This Is It! BBQ & Seafood, known more commonly as This Is It, was founded by current CEO and owner Shelly Anthony in 1993. After working in his parents restaurants during the early part of his life, Anthony wanted to create a restaurant that was different. This Is It! operates a chain of BBQ restaurants in the state of Georgia.
The company curently has 9 locations in the greater Atlanta, Georgia, area, some of them franchises. The restaurants offer Southern style soul food, including BBQ rib tips, fried catfish nuggets, and neck bone dinners. Online ordering for pick up is available, as is catering. Customers can also request a “Food Truck”, which delivers meals to parks, businesses, and other locations.
In 2011, This Is It! was ordered to pay back wages and fines for non-compliance with state minimum wage laws, overworking minors and forcing them to late hours, as well as a lack of overtime pay. Company headquarters are located in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Normally I would say Camp Creek is my favorite location…..but to see how unorganized they are with the prepaid orders a day before Thanksgiving is ridiculous. Its raining and everyone is inside during Covid-19 which is against the CDC guidelines. There is literally a 100 people or more waiting for prepaid food. We were given a specific time to pick up when placing the order mine was 3:30 here it is 4:53 and the line has not really moved. I’m disturbed that the level of safety for people is at an ultimate low. Someone needs to be held accountable for poor planning and organizing these orders.
A friend and I dined at the location on Panola Road on 06/08/2020 for lunch. We ordered the two for 29.00 deal. We specifically asked the order taker what was Not part of the special. Of course by the time we get to the register its a different story. I feel your staff should be more knowledgeable about what’s on special. Some people are on budgets. If you advertise 2 for 29 then honor it and don’t shake the spoon or nick pick extra dollars for what should be what you advertise. It hinges on false advertisement.
I went to the this is it on old nation
The staff was unfriendly, was talking about me and my friend, the cornbread was not ready had to wait over 30 minute.it was lunch time.had to go to work.Food was bad.cabbage was salty.I will not be going back to this location.
The Fayetteville and Camp Creek locations have been my favorite stores for many, many years. The food and service has always been the very best at these two stores. On 3/22/19
I stopped at the Mount Zion store in Morrow Ga. I purchased the St Louis style rims, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The meat was not done all the way. The piece that was done taste awful. Macaroni was awful and the same for the greens. The meal cost me $17.81,I threw it in the trash because I live to far to go back. I was so disappointed in this meal after buying the same meal in Fayetteville. Morrow needs better cooks and someone to check the quality of their food. I will never go back to that location and will tell everyone I know not to go there.
