Frank Yang, an immigrant from Taiwan, decided he could make a better, cleaner trash can for the kitchen. SimpleHuman was founded in 2000 in Los Angeles, California.
The company designs, manufactures, and sells a variety of home items, many of them voice-activated, such as trash cans, soap dispensers, mirrors, and other items.
Yang originally named his company CanWorks, but as the company has evolved to include items other than trash cans, the name was changed.
While Yang mainly sold his products at retailers such as Bed Bath and Beyond and Home Depot, in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Yang decided that he should also sell his items on his website.
And like many companies, due to the interruption of the supply chain, SimpleHuman has found itself overwhelmed with orders, causing many items to become back-ordered.
Nearly all reviews are positive, whether it’s trash cans or paper towel holders.
In November 2022, the company released a cell phone cleaner and sanitizer that cleans cell phones safely in 30 seconds.
SimpleHuman maintains a corporate office in Torrance, California.

i have a return label for a package that is too large and heavy for me to bring to a fedex office. i called fedex for a pick up but they do not have the tracking number registered, so they cannot arrange for pick up. this package must be picked up, butI am unable to get this done. I have liked their products for several years, but without a live person to talk with, I will not order further from this company.

I have tried every way I can think of. Their website asks for the serial numbers of products that have no such number visible. Their BS “chat” is a lie it is just a computer urinating on you. They are crooks!

LETTER ON 9/10/22 TO CEO: Frank Yang, CFO: Ken Yang, COO: Richard Huang
SimpleHuman * 19850 Magellan Drive * Torrance, California 90502
Am fairly sure that the 24 pgs of documentation that follow won’t fit in your corporate “comments” section, so will be mailing this to each of you and giving you until 9/20/22 to respond before I post it all over the web.
Original order placed 7/2/22 for bags & XL dual trash/recycling can s/s $255; current price $300. Would love to include invoice, but can’t print it from your website.
Really a fan of your products; hope you respond quickly and appropriately because that hasn’t happened at all. Seriously, AT ALL. Do you even have a Customer Service Department?
Regards,

I have to tend to agree with Jane Lee, the last post I just saw. I have purchased over 6 wall mount paper towell holders and they all have went bad with the tension ring that is suppose to hold the paper towels in place with a little tension so they do not unravel when you pull down the paper towel to get one. I had to buy Spacer Rings to give the paper towels some kind of tension so not to unravel when you pull one. I will try and attach a picture. Customer service wants to keep sending me out new ones, but what is the point if they all do the same thing. I call the corporate office at Phone Number: (310) 436-2250, and let it ring for over 20 minutes but no answer. I want to speak the the CEO-Frank Yang’s assistant to ask why are they selling a product that does not work. but the phone just keeps on ringing and no one answers. Bed Bath and Beyond sales person said they do not sell the Simple Human Wall Mount Paper Towel Holder any longer due to issues they had with it. Something is very wrong with SimpleHuman.

Don’t forget to dial a 1 before the area code. We called and the phone answered after 1 ring

Simple Human is an unethical company that does not stand by its products. i purchased a dishrack in 2018 where the main plastic component cracked and the metal parts developed rust. this is in addition to the drain spout also breaking. i have sent in receipts, answered multiple emails, and you will still not simply replace it with another comparable dishrack since the original one has been discontinued – perhaps because it breaks and develops rust within 4 years. you have offered a merchandise credit which won’t even cover half the cost of a new Simple Human dish rack. i have also sent screen shots of your warranty where you state you will replace a defective item with an equivalent item. you are not honoring your own stated warranty.

I have to agree with you. I have had a problem with the wall mount paper towel holders and we have bought 6 of them so far, and the tension rings are very bad and I have to use ring spacers from Ace Hardware to keep the paper towels from unraveling. I tried calling customer service but they just want to send me out more of the same. I called corporate office, but that phone number just keeps ringing and no one answers. What is going on with SimpleHuman, and why does not anyone answer the phone at corporate office: Phone Number: (310) 436-2250.
