I’d like to report a complaint on Merry maids of napa! The owners there have completely mistreated me, cursed me out and refuse to ensure a safe work environment following this attack. I am having trouble finding the proper people to contact and believe that all need to be aware of the way I was treated, and the way this situation was handled. I’ve been gas lighted and ignored and would really appreciate action and assistance. Owners of napa KATE & JUSTIN

I hired Merry Maids of Tacoma to clean my home after I completed an improvement project. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the primary contact. Over the phone it was explained that the cost would be $150.00/hour with a 2 hour minimum for a crew of two. The primary contact I spoke with said she would be the 3rd cleaner to ensure the work would be completed well. Merry Maids proceeded to charge my AMEX for 1 hour which I agreed to. On the day of cleaning, 2 individuals showed up at 1000AM and the 3rd, the primary contact, showed up about 1130AM. I have no complaints about the quality of their work. They completed the cleaning to my satisfaction in 4 hours (finished at 200PM). They proceeded to charge my AMEX another $1100.00 totaling $1250.00 without my approval. When I finally was able to reach them by phone, the primary contact agreed that they overcharged by $650.00 and they would immediately issue a credit. It has been nearly 4 weeks and no credit. No one answers the phone or returns a call, nor is there another number that reaches anyone, even at their corporate Memphis office. I proceeded to file a dispute with AMEX for the $650.00 overcharge and am waiting for a resolution due on or about April 05. I am extremely disappointed with their business management potentially bordering on fraud. I am hoping for a clear resolution and the refund of the overcharge asap.

Hello Merry Maid, I’m filing a BBB complaint and need someone from you corporate office to call me . I sent an email and called and of course no response.
I had Merry maids come out to my home and clean and also your carpet guys.
Your carpet guys would not put on hotties on his feet or wear a mask. He was making me and the merry maids workers feel uncomfortable telling. He had the carpets so wet didn’t tell anyone and I slipped and fell on my bathroom floor.
Merry maids cleaners didn’t even clean my house . I had to beg them twice to clean the bathroom. They dried cleaned everything with just a microfiber towel no cleaning products nothing . No lot they used a microfiber towel .
I had the manager come out there he advise this is how you clean ?????? And took no incident report about me falling bc your carpet guy had the carpets so wet!!
I am so disappointed, dissatisfied and mad about your service . I’m thinking about calling a lawyer.
I paid 15000 for this and it was NOt worth is and I’m injury as well!!!!
I would appreciate a call back

Merrymaids scammed my 70 year old father. He paid them nearly $700 for a moving cleaning. The house was completely empty. They cleaned LITERALLY NOTHING – cabinets, counters, stove/oven, backsplash, refrigerator, toilets, showers, floors. I’m not kidding there was literally not one area cleaned. We videos of everything to show this along with a voicemail from them saying that the earliest they could offer a “redo” was 6 days later – AFTER MOVE-IN. They are NON-RESPONSIVE. It is SERIOUSLY a scam. I can’t get through to anyone other than the local office that scammed us and says they can’t issue refunds. The corporate number is not in service, and the chat representative routes you back to the local office. She also refused to give me her supervisor’s name or ask her supervisor to contact me. I’m guessing she is from the local office. I have submitted multiple contact forms with no response.

I became a customer of the St. AUGUSTINE location. Someone came for a consultation, seemed extremely professional with her IPAD. Walked around my home, gave a bunch of broken promises of great service and extra cleaning. Completed her sales pitch, fooled me and I hired them. The first cleaning had 2 professional girls. Did everything they could. Every week after was horrible service. Different girl(one, not 2 for a large home) who were always overwhelmed, according to them: understaffed and under paid. Worked to death and not treated well. It reflects on the service. Every week my house was less than satisfying and I was so angry about the lack of service. Of course they tried to hit my credit card big. I should have read reviews and not hired them. I wouldn’t recommend them to ANYONE!

I am writing this review for the Chico California merry maids where I recently worked. I was told during the interview and my hiring process that for the 1st 2 weeks I would make a certain amount of money and then after those 1st 2 weeks of training were over I would go up in my pay. I did not go up in my pay until over a month into my employment. I found out that I had been exposed to 3 different positive cauvet 19. They refused to allow me to know even though by law they are to give me a written letter signed and dated explaining what date I was exposed and that I was exposed. Then we ended up having a staff member who ended up getting ill and was still working they knew that she was ill and was still having her go out to homes and clothing myself and the other staff member who had been exposed to positive cauvet 19 tests and having us go into homes of clients who were going through chemotherapy, terminally ill comic cancer patients calm out one who had leukemia and yet they were keeping it from the employees and myself and the clients in the home that any of us had been exposed and we’re still sending us out in the homes knowing there was a possibility that we were carrying the virus. Just like the website States that they will not charge a wait fi 4 count canceling an appointment during the pandemic, yet both of these bosses still charge a late fee. They have proven time and time again that they only care about themselves in the money. I dealt with their dog biting me every time I walked into the office this dog also was allowed to urinate and poop all over the office. We also dealt with both of the bosses who continually screamed and yelled and cussed and belittled and manipulated us. They treated us like complete scum. Now they are refusing to give me my W twos. I have tried reaching out to headquarters I’ve tried reaching out to corporate I’ve sent multiple emails and no 1 will get back to me. Just like it is law that if you have to miss work due to covitt that your employers to pay you for the 1st 2 weeks and yet very fusing to pay us for 2 weeks that we had to miss due to an employee E coming down with this virus even though both of these bosses took out APP P loan no 1 not 1 employee saw any money from that period we were forced to travel in each other’s cars where there was not a 6′ roll we were told we could not drive our own vehicles to ensure that we kept our distance. Anytime we walked into the office both bosses never had a mask on and even when he did have a mask on he always was playing with it in removing it from his nose. This company is a joke I watched 6 employees quit in a matter of 3 weeks due to this environment it is a disgrace and an embarrassment. And to know that they are sending their employees into the homes of cancer patients and clients on chemo knowing they’re is a chance the employee is carrying the virus. That and I guess I am just very disgusted at the fact that I reached out to the headquarters and corporate trying to get help so that I didn’t have to quit my job because I did enjoy it. But because no one would reach back out to me and help me with such an extreme issue and it was in just 1 issue its multiple that we have the proof out and no 1 would help. So I was forced to have to quit my job because my health and my children’s health and the client’s health is way more important than any job. But the fact that these bosses who run this company Continue to treat their employees and their clients in such an abuse full manner is a disgrace for the merry maids headquarters. Because unfortunately this one company is going to give them all about name. I have even had to reach out to labor boards and all those other avenues because I could not get the help that I needed this is the worst job to ever go and apply at because you will not be treated like a human you are going to be treated like scum. In fact they treat their dog better than they treat their employees

To Whom It May Concern:
On Thursday July 27th, I contacted one of your local offices in Morgantown, West Virginia to clean a house that I recently purchased and am getting ready to move into. The house needed some basic cleaning done before I moved my furniture in and I was going on vacation so I wanted to hire someone that was going to get the basics done while I was gone for a decent price. When I called the Morgantown office I spoke to a gentleman that answered the phone. I asked if they did one time house cleaning in Mannington to which he responded that they did once every other week and he would be happy to get me on the schedule for the week I was on vacation. He asked me to text him so he could have my phone number, because he was driving, so he could call me the next day to get my credit card information to lock in the appointment. He gave me his phone number which was (304-282-2015) and we set up the appointment for Tuesday, August the 1st. I text him when we got off the phone with my email address and my house address. He called the next day to get my card information. Before giving him the card information, I asked him about pricing. He asked how big my house was. I told him it was 2,248 sq. ft. He said that should only take about 3 or 4 hours and would cost about $275-$375 at the most. I agreed. I them asked him if carpet cleaning was included and he asked me how many rooms had carpet. I told him only 2 rooms downstairs had carpet and the stairs and a very small hallway upstairs had carpet. He told me he could do that but it would be an additional $199 plus tax. I told him to go ahead and add it even though I thought that was a lot for those small spaces. I gave him my credit card information.
Today in Tuesday August 1st and I received a text from this gentleman at 4:43 PM say the crew was there from 9-3:20 and he didn’t have enough time to complete the carpet cleaning but he would go back and complete it in the morning. I said that was fine. I then got another text at 8:11PM saying that my card must have a transaction limit because he tried to run the full amount today and it was declined. So, he ran $400 today and would run the remaining balance of $544.78 over the next two days.
I was shocked at this! I asked him why it was so much more than what he quoted me and he said it was because it took longer than expected. That is unacceptable. The pricing was extremely high to begin with. Had I known it was going to cost me over $900 to clean an empty house I would have found a different cleaning company.
As I am sure your cleaning crew noticed, our town was hit last weekend with a terrible flood that cause serious damage to many homes including my brand-new home that just purchased. Luckily the flood waters didn’t get into the living area of the house, but it did get about 5 feet high in the basement covering the furnace and hot water heater. So, this causes a lot of damage and expense on top of buying a new house. I am also a single mother with 2 small children who works full time and is trying to go back to school. I called and received a quote so that I could budget for it and feel VERY taken advantage of. I should have been contacted when the cleaning crew concluded that it was going to take significantly longer than the time and price I was quoted to make sure I was ok with it. I do not feel it is right that I have to pay $900 when I was quoted half of that and I would very much appreciate something being done about it. At this point, I will not be recommending Merry Maid to anyone. In fact, if this situation cannot be resolved, my reviews on the Merry Maids company will not be satisfying in the least.
I appreciate you time and attention to this matter.
Thank you,
Kaitlyn
