Waterfurnace Renewable Energy was founded in 1983 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company operates a geothermal heat source used for heating and cooling homes and businesses.
The company designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes geothermal heat pumps which extract heat from the ground. This heat can then be used to power water heaters and radiant heated floor systems. This same system can be put in reverse to pull hot air from homes and businesses, and cool the air underground. This is a renewable source of energy that is never depleted and can save consumers thousands in heating and cooling costs.
Waterfurnace Renewable Energy operates as a subsidiary of NIBE Industrier AB. The company changed its name from Waterfurnace Industries in 2008. Headquarters remain in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jane a Kidd says
To Whom It May Concern,
Let me introduce my husband and myself. We are Tim and Jane Kidd of Hydes, Md. We were satisfied owners of a Water Furnace Geothermal heating and air conditioning system. I say we WERE satisfied because last week our system broke down. We called the contractor that installed it and he promptly sent out a technician to fix it. He then informed us that the furnace has had a major problem and we would need to replace the whole unit. He said that the cost would be around $10,000. He also told my husband that he has installed and repaired hundreds of the Water Furnace systems and ours is only the second one that he has seen malfunction as it did. By the way, our system is three months out of warranty. He called and spoke to someone there and he was able to obtain a discount of some sort for us but he said we are still going to pay a lot of money.
My home was built in 2008 with the Water Furnace installed then. We have not turned the air conditioner on until June 19, 2018. That was when we found the unit malfunctioning.
The company that installed it is Watervale Heating and Air Conditioning in Fallston, Md. They have been very professional and honest with us.
I am writing this not to complain about the contractor but in the hopes of getting better satisfaction monetarily from Water Furnace. My husband is a building inspector with a local government and he has continually sung the praises of the Water Furnace Geothermal system to builders and homeowners he sees on a daily basis. Right now he is not so happy. We understand that a part could break on any equipment, but we were told that this unit should last at least around twenty years or so. Ten years is a big let down. Needless to say, he will also be telling people he meets about our experience with your company, and he sees a lot of people. I am also on Facebook.
Please help us to resolve this issue to our satisfaction.
In closing, I would ask you to contact my husband, Tim Kidd at 443-866-XXXXX, or me Jane Kidd at the email listed or 443-750-XXXXX.
