The Manly/Jayhawker party states that they were saved by this naturally occurring spring after walking through the Mojave Desert in 1849, on their way to California, during the Gold Rush Period.

The company makes more than 100 types of soda pop and flavored beers from the water of this artesian spring.  Originally starting as a lodge and restaurant, Indian Wells Brewing was founded in 1995, in a side room inside the restaurant. The company now has a 10,000 square foot facility that offers daily tours.

Indian Wells Brewing Company is well known for unique beer flavors such as Death Valley Pale Ale, Lobotomy Bock, and Orange Blossom Amber. Soda flavors include such names as “Gross Gus’s Dragon Drool” and “Pimple Pop” flavors.
