Service was abhorrent today. As I waited at the counter and didn’t see anybody working there, I tapped on the counter. A large and unkempt fellow appeared and slammed his hand on the counter three times and then asked to take my order.
Am a 70 plus senior and do not appreciate such behavior. This is not the first time this has occurred here. So, am looking for another Winchell’s in my area. If cannot find one, will shop elsewhere.
Thank You

Visited the Winchell’s on 1931 E. Florence in L.A. today around 9:50 p.m. ,no one helped me. I waited a while and left caused out of the 3 workers no one even said give me a minute or hello , one female ask a male worker to help me he didn’t and then she asked another female worker she also didn’t . The male worker decided to grab some keys and locked the doors . I don’t know how it’s a 24 hours business and closes its doors. Anyway I left, pls. more customer service training.

I agree with you. The service at this location at night is bad!!!!
I’ve pretended like I was a mystery shopper and told them how to
do what they could have been trained to do. Bad for the company and Brand.

Winchell’s in my opinion is the one of the Supreme donuts places to visit. I visited store #9128, 6502 Greenleaf ave. Whittier, CA. twice within the last month. It saddens me to see such a lack of customer service, filthy store not to mention the apron the store clerk was wearing it looked like it hadn’t been washed in a month. I get it aprons get dirty but this one was beyond, it was filthy dirty. You need to check out the store, clean up everything behind your counters, the floors, equipment, trash cans and then some. I was disgusted and didn’t take the time to look at the dining area. Each time i visited you employees where not visible. They’re in the back room, the door chimes fairly loud not once but twice and they ignore it. On both occasions i had to say very loudly ‘Hello is anyone here’ and it took a while for someone to come out of the room and get this they don’t seem that interested in providing service. They come out still in a conversation with each other not even acknowledging the customer. Please clean up this place and instead of your employees taking the time to talk about there personal issues perhaps they could spend some time providing customers service and cleaning the facility.

Visited the Winchell’s @44th & Kipling in Colorado.
First I’m going to tell you my history. Grew up in the donut business in my mother’s shop was on Santa Fe Ave in Long Beach Ca. Worked there from the age of 12-20. Bought her franchise and then moved to Boise Idaho to open a new store. Was involved with shops in Idaho, Utah & Colorado. Ran my last one in Irvine Ca off Jeffrey Road. The Irvine store & one I had in Culver City were large volume stores. I pride myself on making the best looking donuts & providing excellent service. Neither can I say the one on 44th provided. Grease filled donuts (over proofed) and sour crump mixture. Not friendly staff & having personal conversations in Spanish while customers waited. Sad experience, won’t go back.

I ordered the large donut at the Winchells i. South Pasadena Ca the day before and today when I went to pick up my order before going to work, found out they mixed up the order and they were pressuring me to buy 2 dozen donuts that I did not order. Then they proceeded to blame each for the mix up, and the woman who seemed to be in charge said oh by the way they don’t make large donuts anymore. I had ordered it for my friends birthday today and was very disappointed that I was not able to get it for her and in addition was treated very rudely because I did not want to purchase donuts that I did not order.

I went to winchells donut on 44 th and Kipling in wheatridge Colorado today , and had the worst experience ever , I bought a dozen donut for 12 dollars got home bit into one and was greasy and uncooked , I I took them back and asked to speak to the manager Jose , I asked for my money back and he refused to give it to me saying he seen nothing wrong with them , and stayed there arguing with me wich is totally unprofessional got smart with me and said he wasn’t refunding me my money , and said lady the donuts are fresh and they are cooked in oil , being a smart a** for one ,so told him you may like them like that but I don’t and he continued to tell me I was racist a ne to take my f-in donuts and get out of his store, so then I called to complain , got a hold of someone by the name of Humberto who could barely speak English , and he told me he would look into it , got a call back from him 4 hours later telling me to pick my money up so I went and when I got there he told me you called corporate now your not getting your money, unless they call me , go call the fire department if you want laughing , he was acting so childish so that s how my experience was today , and still have not heard a word back from anyone, so I don’t recommend that place to anyone , they are filth to boot .
