The SodaStream can trace its roots back to 1903 when Guy Hugh Gilbey, a London gin distiller created a machine for aerating liquids. The machine was sold to upper class families.
In the 1920s, flavored beverages such as sarsaparilla were introduced.
In 1955, the first machine designed for use in the home was introduced.
The 1970s and 80s saw the machine’s popularity rise in the UK. Their slogan “get busy with the fizzy” became a huge success.
In 1985, the company became a subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes.
In 1998, the company was purchased by Israel based Soda-Club.
In 2010, the company went public under stock symbol SODA.
Today, SodaStream sells their home carbonation machines worldwide. Europe accounts for over 50% of their sales but a recent partnership with WalMart has boosted US sales numbers.

I have a sodastream penguin model with the glass bottles that came with it. I need replacement caps for the bottles. I can’t find them. The only ones that are available is the black screw on caps. I need the silver ones that have penguin printed on the top.
Please let me know where I can buy or order these caps. Thank you.

Dear madams/sirs,
2 years ago I have bought a sodastreamer trough Scyce shop. They delivered it here on Fuerteventura (one of the Canary Islands). Last year they also delivered the cylinders CO2 and took the empty ones back with them. Now they say that they don’t do that anymore. But there is no selling point here on Fuerteventura and they tell me to go to Las Palmas on Gran Canarias to make the exchange. This will cost me a lot of time and money. So this is really rediculous. Selling the machines on Fuerteventura and not be able to deliver the cylinders. This is very bad for the consumers here on Fuerteventura. I can as well throw away my machine, which has cost me a lot of money. Why is an international company like Sodastream work like this, this is so disappointing.

I agree – I have tried to call multiple times and you get placed on hold and you just sit there on the phone – I have aso emailed at least 5 times and get no response. As for your customer service and standing behind your products you are lacking alot.

PLEASE correct your advert text, you make Scarlet Johansson sound like an idiot!
You should not say “less sugar, less bottles” but rather “less sugar, fewer bottles”

it is impossible to place an order. your sales staff at 1-800-300-100 all hang up when asking to speak to someone who speaks English. No one at your corporate office answers my calls. Sid Skippy Marcus
