Although the company had a few problems in the early 1970s due to changes in corporate ownership, the company is now a subsidiary of Yum Brands, which also owns Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.
KFC received some unexpected “free” advertising when Representative Steve Cohen ate a bucket of chicken after Attorney General William Barr declined to show up for a hearing to the Judiciary Committee.
The company had $23 billion in sales in 2013 and continues to expand its locations both internationally and in the U.S.
