I would like to know why my review of the Guilford Mooring in Guilford ,Ct. appears at the top of each of the first ten review pages.I did not bother to go beyond the 10th page so I imagine it probably appears on every page. Also your system in which to get an answer to my question obviously would not cover my question. It’s about time tripadvisor employs the services of a customer relations or care department. The way your set up surely does not lead one to believe that your company really cares about the [public it supposedly services.

I am e-mailing to offer you a chance to explain things to me before I send a copy of my complaint to the following:

    Trip Advisor Corporate Office Headquarters

    Here is my concern.

On a recent vacation in Florida, my wife and I found a Florida Hotel Coupons book and looked for a hotel in the general area where we were heading for the night. We found an ad for a Quality Inn off the Florida Turnpike (Exit 1) Florida City, Florida and drove to it. It was about a 3 hour drive from where we were. It also showed a 10% off, $58.99 rate in large letters good thru 4/14/18. The date we were travelling was 3/23/18 so we thought we were all set. The ad also had a trip advisor certificate of excellence proudly displayed. So, Quality Inn it is then, and off we go.
Three hours later I’m standing at the desk in the hotel lobby being told first, I should have read the much finer print which states, not valid for holidays, special events which although it wasn’t a holiday, I guess there was a special local event going on and this was considered “in season” and also that it was “management’s discretion” whether or not to “honor” the offer.
I need to know if all that is true for one, and if it is, what kind business practice is Quality Inn engaged in. Because to me this is clearly a bait and switch tactic. And if it is “Manager’s discretion” there should be a statement clearly showing that in large print! As for special events, if you are going to offer a special and a “special local event is occurring during the dates on the coupon, it needs to be printed on that coupon. It is unfair to expect a visitor from 2000 miles away to know when each and every “special event” is taking place.
Please advise me as to your business practices so I can get on Facebook, Google, and Twitter and advise folks, and also alert the above agencies.

    John Antonis, Alexandria, NH 03222, jantonis@ metrocast.net

p.s. I have the Hotel Coupon Book so I can provide copies to the agencies, as well as my hotel receipt.

First time user and just registered so I could write my comments. I am very disappointed in Trip Advisor’s decision to drop Laura Ingraham from their advertising list. I would like to say that I feel you made a bad corporate decision. Also, would you please remove my listing.

I will not be using Trip Advisor due to your support of David Hogg. He is a 17 year old extremist that is capitalizing on a horrific event to further his and his backers agenda. Your support of such a misguided and immature person is shameful and I will not be supporting Trip Advisor or recommending your services to anyone – there are too many other online resources that display better sense.

You have made a decision to pull your sponsorship of the Ingraham Angle (Laura Ingraham) show on Fox News, Thus me & my family will boycott Trip Advisor. I will also be speaking to friends to ask their support as well. When companies cave in to the robo-tweets and robo emails of any leftist group, our democracy suffers. And unlike the robo-tweets of Media Matters or like groups, we are REAL customers. Until you resume your sponsorship of this program, we will have nothing to do with Trip Advisor.

I have just learned that you have pulled your support of Laura Ingram on fox. I hope this is not true. But until I hear differently, I will no longer be using your services and products and will be sure to let friends and family know of your business ethics. When you have teenage radicals making your decisions, your company looks a little incompetent.

it is sad to see TripAdvisor has sucXXXXb to political pressure supposedly from a child (being coached and used by others to attain their agenda), if Hogg committed or commits a felony he would be adjudicated as an adult. He choose the big boy arenas and needs to put his big boy pants on and not call vile names of those opposing his views. Nor throw a child like hissy fit and call foul hyprocritcally after his foul mouth spoke very clearly on those stating facts. Please companies quit taking sides, grow some kojones and sell your products to everyone! PS don’t watch Ingraham and will not be using your product due to your knee jerk executive action.

TripAdvisor has placed a review for our child rape advocacy organization on their web site. No one placed or authorized this site to review our company. We have asked to have the review section removed, to identify the person opening this account, and to stop advertising the address to the location of our horses and rape crisis center. TripAdvisor has refused to respond to our requests.
Our horses work to support themselves. Since our handlers are primarily victims of child sex crimes, we know a abuser when we see one. We plan on traveling to the TripAdvisor HQ in Needham MA. with our horses to make enough money to feed our herd. The employees at TripAdvisor will be able to meet the horses they are trying to starve out of business.
Sunshine, our pony cart leader is going to offer Stephen Kaufer her hoof in marriage. He is going to be able to marry a fine mare and support her and her family. You can see our efforts on Facebook at Unofficial:Tripadvisor. You are encouraged to contact our organization to get your invitation to this ceremony.

I have sent a letter with no response to HR and don’t see how to contact anyone by phone. I am an instructor at nearby (to Needham) Mount Ida College, teaching a course in Advertising Copy this fall. For the final project each student will design an advertising campaign for TripAdvisor. I would love to take the class one time to visit the site. We meet TU/TH from 11-12:15. Please someone contact me!!! Thanks.

I have recently booked tours in NYC for June 3 2017 and received confirmation from Viator that I needed to print my “vouchers”. I printed what I thought was a “voucher” but continued emails from Viator are making me question whether I have the right doXXXXents. I tried going online to Viator Help but got only FAQ which does not help me. I tried to go to the connection they gave me to access my account and was told that I had an account but no password. When I tried to create a password, it stated that they would send me an email with my password. It has been over an hour and no email. I then attempted to find a phone number where I could call and get some answers but could find none on the Viator website and their “Help” is not interactive as far as I can find. I then went to Trip Advisor website and also did not find a number to contact until I went to the Corporate website. Viator website touts that they will be there to help and to just call them, but no where can I locate a phone number. I would appreciate a rapid response so that I can be confident that my trip will be problem free.

We will never do business with TripAdvisor again as they are a complete joke. We booked a reservation through one of their sites three and a half months ago for a vacation rental in Nashville. We paid a deposit and our full rental payment for the home we reserved. A week before our vacation, we received an email stating our reservation has been canceled because they accidentally double booked the place we reserved. We kept emailing the home owner and contacted trip advisor to obtain a refund since we had to book a new place last minute that ended up costing us over $400 more! The TripAdvisor associates we spoke with on the phone tried charging us a $150 cancellation fee for them canceling our reservation and runing our vacation! We obviously told them this was not acceptable as we did not cancel, they did. They kept hanging up on us and the home owner, but eventually said they’d call us back with a refund. Fast forward to the next day where we received a message with them placing the blame on the home owner and telling us the issue is not resolved. We still do not have a refund from them. Not only did they ruin our vacation for 15 people driving ten hours, but they were so rude and unprofessional towards us like it was our fault. The least they could do is offer some type of compensation for costing us an extra $400 and treating us the way they did. Their customer support and business practices are despicable. We have reported them to the BBB and will be filing a dispute with our credit card company if we do not see a full refund from them soon.

Chuck, I am so glad I am not the only one who has this complaint. In the recent past Tripadvisor has changed their algorithm and are posting local restaurants from other areas in between listings for the area you requested. It has turned a fabulous tool into garbage. This is the nonsense answer I received from them, ” Hi Pam,
Thanks for contacting TripAdvisor and thank you for your suggestion about our restaurants section!
We’ll pass your thoughts along to our site editors to review. Over the years, we’ve implemented major changes to TripAdvisor based upon feedback just like yours.
So on behalf of the entire traveler community, thank you!”
      Sincerely,
      The TripAdvisor Support Team
Is that supposed to a serious response to my expression of concern?

I would like to talk to someone at the corporate headquarters for Trip Advisor about the business practices that I am seeing which are a violation of Federal Trade and Trust law. I would sincerely hope to resolve this without filing a complaint with the U.S. Justice Department. I am a former news media executive with Thomson Newspapers and Thomson Reuters, so you will find I have a valid complaint. Phone (850) 234-XXXXXX

Hello Steven. Did this happen to you also?

My complaint to FBI & AG of MA regarding wire fraud and fraudulent activity by trip Advisor, Flipkey & Holidaylettings:

On December 27, 2016 at approximately 9:45 a.m. I contacted Flipkey, a subsidiary of Trip Advisor and UK based Holidaylettings. These companies book hotel rooms, flights, etc. I responded to an ad on Flipkey website to rent a private room & bath at 939 West Side ave. North Bergen, NJ 07306 at $40 per night. I contacted Flipkey customer service to ask questions about the owner, rental cost, etc. prior to booking. After negotiating booking the room for 2 days (12/27-12/29) and a second agreement 12/29-1/4/17 (recorded statements) to rent at same rate the owner Carl Khouri contacted me to say that “he forgot to change seasonal pricing and would not honor booking” and he proceeded to cancel my booking.(bait & switch)

After a few hours, I went to address of where I booked room and address didn’t exist. This was a fraudulent and illegal transaction in which I contacted Flipkey, Trip Advisor, Paypal and Carl Khouri. When speaking with Paypal customer service I was informed that I was the 3rd person that day to call regarding same scenario with Flipkey & Trip Advisor. There is a pattern of fraud here involving wire fraud and deceptive business practice and cirXXXXventing it through UK.

Please investigate and I would like to have charges brought against all involved with this scheme.

I just learned of your decision to have your booking service, Viator, stop selling tickets to hundreds of destinations where tourists come in physical contact with enslaved wild animals or endangered species. I thank you on behalf of our children and theirs, and all sentient beings on this planet. Words cannot express the upwelling of feeling in my heart to learn that money cannot buy every soul, nor silence every conscience.
