Teddy’s Bigger Burgers Corporate Office

Teddy’s Bigger Burgers was founded in 16998 by Ted Tsakiris & Rich Stula. Longtime BBQ fanatics, Ted and Rich didn’t understand why other burger restaurants were so chintzy with the size of their burgers. Friends encouraged them to start their own business.

The restaurant chain is known for it’s over the top burger and French fry sizes. Starting off with one location in Honolulu, Hawaii, the chain now has 26 locations, some corporate owned and some franchises. In 2014, the company expanded to Texas and recently, the chain has gone international with new franchises opening in Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the Philippines.

In 2018, two teen-aged employees at a franchise in Hawaii made a video that went viral on social media showing what appears to be a dead rat being fried on the grill. The restaurant was immediately closed, sanitized, and the workers involved fired. The boys refuse to say whether the rat was real or not. The chain has had no problems with the health department, however, co-founder Ted Tsakiris says this prank has cost his company a minimum of $100k.

Bush’s Chicken Corporate Office

Bush’s Chicken was founded in Waco, Texas, in 1996 by Keith and Charlene Bush. The restaurant chain is best known for it’s southern-styled fried chicken and sides that include fried okra, fries, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, yeast rolls, and macaroni and cheese. Bush’s Chicken also offers sweet tea and unsweetened ice tea sold by the gallon jug.

The company has approximately 90 locations in 4 states, with a mix of both franchises and corporate-owned stores. Many locations in Texas offer old-fashioned car hop service, which is popular with locals.

In late 2012, the chain was hit with a lawsuit in which a woman claimed her husband died from salmonella poisoning after eating at Bush’s Chicken. Based on medical evidence at the trial, the jury concluded that Bush’s Chicken was not responsible for the man’s death.

In June of 2018, multiple locations suddenly closed their doors with no explanation. The restaurant chain had been briefly sold, but second generation Bush family members repurchased the restaurant chain.

In October 2020, the company introduced a new sandwich, the Bushbaby Chicken Sandwich.

Shake Shack Corporate Office

Shack Shack started off as a humble hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in 2001. The stand became so popular that it was forced to move to a brick and mortar building in 2004. The move allowed founder Daniel Meyer to expand the menu to include hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes. The company states it uses organic, antibiotic and hormone free Angus beef products only.

Since it’s inception in 2004, the company has become one of the fastest growing fast food chains in the US. In 2014, the company went public on the NYSE under the ticker symbol: SHAK.

Shake Shack is also in a number of international cities, including London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Moscow, Seoul, and Kuwait, to name a few. There are more than 200 US locations. The company does not do franchising.

The company also offers other non-food items including Shake Shack T-shirts, sunglasses, and other accessories, called Shack Swag.

In August of 2018, the company announced that it was delaying the opening of new restaurants and that annual revenue of between $446 million and $450 million was to be expected, even though this was below previous estimates of $452.3 million. This announcement caused stock prices for the company to fall.

Stocks rebounded in mid-2019, with overall prices up more than 30% for Shack Shack.

BurgerFi traces its roots bacak to founder John Rosatti’s restaurant ” The Office” in Delray Beach, Florida, and its all-natural Angus “CEO Burger” that instantly became the restaurant’s top seller and most talked about item. Rosatti envisioned taking his award winning burger beyond Delray’s famed Atlantic Avenue and spreading its appeal across America. From this vision, the “BurgerFication of the Nation” began.

The company offers only Angus prime cut hamburgers, hand cut French fries, custards, and a variety of craft beers and wine. In mid-2018, the company released their chicken burger featuring free-range chicken breast meat. The company is best known for organic, antibiotic-free meats and recently earned an A rating from Consumer Reports and numerous other groups.

Vanessa Chavez grew up in Oakland, California, where eating with her multicultural family was a tradition that was not to be broken. After traveling for 7 years to her grandmother’s homeland of Peru and learning cooking skills from her Chinese/Peruvian mother and Cuban/Mexican father, Chavez knew she had to open her own restaurant.

The first location was at the local Jack London Square Farmer’s market, but business was so brisk that people were soon lining up around the block. Chavez added other locations at a variety of Farmer’s market’s in the area, but soon people were asking when they would open a more permanent restaurant. Their first brick and mortar restaurant is located in the Temescal area of Oakland, but Chavez says that soon they will need to open a second location.

In July 2014, San Francisco Magazine listed the company as having the Best Fish Tacos in the Bay area. The restaurant offers a wide range of interesting tacos and sandwiches, including her grandmothers pulled pork Peruvian tacos and sandwiches, along with fried snapper and plantains, fried tilapia tacos, and spit-roasted chicken.
