Hasbro was founded in 1923 by brothers Henry, Hilal, and Herman Hassenfeld as Hassenfeld Brothers. The company sold textile remnants for the next two decades, expanding into school supplies and pencil cases.
When the cost of pencils rose the company began making its own pencil cases. In the 1940’s Hassenfeld Brothers began making its first toys: doctors and nurses kits. By 1942 the company was becoming primarily a toy company.
The company’s first toy was Mr. Potato Head in 1952. In 1954 Hassenfeld Brothers became a major licensee for Disney.
In 1968 the company changed its name to Hasbro Industries.
Today Hasbro is the #2 toy maker in the United States after Mattel. Hasbro is the producer of G.I. Joe, Play-Doh, Tonka toys, Mr. Potato Head, Nerf Balls, and My Little Pony. The company also makes board games, such as Scrabble, Candy Land, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, and Magic: The Gathering.
Hasbro is traded publicly on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol HAS, is a member of the S&P 500, is #597 in the Fortune 1000, has 5,000 employees, and had $4.26 billion in revenue in 2013.

Hi there,
I am after 2 x sets of the Nerf Blazin Bow Arrow Refills.
My son loves his bow, but unfortunately his little brother ate the two remaining bullets we still had.
I have trolled through each and every toy shop in Australia.
They are available on your American site for $5.99 for a pack of 6 and the only ones I have found available in Australia are from someone re-selling on ebay for $49.99 for 3.
And we want 12 if we can get our hands on them!
I have tried to order via your American site, but it only allows postage within America and Canada.
Is there any way I could send payment and have them posted to me in Australia?
Many thanks
Regards,
Mel Bradford-Evans
A hopeful Mum.

Dear Hasbro,
I can’t help but feel disgusted by your new game “speak out”. When I hear the words speak out.. In general I think of speaking up for yourself. Unfortunately, your game is quite the contrary. I feel disgusted when I watch people play this game. My son since 2 years old has fought a speech disabilty. I could not even fathom how this game would make him feel. To see that people think its hilarious when you cant actually articulate what you arw trying to say. Thank goodness he is only 6 years old and will hopefully not even know this game exists. Why make fun of a persons difficulty to articulate words?! That is a real thing that children and adults suffer from every single day. Kids with apraxia know what they want to say but their brain and mouth can’t work together to get the words out correctly. And it’s truly frustrating to the kids and family’s who have to deal with this struggle every single day. I cannot help but feel mocked by your game. It truly saddens me. These kids are fighting so hard against their apraxia. Somehow as a toy company and your #1 customers being children and parents you need to look at this and make it right to your customers . This is truly hurtful….
