The Land of Nod was founded in 1996 in Highland Park, Illinois, by Scott Eirinberg and Jamie Cohen, who originally made furniture out of Eirinberg’s basement. The company designs and sells children and baby furniture, toys, lighting, and bedding products.
The company partnered with Crate and Barrel in 2000 to help increase the distribution of their products. In addition to the Crate and Barrel stores, the company has 3 retail locations, as well as an active eCommerce site. Almost all of The Land of Nod’s furniture and designs are created in house.
Mr. Eirinberg left the company in 2011, and Cohen followed suit in 2012. Today, The Land of Nod is a subsidiary of Crate and Barrel.
