I purchased the HRV 420B Black and Decker Pet Robotic Vacuum from the Canadian “The Shopping Channel” on June 27, 2018. The product has been problimatic from the beginning and has finally stopped working. The one-year warranty is up and there is no product support. My choices are to throw out the product or appeal to B&D and TSC.
I have contacted The Shopping Channel and they do no reply. I contacted B&D customer support and was told to ship the product to the nearest depot at my cost. I would have to pay for any service and return shipping. In speaking with the Black and Decker service depot on Blackwell Crescent in Ottawa, today November 26, 2019 I was advised the product was discontinued and other than the battery there are no serviceable parts. In other words the product is not serviceable. I was advised by the service tech that the product was replaced because it was faulty.
While I understand the warranty is up I purchased the product in good faith based on B&D product reliability and market reputation. I am requesting a refund of the initial purchase price, the tax and shipping charge, a total of $244.04.
This is my first attempt at appealing to B&D senior management, I await you replay, thanks.

How unlucky can one get? Lowes 9851 Magnolia ave Riverside ca.
Purchase BV6600 3-1 Black Dicker Vac blower mulcher at 9-26-19 at 11:41 am that would be Thursday all day. number 1
Plugged and the motor burnt up in seconds, Returned to Lowes9-26-19 at 12:26 pm, got new 2nd unit just the luck of the drew I said. number 2
Worked 10 minutes I would guess, and it stopped running, Ok it is my extension cord nope, switch or another burnt motor, back to store, trouble what could it be elec cord worked with a drill, so it’s not the cords, switch or motor ok back to store for third time, but got to pick kids up at school first.
You know the drill by now back to lowes 9-26-19 15:38 pm, exchanged unit home finished up picking leaves on the yard. I spent a half a day trying to vacuum up leaves and working on the third unit of Black Dicker.
Motor to bag hose to short need to be a little longer, I do not like carrying a screwdriver in my back pocket to switch over from vac to blower. Do not like the location of the cord connection. Did I tell you it took three BV6600 to pick up the leaves in the front yard? I learned what the B in BV6600 stands for Back to Lowes, V is for victory the leaves are gone. Really was this product tested by consumers before marketing to work out the bugs?
I can say I’m 71 years old and have owned a lot of your tools and some still in garage but this just set me on my back BK , look for where they were assembled US and Canada, well it was not made China or was it only shipped to Canada and boxed in the USA?
There are four more units on the floor at Lowes, so I guess if three quits I’ll move on to four, five, six, seven.

Attention: James M. Loree, Chief Operating Officer January 9, 2018
Stanley Black & Decker Corporation
Reference c. 1843 (or there-abouts) Stanley Master Carpenter Tool Chest
[ORIGINAL PRISTINE CONDITION, LOCATION: SALISBURY N. CAROLINA]
Pictures upon request
Mr. Loree,
I have in my possession a Master Carpenter Stanley Tool Chest, verified by it’s original patina, style, condition, hardware, & impeccable sturdy & stylish design, to be absolutely very Early Vintage Stanley, unquestionably, c. Mid- 1800s.
[Howell Lee Davis, International Society of Appraisers Member, Since 1992, Antiquities]
Based upon my research this chest could date back to as early as the time of your Original Founder Frederick T. Stanley, c.1843.. Obtaining Provenance has been very difficult because I can find no other like it in any archival references. Five (5) Tool Experts have attested that they have never seen one as historically early or even built similar to it.
There are no pictures of it on the internet. There are no chests of this historic caliber or magnitude offered on E-Bay. Librarys do not seem to show one in tool/ furniture history archives. Perhaps your Corporate Historian would know more than I.
This tool chest is in pristine useful condition & wouldd be curiously wondrous on display at Corporate Headquarters. It could set in the Visitors\’s Lobby for all to see. It could be used in advertising. It is, perhaps, one-of-a-kind, yet completely useful today, after approximately 175 years of probable daily use in it’s time. The man who used it no doubt earned his daily bread from using it’s contents & it was probably handed down father to son; Master to Apprentice. It came to me via @ public auction from the estate of a 90+ year old deceased widow as it was her late husbands who may have acquired it used or handed down from a family member. I don’t know.
The chest is a rare historic American History Gem. I can download photos. It weighs over 200# & retains it’s structural integrity with fine mitered joints, beveled cornices, 26 brass helmet head wood screws on top. The Stanley Hinges & .folding Drop Handles are authentic & original.
Please have someone contact me if you feel that the chest would have a place in your Stanley Corporate Tool Display.
IMPORTANT: If I do not hear from anyone from Stanley I will assume your company has no interest in it. I will then sell it @ Cyber-Public Auction in open bidding on the World-Wide Tool & Antiquities Market.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Howell Davis, American Historian
