Denis Brooks loved raspberry wine and believed that others might enjoy it as well. He and his wife Sharon started Deer Creek Winery in 2009, using raspberries grown on their 100-acre farm in Shippenville, Pennsylvania.
Denis estimates that they have produced about 1 million bottles of wine since the company’s inception. In 2016, the company opened The Inn at Deer Creek, which is attached to the main winery. It offers 8 luxury bed and breakfast rooms.
In August 2018, Deer Creek Wine moved their brick and mortar store from the Clearview Mall to Main Street in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
The company hosts numerous events throughout the year, including “Murder Mystery Dinner”, a holiday show, and a cornhole tournament.
In addition to its flagship raspberry wine, the company also offers a wide variety of other wines, including cranberry, country-style honey mead, and red Pennsylvania table wine.
