Harborwalk Scoops and Bites was founded in 2010 by husband and wife team Ron and Claudia Thomas. The couple wanted a family ice cream shop that was fun and exciting. Ron Thomas enjoys creating ice cream flavors and giving them unique names, such as Caramoo Tracks and Monkey Business.
Unlike many ice cream shops, Harborwalk Scoops and Bites is open every day, except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. In addition to handmade ice cream, the company offers a wide variety of old fashioned sodas that are rarely seen, such as Nehi’s, A&W Root Beer, and Sioux City Sarsparilla. The company has both indoor and outdoor seating available.
