Sally Hansen was an entrepreneurial woman ahead of her generation. Hansen moved to Hollywood in 1922 to pursue an acting career. She was quite popular in movies such as Beverly Smiles and Peggy Ann. She opened her own dance studio, but what she really wanted was to sell beauty products so that everyday women would feel beautiful.
Hansen began by writing advice and beauty tip columns for the Los Angeles Times newspaper. In 1940, Hansen took over her parents cosmetic firm and renamed it House of Hollywood. She owned the company independent of her husband, something which was rare at the time. Hansen returned to New York to open her cosmetic brand, starting with Hard as Nails, a nail polish designed to make growing longer nails easier.
Hansen sold her company in 1962 to Coty, Inc. for $11 million. Hansen passed away in 1963.
Sally Hansen’s nail polish remains one of the top brands of polish sold anywhere in the world. The company logo remains the same, Sally Hansen’s signature, nothing more.
In August 2020, Sally Hansen and parent company Coty teamed up with delivery service GoPuff to deliver beauty items to home or businesses within 30 minutes.

I’ve been using Sally Hansen leg make up in the tube. My friend said I should try the air brush leg makeup. I purchased the light and liked it so I purchased the medium for a more summer look. Unfortunately it has glitter in it so I purchased another can somewhere else and snd it also has glitter in it. What shade is comparable with out glitter? Also as much as I like it, I wish it didn’t have a dull finish, wish it had a little shimmer. Any ideas?

After the lockdown started and all nail salons were closed, I soaked the Dip Gel off. My nails were thin, flexible, and splitting because of ridges. (They’ve always been this way). I wanted something to help seal the edges. I bought the blue tinted Hard as Nails in the old fashioned bottle. It peeled off like cellophane the next morning and in 2 weeks it was thick leaving a string a foot long when pulling the brush out of the bottle. The brush was falling apart. I then tried the Diamond Strength and if did the same thing as far as peeling of the next day. I bought the Advance Nail Strengthener and it seemed to dry and not peel off for 3 days, but it has to be re-done in 3 days. Layering does no good. These products are frustrating. What can be done?

Your products are lovely, when and while they work, which isn’t for long!! They become useless quickly, as brushes completely fall apart, or polishes become too thick to use when barely utilized. I am so disappointed at your complete lack of beauty care for woman. Shame on you.

I’ve been using Sally Hansen products for many many years n I’ve loved them However my chief complaint is the Insta-Dri Top Coat. After 3 or 4 uses it becomes thickened and useless. It’s frustrating to have to discard it without getting full use. Please advise why this happens.

I just tried your pearly white nail polish and Im in love with it. I bought 10 bottles right after trying it. Don’t ever stop making it its the perfect white . I had a hard time finding a pearly white that was opaque they are all sheer which I hate. Yours covers perfect !!!! I would buy 10 more bottles now if I could afford to at this time. Please keep this around forever !!! Its the best and goes on so smooth and easy too.

No complaints whatsoever. I have a friend who refers to Sally Beauty Supply as Sally Hansen. I try to tell her that Sally Hansen is a BRAND of beauty products. My question is this: where is your main mfg plant located? So I can tell her that Sally Hansen is a big cosmetics corp located in ______, __, and is coincidentally sold at Sally Beauty Supply as well as many other stores.
Anyway, love your products. Thanks!

Hello,
I have written before regarding a problem I have had with your Miracle gel polish.
I am having the same problem. On three out of seven bottles the brush comes out from the wand and in one, it has completely disappeared somewhere in the polish without a trace.
The three bottles are #480 (code on back #4311, 150 (#4127), and 100 (#4308)…the top coat. This seems to be an ongoing problem. I have saved the bottles. Please tell me where I may send them for your review. I like this product but never get to use the whole bottle before this happens!

I just wanted to give you some feedback on your product (Miracle Gel). I purchased several bottles of polish and two of the clear gel coats and found that the brush in one of the bottles had split on the side and the bristles were coming out of it. I thought that since I had another bottle with a brush I could just use that one when the other bottle was finished, only to find that one of my colored gels brush did the same thing. Now this is two bottles that have the same problem, no brush that I can apply the gels with. Perhaps you could send me a couple of brushes that I can use to replace my broken ones.
