Grove has pledged to go plastic free by 2025. It partnered with Plastic Bank and rePurpose Global to collect and recycle ocean-bound plastic to offset its plastic footprint.

History

As of 2021, some of the company’s products can be purchased at major retailers, such as Target and more recently, CVS.

In July 2022, the company announced plans to sell its products in major supermarkets, such as Kroger, and its health/beauty products via Kohl’s.

Drew Barrymore is one of Grove’s most well-known spokespersons, frequently seen in commercials during prime time.

Boxabl Casita Corporate Office

Boxabl Casita

Industrial designer and mechanical engineer Paolo Tiramani, along with his son Galiano Tiramani and engineer Kyle Denman founded Boxabl in 2017.

The company mass-produces manufactured homes that can be shipped and set up anywhere in the world. These tiny homes can be assembled in about one hour with collapsible walls and a roof.

Depending on the configuration and size, each unit sells for about $50,000. Two or more units can be combined to create larger homes.

History

Tiramani plans on creating multi-family homes and suburban mansion-styled homes.

Each “casita” is manufactured in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company says that it can manufacture one casita every 90 minutes.

Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, confirmed that he purchased a Boxabl Casita to use as a guest house in 2022.

Each Casita is 20 feet by 20 feet square, offering about 375 feet of living space including all kitchen appliances and a full bathroom with a tub.

The company has been flooded with orders since 2020. Currently, there is a 70,000-person waitlist.

Back in 1973, David Alexander started his own lawn care business in Troy, Michigan. The company quickly grew and in 1992, ServiceMaster acquired TruGreen.

ServiceMaster spun off TruGreen in 2015 just before ServiceMaster went public. TruGreen opened it’s own corporate office in Memphis, Tennessee.

TruGreen offers professional lawn care and landscaping services to clients in all 50 states.

History

In 2016, TruGreen acquired Scotts Lawncare. While Scotts Miracle Gro company still provides products for customers, their lawn service division was acquired by TruGreen and the name Scotts Lawncare was discontinued.

Bob Vila of This Old House recently featured TruGreen (August 2022) as one of the best lawn care companies in America. It is quite common to find the TruGreen name listed as one of the best lawn care companies on many sites, including Marketwatch.

In February 2022, the company was hit with a class action lawsuit claiming robocalls are violating the law.

In 1995, Sol Khazani and Mehran Nia founded US Auto Parts Network, Inc. Founded in California, the company moved to online sales in 1996 under the CarParts.Com domain name.

In addition to its online website, the company also lists items on eBay and Amazon.

While the company employs about 335 employees in the US- there are about 500 employees in the Philippines who operate the call center, website development, as well as the back office.

History

For the first quarter of 2020, CarParts.com reported record net sales, the highest quarterly sales in the history of the company. Gross profit of $29.8 million in the first quarter of 2020 was the highest quarterly gross profit in nearly a decade.

In 2021, the company constructed a new warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida, to expedite orders.

With new car prices skyrocketing, CarParts.Com is profiting by offering new and used parts for older cars.

CarParts.Com maintains a corporate office in Peru, Illinois.

Jack Miller realized that companies needed to buy office supplies. He borrowed $2,000 from his father-in-law and opened a small “warehouse” using a back room of his father’s poultry shop in 1956.

Along with Jack’s brother Harvey, the pair created marketing strategies and produced a small mail-order catalog.

Quill became one of the first office supply mail-order companies in the US.

History

Today, Quill serves more than one million small and medium-sized businesses across the USA. While at least 70 percent of all sales are now completed online, the business also still has a mail-order catalog and a direct sales venue.

In 1998, Staples acquired Quill for $685 million. Quill remains one of Staples most profitable subsidiaries.

In 2007, JD Powers recognizes Quill for providing Outstanding Customer Service.

In 2008, Quill launched “the green scene” initiative with environmentally friendly products and business practices.

In 2015, the company picked up green kitchenware manufacturer TrueChoicePack.
