Thirty-One Gifts was founded in 2003 by current CEO Cindy Monroe.  Monroe founded the company in the basement of her Chattanooga, TN home.  Equipped with a sewing machine, Monroe wanted to fill the void she noticed in the personalized gifts industry while working as a consultant for Pampered Chef.

In 2009, sales were $38 million.  In 2010, sales reached $100 million.  The next year, $482 million, followed by $782 million in 2012.

In 2011, the company was forced to put a freeze on accepting new consultants as they were overwhelmed with signups (over 5,000 per month).  The company was forced to lay off 182 people in 2012 due to large capital investments in infrastructure to help with brining on more consultants.  As a result, sales were flat at $760 million for 2013.

In late 2014, the company acquired Utah based jewelry company, Jewel Kade.

In 2015, the company has more than 2,000 employees and 100,000 independent consultants.  The company is now headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.  Cindy Monroe is still the CEO of the company.  Her husband, Scott, serves as the Chief Brand Officer.

    I placed an order with a consultant on July 25th and have not received it yet. She says the parcel was lost in the mail. She offered free shipping if it was sent to her.

    I am a very upset customer I have ordered 31 for Christmas gifts every year also ALL of my Amish Friend children have 31 lunch boxes and they have very BIG Families children 10 to 20 I have ordered lunch boxes for years WELL you must not care about your customers NOW I ordered 5 lunch boxes in July to be here by Sept when the children start school… WELL IT”S SEPT 5 and I have not received a single lunch box OH AND THE CHILDREN HAVE STARTED SCHOOL So I have a 5 year old that has 6 older brothers and sisters going to school with their lunch box and he doesn’t have one it’s great you have a new shipping center in Texas BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS I learned today that a friend ordered items in August with printing on it and she received her order this week AUG ORDER WHAT ABOUT JULY ORDER I would certainly like someone to explain this to me AND SEND OUT MY LUNCH BOXES

    Hello, I placed 3 orders and then had to cancel them because they were not going to ship for about a month and I will be out of the country on business by then. I was refunded for 2 of the orders but not the third order. The order number I need a refund on is G-31961049-00. I placed the order on 7/26/19 and canceled it immediately and was promised refunds on all three orders. My consultant’s name is Heidi Huggins. I have been a very loyal customer of yours and hope to remain so but not happy that my refunds are taking so long and now I did not receive the 3rd refund. Please make this right and get back to me on the results. I wait to hear from you soon. Valli

      I found your email on the corporate website. I am so upset with your company. I have been trying to get my refund for an order that was cancelled on 7/27/19. No one has gotten back to me. I really hope you will. I am due a refund of $70.00 from canceled order number G-31961049-00. I had placed three orders on 7/26/19. I had to cancel all three because they were not going to be available till August 14th and I could not wait.

      I am very disappointed that I am not being taken care of in this matter. I did get two of my three refunds. But still waiting on big refund of $70. I have been such a loyal customer over the years and have loved your products but this is so disappointing and I don’t want to have to go to the Better Business Bureau.

    Today is June 8th and I received the “Sun’s out, Fun’s out” flyer special for June 1 – July 31, yesterday from my consultant. I am so NOT satisfied with you company!!! A co-worker and myself went on line yesterday to place an order for the Essential Storage Tote in the new camper design and it was not showing on line. My consultant called her director today and found out they all were sold out on June 1st. This is the 1st day that they came out. UNREAL!!!! Did you get have 10 of them? Was it a black Friday rush?? This is not like Thirty One. I have ordered for many years and just had an $700 order several months ago but it will probably be my last.
    I know that this is not my consultants fault because she is so fantastic. This is a Corporate fault. What is the problem?
    I anxiously await your reply.

    I ordered 2 items, that ended up becoming “back ordered”. However, I leave for vacation next week and truly wanted the items for the trip, which is why I ordered them in the first place. NOTHING was Embroidered. If you sell items that says “while supplies last” why did my items become “back ordered”? Who took precedence over me to be able to receive their items… Plus delivery needs a signature and I’ll be on vacation next week which means my items may be returned depending on when they finally get shipped… Truly disappointed in the way I’ve been done and my Consultant has been very apologetic through the entire horrible process that isn’t her fault…

    I hate to complain it’s not about your products it was the lady doing my party..she did not interact with me at all through whole online party process…then order was in a week before she message me to set up pickup to meet.then I was told I get free gift from her for having party..No free gift I text then she says I took 2nd deal. Which was 5.00 off my order which I never got..says remind her next time..i will never order from her again she need more training on being a consultant..just was irritating process. I hate complaining.

    Its been months and have not heard about product support. Ordered a backpack this summer for sons graduation and it arrived with staps half sewn and i haven’t been able to get an acceptable answer. I want this made right. Please help!

    I placed an order with Sarah Greene from Massillon, Ohio in May. She ordered the wrong key fob. She keeps saying she’s going to check into why I haven’t received the correct one but can never get an answer. I’m not happy with her or the customer service that I’m receiving. I want the fob or my money back immediately. I’ll never order again from her.
