Jeff David opened his first pet store, PetBarn, in 2004. Glen Richards opened Greencross Vet in the building next door. These two companies decided to merge into a one-stop shopping/veterinarian service in 2013. The name PetBarn remains.
PetBarn currently has 140 locations with Greencross Vet 130 locations. Some Greencross vets are located inside PetBarn stores.
PetBarn offers pet supplies, food, toys, grooming services, and, in some instances, veterinarian services.
In 2014, annual revenue was $443 million and in 2019, annual revenue grew to $637.7 million.
Greencross is Australia’s largest pet care company. It was acquired by TPG Capital in 2019.
In April 2020, PetBarn began offering nationwide, same-day delivery service.
Due to the coronavirus, PetBarn also began offering curbside service, where items could be ordered online and picked up at the chosen location, with employees loading the purchase right into the car. This allows for a minimal amount of human contact.
PetBarn maintains a corporate office in Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia.

Very disappointed with the level of service from your penrith store .
Was totally ignored by a team member kept me waiting 10min as she preferred to chat and drink Pepsi at the front counter with another team member .
Finally when I asked if someone was actually going to serve me and she came to the heat lamp section she totally ignored me while I was asking questions about the heat lamps ! My husband actually asked her if she was going to reply to us in regards to our questions .
We walked out without purchasing a heat lamp or anything else I was going to purchase today and went to another pet store .
I did call the store manager Daniel but I was not confident that he took the matter seriously this is why I am writing this email to you as this level of service is absolutely terrible I give it a 0 out of 10

This morning, I went all the way to the Ferntree Gully PETBARN to get the fish pond water’s Kh level tested. Cristy, who served me, said that they don’t test Kh at the facility, abruptly. However, when I took the sample to the next closest PETBARN, the friendly, polite & professional staff did all six tests without any hesitation.
I want to find out whether the above incident was in line with PETBARN policy? Was Cristy having a bad day? Was Cristy trying to get rid of me to avoid the testing?

Petbarn have not the faintest idea of Customerservice. I have left phone messages expecting a callback ( hasn’t happened) sent emails expecting a response ( hasn’t happened) . Staff at double bay pretty much disinterested.
Based on your total disregard for long term customers I will investigate other options for my pets
