Ana Mehra worked in corporate offices for years and became so frustrated with the lack of restaurant delivery services to business that she decided to go into business for herself. She founded Foodie Call in 2010 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mehra says that the company is more than just a delivery service, but a restaurant advertising firm as well. The company is one of the few to use insulated “hot” bags to deliver food, keeping it as warm as possible. The website uses cute lines to promote food, such as ” I’m saucy and you get to pick whether I’m dressed in ranch or bleu cheese. I’m usually pretty spicy but I can also be mild and sometimes a little sweet if that’s what you like. If you like wings, you’ll like me!”
Foodie Call was once limited to Charlotte and outlying areas, but after being acquired by Bite Squad in late 2017, the company now delivers almost everywhere Bite Squad does.
