While in London in 1988, David MacNeil noticed that the floor mats in his rented E-class Mercedes Benz not only fit perfectly, but they were molded so they went up around the edges, preventing water and mud from touching the floor. This made MacNeil wonder why every floor mat was not designed this way.
The following year, MacNeil founded WeatherTech. While he originally imported mats from the UK, he planned on moving everything to the USA as soon as possible; production, materials, marketing, everything.
MacNeil is zealous about America and using American workers. “If my neighbor doesn’t have a job because of outsourcing, then one day I won’t have a job either.” MacNeil is fond of repeating. “Experts” continually told him that you couldn’t build a manufacturing plant in the US or that American workers “cost too much,” MacNeil says he simply didn’t listen to the experts.
The factory, located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, offers tours. Everything the company does and produces is now made in the USA.
The company started off manufacturing floor mats but has since added cup holder inserts that hold a mobile phone, protectors for rear seats, car care products, steering wheel covers, and more.
MacNeil was a supporter of Donald Trump, but it is unknown where that stands now since, in 2018, he stated that he wanted Congress and the president to legalize DACA immigrants. One of his employees was (at that time) a DACA member and he doesn’t understand why DACA members aren’t made citizens.
Company headquarters and customer service are located in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

I have weather tech floor mats for my wives 2017 Ford Edge Titanium – I’m happy with them.
I’m wondering if you any special sales or senior discounts that I may benefit me.
I’m want to purchase front floor mats, passenger floor mats, and cargo mat.
I’m 71 years old that’s why I asked about the senior discount.
Thank you for connecting with me about the products I would like to purchase

Tried calling your number but it said I was 106th in line and really didn’t want to wait for my turn at 106th in line.
Sent an email on January 10th and didn’t receive a response from your customer service department

I received a cupphone as a birthday present and received it yesterday. My phone (Iphone 11 with an Otter Defender cover does not fit in the phone holder. The cover is not easily removed nor would I want to. My wifes I6S phone as the same cover and works because it is smaller overall. I tried calling to find out if you had a fix for this issue but could not get through to your company because of the tremendous hold times which either means you have a lot of customer complaints or not enough employees. I even tried the new order line with the same results. How do you get new business? How can I get a response to my questions or get a return authorization number to send the product back. I am also a returning customer having purchased floor mats for my Toyota Tundra in 2017. Stop your mass advertising of your products or get a handle on the huge number of complaints that are showing up on the internet.

What Matters to You…. (SHOULD BE CUSTOMER SERVICE)
Love the product! Hate the wait on the phone for customer service!1 258 callers ahead of me is ridiculous. The way the return policy is where the customer has to pay for the shipping to return the product is crazy as well. It cost 50.00 to return the Floor Matt’s. And I had to purchase new ones and wait for the refund on the ones returned. So I have a total of 642.00 in 2 sets of floor Matt’s. Even though the front floor Matt’s fit ,I was told by the customer Service Rep. Pete that I would need to send them all back. If I could have kept the front floor Matt’s that fit it would have only cause me $28.00 to send them back
If you read Mr. MacNeil statement , it is great that he is thinking about the American people and keeping jobs here in the USA. The USA needs more CEO thinking this way. Somewhere along the way someone forgot about customer service. Without the customers there would be no WeatherTech.
Hire more customer service reps. And make sure that the ones working call the customer back, as I called twice with no call back.
To top it off, I have been on hold while typing this message with WeatherTech and from 250 callers before me I was at 138 and the call was dropped. This is very poor customer service.
I would love a call back from Mr. Macneil about my customer service concerns.
Hopefully a future WeatherTech customer.

I am extremely disappointed with Weathertech customer service. I ordered 2 products on 12/18/19, and was told they would ship the same day or the following day. I live in the Chicago area, and expected to receive them on 12/19 or 12/20, as it is 1 day UPS shipping from Weathertech to my home.
I never received the products. I have called the customer service line 5 times. They require a customer to hold for several minutes, indicating that they are connecting you with a customer service agent. Then, they come on, after you wait several minutes, and advise that there are 260 calls ahead of you. The website indicates my order is “being processed” today, 12/20/19. Wow!
The customer service function is definitely broken at Weathertech. I expect I will receive my products sometime in 2020. My wife is extremely disappointed!

Weather tech’s customer service is horrible. Why would you expect someone to wait until 200 people are served?? Ever heard of online returns???

Does Weather Tech plan on making bed liner for the Chevy Silverado with a 6’6″ bed anytime soon?
