Beef O'Brady's Executives

CEO: Chris Elliott
CFO: Jim Welling
COO: Dave Risner

Beef O’Brady’s was founded by Jim Mellody in Brandon, Florida, in 1985. Mellody wanted to create a restaurant with an Irish pub feel, but one that was geared towards family. After several tries, Mellody created the no-liquor, Beef O’Brady’s.

In 1998, Melody sold the majority of the business to Family Sports Concepts, Inc. After Mellody passed away in 2002, his daughter sold all remaining locations, with the exception of the original restaurant.

Today, the company has 150 locations, most of them franchised, in the Southern states and Florida. Beef O’Brady’s is headquarters in Tampa, Florida. Several locations were recently shut down due to insect infestation, but the company is assuring its customers that they are confident that exterminators have taken care of the problem.

In August 2020, the parent company of Beef O’Brady’s decided to jump on the chicken bandwagon with The Hatchery. Constuction on new locations will occur in mid to late 2021.

Just had the worst experience at north dale beef o’Brady’s in my life. I have a group of men we meet for lunch every Monday. We have 5 different restaurants we use Beef O’Bradys being one. Okay the five of us ordered our food and the waitress brought 4 meals out and explained mine would take a little longer. This was okay but I still did not have my food and my friends had finished their meal. I asked to see a manager and was told he was on phone for business. I was delivered my food but by then I was upset as the manager Jeremy was still on phone. He finally came by and said what can I do for you! I cannot believe that a phone call is more important than customer service. He was looking at me and smiling the entire time he was on phone. Bad customer service! Tampa, Fl.

Had dinner at Sun City Center location on Wednesday, February 10th. Order took 40 minutes to get to our table, food was luke warm, did not asked to be reheated as we were afraid how long it would take. Took my unfinished hamburger home. On Thursday night 2/11 reheated my 1/2 hamburger and fries. One bite into hamburger and in my mouth pulled a 10-12 inch piece of grayish hair out of my mouth (if I could post a picture I would). Live by myself and have very short hair. Through rest of hamburger and fries out. You have a problem in kitchen of SunCity Beef O’Brady’s. Very disappointed and disgusted.

The kitchen is disgusting workers selling drugs in back parking lot. Then lost paychecks for employees. Then owner will not get on phone to talk to you.

Good morning, My wife and I ordered takeout last evening fairly unsuccessfully at this location. Now I have been in customer service for roughly 40 years so I tend to notice customer service a little more than an average person. My wife generally tells me to stop it but I insist that I am only recognizing the obvious simple things that should be taking place. Anyway my wife calls in an order, I hear the order being placed for 2 sante-fe salads with specific salad dressings. She said she put the order in my name and said it sounded like the person might be sick. I drive about 8-10 minutes to pick up the order and return home only to find Mediterranean salads in the bag. Common sense would put together the dressings would not be so great with a Mediterranean salad. We make the call to the restaurant and she says she is sorry and offered to make the correct salads. That is all we wanted but it was an inconvenience to me the person who traveled to get the salad. I return to the restaurant, she recognizes me and tells me she has my salads. She brings them to me and I ask if she needs this little receipt of the original order. She takes it from me and as she is walking away says I don’t think there is a difference between the cost of the 2 salads. She obviously has never received any training in how to handle these situations but to at least think about the customers feelings. I was insulted that she was even considering charging me if there was a difference after all this was not my fault. I was actually a kind customer waiting to see how my customer experience is going to playout. The end of the conversation she came back to me to give me back the original receipt and tell me I should be good to go…and have a good evening. It was great to know I was good to go because I would not have known I was free to go. Have they been trained to know they can make their own call on a customer situation? Have they been trained to know that offering a good will gesture of maybe a desert or small token of appreciation. Maybe a coupon for a percentage off of our next visit to keep their customer coming back…that’s called repeat business. I am not looking for a freeby and I will still order the SanteFe salad but I did want to bring this to your attention. I believe we are at a point in the service industry that if we do not teach customer service then we really shouldn’t wonder our business failed in the big town Granger, Indiana… and god forbid that it does not happen in everyone of your restaurants across the country which could cause a failure to the whole company and for what? being nice to people because we want to not because our owners make us!

I often go to the Beefs in my area, the manager is a super guy but here are a few of my thoughts, Beefs is a sports bar and grill primarily and to take items off the menu such as wings and things and add steaks and salmon and pork chops is not a good decision from my point of view, if I want steak I go to a steak house, if I want salmon I go to seafood place, but when I go to Beefs I want good appetizers and plenty of Wings and Things. Thank you, will continue to go to Beefs but not for steak and Salmon.
