Rosati’s Pizza was founded in Chicago, Illinoi, in 1927 by Sam Rosati. The company operates a mostly franchised chain of pizza and Italian food restaurants.
The company is the second largest chain in the greater Chicago area, only just behind Portillo’s. From a single Chicago restaurant, the company has grown to more than 158 locations in 12 states and is actively expanding. The company is best known for its Chicago style, thin crust pizzas and calzones.
The company makes its own sausage from their Chicago plant and almost all items are made from scratch at each location. Rosati’s Pizza is still family owned and operated, with the great grandson of Sam Rosati operating his own location.
