Who is responsible for new or existing buildings/facilities for new construction or restoration for the corporation?
Stephen Hartka says
I am a Senior Sourcing representative for GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences Corp, located in Westborough, MA USA. The facility manufactures Single-Use equipment and consumables for use in biomanufacturing.
GEHC alone, drives ~$2.6M+ annually in sales to the Mettler Corporation (Scales, Load Cells, Analytical equipment, and consumables).
As a “thank you” for this volume, the North American sales representative for Mettler Ingold retracted a long standing discount from our account in 2016 due to “lack of business volume” and “no reason to continue to offer a discount”. When our customers want or need a Mettler solution, we pay list cost, causing us inflationary pricing on the GE products sold.
The Mettler AG division has had our $600K account on hold for the past three weeks, due to a $700 billing discrepancy. This “hold” is causing GE to fall behind in our ability to deliver product to our customers and is delaying product development where Mettler components are used (which, ironically, would lead to additional business with Mettler).
There is apparently no value to Mettler in doing business with GE, and frankly, I find it very unprofessional to jeopardize nearly $3M in sales over a $700 billing discrepancy.
We would very much like to have a contact and a conversation on a corporate level that can address both of these issues as well as discuss our business relationship moving forward..
