TrackR was founded by Chris Herbert and Christian Smith in 2009. This pair of entrepreneurs met at Santa Barbara College and shared their woes about the pain of losing items. The idea for TrackR was born.
TrackR makes devices the size of coins that can be attached to various items. The tag can then be tracked via the GPS system on smartphones. There are TrackR devices that can make your cell phone ring, even if you have it set to silent, ones that can be placed in your wallet, and tags that can be attached to pet collars.
The company is listed as #155 on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America. TrackR had a three-year growth rate of 2,541% and an annual revenue in 2014 of $2.7 million. The company has 15 employees, with 8 of these jobs being added in the past 3 years.
Track R is also listed as #14 on the Inc. list of Top Consumer Products and Services. In late 2018, the company rebranded itself as Adero.

Your system does not work. Actually it gives very wrong information when asking where it is. I have lost my keys twice, and they send me on a very wild goosechase. I finally found my keys when someone called from where I had left them weeks earlier. Today I put my finder in the car, and when I was coming home from my appointment, the warning that I had left my traker behind went on forever. I couldn’t get it to turn off. The key was with me in my car, and it kept telling me I was leaving it behind. CRAZY. I need help, or my money back, one or the other……………the lights don’t go on either.

Hi,
I am interested in your TrackR product. My main concern is the sound volume. I purchased your product about 4 years ago, and after a week or so of using it I discovered the volume just wasn’t loud enough, especially if there was outside ambient noise. Have you guys pumped up the volume on your latest TrackR models?
Sincerely,
Tom Trent

Y’all are nothing but a bunch of thief’s. You took my money when I purchase a 20-30 of these and they are failing and no one for your sorry excuse for a company will even reply to me. You are nothing more than a GLORIFIED craigslist scammer. Your product sux’s just as bad as your customer service. I will do everything in my power to destroy your company on the internet and in person. I am contacting a lawyer about a class action law suit.

“Find anything anywhere.” Bull. Up to 70 feet. Totally misleading advertising. I bought 10 of these totally worthless things and would like to get my $100 back but based on what I am seeing and finding out about this company, I don’t think honesty is in the corporate manual. Please go out in the parking lot and look around. I think the dial on your moral compass fell off.

I recently purchased a couple of your devices and the first one installed fine. I went to install the second one just now and the app won’t go any further than the activation point. It won’t go to the screen that asks you what are you tracking. My first unit does not come on anymore and second one won’t stay on more than one or two minutes. Need some help or need to get new ones or a refund. I will be really disappointed if I have to return anything for new ones or a refund. Hope you can help.
