The Original Pancake House is a chain of pancake houses throughout the United States.

The Original Pancake House was founded by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke in Portland, Oregon in 1953.

The founders had culinary experience and knowledge of ethnic pancake recipes, which they combined to make a unique and original menu featuring Swedish Pancakes, Sourdough Flap Jacks, Apple Pancake, Dutch Baby, and French Crepes, among others.

The Original Pancake House is known for making all ingredients from scratch and using fresh, wholesome ingredients.

The partners quickly began franchising and by 2005 Anytime Fitness had 77 locations.

By 2012 Anytime Fitness had expanded to 10 countries: Canada, Australia, Grand Cayman, Japan, Mexico, Holland, Poland, New Zealand, Qatar, and the U.K.

Anytime Fitness locations are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  There are gym locations in all 50 states and 50 countries worldwide.

Due to the coronavirus crisis of 2020, many gym owners are building gyms outdoors so users feel safer.   

The chain has 4,520 gym locations, over 2 million clients, and had $1.45 billion in revenue in 2019.

The company’s first product was a new socket wrench that had ten sockets that snapped on to five interchangeable handles.

Today Snap-on manufactures hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, ratchet wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, punches and chisels, saws and cutting tools, power tools, electric tools, and tool storage products.

The company also provides PC-based diagnostic products and “under car” shop implements for mechanics and car makers.

Denny’s is a full-service fast casual family restaurant chain. The restaurants are known for being open 24 hours where allowed by law and for serving breakfast all day.

Denny’s was founded by Richard Jezak and Harold Butler as Danny’s Donuts in California in 1953.

By 1959 the chain had expanded to 20 restaurants and was rebranded Denny’s to avoid confusion with a similarly named chain, Doughnut Dan’s.

In 1963 Denny’s began franchising and today most Denny’s restaurants are franchises.

Today Denny’s has 1,600 franchised, licensed, and company-owned restaurants across the United States. A further 100 restaurants are located internationally in Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, Guam, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Chile, El Salvador, and New Zealand.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine in the first half of 2020, many restaurant chains, including Denny’s are at risk of closing permanantely.
