Rush Enterprises was founded in 1965 when Marvin Rush and two partners opened a truck dealership in Houston, Texas. Two years later Rush started a leasing company and a new division of the company that handled finance and insurance.
Nine years after founding the company, in 1975, Rush bought out his partners to become the sole owner of Rush Enterprises.
Today the company operates a network of more than 100 commercial dealerships in 20 states under the name Rush Truck Centers. Rush Enterprises also offers insurance, third-party financing, rentals, leasing, body shop repairs, and aftermarket parts.
