Daily Harvest was founded by Rachel Drori in 2014.
The company operates a subscription-based food delivery service intended to offer healthy, plant based frozen foods. The company delivers food and beverages that are developed by nutritionists and include items such as smoothies, soups, bowls, lattes, and breakfast options, enabling health-conscious subscribers to eat pre-portioned foods without having to cook.
The company released a study, published in January 2020, that at least 72% of Americans admit that they do not eat a fresh fruit or vegetable every day.
Daily Harvest wants to change that by offering easy to heat or defrost frozen fruit and veggie options.
While these meals are very nutritious, they aren’t designed to live off of, which means most people will still need to visit their local grocery store. The company has also been criticized for the price of their packages, as well as the fact that not all of the packaging is recyclable.
Daily Harvest maintains a corporate office in New York, New York.

My wife and I have been going to our local Daily Harvest for several years now and today we had the worst service ever. When we went into the restaurant we were told to find anyplace to sit because we were dining in. We waited for over 10 minutes and no one came to take our order. My wife saw another table, who came in 10 minutes after us, being waited on. So I went to the counter and said we had been waiting and didn’t understand why another party was put ahead of us. Well, when the server (Grant E) came to our table he was attempting to make excuses which I refused to accept. From that moment on, even at the time of delivering our bill, when he didn’t say, “Thank you for coming;” the waiter was very rude to us. He actually just forcefully put our plates and silverware on the table. This is uncalled for. I guess your establishments don’t teach the servers to be cordial to the patrons and that the customer is supposed to come first. At this point, I am not sure I want to return to this establishment. By the way, I left over 20% for the tip.

Daily Harvest had a sponser spot for the Hallmark movie Mixup in Mediterranean. Hallmark has had increasing pressure to include alternat lifestyle partners, and I know they have that right. I also have the right to discontinue Hallmark from my favorites list. Where you choose to sponser is also your right, as is mine to choose other products.
