Five Below History

Five Below was founded in 2002 by David Schlessinger and current CEO Tom Vellios.  The first store was located in Wayne, Pennsylvania.  Similar to the dollar store model, all Five Below stores carry items that are $5 or less.

Besides selling $5 and under items, the company also offers a unique fundraising opportunity for non-profits.  Groups can promote a special sale window for their cause and 10% of all sales are donated back to them.

After a rapid burst of growth, the company went public in 2012.

Today, Five Below has 244 stores in 18 US states.  Most stores are located in the Northeast and Midwest.

I work in a store in MO and I like the crew and Manager is great. Our store is newer but we all work as a tight team. We are all frustrated about the requirement for every cashier to take the email of every customer every time …no matter what. We have been told to even use friends and family emails that we have memorized just to fill the quota that Corporate wants us to have. Most people say no, they don’t have one (even if they are checking email on a cell phone), or do not want to give it out. After Christmas we had a lot of kids with gift cards. I will NOT ask any person under 18 for an email. Corporate just does not care. They only care about emails and they ride the managers who then have to ride us. Oh! AND our ability to get a raise is completely dependent on whether we have a high email percentage. That is good working emails that they can push daily junk mail to and tell every person to come shop every day. You do not even get the chance to choose to get a weekly email or a monthly email or just the ads. Nope. You get everything.
I am so sick of asking every single person for their email and sick of seeing the looks of anger and rude comments when I ask them.
If Five Below wants good customer relations…..redo the email crap into a reward program that they sign up for. Tie it to a phone number and just have the person type their phone in like Walgreens and then we don’t type in anything. No ask, no anger, no problems.

My advice to anyone whom work or trying to work for this shi**y a** company to please find employment else where.This company really doesn’t care about how their employees are being treated even if it’s being discriminated against because of your race it’s like the managers can do say and treat you how they want to I will not spend another cent in none of the stores a relative of mine was mistreated so badly because of his race and nothing was done about it….

I’ve worked for five below for A month and I’m putting in my “Two weeks”. Mangament doesn’t want to give me hours or train me. Also my check was not mailed to me . I’ve called and now I’m going to go up there. They’re are no breaks or lunches. I started working for this company during Christmas . Working more than 8 hours on my feet. So much theft and fishy things management do.I will be recommending family and friends not to shop there. I will be reviewing everything I possible can as negative. Might even call the hotline to help this company.

Hi I’m trying to get and explanation of as why my son was so mistreated at one of the locations in Houston Texas 10007 almeda genoa racism at its best his hours was cut all the time spoke about in Spanish and surprised the store manager Eva when he spoke up about why she was talking about him and didn’t know he knew Spanish was scheduled for an 5am-10am shift and was left outside of the work place in the darkness to have no one to show up then he calls the store manager to be told by her that she called everyone and changed the schedule but didn’t call him this is very unacceptable so it was purposely done then she called him back and told no need for him to come in she will notify him on when to return and he never got a call or new schedule try calling her manager but no answer also texted him no reply so I guess this company promotes racism I’m going to speak with an lawyer about this matter

I also want to know how a company can place people on call and expect them to sit anywhere from 4 to 8 hours on a shift and not get paid and not go anywhere and not do anything this is unfair and unjust as I do not understand this system but here in Fort Wayne Indiana’s the only story here and I am going to tell you I have video and voice recordings on how this manager speaks to people act towards customers acts towards me and act towards the other employees enough is enough things need to be worked out I am seeking legal advice because this treatment is unfair I have reached tried to reach out to the CEO and have gotten nowhere with him at all nobody will allow me to speak to him or emailing so I can let him know how his company is being run out of state if I need to I can post videos on the internet and maybe that will wake them up also how can you fire a woman whose mother-in-law had passed away and she did call and she was also told she didn’t need to call in every day well instead of taking her in the back room and firing her and discussing it with her she decided to fire her at the cash register in front of customers and everyone that is not management material

I work at the store in Bradley Illlinois, since my GM has come back from leave it has been pure chaos. We have employees putting in two weeks notice or seeking employment elsewhere. She refers to herself as “the bitch” but in reality it’s her laziness that is causing people to quit. When she was gone the store ran perfectly. Everyone was happy and customers enjoyed shopping here, but now customers make comments that she on the phone with personal phone calls. During the holiday season, she spent her time in the office while we struggled to cover the registers and the floor. I would call the employee hotline but if Mary recognizing your voice she’ll tell Heather so what good is that? I’m tired of the silliness and want the store to return back to the way it was…..when everyone including management worked. Heather claims that she’s delegating tasks, but how much delegating can you do while eating and talking on the phone. Please take care of this issue.

I know the feeling I understand what you’re going through because when I was hired in at 5 below but my boss was very nice and very generous and then when corporate messed up my paycheck and it took them almost six weeks to pay me I have been treated unfairly mean unruly by the manager and I’ve also been left that store 3 times now in tears the customers complain about her all the time they do hate coming in there when she’s there the other employees complain about it in fact I know of three of them that are leaving I don’t understand how these people can get these jobs and people like us who deserve these jobs cannot have these jobs I have been a cashier for 30 years I was also an assistant manager for several places I have never ever dreamt of treating my employees the way that we. We have had a line before and she has told us to her face do not push the button do not call her for any reason whatsoever that we needed to handle it I do not understand what’s going on with her but my advice would be to seek an attorney who deals in this case is because this is unfair when she is gone and everybody laughs and they carry on and they have good old time when she is present it everybody is on edge and afraid to push the button or even go back and get her this is unfair and unruly treatment I do have a video of her actions and I will be using this video because this is not appropriate behavior from a woman who claims to be a Christian I am from Fort Wayne Indiana thank you. I don’t even believe this company reads these comments or cares as long as they can have people working for little to no money and have their hours cut and do whatever they’ve got to do

I just left you toledo ohio location and it was horrible. It literally looks like a trash mob came through and trashed there store. I have never seen a store like this!! This is an extremely bad way to present your stores. They just opened which means they left the store like that last night. I have run plenty of stores in my working career and I would have been automatically fired for my store look like that!! TERRIBLE!!!

No one wants to answer, no one wants to give me info. This company is a joke. 2 people in a payroll department with thousands of people who need paid. Thats why people aren’t receiving paychecks.

I worked at Five Below in Cincinnati, Ohio. This company sucks! They owe me back pay and I haven’t seen it yet! Can’t help that they only have 2 people in payroll, hire more people for that position!! Trying to get a hold of someone from corporate is a joke! They don’t answer the phone or return your phone call. The GM and DM won’t respond to my texts now either! Everyone who Five Below owes money to needs to file a complaint to Dept. Of Labor!!

I worked at a Five Below in Columbia Sc. It was cool at first but then I learned that my manager at the time was a very mean individual with the way he treated and talked to some of his associates. Before I resigned, I was never at work because I was never on the schedule. I got the job because I thought I would have a consistent schedule like a normal job. And I was on freight crew not makin enough money at all. My main problem right now is that I have still not recieved My last paper paycheck. I brought it to Mitch, the managers attention and he pretty much ignored what I was saying. I guess mad at me because I quit. I have been trying to contact corporate to get My last paycheck or I will have to just make it a bigger deal.

I use to work at the five below in Newark Delaware 121 the store management is BEYOND terrible i dont know where to start . The male manager Ben talks down on everyone, and if you ask a question he talks to you like your dumb. He’s always in a rush & pushing people around & doesnt take mistakes into consideration. Michele & Tiffiany the female managers are horribly rude they get smart alll day long & Tiffiany is always on her phone doing the same things employees get yelled at for . Michele is always sitting down doing nothing but demanding not managing. Last were always stocking with no room what so ever in the store no room on shelves which means things fall & ‘more work to clean . From the Looks of these comments FIVE BELOW NEEDS TO HAVE WORLD WIDE ADJUSTMENTS!!!

I started a position at the Woodbridge Nj store as a key. I just feel like the Store Manager is rude and unpleasant. I understand you have to run a store but there’s better ways in doing that. Not everyone is going to take the way you talk to them. For one I am not that person. I was not pleased with the experience and I have been a Store Manager before and I would never treat my employees that way and i just feel as though every employee is afraid of her. Not me..I will not take rudeness from anyone to have a job. I still have not received my pay check and they got paid a week ago. Now I am really pissed!

So my name is yahira but everyone called me yari I was a fright shift leader and key holder at the Milford Connecticut store I recently resigned because of my store manager she wanted everything to be done at a. Certain Time so if we came in @5am to 10 am she wanted ever thing to be done by ten ok that fine but if u only have 2 people working how do u want use to do 5 or 6. Pallet she alwayas make sure she has a full staff when she working but she did not care to do the same with me and any of the managers on duty It not like when she was there she did anything all she did is b in the back all day and eat or b on her phone like u told u I had to open one day and it was me and 2 new people what was I going to do on a sat morning with to New people that cant b on regester she got 4 New people to work with me but one of them was. No good for nothing because whilewe did 10 boxes he was only on 2 the other one was working perfectly he found a another job and she was still put him on the schedule even though she knew he was not coming in at 5 in the morning and didn’t tell me anything and then expected me and one more person to do 7 pallets in four hours which is not even it’s just not even right that she would get mad because half of the stuff was not done but with two people for hours no way we were going to get 7 pallets done there’s so many complaints about this manager at the Milford store by her own employees if anybody ever needed her she would never pick up her phone but she was too busy doing something else so I got tired and I decided to resign I love the company I will work for it again just not as her as my manager the only time she wanted to be at the store was when r boss Jeff email that he was going to be in the store that morning she would have everybody be at the store and we can show this to look clean and say someone else did something and just noticed that she will take the credit for it even though she didn’t do it she’s had a lot of people work and quit on her the same day just because they know how she is there’s a lot of people who are working there now at this moment and everything why they don’t leave is because they have no other job but if it was up to them and they had another job she would be in the store by herself it’s unfortunate because the store is nice and I love to working there but when you have a manager who only thinks about herself and doesn’t care about anybody else is really tough to work in an environment like that I would really love for Tom to see this message because this note for store needs a change and it needs to come soon she does not want to talk to anybody if she got into a confrontation with them she will be spiteful and cut your hours she wouldn’t even speak to you you would have to figure out what you needed to do and I just don’t understand how Corporate or any other big bosses c this like I said I would love to work for your company again just not with her

I’m so upset. I was at the new store in Valley Stream, Green Acres Mall, NY. I was called for an interview today, I arrived at the store a little early. Then I spoke to the manager, who then told me to come back at my scheduled time. I came back at my scheduled time, which was 4:20pm. I told one of the cashiers I was back for interview and she went back to go get the manager. Then the same lady came back, grabbed a clipboard, and proceeded to tell me that she (the cashier) was conducting the interview, on the sales floor, in front of customers. She then asked me my availability and why I wanted to work at the store. After I gave my response she(the cashier) told me that they’d lost my application and that I had to do another 1. After that was said, the manager comes from the back. By then I felt so disrespected, felt that the store was unprofessional, and proceeded to tell the ladies thanks for their time and left the store. My time was totally wasted.

My daughter went in for the walk in interviews today at the Douglasville Ga location. First the manager was rude because she didn’t want to start interviews until 3pm even though online it states 2pm. She stood at the front of an empty store for 15mins before she even spoke to us!!! Very unprofessional and the look on her face proved she was not interested in talking to my daughter. Finally she walked over and asked for her resume.. I told her she is only 17 and this would be her first job so I’m not sure what would go on the resume. She rudely told me it would be “basic” information and refused to even interview my daughter. I spent a LOT of money In this store with our 7 children! Almost all of their bday & Christmas presents came from 5below plus we used your store as a reward.. Notice I put spent! I refuse to spend my money in a store that has employees who speak so rudely to others!

I was a recent assistant manager at the rim I. San Antonio. My gm went out on medical leave and a mitt came in to run the store after leaving me fend fir myself for over a month with only a few employees and me being only 90 days into this horrible company. I was lied to and written up for things I did not do I was a very dedicated employee who saw some wrong things going on and I could never get the DM to listen or even care to marcelino care never took the time to hear my side and I was fired for sending false surveys. Mind you I never sent a false survey. This company is the worst when it cones to consistency they documented me for a list key but at another store it happened and nothing got done so there is favoritism and prejudice going on in filing with the labor board and will win this battle

I am blind my wife uses crutches we wanted to try on some shower shoes. We asked for a chair for her to sit on and we were asked to leave. We went to Walmart and got a pair of shoes. Shame on you for not serving people with disabilities.

I came to five below located at 3632 concord Pike wilmington Delaware. Store manager
was rude with my special need son. 2017 & still ignorance in the community about autism: Went to the store five below. My son is into shaking paper. He came to the store with paper and i guess he saw a nice white paper in the register and decided to grab it and switch papers. My eyes are between 2 kids so did not realize he took that paper. I notice security following us and special to my son .5 minutes in the store this employee approach my son with a nasty look and nasty body language. My son off course ignore him and turn his back. I said yes Sr. He said I need that paper back now. I said sorry here is u paper he left furious. I asked to speak with the store manager and guess what he was the manager. Went My son took that paper manager told the security to follow My son he was guessing he may steal items👿 I said to the security please do me a favor tell the manager my son has autism and was not need to be so ugly and overreacting about a piece of paper. I hope and pray that people like him have more kindness and heart with individuals with disabilities.😢 I will not be shopping at five below.

My Granddaughter worked for the 5 and below in Mansfield, noticed I said WORKED. She was in the store for 2 months. She had a manager make fun of her openly, correcting her speech, making fun of her for the way she would say word’s. I don’t know about any of you but you don’t do that to someone in the work field for the first time. My granddaughter was bashful and she learned she had to speak with the public and she did it! She was lied on by the same person. Five and Below manager’s don’t care about the people working as a cashier they want to look important. I have already started to let people know about this and I hope to make it rough for them to make a profit.

I shopped at this store 2 weeks ago and went back last week due to noticing on my bank account I was charged twice an employee and the manager took my name and number they said I would get a call the following day. And here it is three days later and have not heard anything. I will never go back

After reading the comments from Augustine I would like to also add that something similar happened. After being at the store for a year and a half , I too am experiencing some issues with the scheduling of hours. Since I am stepping down as a key holder, I was told by Randi Parsons, the manager, that I would not be getting at least 20 hours a week. She told me 3 TIMES that she has a girl in high school that needs at least 15 to graduate.WHAT??? I told her this is real life and that I need those hours to pay my bills and mortgage. She flippantly told me to do what I needed to. I see that we have a girl who was hired as seasonal,but yet she is receiving more hours that the other associates who have been there longer. It has really opened my eyes about this company that i currently work for. I am sure there will be backlash as to these comments.

i am currently employed at your State College Pa. store#157. The East coast has known about this snow storm for a whole week. Last nite I had the asst. manager, Talia Johnson, text me at 9:30 and asked that I call her. I did and she asked if I could open the store in the morning, since I only have 23.5 hours. I replied no and before I could say anything else was rudely HUNG UP on.When I texted her back and told her that was no way for an asst. manager to speak to an associate/key holder. She replied that she was pissed off and that I would not like what she had to say. And did I realize that she had to drive 45 minutes in inclement weather to open if myself or the other key holder did not come in? I replied that it was my day OFF and I was NOT scheduled to work, I have plans. This is just one more reason that I am stepping down as key holder.My work record speaks for itself. I am ALWAYS on time and ready to work. The only time I was late, I witnessed an accident and the called to let them know I would be 15 minutes late to speak with the officer at the scene. In the year that I worked, I only missed one week and that was because I had to go to the hospital with my illness.I have come to realize that this company could care less about its employees. I have a disability that keeps me from performing my job duties, even thought I try my best and give 120% each and everytime I am scheduled. I feel as though I am being pushed to do more. When I was hired I made it known about my injury, so if I could not do it, why was I made a key holder? It seems as though as soon as I gave them my doctors orders, they seemed to have a issue with it. They know that I can only work so many hours, so why would I be asked to work more? Even though I said I couldn’t work more than 6 hours a day, they still pushed it. I have come to realize that this company isn’t that concerned about employees, just the almighty dollar.

I run a group home for mentally and physically disabled adults We take our people to the Manchester, Ct. store and they are chaperoned throughout their shopping trip. On a recent trip one of our disabled charges accidentally knocked over some boxes of toys that were piled on the floor. One of the employees walked over and called him stupid and went on a rant. This was totally uncalled for and you can visually tell our client has multiple disabilities. The chaperon asked the cashier to speak to a manager and it turned out the offensive woman was the manager. This older woman seemed to be physically disabled herself and should know better than to use the word “stupid” to anyone facing challenges. This type of intolerance is astounding and after calling the store many times to speak to someone in charge I was hung up on. We will never return to this location and frankly, neither should anyone else. Five Below should not entertain this type of ignorance as I can only imagine the lawsuits that may start to roll in. Your treatment of the disabled is appalling and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I wonder if some bad press in local media outlets will bring you to your senses.

Also I just remembered that when manager Tasha netashia, said those cutting down discouraging belittling words to your employes , there also standing at two different times was the GM, Krystal, crystal tashia manager, and she heard and just laughed it off, at the embarrassment of some of your new employes , this was really bad and awkward to be near and very unprofessional , please fix these problems and protect your new employes . I nor them should experience any back lash for telling to truth , the managers should come forth and tell the truth and even be fired or demoted to the entry level and go away from your new store , that they don’t care about and have started making a mess for you the owners. New much better trained and respectful real leaders are needed there at your new store in salisbury, nc, and on a good note I and many of my family and friends like your other stores and products and prices and concept good job and hopefully all your new locations will be a big success . Thank you for taking care of this and the other comments that seem similar below. Looking forward to a better experience at your store in near future , next time I shop there this week . This past weekend , your company opened a new store in Salis, NC, there was some very disturbing things that took place while I was in the store shopping,, a lady who I was told, was a manager of your company, going by the name Tasha, or Nateshia , I heard her same some very belittling rude un professional not nessary words to a couple of your store employees and embarrassed them in front of a bunch of your customers, I hope the new young employes feel comfortable with telling you at corporate what is going on there, with out feeling there would be a back lash, for being honest about your leadership in that store In salisbury nc. , then if that was not enough , I then spoke to my neihbor who is the district manager for a large retail comp. and his son started working for your company in salisbury this weekend and he said that a assistant manager daytria Datria,, cursed at some of the employes using the F… Word several times at workers under her at time when there was no other store leaders there , just after customers left and the store door was locked , while cleaning up, she called them the F… Word , several times out loud , several witnesses, that is very very very wrong and they may take it to proper authorities.

WE WENT INTO THE NEWNAN GEORGIA STORE TO GET AN ADVERTIZED ITEM. NONE WERE IN STOCK BUT ANOTHER SHIPMENT WOULD BE ARRIVING IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THE GM BOB OFFERED TO CALL US WHEN THE ITEM WAS AVAILABLE. HE CALLED US AND PUT THE ITEMS IN HIS OFFICE WHEN WE TOLD HIM WE COULD COME BY THE NEXT DAY. THIS WAS THE BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. HOPE ALL STORES HAVE AS GREAT A GM AS BOB WAS.

my experience here was the worst .I have been working on sales and customer service for over 13 yrs and never seen anything like this. to start off management is not professional , no one care of filling out direct deposit info for employees so the first week of pay period everyone had a bad experience because they did not get paid for their hard work on time because of store managers negligence , they didn’t even know if they was going to get paid on pay card , check or direct deposit. who does that?! what kind of manager does not know anything about their employees working hrs and pay?! this was my first red flag but I understand mistakes can happen . second pay period same thing all over again even tho I had given the store manager my direct deposit info on orientation day I still had to wait to get my check on the mail on Saturday. Every time I asked management they gave me the run around and blatantly tell me ” oh just wait for it today or tomorrow” to hear that was very offensive to me being that I showed up to work on time every day and never called out I even showed up to work if they needed me on my days off. the reason why they didn’t care is because they had come from another store and they payroll info was already in 5 below system and they got paid in time. managers had names for employees , like special ( not that way you would think ) lol , fuck tard, and other names , I felt like wow I can only image the kind of stuff they gonna talk about me as soon as I leave this room. I didn’t care anyways but it made me feel uncomfortable to work at a place like this, in the real life we all think of things like these but we keep it to our self because we know how to be professional and not a scum bag. The store manager even told me ” Oh don’t worry about it I schedule the ppl I like to work with me so the ones I don’t like I don’t have to see them” .” Don’t worry you work hard so you are good’ and the next week I show up to not having any hrs on my schedule even tho I had checked that schedule two days prior and I had 9 hrs for that wk only worked one shift and then they took off the other day I was supposed to work off the schedule without letting me know. Management , key holders and back of the house staff gets all the hrs every one else gets 4 to 9 hrs wkly if they are available. I wish someone would have told me this when I applied for the job because I was looking for something long term and not a temp job. I end up quitting this job because they don’t know how to run their team and lack of professionalism. Opening day we had ppl come from home office and they was talking about each others behind their back. a customer got the $100 dollar scratch off and one of the guys from home office said ” Why couldnt it been a $20 one instead?! I was like ?!! really??!! Are you that Fck### cheap. If that was such a big issue they should have not given those out in the 1st place. overall stay away from 5 below career wise. they only use ppl to open their stores and then give you no hrs so you are forced to quit and not have to pay out unemployment.

5 below is the worst company ever. The store Schaumburg store has a 50 ur old manager who only speaks of being a stopper in her 20’s and having 3somes with men and women. I was discriminated against for being sick and the assistant manager hired 2 family members at the same location which is clearly against the company policy and is in the Five Below handbook but she still there as well as their family members. none of the stores have cameras so people are free to steal and do whatever they like.corporate doesn’t even step in to enforce the rules that they have set in their handbook.I am currently speaking with an employment lawyer and they have made me aware of all sorts of violations that they are doing and from what I see on this site there are several complaints about many other five below stores this is a company that will not make it because they do not know how to treat people I don’t recommend shopping there even if the store was called a dollar below the people are horrible

I did a fundraiser in May of 2014-and (stupidly) in Novemeber of 2014. The checks have not been sent to mychurch0employees/manager Ava (brentwood TN store) will not call me back-maybe once after I called the regional manager brian diddy. She was “looking into it”. Its Feb. 19th 2015. Really? No one will even tell me how much we made-2 fundraisers and the only one who made any money is five below!!!!!

The Cummings Ga store, employees at that store are getting wrote up for no reason, plus employees are going to back room to sit there watching videos in their phones while they leave one employee to a full store, plus when help is need bell gets rung nobody shows up for at least up to 5 to more minutes which makes cashier look bad because they have to keep apologizing to customers and managers are doing this too, yall need to send someone to act as customer to see whats going on, a CALL IS NOT GOING TO DO GOOD, BECAUSE THEY WILL LIE, SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHOW UP, plus this store seems to have bad ratings, its time to make a change for this store

While shopping in your Columbia location a man exposed himself to my children . Due to the fact that there are NO cameras in this store police told me this man would probably not be caught. This has affected my children in a very negative way. I will be consulting with a lawyer on this matter. Please email me back. Something needs to be done so this does not happen again.

I was in your Cherry Hill, NJ store today at 7:15pm buying things for school and there was a chipmunk crawling around the store. The chipmunk was crawling through EVERYTHING!!! The clothes, the laptop pillows and all. It was very disgusting. The employees noticed the customers reactions, screams and all but did not seem to care at all. One of the store employees said that it has been in there majority of the day. Also, she said that if it is still in the store for 2 more days that she will call animal control to pick it up and an exterminator. I believe it must have came from the pet store next door or from the trees near there. It was very disgusting and not safe. I hope Five Below does something about it.

I would like to say five below is not a cheap dollar store…they have a lot of nice things for cheap..I was just at the Kennedy plaza store in chicago with my friend first timers..and I was amazed.. there CUSTOMER service was Excellent and the store manager should have been in marketing…because I purchased 300 book bags for a little of nothing..normally you never see managers out working and being a team player…..Period. I asked if he wanted to come work for me..Greg EXCELLENT hire… way to go five below.

I set up a fund raiser with one of your Springfield stores in New Jersey and spoke to a manager named eddie eventually I never received the check that was promised to me I am very upset because the manager keeps giving me the runaround this fundraiser was for children with cerebral palsy and they keep telling me That check was sent out that was four months ago can someone please help us thank you

I was sent a coupon via email for the store in Portage, MI. it was $5.00 off if you spent $25 or more. When I went to use the coupon I was told five below does not take coupons at all ever. It was disappointing. I have unsubscribed from your email list.

I am a big fan of 5 below and love the store and shopping there especially for the kids. Lately I have bought 3 different pairs of earphones and on each one only one side is working. I am a dialysis patient and during my 4 hour treatment we can look at T.V but must have earphones. Its a little disappointing to purchase something three times thinking the next item would be working correctly and it’s not. As I stated earlier I love this store and will continue shopping there I just ask if possible to provide a better quality of item. Thank you!

I visited your Five Below store in Rockwall, TX and got a receipt that told me to go to register to win $100.00 gift card by taking an online survey. Site was http://www.fivebelowsurvey.com. I did this & there are several sites which say they will take the survey, but which one? Please email me with the correct one as I have not found 1 that seems legitimate. To whom it may concern:
I shopped at your store yesterday, at the LIncoln Mall Site in Rhode Island.
The store number is #412 and it was around 11:00 A.M.
While shopping I picked up two pencil cases from the display that was marked all for $1.00. I understand that other displays had various prices ranging from $1.00 to $3.00.
An employee I assume had mistakenly placed the box of pencil cases on the wrong table as they were suppose to be $3.00.
I didn’t realize this until I reached the cashier who rang them in as $3.00. I told her I thought they were $1.00 and she came with me to the display. She said they were really $3.00 but since they were on that table she’d ask the manager what to do.
Well the assistant manager came out removed the box said they were $3.00 and that was the end of discussion. I tried to tell her that because some one left them on the wrong display she would have to give them to me for $1.00 each, but she refused.
I than asked for her business card and she told me she didn’t have one. I asked for her name and she said. “Linda”. She would not give me her last name.
I have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and shop at your store on a regular basis. As you can see I’m only talking about $4.00 here but to me it’s the principle of the matter.
I didn’t purchase the pencil boxes and I won’t return to your store to shop because I believe I was treated unfairly and by law I should have received the boxes for a dollar each. In this day and age I shop where I’m treated with the proper respect.
If your management team has this attitude I wish you well as a corporation.
I must say that the cashier, her name is Shelia, was very considerate and helpful.
I think she was upset with the assistant manager but could not say anything.
Do not expect me to patronize your store in the future. I thought you should be told of this situation.

I HAVE SHOPPED AT FIVE BELOW NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE BALTIMORE AREA AND WAS HAPPY TO SEE FIVE BELOW OPEN IN SALISBURY, OR SO I THOUGHT. AFTER SHOPPING AT SALISBURY LOCATIONS A FEW TIMES I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS LOCATION OR ANY OTHERS IF THIS IS THE NORM NOW FOR THIS COMPANY. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS STORE MNGRS, AT LEAST I THINK CONSISTANTLY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS, JASON AND KELLY. NOT THE NORM FOR MOST STORES OR EMPLOYEE (MANAGEMENT) IN A STRUGGLING ECONOMY. I WILL DO MY BEST TO HELP SPREAD THE WORD. DO NOT SHOP AT FIVE BELOW!!!! CUSTOMERS TREATED MUCH BETTER AT WALMART AND DOLLAR STORE. ALSO OVERHEAD HOW MANGERS SPEAK TO EMPLOYEES, NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL..

Ponder on this idea.

I purchase video game left the Store with my receipt went into Walmart next. I didn’t drop the game in my car instead proceed walking into the doors. The alarm went off. I wasn’t worried I had my receipt from you. If they had problems I bought from five below. What is your take on my idea? You don’t have anything disarm the security on the game. Image walking from five below entering in Target, Best Buy other stores. What would happen? I’m passing my thoughts onto you. Please respond back to me decision you make. I would be interesting your decision.
