDDAR MUF. OR A SAUSAGE/EGGWHITE/CHEDDAR MUF. I ASK THEM, WHY AM I PAYING FOR MEAT WHEN I DON’T EAT IT? I AM TOLD THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. I TRY NOT TO ARGUE WITH THEM, BUT I HAVE BEEN SOMETIMES BEEN GIVEN A CODE FOR THEM AND MOST TIMES NOT. SO I KNOW THEY AREN’T THE SAME PRICE.
I DID TELL MY HUSBAND THIS WEEKEND, IF THIS CONTINUES.. IF WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MEAT.. (HE’S A MEAT EATER) I’LL ORDER MY SANDWHICH WITH THE MEAT AND JUST GIVE IT TO HIM, I’LL NOT EAT THE TOP MUFFIN AND BLOT THE EGG. BUT AT LEAST I’LL BE GETTING WHAT I’M PAYING FOR! RIGHT? IT’S ALMOST LIKE FOR A MEAT EATER ORDERING A STEAK DINNER BUT BEING CHARGED FOR SURF AND TURF. I KNOW THAT SEEMS OVER THE TOP, BUT IF I ADD UP ALL THE SANDWHICHES OVER THE YEARS THAT I KEEP GETTING OVERCHARGED FOR.. IT REALLY ADDS UP.
NOW ON ANOTHER NOTE.. WE USE THREE WAWA’S IN OUR AREA MOSTLY… TWO ON ROOSEVELT BLVD.. #8052 STORE, WHICH THERE ARE A BUNCH OF MEN WHO MEET THERE IN THE MORNING AND GOOD LORD.. ARE SOOO POLITE! THEY HOLD THE DOORS FOR EVERYONE COMING AND GOING AND SAY GOOD MORNING TO ALL OF US WITH A SMILE! WOW WHAT AN AWESOME BUNCH OF GUYS! ALSO YOUR EMPLOYEES THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND QUITE HELPFUL TO ME. (I AM SIGHT IMPAIRED AND WHEN I NEED HELP THEY DO SO!)

I stumbled on this page while looking for a contact number. I’m sorry to read the negative comments about some of your stores. The stores in the West Chester PA area are wonderful. The staff is always friendly and the one time I mistakenly bought something that wasn’t sealed ( apples with peanut butter) they refunded my money with no problem. I stop at Wawa a couple of times a day.
Extra kudos to the store on 352 and West Chester Pike for the service they provided to hundreds while most of the area had no electricity.

Visited store #5104 and it was filthy – old food boxes all over the coffee bar, trash on the floor, dust falling off the bird icon, office door left open (just as filthy as the store), I used to go for coffee but I think I’ll find another place – This was too disgusting.

Wawa does make a good hoagie, but the new rolls are so “hard”, we now don’t buy them as often.. There are local shops that make hoagies you can chew for less money !! Why do they Ruin a good product ??

Please bring back English toffee there are no close substitutes I am extremely unhappy that we weren’t even warned that it was a temporary flavor. It was a classic and then one day just like that, it was gone. As a loyal customer for over ten years I think that the many comments to bring back the flavor should be acknowledged.

I would like to comment on the newer wawa in winter park, fl, 901 n Orlando avenue. I have been in there many times and it is by far my favorite gas station to stop at when I’m in the area. It is very clean and the staff is friendly. The cashier I had tonight “India” it said on my receipt has to be one of the most pleasant cashiers I’ve seen. I’ve seen her interact with other customers as well as myself on multiple occasions and each time she is consistently pleasant and friendly. Its the first time I’ve ever recommended a gas station to friends and family. I’m very happy with my experience so far.

My wife and I live near the Wawa by Christiana high school in Newark, DE. We know that is your training store but my experiences there indicate to me that there is a severe lack of training in general customer service. Today, I asked my son to take back an unopened bag of decaf ground coffee. The store owner asked him when it was purchased. My son said he didn’t know and he didn’t have a receipt. The woman (red headed woman with glasses). Refused to exchange the coffee. 5 minutes later I went I to the store to try to exchange the coffee. After arguing-yes arguing- with the same worker she finally agreed to switch the coffee and then she was talking about me rudely when I was standing there. I have been going to this Wawa for 20 plus years and is is just the reason why people will leave Wawa. And, also since I go there almost daily, wouldn’t you think that I would get a more personal greeting? Don’t tell me that people aren’t expected to remember their customers. Remembering people, putting a smile on your face, asking how someone is doing or to have a good day is paramount to providing good customer service.

I am horrified at the sight of a filthy men’s room at store #284, located at 934 Main Street, Royersford. The toilet area is always disgusting and needs a lot of daily care but not getting it, as is the sink area seems it has not been cleaned thoroughly (tile walls around basin) in a long time. I am a 70 year old male that has been going to that particular WAWA since it opened. I had complained to one manager there a few weeks ago because I needed to use the bathroom when I stopped and it was so disgusting with feces on the seat and floor that I would not even attempt to sit down. It seems as though there is no individual keeping up with the cleanliness of the facility like they use to! I stop daily because I drive a school van.
Austin Moore says
Hello, my name is Austin Moore and i currently attend Rio Grand University located in Ohio.
I have recently went to one of my local Wawa stores with two of my friends. Upon exiting the store, i was accused of drinking an energy drink in the back of the store. I argued for a couple of minutes, and after being completely frustrated and humiliated by the staff, i threw 5 dollars down and walked out. The woman that accused me was working behind the sandwich bar, and she told the manager on duty that i had the drink in my hand and that i was drinking it. The manager that night had asked her at least twice whether she was sure it was me she saw drinking it, as he did not see. Later that night i had told my father and my brother what had happened, and they were enraged and forced me to go back. We then proceeded to call the police. After the had arrived, the lady that had accused me of drinking it changed her story to “she assumed i was drinking the energy drink” and not that she had seen it. There was no evidence of it ever being in my hand, out of the six cameras in the store that night, none of them had me drinking it. The store manager then called in and belligerently lied to the police and said “I saw him walking around the store the whole time drinking it and passing it around with his friends.” The sad part about that is the fact that one of the other workers that night told the police that the lady making sandwiches was the only one that saw anything. The police officers then suggested they give the money back, but all they gave back was change and charged me for a fountain drink. The money does not matter to me. The thing that makes me most upset is that i was falsely accused of doing something that i did not do. That is one of the worst feelings in the world. I felt humiliated and they made me seem like a criminal, simply because of the assumption that i was drinking something that never touched my hand. My stomach ached from that feeling. What makes matters worse for me is that that is that Wawa is one of my favorite stores, and me going to college in Ohio, i never get to go there. How can i go back to that store without feeling like i have a label on my back that says “Thief.” The way that the employees handled that situation that night was terrible. You cannot run around pointing fingers at people just because they were in the vicinity. I hope i never have to see anyone at that store again, they treated me like trash when i had done nothing wrong.

I moved to Wilmington, NC several years ago and there are no convenient stores that even come close to a wawa. I have emailed you in the past and have not received a response as to why wawa isn’t in the carolinas. There are many people that know wawa down here that are transplant of the northeast so I refuse to give up. You have to open a store down here. I look forward to hearing back from you. Feel free to call me as well. (484)686-XXXXX.

on 11/21/13 at 4:00 I had to go to Marlton, NJ from Villas, NJ (1hr 45mins). I stopped at the WaWa on Bayshore road in Villas and got my gas tank filled. My engine light came on when I was going to Mr Tire for an oil change on 11/22/13. They ran a diagnostic test and found I did not have a gas cap. I left Mr Tire and went to the WaWa and got my gas cap that they forgot to put back on. It cost me $105.00 for the diagnostic test. I feel that I should be reimbursed for this cost. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and cannot afford dumb mistakes by the attendents. I always get my gas at this station, and apparently this happens at least once a day. Very unhappy with this station.

Please help me to understand your policy’s on employees calling out or coming to work sick. I am currently an employee at wawa and have been so for going on three years. I work hard and cover for other employees often when the need arises. I tried to call out of work for my shift tonight due to the fact that I’m very sick. Fever, cough, sore throat the works. The shift runner I spoke to informed me that I did not give enough notice, even tho I called 6 hours in advance? Also I was told that I had to come in even tho I’m sick because they did not want to give over time to the other employee who was off and works my shift. I just don’t see how this is fair. It’s not fair to me, or the customers and fellow employees who will now be exposed to my flu. I’m very upset and to be honest I’m considering putting in my notice. Why should I work for a store that does not care about my well being? Is over time pay really more important than your employees Heath?

I have been reading through the comments here. I’m shocked at some of them. I have been and still continue to be a WAWA customer. And yes, I have had several incidents with some of the “employees” at a few stores. I’m on the road a great deal in my business and frequent WAWA stores all over on a regular basis. But to have one bad experience and state that you will never go there again is ridiculous. We must all remember that each of us have had many a bad day in our own lives. And maybe the day you had a run in with one of their employees was just “their” bad day. And granted, there are some who definitely should not be serving the public. But keep an open mind as to just throwing in the towel on a company, that many of the comments state of being a long time customer, based on one incident. You can’t throw the whole company under the bus simply because one “individual” offered a not so pleasant experience. Repeated incidents from the same person, I agree would warrant a reconsideration of continued WAWA shopping. But one incident???? I’m sorry but I just felt that some of the comments were posted out of anger and not thought all the way through. Remember, we all use the other end of the pencil from time to time. It’s called an eraser because we “all” have made mistakes. I hope this helps. Peace!

I’ve been going to the same wawa (#753) every day for four years for my coffee
And smokes and I must say that times have changed.
This small little store has gone from being the happiest place I’ve ever visited to the worst
In a matter of months.
It is very obvious to me that the employees aren’t very fond of their manager … Her name is Tammy. I’ve heard their stories as they’ve spoken amongst themselves about how condensending she is and how she treats them as people. Really, it’s a complete sham.
Also the attitudes are atrocious in the place …. A little girl in the deli not sure of her name she has blonde and red hair has the snippiest attitude of them all. She’s very short with customers and seems very annoyed if asked a question about products. Personal experiences!!!
There are a handful of employees there who are true blue good people. Mary Rose, is always busy when I see her but she’s never too busy to. Say hello and pass a smile. Markus is a delight! Always with a smile and even sings while he’s makes hoagies !!! Dinner and a show? Who can resist? And Dee she’s all over the store… I’ve encountered her at the register as well as at the coffee bar she is a very kind girl with a great attitude and I feel you are very fortunate to have her as an employee. Your other associates and manager should take notes on the good eggs I just mentioned. They are the only hope I have left in the store and the only reason I return.

I have always been a loyal customer, but I had a horrible experience with your employee Cassy. She not only was rude, she argued with me loud and repeatedly as well as used profanity towards me. My name is Robert Johnson and I’m a former employee of your company. I started working as a store maintenance associate at store #655 in January of this year. I loved my position and was well-liked and respected by my co-workers and the customers I serviced. In the time period that I was employed, I’ve earned a few goose bumps awards for my performance. I take pride in my work and believe in doing my best when it comes to getting the job done in an efficient manner. As of 5/13/13, I was terminated due to me unknowingly violating a company policy. While I’m not blaming anyone for this decision, I do disagree with the policy and it’s consequences. Long story short, I ate a Sizzli’ biscuit that had just been spoiled out without paying for it. However, I did receive permission from a deli shift manager that this was alright but apparently it wasn’t. Had I had known this, I would have never done so. When called upon and questioned, I was truthful about the event that took place and even offered to pay for it but was denied the opportunity to do so and terminated on the spot. I respect the policies your company has set in place but believe that this is just ridiculous. How is it that your company has over 600 stores and makes 1 billion dollars a year, but can’t even give away a biscuit you were going to throw away? And to an employee as well as a faithful customer of yours nonetheless? As the store maintenance associate I had one of the most toughest and demanding positions available and believe that I deserved a fair chance. As tough as the economy is these days, it’s hard enough trying to stay afloat. I have a fiancee with sickle cell and 2 children that depend on me to provide for them. How does that look to them that that their source of support lost his job because of a breakfast sandwich? And not only that, I’m not even eligible for rehire because of it. It’s not like I purposely stole it… and I got permission from a manager! Isn’t that some form of discrimination? You all are an equal opportunity employer, right? I’m just baffled at the idea of this and hope that something could possibly be done to remedy the situation. Even the manager who had the pleasure of terminating me said she felt bad and that I was a great worker. Like I said, I’m not blaming anyone for my problems. As a man, first and foremost I will do what I have to do to make it in this world. I just really think that I deserve another shot at my job. I’m in no position to be without income. How would you feel if the shoe was the other foot? I hope someone could contact me in regards to this matter. I am a decent person just trying to make an honest living and take care of my family. I can be reached via email. Thanks
Robert

My family and I have been loyal customers of the new Wawa store that just opened in Warrenton, VA. since day one. The store’s number is 8622. We always buy our gas there as well as food, drinks, etc. We have never had a bad experience until tonight. (4/13/2013) It was approximately 11:00 p.m. and my fiancé and I went in to get one of your delicious roast beef subs. Upon entering the store, we immediately heard one of your employees singing really loud and obnoxiously from the food prep area. We proceeded over to your drink coolers and she started yelling through the store that #106 was ready for pick up. She said it was an Italian Sub and she was talking with a really annoying accent. We immediately saw the hesitation of the customer that was waiting on his order because she was telling him to ‘step right up’ and get your food. She also told him to ‘hurry, hurry, we don’t have all day’. We turned and left without making our purchases because quite frankly this was embarrassing and we didn’t want to humiliate the customer that was already annoyed as it was. The employee appeared to either be on something or drunk. I, for one, know that night shift in a retail store can be long and tedious and having ‘fun’ at work is no harm, but this was un-called for and we are disappointed that we had to go through this. The addition of Wawa to our community has been something we have wanted for for a long time. We used to drive to Fredericksburg, VA. just so we could visit your store for the food and the always cheap gas prices. (This was usually just a ‘treat’ for us because it’s an hour long drive) We want to continue going to your store, but we don’t want to be subjected to this again. I feel sorry for the customer that went through this ordeal and if I was him, I wouldn’t return. Thank you for your time.

Bring back original flavors!!
I am a long time DAILY customer at the Logan Township, NJ Wawa on Center Square Road. I buy a English toffee cappuccino every morning to help me start my day. The morning employee, Erica, who takes care of the coffee area, has been telling me that they were becoming a test store for the new flavors very soon. The morning that the flavors were changed had many customers, including myself, very upset and angry! As the customer above mentioned, it nearly caused a riot with all the customers complaining! The employees handled it very well, especially Erica. Since I knew that my Wawa is now a test store, I went out of my way to stop at the Wawa off exit 18 this morning. When I went in, I then found out that they are also a test store and did not have my English toffee. I also witnessed many customers going up to the machine and walking away very angry and throwing their hands up disgusted! When I went up to the register to buy my cigarettes, I was then told that my brand, Virginia Slim Gold, is now on a list of brands that will soon no longer be carried! This was not a way to start off my Monday!! On behalf of myself and many, many customers, I can tell you now that the test going on in these stores is NOT going over well at all! Who wants to drink apple pie? And cookies and cream is for ice cream and milkshakes, not cappuccino! The new flavors are terrible! PLEASE stop the test and brink back the original flavors! You will make a lot of customers very happy by doing so. Right now you are loosing customers left and right! I wish to remain a loyal customer of yours, but can no longer until you bring back the original flavors!

This was a very popular item. Taking it away almost caused a riot in our Wawa. Your employee, Erica in the Logan Township store on Center Square Road in New Jersey was bombarded with complaints about it being gone. As always, Erica an excellent employee, so polite and hard working dealt with the complaints very professionally. However, Wawa has lost me as a customer. 7/11 continues to sell Low fat French Vanilla cappuccino and I have changed my route to work to go to 7/11 now and purchased it there. I never understand when a company does away with a popular item. I was a loyal Wawa customer for many years but that has now changed.

L could not find my app. #2 she questioned my qualification W/O my app.(Very unprofessional) ## told me to put a new app in and call her when I did.(I did it immediately on returning to my residence) I called Matt Wed.2.6/13 and told him. He advised that he would tell L. Today I called for my schedule and L ansered Wawa 191, I said who I was and asked about my schedule. She rudely spoke and said “I did not look at it. and anyway we are n ot hiring new ,because we are bringing Employees from another Wawa. but she would talk to Matt. I will talk to Matt myself. What happened to me. due to my composure and stature, was totally unprofessional and cruel. I believe that UI deseve the job and a giant apology.

On 2/3/13 I stopped at a Wawa gas station at 1505 Route 73 Pennsauken NJ. The price on the sign said $ 343.9. When I got to the gas pump the pump said $349.9. The reason I stopped at this station was because it was a Wawa station and because of the price. I could have bought gas cheaper, not far away at a different brand gas station. this is a bad way to do business. I used to buy gas at a Sunoco station, but I stopped after I caught them doing this a couple times. If Wawa wants me to continue doing business with Wawa, they should check on this bad business practice.
Thank You, John

Today, Feb 2, 2013, at about 4:30 AM I bought coffee at the Wawa on 6061 Bristal-Emilie Rd, Levittown PA. I gave the clerk a $20.00 bill. When he gave me my change back I usually count it but today I didn’t. When I got home I pulled the money from my pocket and discovered I was short $5.00. I went back to the store and told the clerk. He said I had to come back when the manager was there but I could not do that. The clerk did give me $5.00 back and I thanked him. Another clerk made a smart remark, in front of a customer, that she would make up the $5.00 difference in the register, implying that I was trying to rip off the store. That is so wrong for a clerk to treat a customer that way when I have been a steady customer.

When I was frequently flying back and forth from Tampa, FL to Lansdowne, PA and back I became familiar of WAWA and used to stop all the time. When I was no longer traveling, I really missed WAWA because I’ve never experienced such a great business: super clean stores, well-trained employees, the best customer service etc. I loved being able to go to the machine and make the sandwiches etc. exactly the way I wanted by using the touch screen. And the food was so fresh and tasty. I especially liked the turkey/cranberry/gravy/stuffing special you had around the holidays. Since 2010 I’ve told so many people about WAWA and lo and behold while driving down Dale Mabry Hwy. here in Tampa I saw a sign saying WAWA was on it’s way and the building was in progress. So now I can get my food and pick up things I need and get gas all at the same time. Oh yes – and choose from a range of fresh coffees and fix it the way I like it with nice quarts of half and half and other choices being available (not having to open those little packets). I’m telling everyone I know about this wonderful new addition to Tampa and have heard there are more being built here as well. Welcome to Tampa!!

Store Location says
Wawa should investigate the property that used to be a gas station at the corner of Cathedral and Henry Avenues in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This would be an excellent location for business. There are no convenient stores in this area.

Why doesn’t Wawa accommodate the customers with disabilities by providing an entrance for the handicapped with a door that easily opens? One door with handicapped accommodations in every store is what the persons with disabilites need. This would be very helpful. Your executives should read Section 504 of the Rehabilitaton Act.

I LIVE IN MELBOURNE FLA. I RECENTLY NOTICED A 7-11 HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS, AND IS FOR SALE. THEY JUST REMOVED THE GAS TANKS FROM THE GROUND. I THINK IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT WAWA. IT IS VERY CLOSE TO INTERSTATE 95. ALSO, THERE ARE SEVERAL LARGE BUSINESSES AROUND IT.
I CALLED WAWA, AND SPOKE TO SOMEONE, WHO ASKED ME TO CALL THEIR REALATOR, BRIAN DUKE. I HAVE CALLED MR. DUKE SEVERAL TIMES, AND HAVE LEFT MESSAGES TO RETURN MY CALL…TO NO AVAIL.
THE NAME OF THE REALATOR THAT HAS THIS AVAILABLE ” PERFECT SPOT FOR A WAWA” IS LARRY McGUIRE. YOU CAN REACH HIM AT 321-952-1262.
PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS, AS WE THE PEOPLE IN MELBOURNE, FL. WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A WAWA. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
SINCERELY, DONNA SPADARO
