Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate was founded in Birmingham, England, in 1905. George Cadbury, Jr., decided to make his chocolate bars with more milk than the competitors, which made for softer, smoother chocolate.
By 1914, Cadbury had become the best-selling chocolate in the UK.
In 2008, it was discovered that melamine was found in some Cadbury chocolate bars. Cadbury admitted that it had been using some milk from China, which was later discovered to be contaminated.
In July 2019, the company introduced a chocolate bar that contained 30 percent less sugar.
The chocolate is now available in many countries including Kazakhstan, China, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
