Fuddruckers was founded in 1979 by Philip Romano in San Antonio, Texas. Originally named Freddie Fuddruckers,  the original location was an old bank that Romano converted into a restaurant. Romano believed America was in need of better hamburgers than what most restaurants offered.  By 1988, there were 150 restaurants, however, Romano sold the chain as he felt he had gone as far as he could with hamburgers. Romano went on to found Romano’s Macaroni Grill.

After the 2008 recession, Fuddruckers was sold to Luby’s at an auction for $61 million.

Fuddruckers is a casual dining establishment that specializes in hamburgers of all types and sizes, including the famous Inferno burger and the half pound burger.

The company now has more than 77 restaurants and 111 franchises, along with locations in 11 countries, the most recent one opening in 2015 in Como, Italy.

The parent company of Fuddruckers, Luby’s, extended their contract to own and control Fuddruckers until at least February 2021.

On January 2,2020, Luby’s announced a partnership for delivery service between Fuddrucker’s and DoorDash.

Headquarters for Fuddruckers is located in Houston, Texas.

I’ve worked for Fuddruckers in 2 different locations, (Kerrville TX and College Station TX) I’ve been calling people, emailing them regarding our 2020 W2’s. When you call the number it tells you to go to “my-estub.com”. When i go there, the W2s are not posted. I talked to one of the employers on “my-estub.com”, and they say that Fuddruckers is no longer using their services and that Fuddruckers quit using them in 2019. If y’all quit using them then why do y’all state that the W2s are on there? I’ve been calling and emailing different people that work within Fuddruckers and I can never seem to get anyone to reply. I have always had a problem with receiving m W2s from y’all. It’s kinda ridiculous how this is always happening.

Hello, I am trying to obtain my W2 from the Pembroke Pines, FL. Fuddruckers. I worked there 2 years ago and they never called me nor mailed my W2 to me. I have been chasing them for a while and always get the run around and ignored and not helped what so ever. The GM Evelio always hiding or never there when I show up in person. When I call the employees are always giving an excuse for him to dodge my calls. Constantly claiming that he made an error and is now fixing it and never does. I believe what he is doing is federally illegal and he is messing with my W2 and my ability to get this taken care of with my taxes. I need help. On top of that, my friend who worked there for over a year, was giving her 2 week notice verbally, before she officially was ready to leave. So that she would not leave suddenly. Trying to be responsible. She was 17 at the time, this was just this past August/September 2020. However, Evelio told her that it was her official last day instead of his accepting her 2 week resignation and tricked my friend into signing a resignation form, without her having anyone there on her corner to allow her to understand as a minor what she was signing. It was only him and another manager he briefly called in that did not even speak english and needed translating from him to Spanish for her to understand what was going on. She was not a witness until that point. her name was MisLadis or Ladis. I know this because my friend explained this to me and her mother already tried sending an email to you all in corporate about this. That location is Franchised but those people are very shady the way they do business in there.

Not sure which number you called, but the number in our listing worked fine. Don’t forget to put the number 1 before the area code.

We had an awesome first experience at the Norfolk Va. Fudruckers. The food was great but the service was excellent. His name was Frederick and he even did a magic trick at the very end. I felt bad because I gave my credit card initially and thought from there out it was self serve. When it came time to tip him, there was no option. Frederick was such a nice guy he told us it’s no problem and for us to have a wonderful night. I drove to an ATM and took out $20 to tip him and you should have seen the smile on his face. There needs to be a way for him to not only be recognized because the guy loves his job. There also needs to be an easier way to tip this gentleman. Thank you for your time.

Last Thursday, I joined my fellow employees and we ordered burgers burger’s to be delivered by door dash from the Fuddruckers located at 2847 Preston road in Frisco Tx. My half lb. cheese burger was not in the bag through I had paid using my credit card. The response from Fuddruckers is that the burger was include and given to the driver. It was the same response we were given two weeks earlier when the condiments were not delivered. I called the corporate office to complain and was told that AI would be hearing from someone within 24 to 48 hour. My complaint was given around 4 p.m. Thursday, and I have yet to hear from anyone. I guess my patronage is as irrelevant to corporate as it is to the individual manager who didn’t give me what I paid for. Shame on you guys. You lost a customer and those I influence for life over a stupid 1/2 lb. cheeseburger.

I ordered from Uber eats from the store in Pembroke Pines Fl and my order was missing half of the items. Every time I called they manager kept hanging up on me. I kept calling back and finally someone even worse than the manager answered the phone and was super rude. I was shocked to know the manager allowed an employee to speak that way to a customer. I would not be returning here or ordering from here ever again. It’s sad to think people can treat others like this, all that I wanted was to receive the items that I paid for.

After a burger I stepped up to the bakery and asked for a loaf of bread, one of three showing in the case. They refused to sell it to me. The manager (morbidly obese and haughty)when she finally got there, told me she needed the bread for her own use. When I asked why they didn’t just cook more bread for customers I got a negative reply. No more Fuddrusker’s for me, which is a shame as I used to eat there often. But then, there are lots of places around that serve hamburgers.

April 11, 2019 I purchased a company order totaling approx. $66 from the location at Windy Hill Road in Marietta, GA. They left out one order that was $12.99. When I got back to the office I called and the manager said my credit card would be refunded that amount. It wasn’t until my credit card bill arrived that I realized that amount had not been refunded. This was two weeks ago and I have been calling Lionel, the manager ever since. He keeps telling me he’s sent emails and had I heard from them? Whoever ‘them’ is. And no, I have not. Obviously, they don’t care enough to contact me. The manager in any other establishment will make the decision to comp you a meal on the spot. Yesterday I sent an email to their corporate office and have not heard back from them. I buy company lunches for 10 people 4 days a week…I will NEVER go back to Fuddruckers again and will not miss an opportunity to share my experience.

We went to the Tempe, AZ location about a year ago and all of our burgers were overcooked. The next closest location, Mesa, is more than a 1/2 hour away. We planned to travel to that further location for a birthday celebration just to make sure that our burgers were cooked properly as we’ve never had overcooked burgers at the Mesa location. However, the birthday boy was tired and didn’t want to travel to the Mesa location. So, we took our chances and went back to the Tempe location. Alas, a year later and all of our burgers were overcooked AGAIN! My sister decided to send her burger back and it came out a second time OVERCOOKED! I called the manager the next day. He told me that he has replaced his entire staff within the year so it could not have been the cook’s fault. Hello Fudds, the obvious common denominator is the manager. Maybe he’s not training his cooks properly but I promise you, I will never go back to the Tempe location ever again! See ya later Tempe!!

I took my son and two of his friends to eat at Fuddruckers, in Union City, CA. We ordered Milkshakes and burgers. Our milkshakes were delivered to us. Shortly after our hamburgers were ready and we went and got them. You put your own condiments on your burgers at a condiment station. When we got back from putting our condiments on, a lady had thrown away all of our milkshakes, water glasses and she was cleaning our table. We obviously weren’t happy and she quickly realized what she did. She told me she would replace our drinks. We never saw her again. The place got busy and trying to talk to someone was impossible.
Fuddruckers has the worst customer service! Emailed a complaint and still couldn’t get an answer. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I like! It’s a corporate place, that serves people, but doesn’t care what kind of service they provide! Eating big burgers are cool, but no drinks suck.

I went to the fudruckers in Denton Texas on a Tuesday evening after 6:00 after trying to get them to answer their phone for over two hours to place an order to go. Finally thinking they must be very busy I drove there to find they were not busy at all. They just refuse to answer their phone. That should have been the first indicator they were not really in to good service or cared about their company. I placed my order for a burbon hamburger and onion rings and paid my $11.50. I went out and took a seat and after fourty minutes and seeing all the people that were with me placing the order finish their meals and leaving , I finally went to find where my food was. The employees were all idle and visiting and were taken back and obviously they did not know what I was talking about. They then admitted they did not have the burger that I had ordered. Waiting for fourty minutes to find out these Morons had not come to tell me anything. I guess I would still be there if I wouldn’t have call it to their attention . They gave me a refund of my money with no real discussion or explanation. I have never seen a more poorly run establishment with rude illiterate employees in my life. Reading that Lubbys owns this rat hole makes perfect sense. . My advice is don’t eat at these restaurants for any reason . There are plenty of other restaurants that care about their product and their customers. This one doesn’t. By the way. Looking at the person, and how he looked cooking this food, it might have been better that I didn’t get my food if you know what I mean.

I went to Fuddruckers on October 31st 2018 at 12:15 in the afternoon I purchased my meal with two brownies as dessert for two employees in my office that generally eats it because of me most of my co-workers and even supervisor eat at Fuddruckers in Pembroke Pines Florida I had an incident where today the ate the brownie the both of them had upset stomach and diarrhea they had to reset home because they kept going back and forth to the bathroom and could not control their bowel movements I called the restaurant spoke with Erica who said she would have to have a higher Superior return or call back to me which he did however speaking to him I felt disrespected as if I was a liar as if I was looking to get money back for the two brownies that I purchased . I go there all the time and spend more than today. first he hit me with do I know the five sense of sickness illness explaining to me different illness ecola I asked him what that have to do with the with the brownie that I purchased I didn’t care about no ecola I just wanted to him to understand that 2 co workers end up going home with uncontrollable bow movement. He just kept arguing with me that it’s not their brownies I told him I don’t feel that he was being sympathetic about 2 people I gave food to is now sick with a stomach bug and all he keep saying it’s not from us I was so furious I just hung up the phone because he wasn’t helping me out with the situation. Now I will proceed further and make it known everywhere even will call the BBB

I hate to do this but something needs to change at the Fuddruckers in Amarillo. I don’t eat here often but my granddaughter wanted to go there so we did. It’s Friday night at 5:45 and we are one of 6 tables occupied. We wait about 7-8 mins for our food but the 2 shakes we ordered for the girls did not come. We ask and they said they were coming. After 3 or 4 trips asking about them they finally made it just as the girls were done with there burger. After talking to the manager she told me they had to go get strawberries for it. Really it’s Friday night. This exact say thing has happened to us the last 3 trip here. It’s sad cause you can have great food but with sorry service it doesn’t matter. I just hope this problem will be addressed for the next person cause it will be a long time before I will return if at all.

This location has the worst customer service I’ve ever received! My family and I don’t eat red meat! This has been our lifestyle change for over a year now! So we decide to have a burger!!! We order 4 Turkey Burgers, Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Drinks, n Shakes! Although we waited 20 min for our food! They still managed to get our order incorrect! The gave all of us beef burgers!!!!! Which 2 of my 3 kids bit!! Upon realizing I spoke to cashier about it! She actually denied we ordered Turkey Burgers!!! Instead of admitting the mistake! Then AARON HOOD Manager come to counter! He then asked me if I was sure I’d ordered Turkey!!!! I explained to him how long we hadn’t eaten beef, so I was positive. He then told me I had two options in a very rude manner! Never apologized at all! When I told him he was being rude he then repeated my two options and also added! That’s all I can do for you! Do you want the money or the food! I told him he had a sh**ty attitude n was very rude to be a restaurant manager! He then took the food and threw the receipt on the counter! No refund No food! This location will be getting a complaint at the BBB, and I will be contacting the Fuddruckers Corporate Office Located in Houston Texas!! As well as emailing The General Manager Suzanne Ward! To alert her of the type of dishonest employees and rude unapologetic unprofessional her evening manager AARON HOOD REALLY IS!! This was a horrible experience after just re-opening this location!!!

I am a single father of a beautiful daughter named Juna meza. She has stage 3 autism and depends on me emotionally and more importantly financially. I was employed for 2 weeks at the Branson mo location and recently let go over a slanderous email complaint of 2 teenage employees who all they did was talk with each other and go outside to smoke. When I was employed I separated them and put them to work. They got upset about this and decided to email corporate and get me fired under some false accusations that didn’t transpire. Unless I get my job back I will be getting ahold of all the news channesl and my lawyer. They will all be aware of the truth and the fact your company has endangered my autistic daughter’s life by firing me.

Very disappointed that Fuddruckers is no longer allowing sr citizens to order the kids meal. We don’t eat as much as we did when we were younger and those big meals are to much food. The kids meal was the perfect size and the cost was very affordable for those on a limited income. Found out you now charge for the nacho cheese. How sad

On Friday, February 2, 2018 I took my family to your location in Waco, TX. I have noticed over the last few visits that the restaurant is on the decline. I.E. trash on the floor – never see anyone coming around and sweeping. The food comes out and is not really hot and the worst is – the back half of the restaurant smells like sewer back up. I get the feeling that no one at that restaurant (including management) cares about this location. If you want better results for your restaurants , I suggest a revamp on training from top down/ corp office to the cook. If you don’t have a buy in from your employees on Fuddruckers restaurant philosophy, then you are on the decline, which from reading the comments is already happening.

We seriously don’t ask for much. Just plain basic decent courtesy. The order takes long… we get patient to a fault.
But when you see 2 young girls “”just”” standing near the register talking.
And all the orders crowded & sitting on the counter & they don’t even once call to anyone. I just thought they had a big order. Finally I got up to see one that looked like what I ordered. For 20 minutes no one was called to pick up their orders. I told the girl I ordered a raw burger it was probably cooked & cold. She was rudely dismissive like she couldn’t care less. Okay then … stay the same. * she did* she still did not call anyone else at,all. My ruckus caused people to go & check & get their orders.
KEEP IT UP FUDD RUCKERS!!! ITS NOT GONNA HURT ME. APPARENTLY, FROM THE COMPLAINTS I’M READING & “”THE”” I–DON’T-GIVE-A-S**T–ATTITUDE FROM THOSE
2 good-for-nothing GIRLS. Add me to the group. No one’s left to give a s**t.

I have not been to fuddruckers in a while, but on July 28, 2017 I decided to try the turkey burgers. My order was not successfully completed so I called to speak to the manager (Steven Hart) and he refused to correct it. HE suggested calling the corporate number because they would better assist me. His reason was that he (Steven) had to investigate and give me a call back, but there was nothing he could do. Very unprofessional and I will no longer be returning to fuddruckers as their management team is very disrespectful.

Rapid City,SD location: The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We arrived and nobody would even acknowledge us. The supervisor Suzanne looked at us and wouldn’t even say hi or anything. We stood there for fifteen minutes and they didn’t say a word. The supervisor spoke to different employees about money and schedules as we stood by being ignored. We even watched a family complaining to them about the slow service. I video taped part of the wait and will be sending it in to their corporate office. Stay away from this place!!!

I went to the Fuddruckers on Kirkwood and Westheimer on Saturday. First of all the manager on messed up my order and she didn’t even fix it. The dishwasher came from the back and fixed everything for me. A little while later we started to smell smoke coming from the dining area. The manager didn’t do anything. If it wasn’t for the cashiers and the dishwasher, the building would have burned down. That store needs new management. The workers do a lot more than they do.

The poor customer service at the McKinney store is one of the worst. Little Miss Attitude, better known as Alexa W., needs an adjustment or a job in back end collections with such a nasty attitude. She really ought to be ashamed of herself. We walk in and start to order. I ask about a particular item on the menu and she suddenly gets extremely rude, VERY snappy and kept cutting us off while we tried to give her our order. She did not even get out full order rung up because she was too busy giving out major attitude. I told the manager who was an older tall gray haired man who acted like he did not give two whistles about the situation. He also should be ashamed for allowing such a little girl with a piss poor attitude have a job. Shameful.

    Good morning,
I have been coming to your restaurant for almost 30 years, and in that time, I am usually very impressed with the quality of product and service you present. Unfortunately, on 11/16 at your Downers Grove location at 12:30, this was not the case. I usually have at least 3 of my 4 kids with me when I dine there approximately twice a month, so you can imagine what the average ticket might be, and with that being said, this is the first time I have ever felt inclined to write to corporate.

On this particular day, when I walked through the door, it was business as usual. Greeted kindly by the staff. The cashier was friendly and kind. And the store, which had been recently updated, was clean…even when I walked in right after the lunch rush. My issues come when receiving my order. 1/3 pounder medium rare w/onion rings. When I picked up the order, the burger was flimsy looking and well done. It looked like it had come off the line me at McDonalds. I walked back to the manager, who was working the line 10 feet away from me, held up the patty, and asked her if this was supposed to be a 1/3 pound medium rare. She didn’t come over and address any questions or concerns I had, she simply stayed out and said “yep”.

As I said, I have been coming to your restarting for years, and for the most part, my experiences have mostly been enjoyable. So I would like to think this is but a hiccup and not so much S.O.P. I can also tell you that it only takes a couple of these types of visits before you lose a customer and his $50 average tickets. What is most upsetting isn’t the food presentation, which was far from what is to be expected, it’s the lack of care and concern from a customer service aspect…especially from the manager! I did take pictures. If you would like to see them, please let me know an email address I can send them. I felt it important to share this experience with you in hopes that it was just a bump in the road and not what is to be expected. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Good Day,
I ordered a carry out meal of the Catfish Platter for 14.99. When the food was given to me, I opened the container and I found only ONE SMALL PIECE OF FISH! I was livid, how can a PLATTER come with ONLY ONE PIECE OF FISH with the price tag of nearly 15.00?
My family apologized that they didn’t ask how many pieces of fish came with the order but I’m like.” No, when something says platter, we would hope that it’s more than ONE PIECE OF MEAT!”
This is so wrong on many levels, I will never order that meal again!
What can you do to compensate me on this situation because I feel duped!
    Ms. Miller

Grilled chicken 1-2 mins over cooked.
Don’t add croutons until serving salad. Otherwise great. No. 2 best grilled chick salad next to Becks.
