Russian immigrant Simon Farber began S.W.Farber company in 1897 when he began making gift racks and trays. The company became official in 1900. Farber began selling matchsticks, later moving to Brooklyn and manufactured a clamp-on light.
Everything changed in 1944 when the company moved to the Bronx and began manufacturing stainless steel pots and pans they called Farberware. During WWII the company made small arms for the government. Simon’s nephew, Sam Farber, joined the company after serving his time in the war.
By 1995, Farberware was one of the largest producers of stainless steel cookware in the US.
Today, the company makes and sells a variety of kitchen and cookware. The Neat Nest Stacking Nonstick Frying Pan was labeled as excellent by Consumer Reports in January 2020.

Need to make there products in the USA where farberwear was founded.I had bought a very nice knife set and 2 od the knives broke after just 3 months. I am very disappointed, I love farberwear, I have a indoor rotisserie grill that is about 50 years old it still works except for the motor on the rotisserie. But I still use the grill and love it. Please please bring the business back to the USA so they are made rings and with pride..

Your coffee pots are not made well anymore that is because they are made in china. I have one that was made when you were in the Bronx-it is still very good. I just bought a 4 cup pot; the stem was not made well. The metal is not polished and one can get a cut from it. Thank God I keep parts frrom other pots that did not last long. That is another problem-these pots do not last long. The handle always cracks.
Find another manufacturer for your coffee pots, preferably in the USA!

I Find the Knives have been well made, However the handles are not. A Knife is only as good as its handle. The middle piece of the knife is made from cheap plastic and breaks and cracks after 2 years. The blade is so loose i cannot cut bread with it. All of the Knives have become brittle and broken in the middle of the handle so I will have to look for Knives with Metal or wood handles.

Hello my name is Joe Medina I purchased a farberware knife set with sharpener from Wal mart, I have had it for 30 day and they are showing signs of rusting. Im very disappointed in this because I alway trusted in your brand so I never needed to hold on to recipe but I am sad that I didn’t…

After several issues with products from this company I did some research. This is not the original Farberware we knew and trusted. It was sold in 1993. The new owners are Syratech Corporation in Boston. They should be put out of business for selling such crappy stuff and never getting back to you.

I just purchased a set of Farberware Power Base Flat Black pots. I cooked with them for the first time and this thick sticky coating appeared all over the bottom of my pots. I cannot get it to come off, i have tried a degreaser product, white vinegar and baking soda, soap and water, soaking them. They are beautiful pots too. Can someone help me figure out how to remove the sticky residue that formed and tell me why that happened. I have a brand new stove that i cooked on as well.

To Whom It May Concern:
I received a Farberware 2-4 cup coffeemaker as a gift. It was lovely. Then, one day I left it plugged in for a long, long time. The inside of the pot turned brown. And there was always black murk at the bottom of a cup of coffee.
So, I purchased a new2-4 cup pot at Macy’s. I always unplugged it as soon as the brew cycle was done. However, there is always black murk at the bottom of every single cup of coffee. It is so unpleasant to see. I cannot serve anyone any coffee.
In addition, when trying to open the top, which was stuck tight for some unexplainable reason, I sliced my middle finger on the spout. It bled profusely and I thought i’d need stitches.
Gentlemen, please do something!!! Your coffeepot is not longer a good and useful item for me.
Please advise.
Btw, I can send you a photo of my sliced middle finger.
Sincerely,
Jill Pfeiffer

I purchased a cheese slicer recently. After having one that lasted for years I was in Walmart and checked out the slicers. I saw Farberware and thought this should be good. WRONG! The slicer doesn’t slice smoothly and the wire wants to bend all the time. Not happy with your product. I’ve had a lot of Farberware before and was very pleased.

One of the few good things I got out of my divorce in 1987 was my wedding gift (1/1984) from my mother – a set of Faberware Pots and Pans with glass lids. They had the copper bottoms and were stainless steel. I still use them to this day, nearly every day – nearly 37 years later. My late husband burned food into the base of the 3qt. pan and the frying pan to the point where we couldn’t salvage them. I go to the store all the time thinking that I am going to replace them. Nope – all of the pots and pans now seem cheap and cheesy. Just wanted you to know that at least in 1984 – your products were awesome!

I have been a loyal customer of everything Farberware since I bought my first home….my parents and their parents as well. I have become discouraged, not so much with your products, but with the customer service. I was given an address to send a percolator, at my own expense, for a replacement. Nothing happened for a few months. Considering the pandemic, I wasn’t too worried. I sent an email and was told that they hadn’t received the item. I had already spoken to the company and was told that in fact it was received. To save time, the end result is that they did not replace it. They in fact ruined it further to the point that a simple cord replacement was no longer possible. The black base was not only dented, but part of it was missing. After the purchase price and the $12 to return it, I threw it in the garbage. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another. That was my fifth one in 24 years…and my last.

To whom it concerns: I’ve been wanting to let you know my husband bought me a set of Farberware cook wear almost 50 years ago. and I still use it today! It is still almost like new . I’ve lost a lid And there’s a small dent on one of the pans but for using it for 50 years I just want you to know we have considered it one of the best investments we’ve ever made. We were a young married couple on a limited income at the time and bought the set to help out a friend who was selling it. It was a big expense for us at the time .In a day and age where complaints are popular, I just wanted to share this with you. Love how well the cook wear has held up all these years and have recommended Farberware to family and friends over the years.. an old and very satisfied customer!! Thank you

We purchased a Faberware microwave (model FM013AHTBSE) around 2 years ago. The light bulb inside is flickering and goes off and on. I called your customer care line for microwaves (877-648-5973). I was told that if the lightbulb goes, you have to buy a new microwave – It is not serviceable.
This is outrageous. I would never again buy another Faberware product. This is planned obsolescence to improve your bottom line and screw your customers. TERRIBLE!
