Founded in 1924 by Raymond DeWalt, the company was the first to manufacture the radial arm saw. The company manufactures and sells a wide range of tools, including automotive, bus, diesel, and power tools.
Today, the company operates as a subsidiary of Stanley Black and Decker. Between 2002 and 2013, the company stopped manufacturing their tools in America. As of 2015, however, the company has 7 manufacturing plants in the US.
DeWalt announced in 2016 that it had developed an Android based smart phone for building industry workers. The phone is designed to withstand a 6 foot drop onto a concrete floor, as well as temps between -20c and 60c.

Hello I just want you to be aware! I am an electrician in Philadelphia I buy a lot of DeWalt tools and now I will no longer! I went to your repair center to swap out a bad battery that is under warranty after speaking with them on the phone. I drove an hour through traffic using fuel and valuable time. When I get there the manager of your repair center told me he would not swap out the battery. He claims the battery was water damaged. The battery has not been in water! It was acid! I dont appreciate being called a lire or made to feel like I was doing something wrong!!! I can for now on buy Milwaukee tools!!!

This has nothing to do with tools but something to do with your company Representatives. A family moved in next door to me and one of them has a F 350 pickup truck that is bright YELLOW and has Dewalt written all around it. I live on a street that has parking on one side so it is always challenging for folks to park. Now these new neighbors know this so they have no room for their cars in the driveway so they have parked this big YELLOW pickup on the street for 5 days without moving it. I have a question don’t they work? and if truck is not being used why do they have a company vehicle? I find that these folks are rude and self absored to leave truck on the street to save a spot plus it is a danger due to it’s size it is very difficult to back out of my driveway. The truck number is 18703 please help a neighbor out or I will take it up with the authorities.

I ordered batteries from a company called Power Tool Express. They (he, Bruce) is apparently an “affiliate” marketing “on-man business” that sells for many battery companies. He does not respect his customers, and will not honor a refund even after he recommends returning the items for a full refund. I returned the batteries but he fails to refund or even acknowledge the receipt of the batteries that has been verified by the USPS.
I notified the BBB and the State General Attorney’s Office of the situation. They attempted to reach out to him but he will not respond to them.
Now I’m notifying all his suppliers that he has a scam operation going on and that they should not deal with such people.
If nothing is done to prevent such actions I will recommend that the public not only not deal with Power Tool Express, but with anyone of his affiliates.
He “represents”: Makita, Dewalt, Black & Decker, Bosch Milwaukee, iRobot, Hilti, Paslode, Dyson, Craftsman, Ryobi, etc.
This is being sent to all of Power Tool Express suppliers, etc.
Good luck with this guy, he’s an idiot.

I am seeking permission to include photos of DeWalt tools in a curriculum program designed, developed and exclusive owned by the United States Army. I presume permission from DeWalt to do so would be in order. I have toured an Army training facility and noted that DeWalt seems to be a preferred manufacturer of power tools.
Is it possible to obtain a letter of permission from DeWalt if I provide specific information to the company? Please direct my question to the appropriate person/department who can address it.
Thank you.

Recently my son sent me a link to a DeWalt website: cuuhed.fun/index.php?main_page=index to purchase some tools for him. This website looks just like DeWalts website which said, “- – HOT SALE – -“. And at the bottom of the page it had the “Copyright © 2019 DeWalt Store. All Rights Reserved.” So I thought it was a legit website so I ordered the items
my son wanted. I got a confirmation email with the Order # the total was $78.00. I keep emailing this company wanting to know where my Order was because I never got a follow up email showing the tracking information. No one would answer me, then finally got email back from: Venus Cai saying they never got my Order but actually they did because they got my money. They took $82.00 instead of $78.00. So I checked the transaction information from my back account this is what it said,
——————————————————————————–
Purchase Authorized on 12/28/18
Angu NY Inc 917-214-2414 NY
Gave me authorization #
12/31/18 $82.00
Merchant Address: 917-214-XXXX NY
Transaction Type: Purchase
Category: Clothing/Accessories
——————————————————————————–
My Order amount was for $78.00. So this is a Fake Website claiming to be DeWalt this website looks the same as the legit website. So I got ripped off! Very pissed off. Don’t know if DeWalt is aware of this or not or if they even care but I wanted to let everyone know to beware of Fake / Scams. I will be reporting to the FTC, FBI, Reportphishing@ antiphishing.org and spam@ uce.gov and anyone else I think should know this. Hope DeWalt checks into this website and does something about it. I noticed that someone else posted something similar above but didn’t say if DeWalt did anything about it?

Hi , and thank you for taking the time to address my concern. I am a 62 year old retired electrical contractor, who now works as a customer service rep in Lowes home improvement center here in Sebring Florida(store #2224). I am in charge of the electrical, lighting, and tool world sections. I have used Dewalt products for over 25 years with total satisfaction. My last set was the 4 tool set, 18 volt in hard case. As these tools are old and the hammer drill is burned out, reciprocating saw also broken, I decided to purchase the 10 tool set DCK1020D2. I purchased this set on Nov. 5th 2018. The first and only tool I have used so far is the reciprocating saw. unfortunately after cutting through only 10- 2×4 pieces of wood, the battery went dead, the same with the second battery. So I recharged them to full charge and the same thing again. I called customer service and spoke to a gentleman who informed me that the batteries in this set are supposed to hold a charge for 1.5 hrs, and that there are several batteries available that will hold a longer charge. well I only used them for 15 minutes and they were exhausted. Thinking about this I was disappointed, so I went to your website and had a chat with a rep, who said that the product manager felt these batteries were adequate, NOT. obviously he never tried to use them. This set contains 4 tools that require a much stronger battery life than the ones that come with it. The most expensive set has the cheapest batteries? Just does not seem correct. After spending the cost for the set am I expected to then purchase separately additional batteries? I am emailing to see if you would be willing to accept that the batteries in this set should have a longer run time. I would have gladly paid more money for the set with better batteries, but not willing to pay for additional batteries after the fact, unless you can credit me for these batteries which I can send back and pay a small difference for better ones. If there is no remedy, I will have to return the entire set, and will have a hard time recommending this set to customers as well. I think that the tools are still great, and the set is a really nice variety of tools as well, but if I cant use them with inferior batteries, than that is meaningless. Again I thank you for taking the time to address my concern. Sincerely, Mark Welkes

I was just on Facebook and there is a company selling “DeWalt” power tools at ridiculously low prices. I was going to buy, but decided to take a closer look. The tools have the DeWalt name on them, but they are shipped out of China. On a page that talks about returns, it calls them “replica tools”
They also sell “Hiliti” tools, and some other name brands. I’d be putting a stop to this pirating if I were you. (Thought you’d want to know)

Called Dewalt tech support @ 1 (800) 433-9258. I guess they can just hang up if they feel like it. Like in my case.
Companies need to understand that we as customers pay their wages and without us they would not have a job. Furthermore they also need to understand that customers in my age group are semi retired and use our free time to do projects meaning we need to purchase tools and have the money to do so. If we are treated unfairly we can and will go elsewhere.
I have a lot of tools made by Dewalt and after getting hung up on my next step will be contacting head office and if that fails I will be selling all tools with the name Dewalt on them and moving to a company that stands behind their product.
For anyone that wants their head office number this is what I got 410 328-9307 of course it is a long distance call but I do believe it is time for us customers to let head office know what kind of quality they are selling us the paying customer!

Hello Peggy.
I never received any information.
To refresh, I want to purchase a laser lever for someone in China. The battery chargers in the U.S. are 120 volt only and China is 220 volt. So, for simplicity I like to purchase it in China with the 220 volt charger and Chinese instructions and have it shipped directly to the person in China for use in China. So I need to know what models are available for purchase and use in China and arrange the purchase and shipping to the end user.
I will try forwarding this email to Customer_inquiry.CT@ sbdinc.com.

Hi, my name is Brock McCrory. I am a 38 year old framing carpenter in Southern Louisiana, and I also manufacture custom furniture in my spare time. I have been a fan of Dewalt tools ever since the 18v line came out. I own so many dewalt products that I litterally have brand new ones in my bedroom, my wife hates this, but these tools are what helps me pay the bills and allows us to live in this beautiful house. I own the 12 1/2 ” planer, 20+ 20v products, sanders, hand tools, lasers, etc. The only products that I need, but cant currently get my wife to approve are the framers suspention tool belt, 60 v table saw, and the 20v framing nailer. I purchased the dck299d1t1 yesterday, and I as looking for reviews before my purchase, and I was surprised to find none. Im going to go leave one now, as a loyal Dewalt customer. My address is Bogalusa Louisiana 70427. Please send me some tools to test and review.

I have 3 of your DW735 planers and I needed a T-wrench for 2 of them. Fort Mill South Carolina sent me the ( 5140067-13 ) which was the WRONG T-wrench for the DW735.After many phone calls to them, they told me that you have stopped making the correct one which is 5140010-73.The DW735 is still being sold in stores and already you have stopped making some parts for this planer. Due to this problem, I feel like I should be buying tools from a company that can furnish parts for the future tools that I will be buying. Now, you tell me why I should keep buying DE Walt tools ??
