The company operates retail stores which focus on outdoor clothing and footwear, hunting, fishing, and camping equipment, along with knives, new and used guns, ammunition, flashlights, lasers, optics, holsters, and personal defense products such as pepper spray.

I have a100 dollar Gander Mountain gift card.. I can’t use it, I can’t sell it. It doesn’t even work to the satisfaction of making lines to snort goodies. (LOL). You people suck big time!

Good afternoon,
I bought a gift card for my brother for Christmas and when he went to use it the store informed him he was unable to use it due to the store closing down they told him to go on a website (mnb.uscourts.gov/epoc/) when I went on this website to make a claim it was asking questions I will not answer on a computer or phone. I have the gift card and original receipt and I need to know how I can be reimbursed or when I can use the gift card. Gander Mountain already received my $100.00 and I would like someone to help me with this matter please contact me via email or phone …

On January 7, 2016 Jennifer was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. that had spread to her liver. In June 2016, cancer had shrunk with chemo and Jennifer was put a smaller dose of chemo as. In November 2016, Jennifer had a pet scan and we learned that the cancer had started to grow in her colon and liver again. In December 2016 full chemo had started up again. In July 2017 Jennifer had another pet scan and we found out the cancer was still growing in her liver and lymph nodes. At this time chemo is no longer an option and we went for a consult with Mayo Clinic at the end of July. At Mayo we found out that the only option was to take a pill to help slow the cancer down. We are coming to the end of that treatment. We are living each day at a time with love and prayers as a family. We are having a fundraiser on October 28 including a bake sale, costume contest, Chinese (bucket) Raffles, 50/50 Raffles, Silent Auction, and much more. We are looking for any donations to generate more money to help and support this family in their time of need. This fundraiser is very important to me because this is my brother and sister in law, Jennifer. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless!

My husband purchased a Savage Trophy Hunter XP left handed rifle at the Huntsville, Alabama before they closed. He was very excited to find a left handed rifle for me to give him as a birthday present this year. All of the paperwork that came with the rifle is for a Nikon scope. The scope was that was attached to the gun was a cheaper bushnell. This was very disappointed. WHO can I contact and what can be done about this? Apparently the scope was switched at the store, with noone caring since they were closing. Even for a store that is closing, this is sneaky and not ethical at all.

Are you still planning on opening a new store on Blairsferry Rd N.E. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa? I live near there and there sure doesn’t seem to be much happening at the site, though you have built a building and done landscaping. ???

Bought a handgun in your Middletown, NY store. Asked when the store was closing was told
August 27th. I asked if the store closed before my revised permit arrived what would happen. Was told my handgun would be shipped to a local gun shop. This past Wednesday they sent all the handguns back. (Mine was paid for in full). They did not have the decency to call me. They blamed the Orange Clerk (NY) for not expediting the revised permits which was a lie since I received mine on the Monday before they sent the handguns back. A heads up phone call would have been the proper thing to do. Third world country customer service. Tell me how I can get my handgun.

I went to the the store in Spring,Tx on 7/18/17 and was followed throughout the whole store. I couldn’t enjoy shopping with my family. Went to other stores and never had a problem like this. I was never asked did I need help until 45 minutes in the store. But the questions asked did I need help finding anything? (Normal)what am I shopping for? Then she walked down the isle and constantly watched in every department. Being the bigger person I ignored them for another hour until manager passed another customer smiled and kept walking on to us and asked again how are we doing then I explained to her how I felt about being followed she turned her back to talk to someone else and then walked back over saying I’m just working and I’m going to need you to leave and I can call the cops on you. (For nothing but shopping)Then there was an exchange of words. All this for shopping and being an innocent, honest customer. Being judged for skin tone with a clean record. Blown away by the lack of professionalism. To top it off by management supposedly with “TRAINING” I hate to say it or take it there and never pull that card but this is all it was very HURTFUL and EMBARRASSING the way she handled it in front of other customers.

I had been contacting one of Gander Mountains Store for a few days (Eden Prairie) trying to find some simple information, but every time I got a hold of a person on the other line they either placed me on hold for 20 min or transferred my call to every department but the one I was looking for. Today I had someone on the phone (CS) and asked to be transferred, and I was told that they were to busy to answer any “non-sense questions” . My reply was well maybe I should got some where else. His responses was maybe you should, and before I could say anything else he said “go f&ck your self a$$ hole!” Well of course I called back 4 times, to try to get a manager on the line, and when I got a hold of someone, the same rep told me that the manager was way to busy to deal with a**holes. WTH! I’m soooo glad that customer service is #1 for Gander Mountain. It shows that treating customers like crap goes along way. I’m sad that their going under, but happy beyond belief that no other people will need to deal with Reps. Having individuals and management treating customers the way I have, says values on Gander Mountain as a whole.

I live in Arlington, TX. I have been to your store three times. Your customer service sucks. I waited 15 minutes at the counter to get some help. One person was filling out a form to purchase a gun which kept that employee occupied. Several other people came in after I did. One of the three employees went to a back room, I never saw him again. After about ten minutes one of the other employees went to the other end of the counter where the new arrivals were. He walked in front of me without giving me a second glance. I am a senior citizen and I have money to buy. I have never had anyone offer to help me and I am a well-dressed individual. I can easily see why Gander Mountain is going out of business in Arlington–poor customer service. I will never step foot in another of your stores as Long as I live. You have plenty of competition who will and do offer to help me.

I recently purchased a firearm online from a competitor as they would not match pricing. Gander said they would do the FFL transfer for a fee. After the online store shipped it to them, they are refusing to transfer the firearm. The online store sent them a prepaid return shipping and gander is refusing to ship the handgun back. Basically they have liked to me and are now stealing my firearm. I would avoid this company at all cost. I used to be a loyal supporter of gander but can no trust or support them.
This was in the morissville store in NC. Avoid gander at all cost.

So I bought some things there last night 6/1/17. I too knew the sales were supposed to be final and I understand that fully. I get home and get the things out of the bag and realized the pair of GS whisper fleece micro field pants I saw on the hanger marked mediums turned out to be 2XL. I weigh 145 LBS. I called the Williamsport PA store and talked to the manager AMY and explained and said all I want to do is exchange them or get something else for that amount not wanting the cash back and she flat out refused. There changing names for God’s sake not closing the doors and there’s absolutely no reason she couldn’t have helped me. So anybody out there need a pair of 2XL camo pants drop me a line a jfollmer015 at yahoo.com.

I came into you guys store on may 15th trying to purchase a xd .45 and got accused of smelling like marijuana. It was about 10 people that walked back and forth . Daniel inquired if i had marijuana with me , which i told him no and told him i would empty the bag for him and showed him my eyes. Im about to go to the air force and just got a root canal 6 days earlier so I couldnt smoke if i wanted to. He wasnt trying to hear that. I came back the next day and simply inquired about bullets while he is at the register . I Felt stereotyped. I walked away and he was at the register slandering me without any proof i smoked or anything to a dude saying “i cant believe he came back, are you guys together(because he was black), he came in here after he just smoked, I hate people like him . After he was done i tried to buy some bullets for my fn 5.7 and he acted like he didnt hear me and walked fast to the back and never came back. This is crazy. That is unacceptable. Never felt like that before. I came into you guys establishment to support your sale like i regularly do and was treated unfairly.

We spent $1100 in this store. We had a good purchasing experience however the firearm safe we purchased to protect children from accessing them did not work when we got it home. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE with children in the home. We wanted to exchange only for one that worked, NOT return for a refund. We were told no, all sales final. They would still have the sale, just on a different item. Apparently protecting kids and their safety is not a priority over making money. Very unsatisfied and disgusted with their ethics. I’m on board with anyone taking this to higher level’s attention.

i WENT TO GANDER MOUNTAIN LAST NIGHT, I HAVE ALMOST $200 WORTH OF CERTIFICATES, I PURCHASED THAT MUCH IN MERCHANDISE, I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT USE MY CERTIFICATES, I WAS GOING TO RETURN THE MERCHANDISE, THEN I WAS TOLD THAT I DID NOT HAVE TO THAT GANDER MOUNTAIN CREDIT CARD WILL HONOR MY CERTIFICATES AND DEDUCT FROM MY STATEMENT. I KEPT THE MERCHANDISE AND PASSED THE SHOES TO MY SON, MY KIDS ARE WEARING THE CLOTHING. I CALL TODAY AND THAT IS WRONG! THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY WILL NOT HONOR THESE, I WAS LIED TOO. WHEN I CALLED GANDER MOUNTAIN TO TALK WITH SOMEONE IT WAS MORE OF A “I AM SORRY…” THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REACH THE CEO, OR SOMEONE OVER CUSTOMER SERVICE? THIS IS PLAIN WRONG, I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THE MERCHANDISE. PERIOD. I WOULD HAVE RETURNED IT. LET ME HEAR FROM PEOPLE PLEASE.

Went to Plattsburgh NY store on 5/6. Signs all over say everything in store is 10 – 30% off so went to look at rifles. Firearms were not on sale according to the clerk. Picked up 2 boxes of Remington 270 rifle shells and went to the cashier. He told customers ahead of me that items were 10 – 30 % off. Turns out my items scanned at $19.99 which is the regular price. Told me they weren’t on sale. Sounds like a complaint waiting to be filed with the New York Attorney Generals office.

February 9, 2017 I made a purchase and was asked to open a Gander Mountain credit card and I did. The process was seamless as I have excellent credit. February 15th I received a letter from the card issuing bank (Comenity Bank), stating the interest rate to be charged would be 21.24%. I called to ask why and was basically told take it or leave it. Here is what I told the bank representative, “when I receive the statement it will be paid in full and the account will be closed, 21.24% is highway robbery and your senior management doesn’t even bother to wear masks..” My credit score is 759. They should be bending over backwards for a customer who has never missed a payment in his life. You need a new credit card company. Would you accept this type of rate for a credit card?
