71 yo male lives by self, having surgery next week and needed a housecleaner (for first time ever) because I’ll have someone in my home staying to help me recover. Called three franchises until finally called Molly Maid of Southwest Dallas and Northern Ellis Counties and woman said “yep, you’re in our area” and booked appointment. And who the hell would tell you they’ll clean your house and show up sometime between 8 & 5? That was my sign. Surprise, they were A NO SHOW. I called at 4:00 pm and woman who answered phone said “your not in our area, and I have no record of your call whatsoever”. According to the map on their webpage, yes, I am in their area. Woman offered zero solution. Not ‘oh, we can come tomorrow or the next day’ or ‘would you like to rebook?’, nothing…Called back to say, “I’ve opened your website again and yes, I am in your area”, but they did not answer my call. This is what happens when you deal with a local franchise who cares little about their business and flies under a corporate banner who really cares only about the money, not about service or anything else. HEY, WE ARE PEOPLE! and we are your customers. If anyone, for the rest of my life, mentions the name of this outfit, I’ll give them an ear full. What a JOKE you people are. Damn sure wish I had checked this site first, shame on me.
I worked for Molly Maids out of Loveland Co and absolutely loved working for Jim and Nick … Ann is rude and talks down to the girls she doesn’t favor! I also loved working with Viv and all the girls it was so nice being able to work there!! They were there for me when my mom got cancer and I needed time off with the proper proof of course and needed time off because my family got COVID shortly after my mom’s cancer surgery then I had an awful scheduling nightmare with my son ! I decided to walk away because I felt I was leaving them in a bad spot! When I tried to go back first I was told it was because I gave them a bad social media review them told they went above and beyond to work with me and that they do get notifications on reviews and that I was hired to do a job from 8 to 5 . So why am I really not being rehired? Discrimination, bad social media reviews, child care issues ? I don’t understand you will work with every other person and their families but I’m told to bad!!? You rehire felons, people that can’t drive and people that can’t clean but I supposedly leave a bad review and I’m the problem!!??? Sounds like it’s BS reason for not rehiring me!!

I’ve used the Molly Maids here in Glasgow Scotland twice, for a deep clean. The first time the service was good. The second time it was abysmal. They did not touch the higher shelves which I was told would be done during my quote and had been done the first time. They also charged me more than what was in the quote, but being disabled I was quite desperate to have the work done so I paid the higher amount by credit card before the cleaners came. In addition to not doing much of the work they had done the first time on the higher shelves, what they did do was poorly done, there was dust everywhere. I didn’t realize this until they left as I trusted them, I even gave them a tip. It was only after they left and I examined the flat that I realized what a bad job had been done. They returned the following day after I called to complained to ‘re-dust’ much of the flat, but still didn’t do the high shelves because it takes 3 steps up to reach them and the limit is two. I must stress again that I was told during the quote that these could be done and also that they were done during my first cleaning. I addition, when they came back the second day to re-do they work they had neglected, one of the women was very sullen and slightly aggressive. I want to stress that this was not Carol, who was polite, but the second cleaner whose name I think, was Jeanette? I feel entitled to at least a partial refund but my request was refused when I rang the office. I am now in touch with the Citizens Advice Bureau, have made a formal complaint and intend to take this further. I hope I am writing to the right place as I am in Glasgow UK – if not, can you send me the UK information?
I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE THEM A 1 STAR RATING, MAYBE -2. THEY NEVER CLEANED THE TOILET BOWLS LEFT MARKS AND FOOT PRINTS IN THE MASTER BATHROOM. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY WORK.

I CANNOT EVEN THINK TO GIVE A 1 STAR RATING TO THE TEAM WHO CAME TO MY HOME TO CLEAN– THEY WALKED IN SUCKING ON LOLLIPOPS- — BOTH NAMED MARIA– HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE IS ALL I CAN SAY– THE ONE WHO SEEMED TO BE THE LEADER WAS OK AT BEST– THE OTHER ONE? HORRIBLE, SHE CLEANED MY BATHROOMS– I WENT IN TO SEE IT……FAUCET NOT WIPED, FLOOR AROUND TOILET NOT CLEANED, TOP OF TOILET IN BACK WAS NOT TOUCHED. VENT NOT EVEN WIPED.. CANNOT TELL YOU HOW DISGUSTED I WAS WITH THIS TEAM, THEY DIDN’T EVEN WIPE A WINDOW SILL, AND MY KITCHEN? THE STOVE WAS NEVER WIPED NOR THE OVEN DOOR, THE WATER COOLER WAS NOT DUSTED, I WENT INTO MY ROOM AFTER THEY LEFT AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN BARELY VACUUM, FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD AND SHAME SHAME SHAME ON THIS TEAM AND THEIR BOSS FOR HIRING SUCH DISGUSTING WORKERS…. I have had your company out three times and every time the work has been below average work. I have had to call and then today I get a nasty response back, put on hold for a very long time, I hung up never got a call back. I then went to their fb page and they tried to portray it as though it was my fault. I posted pictures of their work they then block me and take the post down. The pictures are from my correspondence with them and they agreed with me. Now they are being very condescending instead of being held accountable.
