By 1950, the company had more than 1 million customers and in 1974, the company printed its first all color catalog. The company opened their website in 2000.
Today, the company has changed names to Silver Star Brands, Inc., but they still provide a variety of consumer goods via mail order or online orders. Silver Star Brands also include other mail order companies that have been acquired over the years, including Walter Drake and Easy Comforts.

I guess I had to live & learn as well. I had placed an order & over a week later I contacted them because it was still stating items were picked & had not shipped yet. I called & the automated stated the order was still being processed. I finally got to talk to a representative that was so rude with an attitude. They don’t listen to any issue & only repeat the 1 screen they have in front of them. I asked to speak to a supervisor – she only kept repeating that there was none available. Every time I tried to talk – she would cut me off. Then she was just going to hang up on me. Don’t know about anyone else – but where I work; if I did that I would be walked out on the spot. If I ever do receive the items – this will be the last order I ever give them. As someone before stated – they must not care if they lose customers, Fighting with this company is not worth the hassle & high blood pressure they give you. It is enough to have a stroke & they do not care!! Please – believe the reviews from this company!

The most well-known divisions of this rube retailer –Miles Kimball and Walter Drake– are no longer, in any recognizable sense, AMERICAN entities: Though Silver Star’s Oshkosh overseers try clumsily to position those (formerly respectable) enterprises as folksy guardians of Main Street values….
….every English-speaker who ever has attempted to deal with Miles Kimball and/or Walter Drake’s predominantly third-world “associates” knows that this stance is a joke–indeed, an even bigger joke than those divisions’ glitch-afflicted websites, or their catalogue copywriters’ ostentatious poses of religious piety.
Though it’s not worth my time to:
***dig out data on compensation packages for Silver Star’s executives; then,
***compare those emoluments with wages paid to the company’s often (literally) incomprehensible chatterbox
Filipino/Filipina CSRs….
…. it is likely that the latter set of figures would, to some extent, explain the former.

Well I have just ordered for the last time. Order on hold. Called preferred credit. Informed I was over my $25 credit limit?? I was floored. Her excuse was they must have not found much on your credit report. Very good score, all kinds of credit, and they could not find anything. Had to pay $40 for shipping my stuff because I was overlimit. Makes no sense. Their customer service is horrible.

I am a very dissatisfied customer. I placed an order with a coupon for $10.00 off my order and free shipping on a certain amount ordered. I received the merchandise and said that I owed $9.14 more. Called customer service and was told I couldn’t use both coupon and free shipping. Nothing was stated in order form I couldn’t use both. Talked to Mark and he said the $9.14 was deducted off bill. I sent entire order back costing me $13.00. Got a letter saying I owed the $9.14 . Called customer service again and was told that the amount was being deducted from my refund on merchandise I returned. This is poor business and I will never buy anything from Miles Kimball again and will tell friends not to order anything .

This order was submitted back in November 2017 and return it since it arrived broken. Cancelled the order and now I am having a problem receiving my refund. It’s now June and each time I keep getting different excuses and promises from your customer service that the refund would be process and mailed to me. Would appreciate to know why I cannot get my refund for a something I do not have.
