My wife and I visited the YardHouse in San Jose, CA. It was my birthday and I love YardHouse, but unfortunately we had a horrible experience at this location. We sat at the bar and the bartender we had was the worst. She literally slammed the menus towards us and she kept disappearing. We kept asking for service from other servers. As we sitting were sitting trying to enjoy our last drinks the manager Jamie started making a drink for someone else and ends up spraying me with the soda drink sprayer. We were already done with this place but we had to use the restroom and OMG. If we had used the restroom first we would have never ate there. It was absolutely disgusting. When you walk in there was absorbent salts in bags on the floor when you first walk in. The floor had obviously not been properly cleaned in a long time. By far the worst restroom I’ve ever been at. I took the survey. They had my email and phone number to call me back from that location. And, when this manager Jamie called me. It was another horrible experience. The way she spoke to me completely unprofessional. She wasn’t concerned at the poor service that was provided by her and her employees. Or the standards in the bathroom. All she seemed concerned about was that I made a complaint about her. She took no ownership of anything. She did proceed to explain that I was getting a gift card and very rudely and unprofessionally hung up the phone. I live in Bakersfield, CA. My wife and I have frequent the Palmdale, Northridge, and Bakersfield locations and their service never disappoints. We know the service that YardHouse provides and the high standards they hold themselves to at these locations. That’s why for my birthday I wanted to go to a familiar place, but were let down. The bathroom conditions alone should’ve been a health concern for Jamie who is the manger and for everyone that is employed there. It just seems that at this location there’s not pride or care and it’s truly disappointing. YardHouse will continue to be our go to place, but we will never ever visit the San Jose location.

I have never made a complaint before, but I feel this needs to be said. My husband and I go to the yard house in Pasadena quite often. And there is always one manager that is always rude and hostile. Her name is Shannon. I have never in my life felt so disrespected before today. Usually it’s just eye rolls and attitude in her voice but tonight she snapped at me and my husband. She is also very cruel to her employees. And I feel she should be put somewhere else. It’s the people that make yard house a wonderful place and her attitude is one of the worst. I also found out that one of my favorite employees that works there is leaving all because she didn’t want to leave. He has a kind heart and generous soul. That’s the type of service yard house needs. I hope someone sees this and does something about it. I saw her shove one of her employees tonight. And I can’t think how awful this place is now. I will not be going back in a hurry I no longer enjoy the atmosphere. I would really like to keep every manager except her.

Yardouse in Irvine-Irvine Spectrum Center. To Manager at Yardhouse Irvine, I came here May 2021 and there was spit in my water. Then we the restaurant served me(two white women), a chicken lettuce wrap it was unsanitary, they took it directly out of the trash. Smelled like it and the shell for the filling was inedible. I am yy African American and this was a racist and discriminatory practice against me done intentionally both times. I had to leave it was disgusting and immoral. want you to contact me about this spit in my food and drinks and also the entree that came out the trash. I also came in November 2019 and my waiter/server was a white male and I ordered boneless chicken wings and it was drenched in spit. I ate it to. Making sure it was spit and entree tasted like spit absolutely disgusting. Please fwd this to your corporate.

Today is my birthday I’m here on vacation in vegas. I’m VEGAN have been for 2& 1/2 Years I have not ate beef over 6 years and I love to eat a different vegan places …. We have local friends that live here and they told us about this restaurant the yard house … I look over the menu and see they had many vegan options I chose the beyond burger all the way the server Keith verified what I wanted after I said it by pointing at the beyond burger on the menu …. What I received when order was ready was a classic cheeseburger I then ask the Server for vegan ranch or Mayo he said he didn’t think they had any that was yet another clue that I was vegan … after I ate the entire burger Keith run our check I asked for beyond burger meal the bill showed up on our monitor as 2 classic cheese burger once I seen that I ask Keith the server why it said classic burger instead of vegan he said that what he put in for so I told him I did not order that I order beyond burger and he confirmed by pointing I expressed that I was vegan again and I would like to speak with a manager because I just ate beef .. a manager by the name of Tracy came over she asked what could she do to help me I explained the problem and basically what could she do after this I feeling sick already it’s hasn’t even been an hour since I left the restaurant I then ask for Coporate number Tracy said sure I can get that for you give me just a second she walk off a few minutes later another manager by the name of ty came over I explained to him what happened and that I was just waiting on Coporate number he said he didn’t have access to Coporate number only but an email he could give me I told that Tracy walk off saying she was going to get for me I’m very furious and upset and disappointed all in one I will never eat here again while writing this email I just finish vomiting and my friends car I would very much appreciate if I could speak with someone from Coporate so that i can be address properly so this issue/ experience will never happen to anyone else again my name is Salaney smith

A group of us (usually 6) were looking forward to the Yard House opening in the Arundel Mills location in Hanover MD since they took over our previous place for Tues Happy Hour. HH at this location is from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. We usually arrive about 4:45 and they will NEVER seat us until after 5:00! Twice they have told us there was a wait list for an hour or more when the restaurant wasn’t even half full!!! This type of issue has happened EVERY Tues we have gone there. Less than 6 people seem to get seated no problem. Sometimes they have said they didn’t have enough servers yet there is always 3-4 people standing around the check in counter! And most of those people are not very nice. I am so sick of this! This past Tues (June 22) the same thing happened again! When they did seat us we sat there for 20 minutes before we got waited on .. And that was after another member of our party went and complained at the front desk. The manager on duty came over and apologized and offered us free appetizers. I’m not looking for free stuff … I just want to be seated when I arrive and relax!! Not deal with this bull every single time! What is the problem there??!! And those people need an attitude adjustment too ?

Myself, my girls and granddaughters decided to eat at the Yardhouse last Sunday in Palmdale, service slow took over 10 min get an order in, for drinks longer to get, drinks were good food tasted fine but after we got home 30min later we were all sick, I was up til 1:3 after feeling better I heard my granddaughter throwing up, she continued til 5:40 am the following day my daughter the mother called Yardhouse to tell them what happened they said they would look into this get back, they did said the only thing they could do is give us a free meal!!! my granddaughter is on the spectrum she couldn’t communicate that well with us we all sat around making her comfortable, the only reason I’m commenting here is the phone is no longer active on Yardhouse page!!.. guess they didn’t want to hear all the complaints..

Long Beach yard house is one of the worst experience that I ever had, the host her name is Karina – short hair with glasses ( also please check out some of the yelp reviews talking about that same hostess being rude to all the customers ) She is very rude and she purposely let us wait for over 3 hours how we knew, the tracker shows were 2nd in line and all of a sudden she was able to sit 5 families ahead of us and then when I asked her for her name and manager all of a sudden we been seated but wait she went and told her assistant manager that I cursed her out and that did not even happened at all and I will never say anything like that as a Christian , I told Daryl Stegall that I never said that and he said oh I believe my staff and not your word . and He started screaming at first with my son who is a minor and telling him that we should be grateful that we are sitting in the table because of him and then telling me that I am not allowed to be served the food although the waitress whos was so nice already took our orders and even her she was surprise and asked me who the host was and when I said it was Karina and she said oh no here we go again! I call out for being discriminated against and humiliated in front of my kids and family after waiting for 3 hours just for him to say we are not allowed to dine in? Wow that is something
it seems there’s a pattern here Asians getting discriminated not Only once but looks like a couple of incidents already. Also why would they treat the customers like they are giving the food for free. That really ruined our night and my daughter’s celebration with her fiancé. My daughter asked Daryl for the corporate number which by the way he was hesitant to give her but my daughter insisted so he gave her his business card but as he was walking away he said he doesn’t care who she talks to cause nothing will happen at all.
I love going to yard house but after this I don’t think so. I pay for my food to be treated like the way they treated me and my family.
All I want is for Yard House management to act and do something.

When I was celebrating my future marriage coming up with my family and my Fiancés family a Assistant Manager by the name of Darryl Stegall kicks my father out because he informed him that his Worker Corina the hostess with short hair and glasses said my father had cursed her out when the only thing he asked was for her name because we had waited 3 hours since our arrival and she sat 5 parties ahead of us even after the app said we were 2nd in line. Darryl Stegall was very offensive, screamed at us and made Racist remarks of us being a bunch of Asians and Hispanics with no class and even screamed at a minor. He told us he didn’t care who we contacted because nothing would be done to him nor the hostess who was very very rude since the beginning. I told him we had witnesses all around but instead of allowing everyone to tell him that his hostess was lying he embarrassed us and he made Yard house lose alot of money as we were a party of 13 who had ordered food and drinks already. Its with great displeasure that I write this. He not only ruined our night but ruined a happy moment we wanted to share at Yard house that was meaningful to our relationship. Darry Stegall and the Hostess Corina are racist and have no ability to have good customer service. Corina who has short hair and wore glasses rolled her eyes various times and would be rude when customers were asking for the time wait. They are rude and have made yard house regulars not come because of their rudeness and making it known they have the power to kick anyone out if they want. It hurts to know Yard House permits workers like this to deal with customers and have the ability to be this racist and rude!!!

The assistant GM at Yard House City center just denied my wife and I service, and told us to leave the because my shirt offended the GM. Not one customer complained. They lied to us as my wife was watching and colaberated together. There were 3 females behind the bar that were of Indian and caucasian ethnicity, that said nothing. There were 4 male bartenders of Caucasian and Mexican ethnicity, that payed no mind. The only person offended was the African American GM. Not one other person in the entire establishment said a word. He didn’t have the balls to come speak to me, so he sent his assistant GM to do the dirty work. We literally sat down at the bar and order two Old 43’s and were waiting to order dinner. Nothing more, nothing less. This is the type of sh*t that blows my mind. I can’t believe how butthurt people have become. You’re offended by my shirt? Well I’m offended by how much of a crybaby you are over a clothing item. We loved this establishment and came here quite often, but thanks to one of their GM, that got so butthurt offended, we will never spend our hard earned money there again. If you’re so “offended” by this shirt, you seriously need to get a f-ing grip on life. FYI you can’t suppress me or my 1st amendment rights. You can’t stop me from supporting my POTUS. Get ready, bc you got 5 more years. ????#MAGA I read this online about your Houston location. I hope you resolve this matter. On June 25, 2018 I ate at Yard house in Riverside,CA. My bill total was $24.70. I tipped my server Leanne $3.70. Which would make my grand total $28.40. When I checked my bank account two days later, I realized that my bill total had an additional $3.70 added to it making it $32.10. I immediately called Yard house and asked to speak to the manager. I informed Mike (The manager) that I was overcharged, he was very rude and stated that I donated $3.70 to another organization. I told him I did NOT and that I had my receipt in front of me. After going back and fourth he told me I would receive my money back ($3.70) in 2-3 days via my debit card. It has been over 3 days and there has not been a refund in my account. I contacted my bank and asked if there was a refund status for Yard house and they stated “no” and that nothing was in the system. I hate to go through with legal action for $3.70, but something needs to be done. I was illegal charged by Leanne and the Mike the manager has not helped me. I will not give up.

Love yard house great choice of meals and beer. Never have I’ve been so disappointed in the service that my wife and two kids and myself have ever received from the waitress to the servers including the bar keep and ultimately the kitchen manager and staff. The service was by far the worst. The beer was was not cold seemed like it sat for a bit before brought to our table then took a very long while to get the waitress to order another then took a long while to get it served in the meantime one meal was servers 20 min before the other three meals and when served the meals were on the cool side of touch. By the time we got our meals served we pretty much lost our appetites. I ask to speak to alarmar the manager explained the issue we experienced and told him we were leaving. I really hope you as corporate employees remember one thing. The customer pays your salary with that said I would emplore that you to get the Palmdale store back to its glory days like when you first opened. We don’t have much of different choices in restaurants up here in Palmdale but I believe that if there is a restaurant it should offer the best to the patrons that support your establishment. My name is Andy Torres, I’m 22 years old, and I’ve never written a complaint before. I guess for starters I should get down to the point of why I am writing this complaint:
I am writing this complaint because I love eating at the Yard House. In fact, I relish every time I go to the Yard House with friends and family. I live in Rancho Cucamonga and frequent the restaurant you guys have in Victoria Gardens. I moved here when I was 11 years old and since moving here and the construction of Victoria Gardens we have always eaten at your establishment. And every time for as long as I remember I always ordered one specific dish… A classic cheeseburger with extra cheese (medium well), fries, with a grape lemonade (that I always wait to order when the food comes out). The thing that ties this meal together, and quite honestly makes every experience perfect is the garlic aioli dipping sauce that is brought out with every burger.
The Garlic Aioli. In the past few weeks you changed the way you guys make your usual garlic aioli sauce where now it tastes a lot more garlic-y (a waiter even confirmed to me the recent change). That is why I am writing this letter. I know it’s so stupid that I am writing this letter when there are sooo many other things in the world to be complaining about. Yet here I sit writing a stupid letter to the Yard House when I should be out drinking with friends this summer night. And me being the realistic business major I can empathize on the “Whys” of the changing of the sauce. Maybe you did it because your typical distributor hiked up the prices, or maybe many people complained about the taste of the sauce I know and love, or maybe you guys are just doing this to read if the customers respond well to this minute change in a dumb effort to raise productivity. I just want that experience back. I gave the new sauce a chance and just didn’t like it and it changed the whole burger experience for me.
But even though the sauce changed it doesn’t mean I’m going to stop going, boycott Yard House, or XXXXXX and moan about you guys on “Yelp”. I sincerely just wanted to know the why and perhaps come to some kind of solution so that I could find that experience again. Or maybe people have been complaining and this letter tips the decision to bring back the old sauce recipe (which I highly doubt but one can hope). Maybe you guys can point me to a store that sells garlic aioli that is similar to that old flavor or maybe there is a secret thing I can tell the chefs and they’ll help me out. Either way I just ask this because weirdly enough, no ill prepared food, or long wait time for my meal could have sent me in this maddening typing frenzy. Interestingly enough it was the changing of the one thing that tied my experience together that has brought me to this.
In conclusion, I hope this letter hasn’t fallen on deaf ears and I get some kind of response. I really love the Yard House and don’t intend to stop going. My only hope for this letter is that a good loyal restaurant goer like me merits an explanation or a potential solution.

Hi, me and my familyou of 14 went to the brea location on February 24, 2017 at approximately 830 to 9pm. We had a great time, food was delicious and the place was very nice. At the end of our visit however we had the WORSE SERVICE I have everead exerienced. The yard house is suppose to be a bit upscale so this was very shocking. The waiter gave us the bill which was huge for 14 people and gave us a pen to slit everything ourselves. We told the waiter that this was unprofessional and asked if she could split it herself. She said no and told us to pass it around. We had plans to attend a comedy show right next door and we missed our show because of this. We literally spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out the damn bill so we got up and asked to speak to the manager. We spoke to a blonde haired woman and the associate manager Daniel Kannenberg Neither one showed any compassion or understanding for what was happening. Their approach was completely unprofessional and I’ve never been so disrespected in my life. The main one who was a problem was Daniel kannenberg. Who the he’ll promoted this guy? This guy literally disrespected our entire family. We told him that we spent hundreds of dollars tonight and that we didn’t appreciate that we are being asked to do 30 minutes of math and passing around this damn receipt and that we came to enjoy ourselves and have a good time I mean that’s why we went out. He did not do one damn thing to accolade us instead you know what he does? He puts his hand up to shush us when we are talking and told us that it’s not their problem and that we need to split our own check. I told him that they are being unprofessional and that they don’t seem to care at all and that I’ve never experienced this waliyh a manager. He completely ignored what I said and told us that they will not do anything for the situation and that this was their policy. This guy should be fired immediately. My entire family left a 0 dollar tip and we are the type of people to leave generous tips regardless of service and none of us could believe this. We literally missed our comedy show we all went home and had the worse service of our life. I can’t believe this happened. I can’t belive the management didn’t care and didn’t do anything to even try to make it better. There was no oh I’m so sorry or we’ll I apologize. It was more like we’ll that’s not our fault you need to take care of. His facial expression told it all which was we don’t give a sh*t, shut up, and get the he’ll out of here. This is f-ing ridiculous. Please get back to me asap. I’m so bothered and embarrassed that my family and my grandma and aunt were all treated link this. Everyone drove very far to meet us here as it was a special event that was completely ruined. At the least I would expect an apology. But I received a disrespectful management and his name is Daniel Kannenberg. I can’t believe this happened to us. What a disrespectful person. How dare his treat us like this.

It’s been years we have going to yardhouse until 11/18/2016. A horrible experience happened when the waiter charged my cc for someone else’s bill or dinner. For an hour and a half the waiter and manager haggled with me convincing me it was deleted but had no proof to show. Waiter held on to my credit card until I asked for it. At first I thought it was an honest mistake until stories were changed and twisted. My cc was intentionally charged for someone else’s bill and they tried to get me tired so I’ll just go home and take there word for it. Finally the manager came with an untrue statement. I was so upset the ordeal gave me a headache and threw up all night. I was charged for our dinner( w/c was ok) and someone else’s bill on my credit card all they My came up with is a duplicate receipt of all charges I have. This is the yardhouse on town square Las Vegas strip. Do not trust those people.
