Newfield Exploration Corporate Office

Newfield Exploration was founded by Joe B. Foster, a former chairman of Tenneco Oil Company, in 1988.

The company quickly began investing its original $9 million capital into new oil and natural gas exploration, and the first property bought was Eugene Island 172. This oil field continues to produce today.

Today this independent exploration and production company drills in the Rockies, the Gulf of Mexico, Mid-Continent, and the Gulf Coast region of Texas. The company also has interests in Malaysia and China.

Today Sanderson Farms is the fourth-largest poultry-producer in the United States. Sigma-Aldrich is the result of the 1975 merger between Aldrich Chemical Company and and Sigma International, Ltd. The companies had complementary product offerings and the newly formed company experienced double-digit growth in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

By 2001 Sigma-Aldrich manufactured more than 110,000 chemical products, with a total product offering of 230,000 products. Products are sold to 100,000 customers, including laboratories which conduct government and commercial research.

The company’s two main business segments are Research Chemicals, which include specialties, essentials, and biotech, and Fine Chemicals, which are used in commercial applications.

In 2014 Sigma-Aldrich agreed to be acquired by pharmaceutical giant Merck in a $17 billion deal.

Armstrong World Industries Corporate Office

Armstrong World Industries was founded by Thomas M. Armstrong and John D. Glass in 1860 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They founders carved cork bottle stoppers by hand and delivered them in a wheelbarrow.
