Marco’s Pizza was founded in 1978 by Pascuale, “Pat”, Giammarco in Oregon, Ohio. Giammarco immigrated to the US from Italy, along with his family, when he was 9. He grew up working the family’s pizzeria, where he and his father spent years making the perfect pizza sauce. This sauce recipe is still used in all locations.
The company operates a chain of franchised pizza locations that specialize in Italian cuisine. There are approximately 1,000 franchises in the US in 2018, with more located in The Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and India.
Pizza Today ranked Marco’s Pizza as #12 on their list of Top 100 Pizza Chains in the US. Franchising World also ranked the company as #8 on their list of Up and Coming Franchise Operations. Consumer Reports places Marco’s Pizza as #3 on their list of Best Pizza Chain in 2014.
Despite the coronavirus, the company plans on opening approximately 80 new locations in 2020.
In February 2023, the company announced it had big expansion plans for Northern Virginia.

The worst place I have ever worked. The owners here at Parmer ln Austin, Tx location do not give a crap about Marcos whatsoever. This whole corporation is a train wreck. Last year I wrote corporate and explained to them what was going on and they don’t care at all. No response at all.
The owners shave our hours and now that I am doing taxes, I discovered that my deductions were done incorrectly.
So, I go to internet to locate their accountants so I can remedy this problem. Well I just found out their accountants are themselves. Funny because checks would always be late and their excuse, we haven’t received payroll because our accountants are having problems.
Work atmosphere is horrible. we have a driver who sits out in his car smoking weed while the rest of us work. Told this to owners and their response, we are ok with it?
My recommendation DO NOT WORK FOR MARCO’S you are a money-making machine that they care nothing about. Never worked for a place that if you have a problem no one to contact. Marcos infrastructure is non existent and lack of compassion for employees will lead to the downfall of Marco’s.

Have been loyal customers of Marco’s for years. To this point, since moving back to CO 3 years ago, we have literally spent thousands of dollars on pizzas from the Briar Village Point Store in Colorado Springs. I called tonight at ~ 8:20. The website showed the store being open until 9:00. Website had also said that online ordering was no longer available “please call the store.” So, I did. Rang and rang. I hung up and called again – same thing. I waited a few minutes, knowing that they are sometimes understaffed. Called the third time. The person who answered said – quite curtly – that they were “. . . actually closed.” I said that I thought they were open until 9:00. They said, again, more rudely, “We’re actually closed.” As I was trying to say that they might want to look their site over if they close earlier than the stated time of 9:00, the employee simply hung up on me. I will not tolerate being treated in that manner. So, I drove down to the store to let the manager know that one of their employees had hung up on me. I also wanted an apology. I got neither. The man behind the counter walked around from behind and toward quite aggressively. I said that I had called and been hung up on. He claimed that they hadn’t had any calls. I reiterated again, that I had called use 10 minutes ago. His response was to say that “We’re closed. We’re closed anyway.” I was told repeatedly to , “ . . . Leave the store, now.” As I left, the man who had come out from behind the counter was closing the distance on me. I turned back to keep an eye on him and asked if he was the manager. “Yes, I am.” I said, “This is a really poor way to treat a customer.” His response? “We’re closed anyway. You need to leave – now.” To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. Love your pizza and have had years of good experiences. I think someone at the corporate level should know how one of its branches is being run. Haven’t decided if Marco’s will get any more of my business or not but that branch definitely won’t.

Once again the pick up window was closed. When I walked in rain soaked , I asked the manager on duty why. His answer was bullsh*t that he needed another person to man the window. I buy my Pizza at Marcos because it is good , plus they have a pick up window. It is apparent that the manager is a slacker because he could reach the window in 3 steps from his counter position. I understand the shortage of help but Pizza sales are ” a war” and if the manager can’t push a few pick up orders out the window in a rain storm then you need to make sure this never, never ever happens again. Unit on Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, Ga. This should make your Italian blood boil, because mine is quite warm. The Pizza was very good and the manager was apologetic despite my anger. But lets put and end to this bull sh*t!

The Marco’s in Powell, TN is TERRIBLE! They messed up my order twice. When I complained the second time, the manager gave me credit for a free pizza. I thought I’d try them one last time, ordered a pizza and 2 liter. Someone brought the pizza and forgot the drink. She said she’d go get one and be back in 15 minutes. She showed up 45 minutes later. The pizza was awful too. It had way too much sauce and hardly any toppings. Definitely my last time ever. I’ve been burnt 3 times now.

So today 4-7-2021 I was on 2nd street in Willoughby Ohio. There was a female Marcos delivery driver in a red SUV parked in street blocking traffic in direction I was goin. There was another Delivery Driver from another pizza company delivering on same street who was being blocked as well by the Marcos driver ironically. I blew my horn and then decided to drive around them and the Marcos driver jumped on the gas turning into a driveway right infront of me almost hittting me as I was trying to go around. So I beeped my horn only to get her to say F**k You Tou Stupid B***h! You can go F**k Yourself. I called the Willoughby Store to hear the GM say she’d handle it????? So I asked what that means she said “talk to her.” So you let your drivers threaten everyday people who are trying to get there kids home from a long day so they can eat. Best part is I called back to see what was done and was told the GM was gone for the day????? Hmmmmm well it’s nice to know that Marcos allows there employees to threaten People cause there wrong!! Someone needs to do something. And not talk to grown adults she should of been fired on the spot for her actions !!! Marcos your a joke and a your workers are a disgrace.

I am (was) an employee of this Marcos. On March 19, 2021 there was an incident involving me and another driver named Janet. During dinner rush I went to answer the phone and had accidentally bumped into her. She then in a rage screamed in front of everyone and customers “If you bump into me again I am going to shoot you. I will kill you!” I had them called the police because I was scared. Any how not one other employee backed me up and the video footage did not have audio. The employee kept harassing me and going out the back door yelling things to me while I was in my car awaiting police. Any how the employees there are mostly relatives of the GM, Jamie or friends of hers so of course nobody had my back plus I haven’t even been there a month. During my employement I had taken pics of the health violations they continue to violate. I had also reached out to the area supervisor and heard nothing back. This GM said I could not come back and condones peoples lives being threatened. She also always several employees such as the assistant manager Ashley (who is her step daughter), her son Wayne, a driver Ken, a insider Nick and a shift lead Brenda to cap and smoke weed inside the office and outside the back door on property. The driver Janet gets paid while not in the store to move last week on March 13 because she got kicked out of her home and had to move. Jamie also allows this employee to pick up and drop off her kids even while on deliveries. She told one of Jamie’s kids friends to put the delivery bags on their laps while taking a delivery too. I am not going to stop until something is done about this. It’s not right at all my life being threatened and all the employees lied about not hearing it. They also place mess up orders on top of the clean dishes and eat it. Jamie allows people that are not employees inside the store behind the front by all the food and over crowds the office. Doesn’t follow social distancing and lots of employees even Jamie don’t have their masks on the entirety of their shift. On March 17 around 8:45 pm Janet said she had a delivery on lost nation and the customer tipped $1. She said she was making them wait because it was only a dollar and when she got their she was going to blow weed in their face.
Jamie allowed her and Jerry another driver to take the Marcos toppers home and when I confronted Janet that I saw where she lived in the apartments off Robin Hood (cause she had the topper on her car while not at work) Jamie put on “Slack” (March 13) that no employee can have toppers while not at work any more. That store looked like it had not been cleaned in years and I can not work in filth so I cleaned so much of that store myself cause I have good work ethic but I’m sure Jamie will take the credit but it should be on video and a lot of other employees seen me clean. I never seen one other driver besides myself wash their hands after coming back from a delivery either. There is hardly any hand hygiene going on in that store. They keep pop by the slop sink. They keep cleaning supplies near food. I have pics to come. The District Manager said he would get back to me after taking everyone’s statements which was about two weeks ago now ( it’s now April 4) and let me know if that driver who threatened my life would be fired , well he never did and I saw her delivering the other day! People stay away from WILLOUGHBY MARCOS ! Obviously the owner does not care that his store has employees who smoke pot and vap in the store around food, hardly wear masks over their entire faces, welcome people off the streets in the kitchen around food not employed there, have drivers that taxi teenagers around with deliveries on there laps while delivering, and threaten other employees lives!! And the DM knows about it cause I’ve seen Enrique in the office while they smoke just had no proof and his a** is lucky otherwise he would be out of a job too.

I ordered 2 Italian subs from the 30th St. location in Canton Ohio on 06/03/2020. The subs were cold the ham slices were so thick it seemed that was the only meat on the sub. The cheese was cold and clumpy and for some reason the taste was different. Very disappointed.

Kind of the same situation here but a little bit different.
Store number 5142 in Austin the owners of the store let go of the GM we had and hired another GM.
This new GM hires his brother-in-law and gives him total favoritism and privilege.
His brother-in-law can show up one to two hours late and on one occasion four and a half hours late his brother-in-law can smoke marijuana in the parking lot while on the clock. it’s okay as he’s going to make him a lead even though his brother-in-law is constantly late every single day while everybody else works their tail off!
If someone other than his brother-in-law is late by 5 or 10 minutes the general manager razzes that person and his brother-in-law is sitting there saying he’s going to write them up!
This is what goes on at this Marcos and this is why I quit!
It’s been almost a month and I haven’t even received my last paycheck I called the owner of the Marco store and she said that she was sending my check and it’s been well over 3 weeks now and I haven’t received anything?

I really doubt this stuff is even looked at but here goes nothing. When I had a complaint about a few things the GM of the store called me and he reply to most is it is up to me to contact corporate over complaints he needs to move up the ladder not us. Well in Dayton Ohio dont order a med pizza from them and pay over 21.00 there are other places just as good out there with just as fresh stuff on your pizza for way less. Marcos pizza has good food dont get me wrong but price point is going to be the down fall and my problems were not resolved by a stupid young kid put as a GM. My order was 2 med pizzas and price was 28.40 with a coupon you all need to get real on your prices marcos has lost a customer that orders pizza about 4 to 5 times a month when i can get 3 pizzas for that price just as good. Its a shame marcos dont care about the customers are the complaints they get maybe start reports to the BBB will start to wake them up a little. If I dont get some type of help from them BBB is my next step and word of mouth hurts bad also.

I usually order from our local Marcos in Henderson, nv.
Much to my disappoint this is the second time that the people taking the order have been distracted while on the phone and don’t get the order right and have not gotten the price correct. Each time, ordering the and thing, the price has been different. We like the pizza but it is getting difficult to keep ordering from them if this is going to persist.
I can only hope that someone actually reads this and respond.

Congrats to Marcos for officially becoming even worse than Dominos Pizza. I have had enough with paying for a company’s lack of quality control and outright fraud and lies. The store here in Hutto,TX is an absolute f-ing joke! Any and EVERY single time I order they screw the WHOLE order up. It’s been a while and thought I would give them a try since I just wanted some salads- HUGE mistake on my part. Again, as ALWAYS, they f-ed it up. How hard is it to get an order, read it and make it correctly? Don’t worry Marcos, it’s rehtorical. You should just rename your company can’t get right- because you NEVER do! Anytime I order I have to finishing cooking it in my own oven. Order a salad? Nope! DON’T think so- you can’t even get that right. I have to call the manager everytime and all I hear is, “sorry, we’re really busy.” Well from now on so is my banking account. I will never order from this stupid, worthless f-ing piece of sh*t company again! You can’t even make a salad correctly. I recommend you f-ing a-holes try drug testing your employees. Otherwise, fold up shop. Your lack of capability is NOT going steal from me ever again or waste my time. This isn’t even just the Hutto Texas location- it’s all of them! Don’t f-ing waste my time trying to buy me off with coupons, you’ve lost my business forever! I should be suing you for mental stress and duress as well as false advertising. Infact, I think I will. Congrats again, you’re now officially worse than Dominos.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the service that I’ve been receiving. I placed an order online for it to be canceled and nobody said anything about it. I called and was told that the driver was going too far and it was the last delivery so my order was canceled. It is ADVERTISED delivery until 12. That should mean ORDERS accepted until 12 and then delivered. I WORK IN A PIZZA SHOP. THAT’S HOW WE DO THINGS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND I WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN!

This evening (April 25, 2020) at 4:45 p.m. CST was my first time ordering on-line due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I placed the order (large chicken floretine pizza) which I thought was a delivery order. Shortly, afterwards I received a call from one of the workers informing me they were out of spinach and if I would like to substitute with another vegetable that would be fine. After we hung up, I called back within 5 minutes to make sure I ordered the thin crust (on-line) and another worker answered the call and apologized because they had already put the pizza in the oven. My response was “I’m sorry would it be okay for me to get that changed to thin crust and she kept apologizing; so therefore, I asked to speak with the manager to explain I’m a regular customer and I’ve never ordered on-line and I wasn’t sure whether I hit the thin crust radio button and she put me on hold and said the order would be changed to thin crust. Okay, one hour goes by and I’m thinking they must really be busy due to the pandemic. I called at 6:14 to ask about the order and a worker said they were walking out the door with the order. I’m about 3-4 miles away. I called back around 7:10 to ask what was taking so long and that’s when I verified with the worker that was a delivery order, right? She said, no that was a carry out order and the pizza had been sitting on the warmer for 2 hours and she will try and find a driver to deliver it or she can ask the manager to make another pizza. The manager (unidentified) gets on the phone and starts yelling at me saying I’ve been harassing the workers and do not call back to the store ever again and my account will be flagged with an X. I’m really not believing what I’m hearing because the order was never verified and it was a clear case of miscommunication. I have never been treated so rudely and nasty from Marcos Pizza. I was trying to support my local restaurant and plus I was tired of cooking and decided to treat myself to a pizza. Well that did not happen. Please feel free to contact me about this totally blown out of proportion situation.

Ordered 2 pizzas tonight at 9:21, paid with debit card to feed my kids and grandchild, was charged for the pizzzas overdrafting my account in order to feed my kids so that’s my fault, but had to feed my kids, was to be delivered, the order was processed and tracking was up on my phone, said delivery time would be 33min. An hour later I go to look what the issue is and it said closed. Now I know from experience if it was closed at time of order it would not allow you to order for delivery at all, instead of calling me to tell me they would not be delivering the order.. they just shut down and I had to go onto my app to find out they instead canceled my order and went home.. no courtesy call to say oh sorry we will not be coming.. so now I have a pending charge that will have a charge of 34.00 extra ..I would have not had the issue of paying that under the circumstances that I had to feed my family.. but instead I can’t buy dinner now because they were open to charge my account but not to have the decency to call me and tell me we would not be eating tonight! ? thank you guys for that tonight!! Very much appreciated that!! Well worth the 55$ I’ll be paying for my hungry kids and grandchild!!

I have had problems the last 2 times I ordered pizza from you store on NorthPark Drive in Kingwood, TX. I placed an order on 4/9 for 5 pizza one of them was to be Gluten friendly. When the pizza’s arrived the was no marking to tell me which Pizza was Gluten Friendly. I called the store and asked them how I was suppose to identify which was the Gluten Friendly Pizza and the last said it has the white ring in the center. I explained to her that all the pizzas has the little white ring in them. The lady then put her manager on the phone. She proceeded to tell me that the pepperoni was the Gluten Friendly pizza. Well that would be find had I not ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas. I started to get irritated when she kept insisting that the Gluten Friendly pizza had the white ring. She finally told me she had no clue which pizza was Gluten Friendly and the only thing she could do was put a free Gluten Pizza on my account for the next time I ordered. Tonight I ordered 4 pizzas for delivery and then called the store to have them add the free Gluten Pizza onto my order only to be told the manager didn’t make any notes on my account so there was nothing they could do. This is unacceptable behavior for a pizza chain. If a manager says they are going to do something they should do it, Someone as serious as a Gluten allergy should not have to worry about getting sick from eating pizza from a chain that serves Gluten Friendly pizza. You need to do a better job training your staff to have better customer service skills.

Just had a bad incident with a worker at your Conyers, GA location. Her name was LIZ, she have a Jamaican accent. She asked me in a very nasty tone to get out of the restaurant because it should be just one person in the place at one time. I didn’t have a problem with standing outside it was just her tone and her raising her voice. If it was something on the window or door I would have known to not come inside. It’s black women like her that make a person act crazy. One day she will do that to the wrong person and will regret it,

Every time I order through the website I receive an email to participate in a survey which promises a code for a free Cheesy Bread. However, every time I am given coupon code (TELL1202) and I enter it on the next order it is rejected because it expired over a year ago. This has happened 4 times in the last 4 weeks. Poor website maintenance or empty promises?

In the times of Covid 19, I would expect employees to be much more aware of hand hygiene. I ordered a pizza at the Ofallon, MO., location yesterday. Watched an employee eat her lunch, not wash hands, answer phone, not wash hands and go back to eating. Watched the pizza be prepared , cooked and removed from the oven by a gentleman, I did not witness any handwashing/sanitizing…in fact I didn’t see any sanitizer, who obviously thought that touching his hair and sideburns (at least he had on a hat) was pretty important. I paid $17 dollars for the food, did not eat and threw away…I will not be back…

My husband and I are regular (weekly) customers of Marco’s, but we may have very well just placed our last order.
I’ll give you the short version because, quite frankly, I am absolutely livid and too upset to sit here behind my keyboard on what is supposed to be “date night” and spend an hour writing a short story that ends badly.
We ordered a pizza (order #728). The pizza was delivered. The pizza had approximately ONE ounce of cheese on it. Let me put that into perspective for you. ALL of the toppings ended up either on the floor or on our lap because there was NOTHING for it to stick to! My husband called the store (#2050). After ringing for nearly three minutes, an idiot answered the phone. She claimed she could not issue an account credit because we already had one on our account from LAST YEAR (a credit of which we were unaware and was NOT used on the 50 pizzas purchased since that time). She couldn’t even tell us the amount.
We asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was no manager on site. Really? On a Friday night? Bull muffins!
Needless to say, our issue has not been resolved to our satisfaction and unless you want us to go running back to Little Caesars, I suggest you give some serious thought as to how to make this right. HINT: A $3.00 off coupon isn’t going to cut it.

We ordered, received and threw away a pizza from store #1005 Delivery # 190128001. The pie was not cut or not cut correctly. One piece was 25% of the pie. In addition it looked like they dropped it or the driver stood it on its side when delivering it. All of the toppings had slid off into the side of the box. I called the store and they offered to replace it. NO THANKS If they would treat someone’s food with that much disrespect could you imagine what they would do to the replacement? This used to be a good store !!!!!!

I went to my local Marcos Pizza, 9708 Business Pkwy, Helotes, TX 78023 on 9/18 and as soon as I walked in I noticed the restaurant to be very dirty with food, paper plates, and straw wrappings on the floor and tables. It wasn’t even busy and the table I wanted to sit at was dirty so I asked that it be wiped. I then went to the counter to place my dine-in order. After 25 minutes of waiting, I went to the counter to ask on the status of my order and they couldn’t locate my order and I was asked if it was an on-line order – from the same crew that took my order at the counter! They finally found my order and located the pizza in a to go box. They gave me the pizza and I opened the box and it was already soggy. I asked for a refund and the cashier could not understand why I didn’t want the pizza. Marcos needs to train their young employees on good customer service. The employees are friendly but they don’t understand what good service is – it goes beyond being friendly. It’s about accuracy, cleanliness, accountability, organization, store appearance, etc. This is the second time in 3 months that this Marcos Pizza has failed me. I will not give them another opportunity to fail me. I have more choices in the same area. When I called the manager, Lila, the next day, she too was unconcerned and said, “Sorry you feel that way,” instead of apologizing for the shabby service. No more Marcos for me and my family.

I called in today for a pick up pizza, in Spring Hill fl. On Spring Hill dr. This is how it went..
Marcos on Spring Hill dr, this is, Jason, I think, pick up or delivery
Me…pick up
One moment, please
Your name..
Higgins..I thought you already had my name in the computer..
The owner clears the computer every couple months..
I’ve ordered in the last couple months..
Do you feel comfortable paying with your credit card over the phone..
No I don’t..I don’t give my number over the phone..I said I usually order over the phone and pay when I pick it up…
He said, I can’t take the order over if your not paying with your card, you’ll have to come in and order…
And I said cancel my name, cause he didn’t take my order..just cancel everything, I’ll go somewhere else
He put everything on the owner, I guess he was following orders..
If this is how the owner does business, he deserves to loose customers…
He probably would be the first one to refuse to give out his credit card number over the phone..
Thanks for listening….janie

I went by Marco’s Pizza place about two Sundays ago after church to get a pizza
for dinner. It was the one , located at 3595 Canton Rd, In Marietta, Ga. I ordered
a large, and I set there and waited on it. Well , to my surprise the guy that made
the pizza didn’t have on any gloves. I was so shocked, I started to say something,
but, I didn’t want to make matters worse. The guy was a tall slender white guy .with
eyeglasses on. I want to get one of the news crew, to go under cover there, to see
how this place will be graded. Here in Georgia, Channel 2 and Channel 46 news
crew will come in and show it on the news. Your business will lose customers if
this happens. I will go back there again, because your pizzas are very reason-
able. But, if I don’t see gloves on those hands that make the pizza, I will have the
news people to come in undercover. Please tell your people to wear gloves, be-
cause it is very unsanitary without them, and the law.
Deb says
Only ready to eat foods require wearing gloves. Things like salads. Anyone who has ever done servsafe or ever worked in a restaurant knows that you wash your hands and then make food. Gloves aren’t required for food that will be cooked. No news team will cover that as it isn’t a story.

I called Marco’s pizza on 8/9/2019 at 8:20 pm. The woman put me on hold didn’t answer until 15 minutes later. While I was on hold, my wife called and ordered the pizza I was trying to order. The woman finally answers my call. I told her my wife already called and ordered while I was still on hold. I would hope Marco’s is not a racist company. I’m black and I can’t get an answer. My wife is Philippino and she is waited on right away. I don’t care how busy they are. She left me on hold and took other calls that came in after mine. This Marco’s pizza is located at 5324 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL . 32210. I have been a customer there for many years. I don’t think I’ll be a customer there anymore.

Now how could someone tell your race over a phone call.?
Tezas Jackson says
Only white people can’t tell someone’s race over the phone. So I know for a fact you are white. Now ask me how can I tell someone’s race over email.
Misty says
Of course you would say something like that…..
You can tell via email because you are racist based off the very first sentence.
To assume someone doesn’t take your order because you are black over the phone….
Makes YOU not just black but also a complete moron.
Maybe they though you were just an a**hat?
So… I am Mexican… would I have been able to tell?
Since you are so savvy at human interactions, please tell me oh racist one!

Just wondering how a GM of a Marcos Pizza is able to talk to me twice and I filled out an application in the store and no response. And when I talk to him 3-4 days about an interview. He has the person working lie to me. Saying he was doing an interview. Funny. I was in the parking lot when I called to make sure he wasn’t too busy to interview and I saw him in the back. No interview. Why is this? I am on the no re-hire list? I used to work for Marcos.

I called Marco’s Pizza on Barataria in Marrero la.at approximately 5:30pm I’m july 30,2019. I was told to hold but the employee sat the phone down while I listened to vulgar, inappropriate topics for almost 10 minutes. While listening my wife was on her way to pick up the pizzas that I was not able to order because I was still waiting on the phone. This is the second incident I’ve had at this location and I have been a loyal customer for years but I am done with your establishment because management and employees are disgraceful.
Mary Gohlike says
I get daily messages from Marcos about online order specials. Every time I try to order online, it is unsuccessful, because Marcos doesn’t have my address on their map. I am about 12 minutes from the local Marcos and they have delivered to my address at least twice. All these emails about specials do not work, as employees say they can’t do anything about applying the specials when I order. False advertising is what I call it.

Your location in Ruskin, FL has horrible customer service. I was left holding on the phone for almost 10 min. I hung up and called back only to be put on hold without even asking if it was ok. I waited 5.85 minutes and hung up again. I called back and once again was put on hold even though I tried to cut them off from telling me to “Marcos Pizza, please hold”. I hung up again and tried one more time only to have them pick up the phone and then hang up on me. I know that the store might be busy BUT when it should take less than 2 min to take a persons order no one should be put on hold that long. 15 minutes on hold is not acceptable!!!! I will take my business elsewhere.

I think someone from corporate should do Undercover Boss at your Genoa,Ohio location at 22061 Woodville Rd. More than twice now I have given that store the opportunity to receive my business although I had hesitation about it after the service I’ve received from their employees. A while ago I swore I would never go back after I was treated poorly by the manager. After a couple of years I decided to try again. A few weeks ago I had a coupon that had not shown to be expired but the employee literally argued with me and said I couldn’t use it. Again I said. I am not going back there. Well tonight I decided one more time because I received one of those “We’ve missed you” coupons. Well you sure could have fooled me! Immediately as the employee answered the phone she had a “OMG you’re bothering me and we’re busy” attitude and acted like she just really didn’t want to be there. I told her never mind and hung up. Now I’m not a chronic complainer, but to be fair, I am a Customer Service Manager of a reputable Transportation Company. So with that being said I may be more critical of the way a customer is treated. We’re the worst right? My philosophy has always been as any good company would acknowledge “Customer Service comes first”. Now to hand out some Kudos. I purposely drive myself to the Marco’s location that does not deliver to my neighborhood and that is to store #8 I believe (at least that is what my receipt says). It is located in Northwood, Ohio. The manager (female) there is kind and friendly and you can tell she hired her employees with the same kind of attitude. They are truly a small town just like Genoa is. The only difference between them and Genoa is the fact that they treat their customers with a “small town” kindness. Please don’t ask to send me coupons or anything because I am not asking for that. I just think you should know how rude the Genoa store has been and if you look up my name by chance (excluding my son who orders from there because he doesn’t care how a customer is treated at this point in his life) but you will see I rarely go there and I can say it is because Genoa employees are absolutely rude. They need to take a lesson from the Northwood team.

I ordered a 12″ meatball sub. Noticed the guy making it was using his bare hands. Against the law by the way. Then I get it home and it’s ice cold. I call to tell them to make me another one, and do it right, piping hot. I’m off to pick it up now. But these issues reveal some serious problems at this location. Marco’s Pizza #8304. The health department gets wind of employees making sandwiches with bare hands and this store could be shut down.

I ordered food tonite from my local store and it arrived cold. I called the store twice, only to be put on a hold. When I got through the third time near closing, the manager only wanted to give me credit for a cheezy bread. He even had the nerve to tell me what time it was, and if I had called earlier, they could have credited the whole order, even after I told him twice that i had called twice prior and been put on hold. My whole order was cold, which included wings, and I wanted a store credit for the whole order, not just a cheezy bread, which I probably have to buy something else to get. I am very dissatisfied at this point. I have been a customer for 3 or 4 years, and if I am not given a satisfactory remedy, I will soon become an ex customer. I have spent too much money at that store to not get the customer service that I deserve.
Sherrie says
I have ordered wings (all flats) on multiple occasions without incident. Today I tried ordering them along with a large pizza (we order pizza on Friday night at least 3 weeks out of a month) and was told that wasn’t possible. I said I’ve ordered them lots of times and there wasn’t a problem. I was told again that’s not possible even when ordering on line. I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold. After a brief hold someone came on the line and said he was the manager. I explained my dilemma and was told the same thing. I then realized I was speaking to the same individual I originally spoke to. What happened to customer satisfaction and the customers is always right? Needless to say I am not happy and you’ve probably lost a customer.

My 17 yo daughter works at the Marco’s in Pearland Tx and I am so disgusted with the management. As a family, we run a non-profit for breast cancer but my daughter has to go to work to hear her managers and co-workers talk about how a non-profit is only for embezzling money and we must take all the profits. And how my daughter shouldn’t have to go to the military to pay for college because we should have embezzled enough to pay for it. And how our pink company truck is the ugliest truck they have ever seen. This is totally unacceptable, especially for the owner and management to be in on. She is 17 and has to deal with this harassment every time she works. I will be making a formal complaint to the corporate office and the state of texas.

On Wednesday, Jan 30, 2018 I entered your Hwy 90 store in Stafford Texas at approximately 6:30. The only other customer in store was seated at a table adjacent to the counter. When I stepped up to place my orders, I was asked to wait one minute as the counter person stepped back to the food prep area. After a few minutes he returned to answer a phone order totally ignoring me. When he completed taking that order I began to place my order as the phone rang again to which he waved me off to take that order instead of placing that call on hold, which he should have done with the first caller. At that point I told him that was poor customer service essentially letting those callers cut line in from of me.
I then left and made a stop at the new Mod Pizza for my pizzas.
Please note I will no longer patronize Marcos Pizza and recommend the same to friends and acquaintances.
I intend to copy and paste this review on Yelp, Zomato, Facebook, and other dining review and social media platforms. I will not tolerate this type of service and will encourage others to do the same.

I think Marco’s pizza is fabulous. I live in Catawba, SC and the closest pizza is miles away, store bought, or homemade. I think Maco’s should open up Marco’s in the following locations: Richburg, SC, Lancaster, SC and another in Rock Hill SC. My 17 year old daughter moved to Indiana with her father and works at your franchise in Auburn, IN. Please try to expand in the locations above as I can see your cooperation could make some serious money.

I visited the Marco’s at 351 East Paulding Dr. In Dallas Georgia and the service was completely horrible. My waiter was named Donald and he had no clue as to what was on the menu at all. I had to repeat my order to him twice before he got it correct. My co-worker ordered a ham and turkey sub and he received a chicken club. And the most disturbing actions I witnessed was the General Manager and a co-worker out at the bar in front of patrons eating a meal from Waffle House. This was completely unprofessional. This was a nice place to go for lunch. But the management needs to be retrained and the staff needs to be retrained as well.

So I gave Marcos in Pooler, Ga another chanc after they had messed up my order the first time I used them, after the first time using the store credit they gave me, my pizza wa fabulous, and so was Connie the lady who took my order.
Well last night 12/8/18, we decided to try them again (mind you we were spending our money) any who we ere told when we placed our order at 7:20pm that it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour , no problem it’s the weekend, we’ll when I finally decided to call and ask at 9:20pm where our pizza was, I wa told they were busy it’s Saturday and which I thought was rude they say Grace spoke to me, so she said they were 8 minutes out, I said okay. Got off the phone and about 20 minutes later, the pizza still had not arrived called back, spoke to the same young lady, who than told me it was 2 minutes out, I asked if she was sure because the last time I called she told me they were 8 minutes out and 20 minutes later I still had not received the pizzas, she said yes. We finally received our pizza, but aside from the call with me placing the order with Gavin (who was AMAZING!) everything else was horrible, including the young lady who I spoke on the phone with on two different occasions Grace. Please give me a call or email me in regards to this situation. Thank you, Christy Wiley 912-704-XXXX

MOUNT VERNON IL STORE. IF YOU ARE WONDERING WHY THIS STORE ISNT MAKING ANY MONEY, I WILL TELL YOU WHY. WHEN I ORDER FOR DELIVERY THE DELIVERY TIME IS 80 MINUTES. WHEN I GO INSIDE TO ORDER PEOPLE ARE STANDING AROUND DOING NOTHING WHILE OTHERS ARE WORKING LIKE CRAZY. I SAW THE DELIVERY DRIVERS DECIDING WHETHER OR NOT TO TAKE A PIZZA. THEY TOOK A PIZZA THAT JUST CAME OUT AND LEFT ONE THAT HAD BEEN SITTING THERE. GIVING A 25% COUPON IS NOT GOING TO HELP!!! I ORDERED FROM DOMINOS INSTEAD. ARRIVED IN 25 MINUTES.

Called Marco’s for the first time cause I saw their delivery guy here in the rv Park night before last so instead of getting food while in town I called when I got home. Mike the manager of the Ponca city Oklahoma Marco’s told me sorry your just outside our area. I asked how could this be when they delivered here 2 nights ago. His response was we probably did. So I asked why he couldn’t deliver to me? His response was sorry I can choose to take the orders or not outside our area and I’m choosing not to this time. Doesn’t seem fair or a good way to do business. I won’t be ordering from Marco’s ever again!!!

Great service, great pizza, exceptionally clean.
We use to go to this about once every week. We always get a large pepperoni pizza and 2 soft drinks, its always around $16.00. We went there 8/29/18, we had a survey code for free cheesy bread sticks. Order our usual and the “free” cheesy bread sticks and it was $18.00, I guess the “Free” cheesy bread sticks are not really “Free”.
Bad business practice, I will not return to any Marcos Pizza again, they lost a loyal customer over $2.00.

The manager at the Marco’s in new albany indiana has been treating me unfairly. I am new and he talks to me like I’m stupid. I was late today for the first time since I have been there and I called him and told him I don’t feel good and that I’m calling in for the day. He told me that I have to come in on a day that I’m off and talk to him so I can keep my job. People from cooperate just came the other day to check out our the store and when they left he was talking very poorly about the three guys that came and laughing with other employees about it.

I had a wonderful experience at Marco’s Pizza in Kingwood,Tx last week. I never been to any of the franchise before last week. When I pulled up and parked my company truck with the trailer I knew I may upset someone and would possibly get told something once I walked in, but nothing was told to me other then “Hello and welcome to Marco’s pizza”. I placed my order and waiting patiently while all the employees (around 10-12) started my order. The place was busy and I could tell by the amount of foot traffic and the phone was ringing off the hook. This was one way I knew I was about to experience so good pizza soon. Maybe about 15 mins later I got my pizza brought put to me along with the wings that i ordered. Other then the pizza being really hot it was freaky amazing!! I ended up ordering another to go for the wife. Tonight I’ll be driving about 20 away just to get more pizza from this amazing pizza place. Oh I think I fail to mention that the customer service was fantastic as well. The price was a little more then what I normally pay but I think it’s well worth it. Not sure how but I want to see about how to get one built near my house since all we got is the basic other pi,za joints (pizza hut, Domino’s, and Papa John’s). Until then I guess ill travel pass all the other pizza places for the Marco’s pizza way out of my way.

Last night.8-8-18 I was almost hit by one of your drivers in Leander,Texas. I was northbound on 183 in the left hand turn lane for west-bound Crystal Falls. Time was 9:13 pm. I was slowing to stop in my left hand turn lane, at least 50 feet from the intersection. I had to slam on my brakes because a small Marcos Pizza delivery car making a left turn from west-bound Crystal Falls Blvd to Southbound 183 had cut the corner and was in my lane. I believe it was a small lighter colored economy vehicle. I try to give Marcos a chance. But when I see things like this as well as employees smoking outside the store and the boyfriend of an employee threatens me, I am slowly giving up.

I had a horrible experience with the Marcos pizza located at 2818-9 Old Dawson Rd; Albany, GA 31707, US; Phone: 229-435-4800
I placed an order on 07/30/2018 and my pizza was prepared improperly. I called the next day 07/31/2018 and spoke with a guy who said he was the general manager. He was very nice and friendly. I told him about my experience with the preparation of my pizzas and also about a delivery driver he has working for him who was inappropiate. He told me he would remake my pizza and give me a call because they weren’t open yet for the day because they had a horrible night the night before, so i called around 4 pm and he said the same thing and he said he would have Amanda call me when it was ready and needless to say he or she never did. I called today to make sure they were ready for business and the young man said yes. I went online to place my order and it says it was unable to locate a store in my area for delivery when I live down the street, I order online from there all the time and have it delivered to my home. That is crap! That general manager did something to my account to make my address undeliverable. The guy said they were doing deliveries. I called and asked the girl who answered the phone why was my address undeliverable. she says “One moment let me get you to a manager and we will go from there” WHat in the world kind of customer service is that. if that was pizza hut they would have checked my address first but being that she did not I already know they made my address undeliverable because his driver was inappropiate with me. Is this how Marcos pizza treat there female customers after their driver was inappropiate with them? Do Marcos uphold general managers who uphold drivers who are inappropiate with females? I will never spend another dime with Marcos and I wouldn’t encourage anyone else to. The customer service is horrible and the staff at that location is very unprofessional except Amanda. She was the only one who was ever nice and helpful to me. If she ran the place I would most definitely go there again but not while you have employees who are jerking paying customers around.

Kyle wants to ask a question, I answered it, and he replied “I’m calling the police if you don’t leave”. Now how unprofessional is that?! No wonder nobody wants to work for them. And it’s illegal to not pay someone, or not pay on time. 2 birds one stone.

I was an employee at Marco’s Pizza in Vidalia, Ga and they brought in a new person saying he was just their for training and he called a meeting on May 14th, 2018 at 9:30-10:00 pm and I spoke up for myself because I told him he could’ve picked and respectful hour to have an meeting and the meeting was about welcoming the new owner and Manager of Marco’s. During the meeting he said that everyone would have their same positions and then the next day I went in to work at 2:15 30 minutes before it was time for me to get off he told me he had to let me go and I asked him what was the reason he was firing me and he said there wasn’t a reason so he went into his pockets and pulled out his phone and called whoever and asked the person what was the reason that she is being fired and they still didn’t come up with an reason. So he put on my separation notice lack of work but wrote out lack of business and I went to Marco’s the day after but I’m trying to figure out how are you hiring if you fired me for lack of work or business. I was a Marcos Pizza regular. But, I just happen to be with a friend of mine when she picked up a pizza and salad. I was just standing there, and I happen to notice the guy who seemed to act like the manager. I think they called him Rick, or something like that. Looked Hispanic, grey hair. Seemed to have an attitude. I caught him out of the corner of my eye, reach down into his pants and adjust something and just go right back to adding toppings to someone else’s pizza. Not my friends… The guy looked like it was an everyday thing. This is at the store in Connerton, near where I live. Looks like Papa Johns from now on. Where do you get these people? He was an older guy too. Not some dumb kid. Really got a winner there.

With maybe only 1/2 dozen orders placed with my local Marco’s, I don’t have any complaints about the food quality or delivery, or personnel. I am just offering a marketing suggestion. I am a single senior female who, like most everyone I know, enjoys pizza. Promotional flyers do come in the mail, yet what they mostly involve are for offers that are way too much for a single person. Having lived here just 2 years, I have received only one promotion involving a small pizza. In fact, it was for a free small pizza, and I must admit it was my first pizza from Marco’s in many years. With that offer, it made me feel I had nothing to lose, if I didn’t like the pizza I could throw it away.
I must admit that I felt the pizza was good enough to order again, and did have to order a bigger pizza to do so. Unfortunately, I am not someone who enjoys leftovers…but I tried. A good portion of that pizza was wasted. And somehow, the pizzas that have followed that first one just don’t seem as tasty….most likely my imagination.
Please consider offering more deals that include small pizzas for us single elderly folks who have no one to share with. Most food shopping presents a problem for us singles….large packages for families that are way too much in quantity, and smaller quantities are usually much more costly. An occasional pizza treat would be a pleasant thing, yet I can’t feel good about the food that’s wasted. Please help an old gal like me out and others just like me, it would be nice to be offered a pizza deal we can handle.
Thanks!

I placed my order via the web at 4:27 pm and the delivery guy came around 5:30 or a little before and after I signed the c.c receipt and handed him his tip, He informed me He didn’t have my order. So I waited and never heard anything back. I didny know if anyone was going to deliver my order or not and i had already paid for it at this point. So i called to speak with a manager and after multiple phone calls and dealing with very rude employees, i was connected to someone who said my order would be delivered. An hour later, 2 hours from my initial order and 1 hour since the guy said he was coming back, another delivery guy brings my order, which is very cold and no longer fresh. This guy didn’t even know there was an issue and was looking for me to sign the credit card receipt again. Once we explained what happened and how long we had been waiting I still didn’t get so much as an apology. I have ordered from Marco’s before but this by far has taken the cake and I really don’t think I will be ordering again. Mistakes happen, yes, but when things like that happen something need a to be done to make the situation right. Delivering cold food 2 hours late with no apology or even knowing what’s going on is not acceptable for a company who is in business due to the customers they serve.

Marcos is my favorite pizza for my family. The pizza tastes great and the cheese bread is fantastic. I regularly leave positive feedback on their web page.
I wanted to start with that background before noting a terrible experience with the local Marcos on 29 December 2017. The pizza was made with the wrong ingredients. I waited in line to pick it up for over 20 minutes and the pizza had been out if the oven all that time. Of the eleven staff on duty that evening, only one was assigned to the customer backlog. He was focused on new phone orders rather than serving the line of waiting patrons. No manager seemed present. Two staff were content to watch the irritated patrons and opted to fold pizza boxes even after being summoned to help.
I like Marcos and want to give it a try again. This latest experience was so bad however that it will be a while before I do.
I’d much rather be posting another favorable review,
Kevin S.

This is my 1st and last time ever ordering from Marco’s pizza! I placed an order Sunday at the one at 2331 Bolton Road Suite A Atlanta, GA 30318 for 4 pizza’s to be delivered to my 6 year old son’s classroom party at 11:30 a.m. (4 miles from his school) for this Monday. They charged by card Sunday and said the pizza would get there before 11:30 a.m. So I called my son’s school to see what time they actually got there just to find out they never bothered to delivered them! I called to find out what happened and they said it wasn’t in their system for this morning, yet my card was charged the day before. So the manager said he could get them ready in 15 minutes and deliver them in another 10. I wasn’t given an apology for their mistake nor was I offered any kind of compensation to keep my business! This is horrible customer service and extreme irresponsibility on Marco’s pizza. Lesson learned: never rely on them to surprise a group of 1st graders because they are unreliable!

Greetings,
On Sunday, November 19th my family and I ordered the above pizza. This pizza was supposed to be double-pepperoni and it was not. I mentioned this to the delivery guy and he assured me the pepperoni was under the cheese.
Please see the above photo. There were a few slices of pepperoni under the cheese. We called the location back and the “order taker” who refused to provide a name, insisted on us reaching out to the General Manager. Not only was this unfair but this latest episode added to the many disappointments we’ve had at this location. I came to the location to verbally order pizza and a young lady turned me away and refused to take my order; she insisted that I call or go online.
The final straw was there was a charge of $3.00 which is a delivery charge specifically for the driver and it is embedded in the upfront cost for the pizza; I asked the driver if the charge was for him and he said no, he has nothing to do with that charge, therefore I provided an additional $2 tip. I phoned 3 additional Marco’s pizza’s in the Atlanta area and spoke to a member of their management team concerning the $3 delivery charge. And each of them provided the same response, “Ma’am, the $3 goes to the driver!”
I called the next day as advised and I was immediately sent to the General Manager’s voicemail, 2x’s.
Please be advised that we dine on Marco’s pizza 2xs per week as my family loves this pizza because it reminds us of home- Chicago. We are busy with so much during a 24hr period and cooking every night is not allowed at times. We no longer go there for fear of what would happen to our pizza.
I have mailed, emailed and faxed this letter to make sure it gets to the proper person.

I love Marco’s Pizza and have always gotten great service from the location at Reed Road in Upper Arlington, OH. But the new corporate website TOTALLY STINKS. I tried to order two pizzas and couldn’t get through the process. And when I tried to have them delivered to my son’s house the site told me the address wasn’t in the system, which it really is. I have ordered from Marco’s online many times. I finally called the store and ordered. They said they’ve had lots of complaints about the site. I’m going elsewhere because I am so irritated. Sorry.

I must say, the Marco’s in Rome, NY is FANTASTIC!!!! They have always exceeded our expectations!!! The quality of the food is excellent and the staff has always been very friendly. They have consistently beat their estimated delivery time and have never disappointed our family. There was only 1 occasion where our pizza was made with the wrong topping and the team at Marco’s recognized the mistake before the pizza left the restaurant and made another pizza with the correct toppings. The gentleman that delivered the pizza apologized for the mistake and not only gave us the correct pizza, but also the pizza that was made in error for FREE!! Marco’s is our go-to pizza delivery service here in Rome despite several other pizza places in the city. THANK YOU, MARCOS!!!!!

I use to be a loyal customer of Marco’s pizza. However, now I’m no longer supporting this franchise EVER. I placed a carry out order on 5/30/19 @ the Taylor Road location in Montgomery, Al. The total was $25.29, the following day I see a charge for $30.35 for Marco’s Pizza. So, I stop by the location to speak with the store manager, with my statement from my bank, he calls his GM, who’s at a local store in the area. They have a conversation, which ends by saying, give the customer her $5.06 back. Ok, the manager does so, apologies, stated he’ll look into what happened. Well, a few days past and the GM calls me and states, “I don’t think the money was stolen be an employee, but rather there was a hold on your card for the $5.06”. “Also, if you see the charge still standing on your account in a few days, bring in your updated statement “. I asked him how is that, when this was a carry out, not a delivery. At this point I’m done speaking with him, cause that’s nonsense. Really, don’t insult my intelligence, sir. The next day I call the corporate office, give my statement as to the events that took place. I was promised a follow up call, and email. NOTHING, to this day. So, here I am weeks out on 6/14/19, I call corporate again. Speak to I don’t know who, because this lady tells me she’s NOT comfortable giving me her name, or id number. I stated, that’s fine transfer me to your supervisor, she transfers me to a voicemail. I call back to speak with a different representative. NO ONE ANSWERS THE CALL.
The entire company is full of it. Yes, I left a voicemail with details on it, but at this point I don’t expect a follow up call, nor to EVER do business with this company again. I see other reviews on here with complaints, therefore I’m leaving mine so that others know how we’re treated as customers. When the CEO, COO, and the CFO’s are effected by this, maybe then someone will say, we should have taken things like this into consideration. I’ll be happy giving my money to a franchise that doesn’t condone theft, lies, and unprofessional customer care representatives.

Your GM at your Fort Wayne Indiana store (who by the way is clueless on how to manage anything) fired my grand daughter for missing one day that she had informed her of having a doctors appt. in Indianapolis since she is pregnant and the baby has a heart issue. She was told that it was fine and they would cover the shift. She has always been a half hour early for all her shifts. Never missed a day in the four months she worked there. Also she has never been written up or given a verbal warning. Which is part of the labor law in Indiana. Since your corporation has hired this new GM she has fired four people in the last three weeks and some with out any warning. Maybe you need to take a closer look at the type of people that you hire before lawyers get involved.

My family and I (5 and a baby) visited Marcos tonight and we were very displeased. Funny thing is we ate Marcos on Friday 10/13/17 without all of children and were very pleased with the food and service, but not tonight. They were very busy and we completely understand that, we were willing to wait our turn for a table, and even told the lady at the front counter we would wait to order cause we didn’t want our food to arrive before a table was ready. The cashier then told us no worries we have a back room with seating available, but then another cashier said no that room is reserved. I again said then we will just wait to order, but then the second cashier said no you can go ahead and order cause that back big booth is almost finished and your pizza will take about 30 minutes. My husband and I said fine we will order and just wait on the front benches until the table was ready. We waited almost 50 minutes, the table never left, and our food came up. I was very angry that we ordered our food on the recommendation of the staff, that your company employees, and then we were there without a table. When speaking with the manager he made every excuse in the world and like I said we understand that they were busy, but his staff shouldn’t have told us to go ahead and order. We ended up taking our pizza to go and it wasanything near what we experienced the day before. Why would a new restaurant allow their biggest room to be reserved on a Saturday night at 6:00pm, knowing they would be busy? That makes no sense at all and I watched several patrons turn and walk out due to no seating. My family will not be going back anytime soon and we will make sure to spread the word to all our Nixa family, friends, and church.

Today: October 14, 2017 @ 7:45pm I tried ordering via direct dial to the store and reminded them that our previous order was missing a cheese bread. The delivery person (from 4 wks ago) offered to go back to the store and bring us a cheese bread. We respectfully declined and the driver said he would make a note that we should receive the cheese bread with our next order. That was acceptable.
When my wife spoke to the order-taker person (young snotty female- Kendall) today, she INSISTED that the order was correct 4 wks ago and she was not going to make any order adjustments. My wife said, “fine, we’ll call Donatos for our pizza”….. This little snot replied with “ok, go ahead”!!
Somebody should know that you lost a customer be cuz a snippy female rep chose to treat a customer with “poor regard”!!!!! I wonder what Marco’s Corporate thinks about Franchise employees who work in areas being severely affected by Hurricane Irma being threatened with being fired if they don’t show up for work tomorrow. Power is expected to be out, flooding widespread, and winds greater than 60mph. It is ridiculous to be threatening employees with being fired under such conditions.

Well yet another horrible experience at my Marcos location at 71st and Georgetown in Indianapolis. I normally like Marcos on a weekly basis. After having ordered same order as last week, I called in a carry out order for 6.99 medium pizza that is advertised with a neon sign in the window! The guy on taking my order over the phone did not mention anything about special hours of the day and so I went out of my way to pick up pizza at the known normal special price advertised. I get there and I have the bad luck to have the same hateful manager named Jessica, that gave me problems before resulting in a courtesy pizza from the regional manager (unfortunately not there this day) because of her bad customer service, proceeds to tell me that the it is now only certain hours that they have it at that rate. Well I should have be told before I completed my order and made my way through traffic over there. The worst part of dealing about this, in dealing with this vengeful hateful person (who made her manager??) , is that, I have literally witness her giving out pizzas over the counter on more that one occassion without any exchange of receipt and no receipt on the box and she appeared to personally know the person as a friend do to the “Thank you boo” remark she says to asst mangr Jessica as she take her free extra large pizza. As a business owner this is infuriating. What do I do? Do I report the misleading/incomplete ad to BBB, or do I get a response from someone a corporate with some authority to do something about the gross conduct towards long time customers and corrupt store manager at this location, who refuses to take any disciplinary action on this highschool aged asst manager? I would like someone to contact about this asap. Thank you

I used to be a General Manager of a Franchise and let me tell you JUST how shi**y Marco’s corporate *REALLY* is.
They’re so lazy they send out the same coupons over and over again with the same BS on it: “expires in 3 weeks.” That is how lazy they are. Seriously, I could write an action script in Photoshop that could add the dates in, instantaneously and it would take me 5 minutes to write!
We can’t even get shirts, hats, menus, etc. Corporate has them on “back order.”
They do “corporate accounts” that undersell product to the point the store doesn’t make any money off the orders, for their own benefit. I don’t know how many times I was expected to make 30-40 large pizzas at 6$ a pop (regular cheese price is 11.99$) right in the middle of the busiest DINNER RUSH of the week.
They never focus on the positive, only the negative. You could get 30 “celebration alerts” in a month, but if you get one complaint, like a customer saying you’re “lying” about them signing the receipt, when you have a PRINT OUT of the said receipt that shows the initials of the person who ordered, they’ll rake you over the coals for it.
The DM of my District told me to use expired meats so they “don’t go to waste”, use sauce that was over expiration and to cut corners whenever possible.
They force you to work off the clock, out of fear of losing your job, due to low sales and high labor.
I just got laid off by Corporate. My franchise owners sold their stores back to the company (at a loss, ‘cos that’s Marco’s for ya.) and I was informed. I called the DM of my area, to assess the situation and we scheduled a meeting for Tuesday (July 11th), as my son was to go on his summer visitation on Monday evening. The DM didn’t meet with me. In fact, he called me at 9 am on Tuesday and let me go OVER THE PHONE. That’s how “professional” they are. To make matters worse, my tips from our tip share the week before were stolen and half my previous owner’s bank (approximately 400$) was stolen by the “new” team, consisting of a person I actually terminated previously, for theft.
Don’t bother with Marco’s and don’t believe ANY of that crap from the CEO on Undercover Boss. They don’t give two sh**s about their employees. They only care about their image.

Ordered 12′ steak sandwich(my favorite sandwich from Marcos) and the sausage bake. The delivery service was on time, however the sandwich was awful. There was hardly any meat on this sandwich, no mayo at all. It seems as though Marcos was out of meat and mayo . If that was the case the restaurant should have contacted me and ask if I would select a different type of sandwich and not just fix me a CRAPPY sandwich. I was very disappointed with the service today, the person who prepared this sandwich did not care at all. I am also disappointed because I purchase from this restaurant frequently. Very Unhappy Customer
Hello Jack Butorac,
My name is Keith Dobbs, yesterday I decided to go to Marcos Pizza for lunch. I had a craving for a cheesybread and shop here frequently. I placed my order online at store number 1078 at 4791 Turney Rd. Garfield, Ohio 44125. This store is close to my job and like I stated prior I do purchase food from here often. When I walked into the store I am not greeted, which isn’t a problem sometimes people are busy which I understand, but then someone comes for the back of the kitchen to place my order who seemed like he would rather be anywhere but where he is currently right now. He had an unfriendly disposition and still never showed any ounce of customer service or friendliness for the short interaction that we did have, he was only helpful by letting me know that I had five minutes left for my order to be up. I then sit in the store and wait for more than fifteen minutes, I assumed that someone would just naturally let me know my order was up but no that never happened. After sitting there for the fifteen minutes I then go to the counter and there I see a cheesybread sitting, I wait for someone to the counter to ask me what they can do for me that never happened. I assume the store manager then came to the front and gave a customer her food which is understandable, what upset me was that he then walked to then back without even seeing if was taken care of and at this point there was another gentleman behind me. It was just so rude and nonchalant. I then ask him to see if that cheesybread was mine that was on the rack he said give him a moment but he had nothing in his hands and grabbed a box as the second customer asked him to check for his other to no avail. Then the manager continues to pull food off the oven and was telling one of his employees to put holes in the pizza due to a few of them bubbling up while in the oven. I am still standing there when another worker enters the building on her phone and taking to the guy who took my order who just came from the back. While the manager tell her her he doesn’t need her to come back due to it slowing down. Finally the guy who took my order informed the manager that the cheesybread was mine and then gave it to me, no one ever apologized for the wait or seemed to care about the customer experience. To make my now twenty minutes I the store even more worthless the cheesybread was not warm, didn’t take done, didn’t taste good and wasn’t even cut fully. Is this how I should expect Marcos to be, in the past I have had this same issue before but never to this level. At this point I am done with Marcos Pizza and will Never shop there again. I am so upset that I don’t even want to go to other Marcos I the future.
I hope someone even cares to read this email and reach back out to me regarding this, I can be emailed at Keithdobbs92 at gmail.com or called at 440 381 XXXXX.

Was told call dropped and the store had old raggedy phones, called back had to reorder it again and it would be 45 minutes, after 50 minutes I called back they never made my order, I went up there was upset because it was 10 , I ordered pizza because I was hungry. Long story short, manager came in kicked me out and called police, I will never order or eat your food again. She didn’t try and find out problem, just said leave or I will call Police and did, you don’t want my business, also complaing to BBB, sad you don’t have a competent staff near me!!!! My husband ordered a pizza to be delivered last night. An hour later we called and no pizza actually couldn’t even find the order. A half later the pizza ( wrong pizza) and manager show up at hour home and tell us there was a mistake in billing and that our credit card had been charged $ 12.00 extra and tat it would be refunded $ 12.00 in 8-10 days. That was not our mistake. The Hampton Georgia location needs better trained employees and managers as they are not customer service friendly and the manager obviously needs retrained.. So disappointed in this location. And Marcos headquarters should be embarrassed.

I have been a long time customer at the location 7125 Georgetown Rd, Indianapolis, IN. I go there for carry out normally at least twice a week (Family sized orders). Now, sadly, I have to say that the quality has gone way down and new shift manager, she says her name is Jessica (no name tag and not wearing Marco’s attire half the time), very unprofessional (picks at nose in plain sight), talk loud on her phone in the back room where you can hear her swearing. And the employees are poorly trained on preparation. The pizza as a result tastes horrible now. The main thing is that almost every time I order from there, they do NOT put hardly any pizza sauce at all on the pizza! It is spread on way too thin. Its the whole point of Marcos signature taste! I need CSI people to find traces of the tomato sauce just to really put it into prospective.. I cannot believe the rude people that obviously the store manager is hiring as the shift managers. Hateful people that do not care about their jobs let alone take pride in the Marcos name. I guess I will have to find another place to go to get good pizza. Sad. Truly pitiful.

I was very happy when Marcos moved into our area. We needed something other than Pizza Hut. For the first three or four months things were great, Friendlly service, prompt delivery. Nice boxes for the subs. then about six months ago changes became more and more of a problem. the boxes disappeared, Subs were wrong pizza became more and more greasey. Then when i calles in the wait just to order got slower and slower. this past Thur was the worst. I called and was put on hold for over five minutes, by the way I called at 11:30 when the opened. On the way home my husband and i called to order food and the same thing happened so we thought maybe if we stop by service will be better but it was not. He went in and no one was out front, After about 5 min some one came from the back and said he was the only one there, I guess the delivery person was on a delivery. H e left mad we aie come where else. Back when all this started i talked to the Manager but things did not get better. I don’t know her name but the Marcos is located on East Gore Blvd, Lawton, OK 73507 I don’t what good this will do but I hope it will do some good. your food is good and the East side does not have that much to offer.

I ordered Marco’s Pizza at your franchise store # 3656 located at 1901 s Philo Rd Urbana, IL 61802 on January 26, 2017. This was an online order which included a 12″ pizza (Deluxe Uno with the following toppings: Black olives, Beef, Parmesan, Garlic and Roma crust w/ no mushrooms or Green peppers) – Square cut. I also ordered Cheesy bread w/ 2-pizza sauce cups and a small Garden salad w/ provolone cheese w/ no green peppers and two vinaigrette packets.
I received the order at approximately 6:55pm. The delivery driver gave my wife the food we ordered, or so I thought. The delivery driver brought cheesy bread and wings, not my ordered as stated above. I immediately called the store and spoke to an employee and apprised her of the situation. She reassured me that my pizza was on its way and explained that my order had gotten split between two delivery drivers. She asked me to wait approximately 15 minutes. At this point, after hanging up the phone, I looked in the bag and saw the first part of my order was wrong. No salad as stated above as well as there were hot wings, the only thing they got right was the cheesy bread. At approximately 7:11pm, I drove to the Marco’s Pizza location, Sore # 3656 located at 1901 S. Philo Rd. Urbana, IL 61802. I was greeted warmly by your staff at this location, and explained my situation and told them I had spoken to another employee about the situation and went on to explain that I have ordered from here three times prior and there was no problem. This employee, while on the phone told me that I am the one that spoke to you own the phone and proceeded to tell me (while still on the phone) that my order was being taking care of, and explained that this is a new store and that everyone makes mistakes, which for the most part I accepted until, she came from around the counter and told me that they were fixing my order in a not so good tone and in the same tone told me I was rude, this is unacceptable as THE CUSTMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!! At this point, I asked to speak to the manager, this employee told me she was the manager. I was in shock to actually know that a manager would actually tell a customer they were rude and not have a pleasant tone. To that end, I asked that they cancel the order and stated I wanted my money back. I I started to leave and she told me if I left, I would not get my money back
($31.86), another mistake. I then told her that I had a credit card and she told me I would have to call my bank in the morning. I stated that I would.
Seeing that this was done to me, I wonder how many other complaints other Marco Franchises have. I have read at least 10 plus or so within a twenty-four hour period. I also told the employee/manager that I would never be back.
Key points of concern:
* The rudeness of this employee/manager
* Accuracy of order
* Handling of the whole situation by the employee/manager
Taking into account this is a new store and understanding that mistakes will be made, I can accept this however, I WILL NOT accept an employee/manager calling me rude in any shape or form. Totally unacceptable!!!
Also, I would never accept that this employee/manager would ever tell a customer if they leave a store, they would never get there money back!!!

Marco’s should be more selective of who they allow to represent their name. The newest franchise in Jesup Ga. is struggling with management ability, fair compensation to its employees and now it has rats. Their solution?….rat traps after they have been spotted…no exterminators…no prevention. If the rats are showing up in broad day light around people how many do you imagine are running around at night inside at night.

On this NYE, my kids were having friends over for a party, so we decided to order some pizzas from Marco’s in Berea, Ohio on Bagley Rd. We were out to dinner and I wanted to place my order online and use the coupon code SAVE995. $5 off a $20 order. I attempted to place an order for 5 pizzas online for about 15 minutes but the website continued to “timeout” and disconnect me from the ordering process. So, I picked up the phone and placed my order, as we needed to get the pizzas home for the party.
I placed my order and explained my experience ordering online and asked if I could use the coupon code. The gentleman said he would have to get the manager. The manager came to the phone and said she would honor the coupon this one time as we were unable to place the order online.
When my husband arrived to the store a gentleman, who said he was the General Manager told us he would not honor the coupon and that the person I spoke to was not the manager, but would not give her name. I asked him his name and he told me “My name is Bye Have a Good Evening”.
I have never in my entire life frequented a business for so many years consistently to be lied to on the phone, them mocked by someone who claims to be the General Manager. If this is the person you hired to represent your brand as a leader, and manager, I will no longer be spending my hard earned dollars at Marcos anywhere, ever again and I will be sure to spread the word amongst my friends and business acquaintances. I have never in my life regretted spending my money with a business and after the receipt was signed was mocked and laughed at by 20 something year olds working in a pizza shop. Unacceptable.
If you care to know who this rude employee of yours is, I will be happy to point him out for you, perhaps you could take him back through “customer care” training.

I voted yesterday 11/8 on your website and obtained a voucher for the free medium pizza valid for today 11/9. The location in which I selected to receive this pizza (10820 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis, IN 46236
Phone: (317) 826-4000) is telling me that they are not honoring the voucher as this promotion was supposed to be valid for yesterday 11/8 and not today. This is clearly not what your website stated nor printed on the voucher. I love Marco’s pizza and get it all the time and would like to obtain my free pizza. I would like for your company to honor what they advertised and promised.
Thank You,

I just finished watching Mr Stephens, your company COO on Undercover Boss. First time seeing him on there and I wanted to share my concerns and I hope he does see this. First, I love pizza, who doesn’t? Well I began my career in life at 19 years old as an assistant manager at Little Caesars in 1985 and thought I was on top of the world making $250 per week but working 80+ hours per week. I learned a lot at that job and I learned the value of my employees; that being said, let me share my concerns I have with you sir, now that I know a little more about you.
I recently ordered my Marco’s Pizza and I always make sure I tip 20% to my drivers. ALWAYS! It was during that process that I learned that the drivers at my store hardly, if ever receive tips based on the area I reside in, in Gastonia NC. They receive $6.50 per hour and hardly anything in tips. The drivers always get a kick out of coming to deliver to me because I tip very well and they are always so nice. How do you expect your drivers to make a living on $6.50 per hour in an area KNOWN for not tipping. I know it is hard to believe but it is true and I have heard so on may occasions. I DO NOT feel good ordering an exceptional product from a company that pay their employees at an underwhelming degree.
In addition, you could stand to utilize advertising on tv/radio more than the coupon flyer in the Wednesday circulars. The only way I ever found your company is because I was standing on my front porch, really late one night smoking a cigarette, when I saw a car continue to go round and around my apartment complex. I finally flagged the person over and asked could I help and I met a delivery driver for your company. Told him I never heard of your company. Well I directed him where he needed to go and he returned to me with a menu with the store phone number. I ordered soon after that meeting and the first bite of this awesome pizza, I WAS SOLD!!!! Better than Domino’s, which I have not ordered from since they changed their menu. Better than Papa John’s – so much better! Much better than Pizza Hut because you toppings really taste like they should. I thought to myself then, “I wonder why these people do not advertise more?”
You have a great product and as Mr Stephens has learned, you have AWESOME employees and drivers and we ALL have our own heart string pulling sagas in our lives. Perhaps Mr. Stephens would like to speak with me further as I would love to share how I feel without getting employees in trouble. Pay at least minimum wage in your stores where the drivers are getting screwed by the customers. Most people think that delivery fee goes to the driver and the rest know no better. I just left taxi driving after 18 behind the wheel and in some areas, tipping is hardly found.
Would love to talk about it if Mr. Stephens so wishes.
