Pie Five Pizza was founded in 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas, originally as Pizza Inn. The company operates a chain of fast-food pizza restaurants. The focus of the company is that they can make a personal-sized pizza in 5 minutes.
The company began franchising operation in 2013. Currently, there are 98 locations in 19 states. Owners state that they have 400 franchises in various stages of completion. The company pulled all but 2 locations in Illinois, closing 8 or the 9 location in Chicago due to heavy competition. In 2015 alone the company opened 50 locations.
The company is owned by the RAVE restaurant group and operates as a subsidiary. The new CEO, Scott Crane, recently left Smashburger to operate the pizza chain and hopes to increase sales.
The company announced the opening of their first franchise in the state of Oregon in July 2019.
Pie Five Pizza offers four different crusts, including classic pan, crispy thin, gluten-free, and traditional Italian. In addition to pizza, the company offers salads and desserts, as well as beer in most locations.
Scott Crane, just appointed as CEO in 2017, was ousted in mid-2019. A new CEO has yet to be named.

We were the only customers there when we began ordering and there were 3 workers. We felt super rushed and it made me flustered and I start messing up what i was ordering. By the time our order got put in the oven my son was telling me they didnt put his pineapples on his pizza and it was too late because our pizzas were shoved in the oven and a line has started to show up. The music was extremely loud so the guy making my sons pizza probably just didnt hear him say pineapple. At the register i didnt have my phone pulled out so the guy told me to just do it later. I got my phone out anyway and the app was already open, because i checked it b4 coming into the store. He huffed a bit because i guess he wasnt ready to scan the app for me. I paid and he hopped over to the next customer. I went over to grab my food and I had asked for basil and magic dust and garlic butter for the breadsticks. By the time he came and put the magic dust on and basil and grabbed the garlic butter, our meal was cold. The crust was not what we normally get from pie5 as far a quality. The garlic butter was bitter, cold and very thick. Gross. I felt like a barbarian trying to tear a bite off because it was cold and very chewy. I ended up taking the sun dried tomatoes off because they tasted very bitter or sour. Ive never experienced that here. They ruined the taste of the whole pizza. Not to mention i dont like cold pizza. We were very disappointed ewth our $30 worth of food. It was our favorite mom/son lunch spot. We dont get to go out often so this made me feel like i wasted my money.

In Owasso, Oklahoma Husband and I each ordered a bundle : pepperoni pizza + 20 oz. Drink for 6.99. They charge us 5.99 per pizza and 1.99 per drink. That would put each of our meals at 7.98. I had to show the manager on their huge menu on the wall where it said pizza + drink for 6.99. Manager then went back to work without resolving the issue.

Went to Pie 5 in North Arlington and ordered a Margherita Pizza. Gentleman worker put all ingredients on dough except for basil and then told me we don’t have basil. How the heck do you make a Margherita pizza without basil?!? He then offered to replace with cilantro which I replied no. My friend was next and ordered a spinach Alfredo pizza and was told there was no spinach! Then he tells us there is no traditional dough, no pepperoni, and no sausage. Then my 3rd friend was told there was no Dr Pepper! And this was at noon, not at the end of the day. This was my 1st and my last time to visit your restaurant. I feel sorry for your employees, for not having access to what they need to make yo
their customers happy. I must give kudos to them for trying to explain the situation in a calm, cool matter to many people who were in line after me and my friends.

Charged me for a pizza and failed to deliver it. I used to go every week. You just lost a loyal customer!

I live in the Waco, TX area. Love the pizza, but I will not return to this restaurant! Arrived an hour and a half before closing time, but could not order thin crust because they already cleaning the machine. Not happy, but whatever. So we ordered & while waiting on our pizza, I went to use their restroom, but access was denied because that closes 2 hours before they close. Luckily I did not have to go that bad, but I will not support a business that denies customers access to their restrooms. No pizza is worth that humiliation!

Walked in and placed an order for 7 pizzas. The girl starting our order couldn’t get the crusts for the order correct. As we were clarifying a very rude manager with a bull ring in her nose came to the counter with an attitude just as ugly as she was and yelled for clarification instead of asking. She then turned and slammed the crusts on the back counter mid evening rush. I informed them that the behavior would not be tolerated and suggested that she lose the attitude. She deserved more but I did not want to compromise my character. You lost good business from a huge family! Try monitoring your locations better because your reviews are consistently terrible.

Afternoon,
Our last 2 visits to Pie five pizza in York, PA- have resulted in hair in our food- to which I will be reaching out to the health department.
This last visit not only was it a horrible experience in that we waited and clarified our order several times but they also forgot my sons cinnamon sticks. After asking twice for them, they threw them in and said that they had some issues. Finally after sitting, for 10 mins, the lady, who said that she was the s tore manager, Kayla said that she would issue a refund for the cinnamon sticks since we had to wait so long. Unfortunately, my son still wanted them, this is the reason he likes to come there. Finally, when they came out they had hair through them. This is the second time that we have had hair throughout our food. No one wears hair nets, the girls there have their hair everywhere on their head to include the manager. Its not even in a nice bun its just everywhere- a messy pull up of hair. I took the cinnamon sticks back and advised the manager that they had hair throughput them and she said- huffy and puffy- “well I guess we can remake t hem”. You guess- seriously? I am NOT impressed I gave this place a second chance after the first time- we have a family of 5 to which we spent almost $50.00 each time we come in there and you guess you can remake them is unacceptable. Not to mention the lousy attitude that we were given after we had to wait for what they forgot.
Just an FYI- word of mouth is by far the strongest means of advertisement any business can have and I will not be recommending this at all. I also submitted an online feedback experience about this and would you believe I never heard a peep. This does not surprise me one bit. If you continue on the path of this Pie Five Pizza will not be existing much longer.

My husband and I went in tonight and I went to order my pizza first so my husband could sit down and feed our 8 month old son. I told the young girl at the register that my husband would come right after me and order his and pay for both of ours. Him and I switched so he could order. There were a few ladies in front of him. My son started screaming so I was trying to walk around with him and calm him down. They called for my pizza to be picked up but I couldn’t get it at the time. My husband was going to grab both when he paid. Apparently when you don’t pick up your pizza right away they start handing out slices of your pizza to strangers and coworkers. That’s what they were doing to my pizza. My husband walked up to me and said let’s go, they are giving away your pizza. The employees were yelling at him and my husband replied with “did you not see my wife standing here with my son? How could she get her pizza?” They started yelling at us and DETRICK called me a XXXXXX. I pointed out the young guy that took my order and explained that I told the girl that my husband would be right behind to pay for both of our pizzas. He didn’t know how to do a refund which is kind of sad for a so called manager so he told them to just take 20$ out of the drawer and he would fix it later. A few of the guys came out from behind the counter like they were coming at my husband which I didn’t appreciate. We both work in restaurants. They are very immature and unprofessional. You need to hire adults. Not children. We won’t ever be back.
