I have been shopping at your location in Loveland, CO since it opened. Since this summer there have been issues with the doing store pickups. The inventory has not been correct. I always have issues with my order and when I contacted customer service when I had 1 order completely canceled, they just said sorry and that was it. They didn’t try to fix the problem in any way. It was like no one cared. It is the holiday season. My next order was just today when the squishmallows dropped. My daughter loves them. I was trying to get her and my son some for Xmas. I ordered at 630am and the inventory showed available. By the time the store filled my order at 9am, half my order wasn’t fulfilled. I contacted customer service again and asked for my order to just be canceled. I decided that I had to just ordered everything to my house was the only way to get what I needed. (This was the 2nd time ordering online due to all if this). Customer service didn’t pay any attention to what they were doing and canceled my online order and not the store order. How can so many things get so messed up at 1 store and customer service not care at all. This company obviously does not care about their customers.

I was at the 5 & below on East Washington st Indianapolis indiana I was shopping for stocking stuffers I was supposed to pay 86.14 well I dug threw my purse added a bunch of change and also 15 $ from my purse when I hit change payment it went back to the original total I called a associate they called the manger she came over told me I was a liar she canceled my order re rang all my stuff it came back to the 86.14 I said I know please go check your camera footage you will see that I inserted all this money she said she did and it didn’t show me putting my money in I said Ma’am that’s not true I most definitely put this money in there I have never had this happen before anywhere I have shopped so I call non emergency police had them come up they were going to look at the cameras to see if I was telling the truth conveniently her keys were missing and she couldn’t let the officer in to see the footage so then the officer says at the end of the night if the jore is over you will get your money back but guess who is in charge of counting down the jore she is the one that says I never put any cash in but the associate said I seen her putting cash in I want answers I am upset I was stolen from if I had stole from this company they would have had me arrested but that doesn’t give them the right to steal from me the consumer either I have the name of the assistant manager and also the associate and I have the police officer name and a incident report please get to the bottom of this what is right is right and what is fair is fair

We are highly upset with Five below on E main st due to how we were treated while working there, a miscommunication happened and we have tried to apologize to the ones that were part of it but they fired us instead of talking to us. I feel this was on a very personal level due to the outside relationships I had with the mangers. I have tired letting everything that went on go and be the adult about this but us getting fired is ridiculous. It seems y’all only hire people to get the store all set up and ready then let those workers go.

Me and my kids love 5 below. We frequent shop at the Durham NC location, until today!!! We will no longer be shopping there. The “store manager” was VERY rude and unprofessional not only towards me and my children but also in front of other customers. Her and the other co workers where in the store laughing, talking and playing today when me and my mom needed help. I kindly tried to ask for help but they guy standing there turned her head and the “store manager” turned on this loud machine as I was trying to talk to them. When i finally got there attention to let them know we needed help the “store manager” said in a rude voice “there’s an associate right there” and rolled her eyes. Then said rudely to the associate “go help them”. Long story short me and her got into an argument she was been loud and cursing in front of other customers and their children. Then told me she was going to call the police as if she wasn’t in the wrong. Once outside I apologize to the other customer and her children for what had occurred in front of them. The other customer even said that I was not in the wrong and how rude and disrespectful the lady was. I let them know that I would be contacting corporate and the lady said she would contact too because that was totally unacceptable! I will NEVER shop at that store again!

I love five below in Dearborn mi especially their employees are welcoming and making sure we found everything we wanted but I seen an employee get kind of chewed out by I think the manager or another employee not sure it’s was something she said wasn’t doing but the young lady was doing multiple things greeting customers helping customers and different tasks I don’t know her name but when I come she is welcoming I like to shop in the morning/mid day so it gets pretty busy but today she was doing everything while other employees was just walking around not doing anything or acting like they doing something I don’t know the young lady name but she needs to be recognized she always up beat when I come to shop I give credit when it’s do

FIVE BELOW WE HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM..
I was working for Five Below for less than a year, and while I was working there, Im not going to lie I had fun working and laughing with customers and the co-workers. Until things started going left with our store manager walking out on us plus others. So it left me the MM at the time and the PT support lead to step up and do alot of work and run the store until we got a new store manager. So we had people from Abilene and Lubbock step in to help us also but that wasn’t all great either. We finally got a new store manager and things were going good at first until she started treating people unfair with cutting hours of the people who has been there since we opened, Bringing in people from her old job without properly interviewing them and showing favoritism. Then there was an incident that happened recently to where i lost my job there after i walked away to defuse the situation and the other person followed me outside, yelled at me and put their hand in my face but still has his job. Then It was told to us the people it involved that we couldnt speak of the situation to noone that wasnt there. But the store manager was telling people it had nothing to do with and they called me asking questions.. I find it unfair that thats happened and nothing is being done about it. And if thats how things are going to be done while working there and thats how they treat people and its allowed, then im honestly glad I dont work there anymore. I busted my tail day in and day out, might have complained but i still showed up. When i was sick I still showed up, NEVER called in not once while I was there. But because I said it was BS that i had to clock out for no reason when i was doing my job, I lost my job and he got to keep his? Now thats the real BS..

I had heard nothing but great things about 5Below. My wife, the fellas & babygirl Always have a good time. Oh yea, they’re white. So 10/25/21…i go…smh. From the jump, i was followed like a fed squad car tailing a fugitive. I even zigged and zagged. Damn! He did too! So i politely spoke with him off to the side. He apologized. I believe he has hardly mingled with minorities. I guess. My wife became uncomfortable and the fellas purchased their items and went outside to sit in the vehicle because they felt some type of way. I join them in the vehicle and they hone in on my lady. When she went to check out…she was the ONLY CUSTOMER that had all items checked. And no it wasnt because of the 10 item limit sh*t. She felt disrespected. Glad i came in to be honest, it was gonna be some smoke in tha city. We didnt give them what they wanted or expected tho. I went in and spoke with “GM.” She did explain some policies. Mainly repeating her title to let it be know she’s the boss lol. She kept interrupting when i spoke and finally i killed that. Believe i let her know that I’m college educated and a combat Vet. Its heavy here also. My vocab can get on that big boi talk also…and to top it off, she claims for “security” the employees follow and watch the customer yet while we were up front by the checkout ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES STOOD AND EAVESDROPPED instead doing their job. A demeaning and embarrassing experience for me & my vanilla fam! Come on its 2021. Good luck!

I just want to say that I received “excellent customer” service from a young lady named NASIYA, I am not adding her last name but she needs to be acknowledged, so I am adding the store (212). Located in Alexandria, VA. First of all, she acknowledged me as soon as she saw me approaching the register.
She kindly told me that her register was open as I hesitantly reached the registers. I then told her, that I wasn’t quite ready yet because I was was looking for ear buds and could not locate them in the store. Instead of doing what a lot of people would do…you know, saying…they are over there and then proceeding to point into the abius…this girl personally walked me over to the section of where the ear buds were and suggested several types. I was extremely pleased with her positive attitude and excellent customer service! I know that this little girl is not making much for what she does as Five Below is known for less than average pay. But if you have an employee like this she needs to be recognized. One thing I know about customers is that they LOVE to complain. However, in this case I am honored to have met NASIYA with her bright and positive attitude….she makes your store a great place to shop! WAY to GO NASIYA, I will definitely return to buy lots of other items for our family!

I worked for the company for less than 2 years and in the first 2 months went from seasonal freight crew to CEM! I worked my tail off during the pandemic with absolutely not training or even a good job for risking it all!!! Oh but the kicker here is like I said less than 2 years and I pushed my way all the way to MM! I earned it! I deserved it! But when I get it the new SM makes it her life mission yo try and ruin my life! She harassed, belittled, berated, made fun of, and made discriminatory comments (either because I’m of mixed race or a lesbian) to me for months and when I reached out for help no one does anything! Actually hold on! HR did do something. They told me that I had to change to appease my SM!!! I had to change myself so she would stop mentally and emotionally abusing me?! Can I get anyone to say mind boggling!!! This woman broke me down so low I had a mental breakdown. There was a period of 3 weeks that she had me leaving that building crying everyday!!!! Oh and when HR told me to fix myself and I finally realized that I was alone and the company clearly gives gold stars to racist, homophobic law breaking SM…. When I realized that’s what five below stood for. I had no choice but to turn in my letter of resignation and spend another 3 weeks crying because I was so hurt and now unemployed all while Kimberly gets to sit on her five below thrown thinking she got away with breaking the law!!

My daughter on yesterday went to You all store to speak with the manager about an application she had posted for employment.She’s a college student here at UCA majoring in Nursing. Just doing a follow up, although their are signs posted outside as well as inside the store “HIRING NOW”.. ok she was told by you all manager that the signs were just up their but the store really wasn’t hiring..in other words hiring but not hiring. She told me that I became very confused by that so I just needed to know what does that mean. I had one of her white friends to go in and he gladly told her they were hiring and how to apply. So really what does that tell you about the people you put in place to represent you and your livelihood. I hate my daughter seen first hand how prejudice people could really be. Yes her little feelings were hurt so I decided not to shop in your stores again and spread the word. She has worked in retail like JCPenny and Walmart. I went in your store on July 4th and this young man couldn’t answer anything practically that I asked home not to mention where something was in the store. So in the future please screen your employees very carefully. She would have had positive feed back from her previous employers and references. Just know that this is a disappointment situation. Whom ever that person is in your store need to be educated and maybe he doesn’t need to be working in your store.

I’ve only worked for Five Below at Waite Park, MN a little over a month. First it seemed great. Later on I overheard couple of the employees, including a manager, talking about me behind my back that didn’t seem nice. I also haven’t been scheduled for 3 weeks then to come find out I can’t even log in into the system! If someone is gonna fire someone, at least give them a warning or explain in person. Hey me and someone else are literally going thru the same situation… And showing favoritism. We have been there since open and yes I made a mistake but the schedule is constantly being revised 2 and 3 times a week so I got a ncns because of it. But never called out not once since we opened Oct 11 I started in Sept. But, begging for extra hours coming in when other people don’t. And I have 3 kids and I don’t complain I just do it… And to still not let me work more hours. Pisses me off. I’m offering to fix my honest mistake, didn’t make excuses cause there was no reason to… I’m just frustrated w this situation. Then they keep saying we need more people so I told a couple of people and one of my friends, she already gets a job last week and she is getting 5 days a week and stocks and does sales… How is this fair to the people that have been there???

You have a delivery driver that just delivered to your store in Greeneville, TN and he has an attitude problem. He was blocking my emergency exit door with a pallet of merchandise. He only had 1 pallet in the way and would of taken 2 minutes to move. Instead he rubbed his eye and said go cry to someone that cares. So I did, I called the police but they couldn’t do anything but ask Five Below manager to move the pallets. The next time there will be a $500 fine. Someone needs to eliminate this idiot from delivering to the Greeneville store or anywhere else. He doesn’t care about safety.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They have not paid my husband’s child support order since April 15th!!! $5,000.00 in ARREARS NOW!!! Spoke to a so-called payroll dept employee 2 MONTHS ago and said they were calling to take care of the issue w/Child Support Enforcement Agency as soon as we hung up. NOTHING DONE!!!! Again, 3 wks ago called and says she will take care of this and make sure this was paid and here we are another paycheck and NOTHING PAID!!!! Your employee works very hard for his salary and has THREE CHILDREN to support you NEGLIGENT MORONS!!!!!! WHY would you suddenly STOP ALL CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS?!!?!?! WHAT CHANGED???? The kids are all still here and NEED SUPPORT!!!!! NO PAYMENTS SINCE APRIL!!!! I have left voicemail messages, sent emails, sent photos showing the arrears and non-pymts, and Child Support sent numerous letters and still nothing paid! HOW HARD IS TO GET OUT A SIMPLE CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENT???? YOU ALL SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!! I hope those in top positions can see how the utter stupidity of this payroll dept. is really messing up the lives of their hard working employee!!!! I work at store 213 in XXXXeysville, Maryland and am shocked by these poor reviews. I have had nothing but great experiences working for Five Below. From my manager to the store key holders and all the managers of other stores I’ve met, everyone has been fantastic. I’m sorry to see so many poor reviews but please don’t judge an entire company by these comments. Unfortunately most people with positive experiences don’t leave reviews. If they did they would vastly outnumber the negative ones. Our customers love our store and I have had several go over my head simply to compliment my work and our store. I love this company and I hope to work here for some time.

My heartfelt thanks to the manager, Lynchburg, VA Matthew Winebarger and Lee Ann and others who were kind enough to see that my white gold college ring was returned to me. Apparently, I lost it in the Lynchburg, VA store. An employee found it and the manager posted on Facebook to locate the owner. I picked my ring up today. They were so helpful. Some people would’ve kept the ring and melted it down for gold. Others could care less about finding a way to contact the owner. Thank you to the honest employees of Five Below in Lynchburg, VA. I was hired for temporary help for the Christmas time. I was told I would get paid on the 15th of December. Here it is the 16th, and no check. I promptly quit, for I refuse to work for free. No one seems to know where my check is, but “we’ll call you when we know”. Thanks for nothing. After seeing all of the negative reviews about this company, I wish I would have known this before investing my time and $100 for gas for nothing in return. Think twice before applying here. I will be contacting HR and ADP first thing Monday morning.

First of all I was treated like s**t by everymanager there , I felt very uncomfortable as every time I would walk back up front from cleaning the store they would stop talking as I was being talked about .. Today I was shopping at Five Below at the Philadelphia Mills location. Involuntarily, I became the witness of an unprofessional treatment of an employee by its management. I as well as everyone standing in line to at the registered watched as one of the managers was yelling at one of their employees. I believe that due to the difference in positions, the sale associate was not able to allow herself to reproach to the higher ranking manager. In addition, I noticed that no one else from the employees would really attempt to intervene in the conflict. I was not aware of the background of this conflict but regardless I am of opinion that no one should be treated in such a manner at their workplace. Not only managers should be speaking in a more respectful and professional manner, they also should not be scolding their employees in front of the customers shopping in their store. This type of behavior creates an unpleasant and unfriendly environment not only for people working there but for the people shopping at Five Below as well.
As I was watching the entire scene I completely forgot that I was still waiting in line at the checkout. Suddenly I realized that I refuse to support a store that has such a hostile and disrespectful environment. I left the items and walked right out. I am contacting you not only to bring awareness of the unjust actions but also for the sake of the employees that work there. I imagine that due to the fear of losing their job no one would have the courage to speak up against their manager. However, I hope that the corporate office will step in and bring justice.

Went to your Levittown store today and had the worst experience with your cashier. I am a regular customer and have not seen this cashier before. I believe it is holiday help. When I went to check out I asked about a price and the girl said (with an attitude) “I don’t know!”. I then saw her roll her eyes at another cashier and laugh. How unprofessional. I believe her name was Kayla (tall, glasses, dark hair). My neighbors shop there as well as said they had the same experience with her attitude. I will stay out of your stores this holiday season and shop elsewhere. I find it shady that my son has asked about employment at your store regularly but it seems they just hire friends of friends without looking into their background. I later called the Levittown location and asked for a manager for a complaint. Whoever picked up the phone said they cannot give out that information so I am left to email the corporate office unfortunately. I have only visited the Five Below Store in Mays Landing NJ.
I love this store and so does my daughter. I don’t know names of the employees but each time i have gone there everyone is helpful and pleasant. The often have knowledge of items that are trending and i believe this increases sales. The store has lots to choose from and is clean and organized. If other stores are getting complaints maybe they should look into how the Mays Landing NJ store management does things.

This company is irresponsible. Five below sells packaged and sealed merchandise that is missing necessary parts. Most customers won’t have the time or patience to return these items leaving the company with unearned profits they don’t deserve. They should not be in business in my opinion.

The store in evansville indiana is ridiculous I have shopped there quite a few times and my experience have not been well the store is always a mess nothing is priced employees have been rude on more than one occasion I asked to speak to the GM he said his name was Zack he was not friendly and had no knowledge of anything his response to things being priced was most things are priced on the package and his answer to a nasty store that you can’t find anything your looking for was they send us to much freight . The worst part is my daughter was down a few Isles and he finished speaking to me he went to a female employee and began talking s**t about me to her loud enough that my daughter could here him and told the female employee that he can’t ( f-ing ) help it if they keep sending s**t and there is no where to put it I don’t understand how you could have someone like that running a store..

I am going through a very similar situation with my African American daughter who is a five below employee. This one manager has been “something else”! My daughter is also a very hard worker who goes in on her off days, even at last minutes notice and stays way later than she probably should seeing as she is still in high school. This particular manager texted my daughter that she needed to quit! This was a major surprise not to just us but her fellow employees and other managers. The next day my daughter was scheduled to work, right before her shift began, this certain “manager” text her and told her that she wasn’t needed because she found someone else to cover her shift! WHY? Why was her shift given to someone else if she hadn’t called off? We then called the store to see what was going on, and that’s when we were told by another manager that my daughter was completely removed from the schedule because she quit!! This was an even greater surprise to us all because my daughter never QUIT or told anyone that she QUIT! This was all a huge lie!! We have yet to get any answers on why this was able to happen! How can these managers just do what they please without any repercussion! This is not the first issue with this manager and my daughter is not the first person to have many issues with this “manager”!

I think it is sad the way the managers treat their employees. I was working at this store and the management is a joke. I have been a manager and a DM and I have never seen should poor piss management. My daughter in law was in the hospital today and the assistant manager is telling her she has to come. Excuse me but she is in the hospital she can’t come in. The schedule is always changing without notice. The management takes more time off than I have ever heard. The show favorits they stay on the phone all the time. Thier holy or friends show up and the management for outside and talks for hours. They are on their cell phones. They are not very professional and from what I have felt with the corporate office never returns calls. The DM won’t correct the problems in the store. Yhey have change in the mangers office to fix tills that come up over or short. I could go on for the rest of the day. This company needs to get professional or close all the stores.

Sigh. Former employee here. After reading the reviews, it appears I will not be getting paid and had worked for free. Here we are 9 days into July and I still have not been paid for April 18th. I have been told time and time again that it will be in the mail. Tired of the run around. First thing Monday morning I will be mailing off my certified letter to headquarters asking one more time for my pay. If I do not get it, I will press charges for theft of wages. In Ohio an employer has two pay periods to get me my pay, or else I can sue for double the amount I am owed.
They truly believe that they have stupid employees. So sorry it came to this. I really did enjoy the location and people I worked with.

Bad, bad, bad, company. My husband and I worked our butts off hanging wallpaper and painting to get new stores ready to open. We were called several times a day to hurry us along by the construction manager and complimented on our work ethics as we worked weekends to finish on time. We are owed 11,000 dollars!!!!!! No one at the company will return our calls or emails and are refusing to pay us. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I will never shop at 5 Below again. I interviewed for a job at the Catonsville, MD store on or about may 4th. Greg, the asst. Man. Said the manager, Amiss would be back the following Wed or Thurs. I called her on Mon. the 8th. She told me there would be a decision later that week. Well I have not had a response, very unprofessional.

I was hired as General Manager at the Gurnee Illinois location. I worked very hard and was a dedicated employee. From the beginning of my employment i had many obstacles to over come from current staff. My first month my personal information such as social security card photos from being scanned in, my drivers license, and banking information was plastered in several folders on computer everyone had access to. I have had several false accusations from the employees i am referring to that i was constantly defending my character about. My personal life was constantly violated in many ways. It was constant harassment. Although during this 3 month period i increased sales, customer surveys, and was always doing my job above and beyond what was asked from me. These employees didnt like rules and policy being set and because of hours given some by directions of my DM. I was building a team that benefited Five Below. Because of complaints by these employees that were false and i offered doXXXXentation to proof this , i was let go from Five Below. Never was as much as a write up. I performed my job accurately and met every expectation. I really dont understand how in any way this is ok.

On April 2,2017 I shopped at the Five Below-Park Plaza 558 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD, my purchase totaled $56.92. Upon swiping my bank card the cashier told me it was declined I knew it had to be an error as I had just check my balance which far exceeded the purchase amount I was making. She insisted it was declined so I than swiped my credit card ,which it took. I left the store and sat in my car and again checked my debt balance and found not only was there more than sufficient amount of money but the purchase of $56.92 was in fact taken out of my account. I than checked my credit card found it too had been charged for the amount of $56.92. I immediately went back in the store and spoke to the MOD Sydney showed her the two charges for the same amount that was charged to both cards. She assured me she would email the proper person in charge of taking care of these type issues and it would be credited back to one of my accounts (why she didn’t just credit back to my credit card at that time is just beyond me). Ten days later I again called MOD Sydney and explained I still hadn’t received my credit she once again told me she would email Christy at the corp office to issue the credit, it is now April 20th and I still haven’t received my credit. This is the worst customer service I have EVER received from any retail company. Let me assure you myself and my family members will not be shopping at any Five Belows ever again. I also plan to put this on my social media to let everyone know what poor service Five Below provides. I am a retired senior citizen and on a fixed income I would and expect my credit so I can spend it elsewhere. POOR SERVICE PROVIDERS DO NOT SHOP FIVE BELOW!!!

An Employee, Ester, at the 1600 Mall of Georgia Unit 1120 Buford Georgia 30519 location told me there were Potty Putters in stock when I called earlier in the day, I asked how many and she replied “a lot” so not worrrying about putting one on hold because there were “a lot” I went to the store. When I arrived at the location the Potty Putters were no where to be found. I then flagged down another employee who told me they were all out and had been out. So at this point I am livid because I live 1 hour and 30 minutes away from this five below and what I was told was in stock is no where to be found!!!! So Ester then tells the employee I flagged down to help me she thought I meant silly putty???? I really don’t know how you get those two confused. But it’s been 5 hours and I’m still livid.

I worked at the Viera Florida location(put my two weeks in to day) I opened the store worked there for about 2 years. The customers are very rude they don’t care what they do they destroy the store and steal everything. Our GM Stacey Flanagen AND assistant manager stacey summers just tell us to kick them out when stealing but when they are verbally abusing us or threatening us they tell us just let them have their way! The Viera Florida managers put there work off onto everyone else because they have so much work already. There always busy sitting in the back on their phones talking to their family even thought there is a line a mile long and we call them upfront multiple times. The Assistant Manager happens to be the GM best friend so stacey Flanagan our GM wont fire her even though she bullies employees and just a couple weeks ago I talked to the AM about other employees not pulling they’re weight and told me to stop “Bi**hing”. Both of the managers need to be fired. They let employees and customers shop even though there had been BLACK MOLD for months at the cash wrap and the coolers.

I work in a store in MO and I like the crew and Manager is great. Our store is newer but we all work as a tight team. We are all frustrated about the requirement for every cashier to take the email of every customer every time …no matter what. We have been told to even use friends and family emails that we have memorized just to fill the quota that Corporate wants us to have. Most people say no, they don’t have one (even if they are checking email on a cell phone), or do not want to give it out. After Christmas we had a lot of kids with gift cards. I will NOT ask any person under 18 for an email. Corporate just does not care. They only care about emails and they ride the managers who then have to ride us. Oh! AND our ability to get a raise is completely dependent on whether we have a high email percentage. That is good working emails that they can push daily junk mail to and tell every person to come shop every day. You do not even get the chance to choose to get a weekly email or a monthly email or just the ads. Nope. You get everything.
I am so sick of asking every single person for their email and sick of seeing the looks of anger and rude comments when I ask them.
If Five Below wants good customer relations…..redo the email crap into a reward program that they sign up for. Tie it to a phone number and just have the person type their phone in like Walgreens and then we don’t type in anything. No ask, no anger, no problems.

I’ve called and now I’m going to go up there. They’re are no breaks or lunches. I started working for this company during Christmas . Working more than 8 hours on my feet. wow, I am having a similar situation with my daughter in our store location in Illinois. She was sent a text message by her so called “manager” that she needed to quit! My daughter was scheduled to work the next day but right before the start of her shift, she received a phone call from this so called manager saying that there was no need for her to come in because she found someone to cover her shift! There was no need to find shift coverage for her because she hadn’t called off! We then called to the store to see what was going on and that’s when we were told that my daughter was completely removed from the schedule because she quit! This was a complete lie! She hadn’t quit or had told anyone she quit! We are still waiting on answers from someone about this B.S! I am currently looking to speak with a lawyer about our situation. I have emailed corporate a number of times with no avail. These so called managers cannot get away with this mistreatment of staff especially our young ethnic workers.

I work at the store in Bradley Illlinois, since my GM has come back from leave it has been pure chaos. We have employees putting in two weeks notice or seeking employment elsewhere. She refers to herself as “the XXXXXX” but in reality it’s her laziness that is causing people to quit. When she was gone the store ran perfectly. Everyone was happy and customers enjoyed shopping here, but now customers make comments that she on the phone with personal phone calls. During the holiday season, she spent her time in the office while we struggled to cover the registers and the floor. I would call the employee hotline but if Mary recognizing your voice she’ll tell Heather so what good is that? I’m tired of the silliness and want the store to return back to the way it was…..when everyone including management worked. Heather claims that she’s delegating tasks, but how much delegating can you do while eating and talking on the phone. Please take care of this issue.

I know the feeling I understand what you’re going through because when I was hired in at 5 below but my boss was very nice and very generous and then when corporate messed up my paycheck and it took them almost six weeks to pay me I have been treated unfairly mean unruly by the manager and I’ve also been left that store 3 times now in tears the customers complain about her all the time they do hate coming in there when she’s there the other employees complain about it in fact I know of three of them that are leaving I don’t understand how these people can get these jobs and people like us who deserve these jobs cannot have these jobs I have been a cashier for 30 years I was also an assistant manager for several places I have never ever dreamt of treating my employees the way that we. I worked at a Five Below in Columbia Sc. It was cool at first but then I learned that my manager at the time was a very mean individual with the way he treated and talked to some of his associates. Before I resigned, I was never at work because I was never on the schedule. I got the job because I thought I would have a consistent schedule like a normal job. The male manager Ben talks down on everyone, and if you ask a question he talks to you like your dumb. He’s always in a rush & pushing people around & doesnt take mistakes into consideration. I started a position at the Woodbridge Nj store as a key. I just feel like the Store Manager is rude and unpleasant. I understand you have to run a store but there’s better ways in doing that. Not everyone is going to take the way you talk to them. For one I am not that person. So my name is yahira but everyone called me yari I was a fright shift leader and key holder at the Milford Connecticut store I recently resigned because of my store manager she wanted everything to be done at a. Certain Time so if we came in @5am to 10 am she wanted ever thing to be done by ten ok that fine but if u only have 2 people working how do u want use to do 5 or 6. Pallet she alwayas make sure she has a full staff when she working but she did not care to do the same with me and any of the managers on duty It not like when she was there she did anything all she did is b in the back all day and eat or b on her phone like u told u I had to open one day and it was me and 2 new people what was I going to do on a sat morning with to New people that cant b on regester she got 4 New people to work with me but one of them was. No good for nothing because whilewe did 10 boxes he was only on 2 the other one was working perfectly he found a another job and she was still put him on the schedule even though she knew he was not coming in at 5 in the morning and didn’t tell me anything and then expected me and one more person to do 7 pallets in four hours which is not even it’s just not even right that she would get mad because half of the stuff was not done but with two people for hours no way we were going to get 7 pallets done there’s so many complaints about this manager at the Milford store by her own employees if anybody ever needed her she would never pick up her phone but she was too busy doing something else so I got tired and I decided to resign I love the company I will work for it again just not as her as my manager the only time she wanted to be at the store was when r boss Jeff email that he was going to be in the store that morning she would have everybody be at the store and we can show this to look clean and say someone else did something and just noticed that she will take the credit for it even though she didn’t do it she’s had a lot of people work and quit on her the same day just because they know how she is there’s a lot of people who are working there now at this moment and everything why they don’t leave is because they have no other job but if it was up to them and they had another job she would be in the store by herself it’s unfortunate because the store is nice and I love to working there but when you have a manager who only thinks about herself and doesn’t care about anybody else is really tough to work in an environment like that I would really love for Tom to see this message because this note for store needs a change and it needs to come soon she does not want to talk to anybody if she got into a confrontation with them she will be spiteful and cut your hours she wouldn’t even speak to you you would have to figure out what you needed to do and I just don’t understand how Corporate or any other big bosses c this like I said I would love to work for your company again just not with her

I’m so upset. I was at the new store in Valley Stream, Green Acres Mall, NY. I was called for an interview today, I arrived at the store a little early. Then I spoke to the manager, who then told me to come back at my scheduled time. I came back at my scheduled time, which was 4:20pm. I told one of the cashiers I was back for interview and she went back to go get the manager. Then the same lady came back, grabbed a clipboard, and proceeded to tell me that she (the cashier) was conducting the interview, on the sales floor, in front of customers. She then asked me my availability and why I wanted to work at the store. After I gave my response she(the cashier) told me that they’d lost my application and that I had to do another 1. After that was said, the manager comes from the back. By then I felt so disrespected, felt that the store was unprofessional, and proceeded to tell the ladies thanks for their time and left the store. My time was totally wasted.

My daughter went in for the walk in interviews today at the Douglasville Ga location. First the manager was rude because she didn’t want to start interviews until 3pm even though online it states 2pm. She stood at the front of an empty store for 15mins before she even spoke to us!!! Very unprofessional and the look on her face proved she was not interested in talking to my daughter. Finally she walked over and asked for her resume.. I told her she is only 17 and this would be her first job so I’m not sure what would go on the resume. She rudely told me it would be “basic” information and refused to even interview my daughter. I spent a LOT of money In this store with our 7 children! Almost all of their bday & Christmas presents came from 5below plus we used your store as a reward.. Notice I put spent! I refuse to spend my money in a store that has employees who speak so rudely to others!

I was a recent assistant manager at the rim I. San Antonio. My gm went out on medical leave and a mitt came in to run the store after leaving me fend fir myself for over a month with only a few employees and me being only 90 days into this horrible company. I was lied to and written up for things I did not do I was a very dedicated employee who saw some wrong things going on and I could never get the DM to listen or even care to marcelino care never took the time to hear my side and I was fired for sending false surveys. was rude with my special need son. 2017 & still ignorance in the community about autism: Went to the store five below. My son is into shaking paper. He came to the store with paper and i guess he saw a nice white paper in the register and decided to grab it and switch papers. My eyes are between 2 kids so did not realize he took that paper. I notice security following us and special to my son .5 minutes in the store this employee approach my son with a nasty look and nasty body language. My son off course ignore him and turn his back. I said yes Sr. He said I need that paper back now. I said sorry here is u paper he left furious. I asked to speak with the store manager and guess what he was the manager. Went My son took that paper manager told the security to follow My son he was guessing he may steal items? I said to the security please do me a favor tell the manager my son has autism and was not need to be so ugly and overreacting about a piece of paper. I hope and pray that people like him have more kindness and heart with individuals with disabilities.? I will not be shopping at five below.

My Granddaughter worked for the 5 and below in Mansfield, noticed I said WORKED. She was in the store for 2 months. She had a manager make fun of her openly, correcting her speech, making fun of her for the way she would say word’s. I don’t know about any of you but you don’t do that to someone in the work field for the first time. My granddaughter was bashful and she learned she had to speak with the public and she did it! She was lied on by the same person. Five and Below manager’s don’t care about the people working as a cashier they want to look important. After reading the comments from Augustine I would like to also add that something similar happened. After being at the store for a year and a half , I too am experiencing some issues with the scheduling of hours. Since I am stepping down as a key holder, I was told by Randi Parsons, the manager, that I would not be getting at least 20 hours a week. She told me 3 TIMES that she has a girl in high school that needs at least 15 to graduate.WHAT??? I told her this is real life and that I need those hours to pay my bills and mortgage. She flippantly told me to do what I needed to. I see that we have a girl who was hired as seasonal,but yet she is receiving more hours that the other associates who have been there longer. It has really opened my eyes about this company that i currently work for. I am sure there will be backlash as to these comments.

i am currently employed at your State College Pa. store#157. The East coast has known about this snow storm for a whole week. Last nite I had the asst. manager, Talia Johnson, text me at 9:30 and asked that I call her. I did and she asked if I could open the store in the morning, since I only have 23.5 hours. I replied no and before I could say anything else was rudely HUNG UP on.When I texted her back and told her that was no way for an asst. manager to speak to an associate/key holder. She replied that she was pissed off and that I would not like what she had to say. And did I realize that she had to drive 45 minutes in inclement weather to open if myself or the other key holder did not come in? I replied that it was my day OFF and I was NOT scheduled to work, I have plans. This is just one more reason that I am stepping down as key holder.My work record speaks for itself. I am ALWAYS on time and ready to work. The only time I was late, I witnessed an accident and the called to let them know I would be 15 minutes late to speak with the officer at the scene. In the year that I worked, I only missed one week and that was because I had to go to the hospital with my illness.I have come to realize that this company could care less about its employees. I have a disability that keeps me from performing my job duties, even thought I try my best and give 120% each and everytime I am scheduled. I feel as though I am being pushed to do more. When I was hired I made it known about my injury, so if I could not do it, why was I made a key holder? It seems as though as soon as I gave them my doctors orders, they seemed to have a issue with it. They know that I can only work so many hours, so why would I be asked to work more? Even though I said I couldn’t work more than 6 hours a day, they still pushed it. I have come to realize that this company isn’t that concerned about employees, just the almighty dollar.

I run a group home for mentally and physically disabled adults We take our people to the Manchester, Ct. store and they are chaperoned throughout their shopping trip. On a recent trip one of our disabled charges accidentally knocked over some boxes of toys that were piled on the floor. One of the employees walked over and called him stupid and went on a rant. This was totally uncalled for and you can visually tell our client has multiple disabilities. The chaperon asked the cashier to speak to a manager and it turned out the offensive woman was the manager. This older woman seemed to be physically disabled herself and should know better than to use the word “stupid” to anyone facing challenges. This type of intolerance is astounding and after calling the store many times to speak to someone in charge I was hung up on. We will never return to this location and frankly, neither should anyone else. Five Below should not entertain this type of ignorance as I can only imagine the lawsuits that may start to roll in. Your treatment of the disabled is appalling and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I wonder if some bad press in local media outlets will bring you to your senses.

Hello I recently went into your store located in Frisco TX and I experienced the most helpful person she said her name was maurine and she was new but she was amazing she went above and behind to make sure I was satisfied she was so great every company should have some one like her

Also I just remembered that when manager Tasha netashia, said those cutting down discouraging belittling words to your employes , there also standing at two different times was the GM, Krystal, crystal tashia manager, and she heard and just laughed it off, at the embarrassment of some of your new employes , this was really bad and awkward to be near and very unprofessional , please fix these problems and protect your new employes . I nor them should experience any back lash for telling to truth , the managers should come forth and tell the truth and even be fired or demoted to the entry level and go away from your new store , that they don’t care about and have started making a mess for you the owners. New much better trained and respectful real leaders are needed there at your new store in salisbury, nc, and on a good note I and many of my family and friends like your other stores and products and prices and concept good job and hopefully all your new locations will be a big success . This past weekend , your company opened a new store in Salis, NC, there was some very disturbing things that took place while I was in the store shopping,, a lady who I was told, was a manager of your company, going by the name Tasha, or Nateshia , I heard her same some very belittling rude un professional not nessary words to a couple of your store employees and embarrassed them in front of a bunch of your customers, I hope the new young employes feel comfortable with telling you at corporate what is going on there, with out feeling there would be a back lash, for being honest about your leadership in that store In salisbury nc. , then if that was not enough , I then spoke to my neihbor who is the district manager for a large retail comp. and his son started working for your company in salisbury this weekend and he said that a assistant manager daytria Datria,, cursed at some of the employes using the F… Word several times at workers under her at time when there was no other store leaders there , just after customers left and the store door was locked , while cleaning up, she called them the F… Word , several times out loud , several witnesses, that is very very very wrong and they may take it to proper authorities.

WE WENT INTO THE NEWNAN GEORGIA STORE TO GET AN ADVERTIZED ITEM. NONE WERE IN STOCK BUT ANOTHER SHIPMENT WOULD BE ARRIVING IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THE GM BOB OFFERED TO CALL US WHEN THE ITEM WAS AVAILABLE. HE CALLED US AND PUT THE ITEMS IN HIS OFFICE WHEN WE TOLD HIM WE COULD COME BY THE NEXT DAY. THIS WAS THE BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. HOPE ALL STORES HAVE AS GREAT A GM AS BOB WAS.

my experience here was the worst .I have been working on sales and customer service for over 13 yrs and never seen anything like this. to start off management is not professional , no one care of filling out direct deposit info for employees so the first week of pay period everyone had a bad experience because they did not get paid for their hard work on time because of store managers negligence , they didn’t even know if they was going to get paid on pay card , check or direct deposit. who does that?! what kind of manager does not know anything about their employees working hrs and pay?! this was my first red flag but I understand mistakes can happen . second pay period same thing all over again even tho I had given the store manager my direct deposit info on orientation day I still had to wait to get my check on the mail on Saturday. Every time I asked management they gave me the run around and blatantly tell me ” oh just wait for it today or tomorrow” to hear that was very offensive to me being that I showed up to work on time every day and never called out I even showed up to work if they needed me on my days off. the reason why they didn’t care is because they had come from another store and they payroll info was already in 5 below system and they got paid in time. managers had names for employees , like special ( not that way you would think ) lol , XXXXX tard, and other names , I felt like wow I can only image the kind of stuff they gonna talk about me as soon as I leave this room. I didn’t care anyways but it made me feel uncomfortable to work at a place like this, in the real life we all think of things like these but we keep it to our self because we know how to be professional and not a sXXXX bag. The store manager even told me ” Oh don’t worry about it I schedule the ppl I like to work with me so the ones I don’t like I don’t have to see them” .” Don’t worry you work hard so you are good’ and the next week I show up to not having any hrs on my schedule even tho I had checked that schedule two days prior and I had 9 hrs for that wk only worked one shift and then they took off the other day I was supposed to work off the schedule without letting me know. Management , key holders and back of the house staff gets all the hrs every one else gets 4 to 9 hrs wkly if they are available. I wish someone would have told me this when I applied for the job because I was looking for something long term and not a temp job. I end up quitting this job because they don’t know how to run their team and lack of professionalism. Opening day we had ppl come from home office and they was talking about each others behind their back. a customer got the $100 dollar scratch off and one of the guys from home office said ” Why couldnt it been a $20 one instead?! I was like ?!! really??!! Are you that Fck### cheap. If that was such a big issue they should have not given those out in the 1st place. overall stay away from 5 below career wise. they only use ppl to open their stores and then give you no hrs so you are forced to quit and not have to pay out unemployment.

5 below is the worst company ever. The store Schaumburg store has a 50 ur old manager who only speaks of being a stopper in her 20’s and having 3somes with men and women. I was discriminated against for being sick and the assistant manager hired 2 family members at the same location which is clearly against the company policy and is in the Five Below handbook but she still there as well as their family members. none of the stores have cameras so people are free to steal and do whatever they like.corporate doesn’t even step in to enforce the rules that they have set in their handbook.I am currently speaking with an employment lawyer and they have made me aware of all sorts of violations that they are doing and from what I see on this site there are several complaints about many other five below stores this is a company that will not make it because they do not know how to treat people I don’t recommend shopping there even if the store was called a dollar below the people are horrible

I did a fundraiser in May of 2014-and (stupidly) in Novemeber of 2014. The checks have not been sent to mychurch0employees/manager Ava (brentwood TN store) will not call me back-maybe once after I called the regional manager brian diddy. She was “looking into it”. Its Feb. 19th 2015. Really? No one will even tell me how much we made-2 fundraisers and the only one who made any money is five below!!!!!

The XXXXmings Ga store, employees at that store are getting wrote up for no reason, plus employees are going to back room to sit there watching videos in their phones while they leave one employee to a full store, plus when help is need bell gets rung nobody shows up for at least up to 5 to more minutes which makes cashier look bad because they have to keep apologizing to customers and managers are doing this too, yall need to send someone to act as customer to see whats going on, a CALL IS NOT GOING TO DO GOOD, BECAUSE THEY WILL LIE, SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHOW UP, plus this store seems to have bad ratings, its time to make a change for this store

While shopping in your Columbia location a man exposed himself to my children . Due to the fact that there are NO cameras in this store police told me this man would probably not be caught. This has affected my children in a very negative way. I will be consulting with a lawyer on this matter. Please email me back. Something needs to be done so this does not happen again.

I was in your Cherry Hill, NJ store today at 7:15pm buying things for school and there was a chipmunk crawling around the store. The chipmunk was crawling through EVERYTHING!!! The clothes, the laptop pillows and all. It was very disgusting. The employees noticed the customers reactions, screams and all but did not seem to care at all. One of the store employees said that it has been in there majority of the day. Also, she said that if it is still in the store for 2 more days that she will call animal control to pick it up and an exterminator. I believe it must have came from the pet store next door or from the trees near there. It was very disgusting and not safe. I hope Five Below does something about it.

I would like to say five below is not a cheap dollar store…they have a lot of nice things for cheap..I was just at the Kennedy plaza store in chicago with my friend first timers..and I was amazed.. there CUSTOMER service was Excellent and the store manager should have been in marketing…because I purchased 300 book bags for a little of nothing..normally you never see managers out working and being a team player…..Period. I asked if he wanted to come work for me..Greg EXCELLENT hire… way to go five below.

I set up a fund raiser with one of your Springfield stores in New Jersey and spoke to a manager named eddie eventually I never received the check that was promised to me I am very upset because the manager keeps giving me the runaround this fundraiser was for children with cerebral palsy and they keep telling me That check was sent out that was four months ago can someone please help us thank you

I was sent a coupon via email for the store in Portage, MI. it was $5.00 off if you spent $25 or more. When I went to use the coupon I was told five below does not take coupons at all ever. It was disappointing. I have unsubscribed from your email list.

I am a big fan of 5 below and love the store and shopping there especially for the kids. Lately I have bought 3 different pairs of earphones and on each one only one side is working. I am a dialysis patient and during my 4 hour treatment we can look at T.V but must have earphones. Its a little disappointing to purchase something three times thinking the next item would be working correctly and it’s not. As I stated earlier I love this store and will continue shopping there I just ask if possible to provide a better quality of item. Thank you!

I shopped at your store yesterday, at the LIncoln Mall Site in Rhode Island.
The store number is #412 and it was around 11:00 A.M.
While shopping I picked up two pencil cases from the display that was marked all for $1.00. I understand that other displays had various prices ranging from $1.00 to $3.00.
An employee I assume had mistakenly placed the box of pencil cases on the wrong table as they were suppose to be $3.00.
I didn’t realize this until I reached the cashier who rang them in as $3.00. I told her I thought they were $1.00 and she came with me to the display. She said they were really $3.00 but since they were on that table she’d ask the manager what to do.
Well the assistant manager came out removed the box said they were $3.00 and that was the end of discussion. I tried to tell her that because some one left them on the wrong display she would have to give them to me for $1.00 each, but she refused.
I than asked for her business card and she told me she didn’t have one. I asked for her name and she said. “Linda”. She would not give me her last name.
I have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and shop at your store on a regular basis. As you can see I’m only talking about $4.00 here but to me it’s the principle of the matter.
I didn’t purchase the pencil boxes and I won’t return to your store to shop because I believe I was treated unfairly and by law I should have received the boxes for a dollar each. In this day and age I shop where I’m treated with the proper respect.
If your management team has this attitude I wish you well as a corporation.
I must say that the cashier, her name is Shelia, was very considerate and helpful.
I think she was upset with the assistant manager but could not say anything.
Do not expect me to patronize your store in the future. I thought you should be told of this situation.

I purchase video game left the Store with my receipt went into Walmart next. I didn’t drop the game in my car instead proceed walking into the doors. The alarm went off. I wasn’t worried I had my receipt from you. If they had problems I bought from five below. What is your take on my idea? You don’t have anything disarm the security on the game.
