Bullet Blocker was founded in 2007 by former Sheriff’s Deputy and serviceman Joe Curran in Lowell, Massachusetts. The company makes bullet proof vests, jackets, and other items.

After Columbine, Curran wanted to somehow protect his children at school. He began by cutting up bullet proof vests and fitting them into his children’s backpacks. Soon he was making these backpacks for family members and friends. Today, Bullet Blocker makes a vareity of products, all designed to help people and children feel more safe when away from home.

The company makes briefcases, backpacks, carry on bags, vests, purses, jackets, compression vests, as well as a wide variety of clothing. Company headquarters are currently located in Lowell, Massachusetts. Bullet Blocker began with just Curran, but today employs approximately 10 persons. In 2015, the company expanded to a new 7,000 square foot facility to meet increasing demand.

Buck’s Ice Creams Corporate Office

Buck’s Ice Creams was founded in Milford, Connecticut, by Charles Buck in 1950. Buck originally began by selling ice cream to restaurants, selling out of his truck. Today, there are 17 locations throughout the state, as well as a location operated at the University of Missouri.

The company offers gelato’s, ice cream, ice cream desserts, frozen yogurt, and sorbets. The University of Missouri operates one location, run by students, with profits going to the football team. Retiring employees donated used Cushman carts, which were redesigned on campus to hold ice cream freezers, allowing the product to be sold during the summer months all over campus.

Buck’s Ice Creams is still family owned and operated, with headquarters in Milford, Connecticut. The company delivers bulk ice creams throughout the state, as well as offering ice cream cakes and cheese cakes.

Brides and Beyond was founded in St. Henry, Ohio, in 1996 by current business partners Gina McKibben and Jodi Knapke. The company sells bridal gowns and other formal dresses.

The company was originally located in a smaller building on Kremer-Hoying Road in St. Henry, but moved into a larger location as the business grew. The 6,000 square foot boutique services customers throughout Ohio and Indiana. In addition to offering dresses, the company has a “design studio” where they help customers design out their dream wedding day.

Brides and Beyond carries brand name designer dresses by Mori Lee, Martina Liana, Essense of Australia, David Tutera, Stella York, and Jasmine Couture. Company headquarters remain in St. Henry, Ohio.

The company has seen tremendous growth, starting off with zero stores and only a franchising concept, to more than 25 locations by the end of 2012. By offering organic, fat free yogurt and more than 50 toppings each day, the company tries to be different than other frozen yogurt restaurants. To increase sales, many locations offer other items, including ice cream and smoothies.

YoFresh Yogurt Cafe has come under fire recently from franchises who claim that the company, which has no company owned stores, has no real interest in their product or their franchises, who seldom receive advice or consultations on their current business. Mazda sold more than 26,000 vehicles in the first 6 months of 2016. Former CEO Jim O’Sullivan retired in 2015 and was replaced by global sales CEO Masahiro Moro.
