Seattle’s Best Coffee got its start as a combination coffee/ice cream shop on Whidbey Island, near Seattle, Washington. Jim Stewart operated his shop, called the Wet Whisker, by purchasing green coffee beans from local growers, then roasted and sold them fresh in bags or as cups of coffee.
In 1983, as the company began to expand, the coffee name was changed to Stewart Brothers. When shops were opened in Seattle, the name was changed again to Seattle’s Best Coffee in 1991.
The company was sold several times and, in 2003, was acquired by Starbucks.
The coffee is mainly sold online or at Starbucks, but there are about 20 remaining coffee shops around the US.
In early March of 2020, organic coffee, such as Seattle’s Best, was expected to have tremendous growth over the next 5 years.
The corporate office lists a PO Box in Seattle, Washington.

I’ve enjoyed Seattle’s Best since the 80’s. While your company has had changes, so has your coffee. I’ve thrown away at least 9-32oz bags of coffee in the last two months. It just tastes so bad. The larger bags seem to taste the worst. Now the small ones are foul.
Different coffee? Changed the roasting procedure? Whatever it is, please fix it.
